Sorry it took me a while to get on but just to say iggy's scan was fine and bub is growing well...yay!

barbie1 · 10/02/2010 17:46

Im bleeding

Just called mat unit and they said unless i have regular contractions just to sit tight...i think its due to internal today but boy was my heart in my mouth....makes it all seem so real that im going to have a baby!!!

Back tomorrow, love to all xxx

4everhopeful · 10/02/2010 16:47

Oh gosh Cupcake sorry for knockin 10wks off your preg! 26 weeks! So sorry!

OMG - yet more snow outside!

4everhopeful · 10/02/2010 16:44

Hey girls - quick(ish)one from me!

Barbie glad to hear you sounding so calm & rational about things, I think you are being really brave! Looks like I was wrong about LO appearing by end of this week then! Glad hospital went well today even though you still have a bit of time to wait.. BTW with regards to packing a 'coming home oufit' for you in your bag, remember you wont just ping syraight back so mat clothes may still be needed, not your skinny jeans & a boob tube!

Talking of mat clothes, Im just so shocked at you LBM and Cupcake only just venturing into them! Maybe where I was scared to buy baby stuff I made up for it with mat clothes! I have 2 mat leggings & 2 big size leggings & tracksuit bottoms and 2 big size PJ bottoms, a dress, and about 8 tops already! Retail therapy eh! BTW, watched & loved & cried throughout the maternity ward programme! Congrats at 16wks cupcake! That would make LBM at 25wks, and me at the officially 'viable' stage of 24wks on fri! PHEW!

MLS did you and Dh enjoy it too?

Mrskate glad you are already on the case with Millie & Boris range!

Iggy I already text you but virtually holding your hand at 6pm. I think it was after our 16wk scan where we decided it was ok to go into Mamas and Papas for the first time 'just to look'!

Monkey I backtracked to fond out when your apt was, and will be virtually holding your hand for scan tomorrow too..

Vjay you did make me at image of your wonky boobs and the safety pin trick!

Neeko glad your work and family stresses are resolving themselves, having been in same boat of late I can so relate! Having family drama just leaves a bad taste in the mouth doesnt it? As for work, Im still wobbly about the redundancy after being in a fantastic company for 14 yrs since I was 21, & not having the security of being 'employed'. I brought my house 9yrs ago on my own, but the mortgage is still sizeable, I added DH to it after we wed, but the main bills come out of my money, tho we pretty much earn the same, he pays all the living costs. With redundancy if I can make it last 2yrs (like a monthly wage) it will work out we are 500quid a month worse off, but we will manage, we will have too! Will be a panic when it runs out & I have to find a job again though! At least I get some quality time to be with baby!

Blue bless you for understanding how brave I feel to have got baby clothes surrounding me as I type in our what will be baby/PC room! Glad the bottle is working and you felt buoyed up sharing with your friend!

Good to see you briefly BQ - heres some babydust coming at ya!

Buddha cant believe your mat will be up when my LO makes an appearance! Time does travel fast! You made me when you said about your DH getting his licence too, but being a bit of a control freak at the idea of him driving you! Me too! It was mainly cos of the idea that when I go into labour he wants to do his bit and get me there! Hence driving lessons for xmas, and his theory test is booked tomorrow! His lesson went well & teh instructor said if he passes his theory tomorrow then out in for his test straight away! Also after our scare & dash to the delivery suite a few weeks ago, we had to get a cab, so I know he just wants to be the protective DH bless him, he will still cycle to work though!

Oh yes, Barbie Im the designated driver! I have a golf, and its been leaking water, it went to the garage today, was told drainage pipes from sunroof prob just needed unblocking, about 40quid, turns out it will take 3hrs of labour so will actually be more like 120quid! Spent money like water (unintentional pun) this week what with DH birthday, valentines, moses to pay for & a new PC cupboard to tidy all bits away in babys room! Gotta budget these next few months & pay off my last credit card before mat leave/redundancy!

Anyway DH home now, better go, keep getting all breathless & sooooo tired. Also have pain in possibly liver? Prob just everything getting squashed, as you all saw, Im VERY big already! However my thrush returned 2wks after getting rid with canestan, so may pop to GP tomorrow..

Big waves to everyone else x x x x x

BuddhaBelly · 10/02/2010 15:19

Barbie I couldn't believe it when I logged on to see your scary news, I can't really say anything that hasn't already been said, but I hope you have taken comfort from the wise words on here. You sound very positive in todays post so I hope you are keeping on top of things. I am thinking of you lots, and willing your little boy (remember you told me mine was blue as it was causing me so much trouble ) to make an early arrival so you have lots of time with your family
Iggy I am sure all will go well today, look forward to an update later
MLS Did your DH enjoy the channel 4 programme last night?
VJay Very of your long sleep last night!
Neeko You lucky thing, fantastic news about your hours and return to work. I'm dreading end of June already when I go back
Annie Sorry to hear that your ds is not a good sleeper There is nothing worse than lack of sleep, but I bet when he smiles at you your heart still melts x
4ever My DH is learning to drive too, I will be so glad to stop being his personal taxi but as I'm a bit of a control freak the idea of him driving me around scares the pants off me!
Gracie Fantastic news that you and dd are home
Curly Hope you get to go home too, hugs
LBM A bit of retail therapy never hurt anybody
Blue Glad to hear that B is taking the bottle well, at least it gives you a little break
Cupcake 26 weeks

Well last few nghts we've been trying to establish a routine so been putting ds upstairs to sleep rather than letting him fall asleep with us downstairs. DH has decided its his job to read him a story so they are currently working their way through the Peter Rabbit stories, I listen on the monitor, so cute Next step is cot in his own room, very scary!

MrsKate · 10/02/2010 14:55

barbie1 · 10/02/2010 13:57

Oh damn iggy 6pm my time is bed time here! I will have to get up extra early tomorrow morning and check in on you....or if dh stays up to watch the football tonight i might be persauded to join him...all in the name of mn

Just back from my appt, doctor seems to think i still have at least two more weeks....boo! I asked for an internal to check my cm as i have had loads of watery stuff and like 4ever was worried about leaking fluid While she was ahem....up there she checked my cervix and nothing is happening hence the extra wait. She did say that she might call me back for a growth scan as she has been thinking about the date situation. Oh and ill have to stay in hospital an extra day after birth due to needed blood thinning injections to take the pressure off my heart....apart from that and a nice hippo plaster with hearts on after the blood test, nothing else to report.

vjay yeah for being my online health visitors i bet i have loads of silly questions never even thought about alternate boobs...lol at one being bigger than then other! And cupcake no there is nothing in place here at all...its all private and one on one (so if you have the cash its ok ) sadly all the extra isnt covered by insurance and its all so mega expensive.
My mum and family will be here for one week from the 26th...its a bit hit and miss with dates after todays appt, but if all goes well the lastest will be the 28th and at least ill have the baby by then, sadly it will mean spending most of my familes visit in hospital...but thats another worry for another day!

Well im off to start dinner, something extra spicy to try to get things moving.....

VJay · 10/02/2010 13:05

iggy here's my hand to hold, but I know everything will be fine

cupcake I'm always forgetting which boob I've last used, my sister used to put a safety pin on her bra strap after each feed. At night time I put him down in his bed with his head facing the same direction my boob was, if that makes sense, then I just turn him round after the next feed, the poor lad was quite dizzy in the early days , I also used to call them number 1 and number 2, cos I'm hopeless with my lefts and rights .

cupcakefairy · 10/02/2010 12:57

Vjay what a star is Ajay sleeping that long!! but LOL about the boobs. I was randomly wondering the other day how you know which boob to put them on and when to switch to the other one oh the things I have yet to learn!!

iggy I should be able to get online and report back if you text

I've just been happily adding to my list of 'to buy' and it is getting rather long...

My Mum said they only bought nappies for my sister before she was born, and were given everything else after she was born

Right, lunch.

iggypiggy · 10/02/2010 12:27

barbie you sound v. calm - thanks for thinking of me when you have all your own worries. Am ok - just very nervous... had a nightmare last night - which am sure is related to feeling worried. (although actual subject of nightmare was random - plane crash)

4ever thanks to you too and for the offer of a hand. The scan isn't until 6pm again - as this is the only time my DH can make... long day of waitng ahead.. Is lovely that you been getting some stuff - we have decided that if scan is ok we will go to John Lewis on the way back - just to look...

cupcake also thanks to you - I really hope it was the baby that I felt and not just random gurglings! Good news about the maternity wear I think you should go shopping!

Hope you all ok - I am v. jittery... and quite distracted at work today. Will text news later as won't get on here for a while.

xx

VJay · 10/02/2010 12:27

cupcake 6 months pg , where has the time gone? Ajay slept from half seven through to seven this morning and my (.)(.) where soooo sore and full, as soon as he woke up I whipped him out of his cot and got him latched on, so spent all morning with one small boob and one full , oh so glamorous

barbie I can't believe you don't get the support we get over here, your mum will be over to begin with won't she? And remember we will all be here to help too, we can be your surrogate health visitors .

Off to the everest of ironing

cupcakefairy · 10/02/2010 11:45

Hi lovelies.
Iggy thinking of you on scan day and I reckon that's definitely your lo stretching out...it does just feel like tiny tickly bubbles at first. Yay!

MLS sorry about your dh's comments but if it's any consolation I think they're all like that, and like barbie said, trying to protect us. Mine didn't start actually talking about the pregnancy until I was showing and it became more real for him. Loving the sound of your fab acupuncturist though

Neeko yay to mat leave looming and your pay thing working out I reeeally want to go swimming too but need to actually buy a cossie that will cover my growing bum fit first! Don't want a barbie4bums situation Yes I do feel quite busy at the moment but we're hoping to make a decision on house this weekend and then relax a little/actually reacquaint ourselves with our friends. Going for a second viewing at one we saw v early on on Friday so I think it might be the one.

barbie sooo so sorry to hear about the heart thing, as if you needed extra worry but you are sounding mega calm about it. Do they not have breastfeeding clinics etc where you are then?

Vjay sorry to hear about your rough nights but hope it's just a one off! Can't believe Ajay is in a big boy cot already! Our boy's growing up so fast!!

4ever My back is still ok actually, touchwood. Still the odd twinge but slept through the night for the first time in ages yesterday which I was very chuffed with! well done on baby purchases!

LBM so sorry my little Titch worried you with the amount of movement I'm reporting!! I'm convinced it must be a boy with all the kicking (and the fact you and 4ever are having pink ones but I know that doesn't really mean anything!)
I'm also in the maternity shirt dress my MIL bought me after the 12wk scan for the first time today...quite enjoying it, but I definitely need to buy more long tops as my choice is getting narrower by the day! Tips anyone?

Blue so glad B is guzzling the bottle but bless you still not getting much of a break! Glad you have a friend to share woes with. I have a good friend due the same day as me and she has a toddler too so hopefully we can cry on each others shoulders when we're shattered!

Nice to see you briefly BQ

Curly if you're lurking...sorry to hear you're still in hospital but hope you're being well looked after and getting to grips with feeding. We miss you.

I'm 26 weeks today... someone on my an thread said they know somebody who gave birth recently at 29 weeks which totally freaks me out
Oh I didn't watch the maternity show in the end, I went out to a writing group which was cool... maybe next week. I have borrowed season 1 of Grey's though blue and neeko now just need to find some time to watch it...

barbie1 · 10/02/2010 07:26

couldn't get my head around.....

Oh and i really want mini eggs or a creme egg since reading about someone having one earlier in the thread, something else for my mum to pack!

barbie1 · 10/02/2010 07:22

awwww shucks...you girls are all sooooo lovely. How would i have coped during the last 18 months without you all

So today is a new day and im not going to worry about the heart thing, i have my 39 week checkup and going to put all my effort into getting this little baby into the world all safe and sound and then ill worry about me later....

Talking of worry i hope iggy is ok? I know how scared you are hunny about todays scan but like in my email to you its going to be fine and you can relax...until the next weeble moment!

monkey was it your scan as well today? or was it tomorrow sorry for not remembering....ive been focusing on me way too much i hope you are feeling better though and that after your scan you are well enough to update us and let us know what is going on.

mls my dh was the same when i told him i was pregnant this time....he just said 'dont get too excited, you know what happened last time' this threw me so much becuase usually he is the one who is always so positive and talks me into thinking things will be ok. I did ask him about it a few weeks ago, why he said those things....and he said it was to protect me as it killed him to see my hurting so much last time. Aww bless, i reckon your dh is very much the same....just wait until you get a few good scans under your belt, dh will turn into babyzilla and want the best for the lo and will be the one who keeps you upright in times of weebles! least it sounds you have made a break through re him wanting to watch the programme.
I watched the trailer by the way and it was enough to put me off....all the grunting, groaning and screaming i sat with my hands over my ears but did melt when you saw the tiny babies at the end....

neeko thankkyou for thinking about me yesterday, it means a lot. So nearly on mat leave eh? i hope that you have plenty of things to do and dont get too bored like i am right now....the swimming is good, i really should make the most of the pool 50 metres from my back door or the gym membership i have and go swimming more often, but like everything i just take it for granted
As from tomorrow though i will make an effort and its good for the heart too

bakingqueen thankyou also for popping on and writting me a message i really do hope that you get a bfp and that your dh lets you come on more often...

annie sorry to hear you dont feel like you are coping so well im sure you are doing a brilliant job but the tiredness you must be feeling is telling you otherwise! I cant offer any words of wisdom having never been there myself but i bet you will see a few post from me in the next few weeks feeling the same ...Loving all the photos you are posting by the way....so cute!

lbm your post about having a big heart made me thankyou. However i think we all must have the same problem then cos we are all soooooo supportive of each other, this has to be the best thread on mn!
I hope you find some nice mat wear, ive been lucky and managed to just buy bigger sizing...although i couldnt of lived without my mat leggings and a few odd bits bought in the sale in topshop and new look. Although i have to say im really looking forward to wearing my skinny clothes again, it will be nice to have more than 5 things to choose from!

blue and vjay im reading all of your feeding post with interest.....its nice to know that not everyone can feed perfectly for the whole 6 months and to hear what you are doing to get around things, i know who to come looking for if i get any problems in the boobie area
We dont get midwives or health vistors coming to check on us after the birth, so i have to try to make sure i get it right within the first 24 while in hospital where they will have someone to help me, failing that it means making an appointment with the doctor and physcially going out to find the help yourself. I hope both of your gorgeous boys are well.

gg still smiling at the fact that you bothered to text me from hospital to say ill be ok, it means a lot. Hope you and the lo are ok and will be home soon...

curly oh dear still in hospital??? Still at least you are both being looked after and i bet your bed is surrounded by balloons, cards and grapes! I wish you both a speedy recovery and look forward to hearing from you soon

4ever clapping my hands for you...you brave girlie buying things for the lo it feels great doesnt it? I bet by the time she arrives there will be nothing for anyone else to buy her cause mummy has already spoilt her rotten! I was like you, didnt have any big items in the house until last minute, but bravo for buying it and storing it at your mums. It will soon be time to bring it all to your house.
Hope dh driving lesson went well? Do you drive?

mrskate glad boris is ok, not long til you can leave the hetic ward and put your feet up!

cupcake so did you watch the programme??? Any more news on the house hunting, for some reason i too am really excited about you moving house!

jools i hope you are taking it easy and that your cold has finally gone, still thinking about you and you friend. life really does suck some times eh?

mermaid ah my lovely...thankyou again for your posting to me yesterday, its funny how im more concerned about you and this bloody golfer not getting back to you while you are stomping around concerned about me! Do we need to get the barbiemobile out? Let me know and ill rev up the engine

Hello to sabs hoping buddha and Mm* hope you ladies are all ok?

Right, im just packing the last of my normal clothes into my hospital bag so i have something to come home in...i had forgotten until just now

Im off back to hospital at 3.30 my time, 11.30 your time but will be checking for updates from the scan ladies today....

Oh and one thing, yesterday while waiting for forever for the consultant i sat opposite a lady with a 7 day old baby....i couldnt stop staring at its hands! for some reason they seemed massive (they were prefect, and normal size) i could quite get my head around that i have hands inside my belly it freaked me out!!!!

Love to you all (no time to check spelling or grammer so sorry if its taken a while to read!)

xxx

bakingqueen · 09/02/2010 22:10

Just a quick post sorry not able to post to all but Barbie just to let you know am thinking of you and your dh at this time. Think like the others have said its a good sign that they are letting you wait a month before re seeing you. If there was an imminant problem you would have been rushed in there and then hope your ok though and can try and enjoy the last part of your pregnancy- it will all be worth it when your beautiful baby is here x x

MummyLovesSadie · 09/02/2010 20:51

Gosh what a day on the thread. Sorry you've had such a scare Barbie, hopefully it's not as bad as it initially sounded. It's something you just don't want hanging over your head though isn't it. You want to look forward to your new life with your lo without the worry of an impending op blotting the horizon.

Blue what kind of pump do you have? My boobs produced such a piddly amount of milk but I found an electric pump was much more effective than a manual one.

LBM Can't believe you are only just in maternity clothes. Mine are calling me from
my wardrobe (where they have been for exactly one year now) & I don't know how long I can resist.

Neeko It looks like your prayers have been answered with your work situation. I'm so happy for you, really I am. You'll have so much more time with dd & you won't lose out in the money department either - result!

Oh God.... shock newsflash...... dh has just asked me if I want to watch that thing on tv at 9 tonight about the maternity ward!!! What's got into him??!

Will try & be back later.

VJay · 09/02/2010 20:33

Hi blue get yourself off to bed if you can, and you are right, this stage doesn't last forever. Glad Ben takes a bottle, Ajay completely refuses it now. I'm like you with the formula too, I bought 1 carton of SMA for 'just in case', and there have been a few times I've gotten it out ready to pour into a bottle, but didn't, it's still there, don't know why probably just stubborn too

bluesatinsash · 09/02/2010 20:25

oh barbie - just read over todays posts and at your news but relieved to hear its common and key hole surgery an option. Sending you a huge big hug and hairstrokes xx

neeko - that sounds tefrrific working 3 days but getting paid for 5!! Glad the swimming is easing your SPD, not long before you can go every morning whilst your DD is at nursery

4ever - your DH sounds very fit . Glad you are getting reassurance on your other thread. Lovely to read about your baby purchases, know how brave you are buying things but you ARE allowed to enjoy planning and buying things honey, keeping them at your Mums is a good compromise for your sanity.

The bottle is going well as in Ben gulps it down but I'm not producing enough milk when I express as don't have enough hours in the day to devote to it so he is still getting passed to me but at least we know he will take a bottle. Not considering formula just now, I'm a bit stubborn that way - just hoping as his tummy grows he will go longer between feeds and I can get some sleep . I was at my friends this afternoon and feel bouyed up sharing my tiredness stories with her and how "this too shall pass"

MLS - I'm thinking a boy too! Sorry to hear your DH is being unsupportive, really hope its a defense mechanism on his part...

Vjay - well done Ajay for being in his big boy cot - gold star!

mermaid - good thinking re: letters going astray giving you time to think what your PLAN will be x

Hope curly and gracie are both doing well and staring at their DDs.

Sorry for lack of more personals, too tired.

Love to all xx

V quick message for barbie Hug from me too - what a time to discover this. But your DH sounds very lovely and supportive and seems to be sensible about it. I think the problem is that you have such a big heart as you are always so lovely to everyone and this must be the problem.Take care of yourself and focus on Barbieboy

Thanks all for the comments about my quiet babybelle . She is much more active now and not scaring her mummy now - which is good for a third child. I think it's cupcakes fault I was getting worried - compared to the manic footballer she's carrying, mine seemed very quiet!

One confession today is that I have graduated to maternity trousers today - got a fab mothercare pair that alter to my fat stage and yet will stretch apparently - don't think they'd be any good if I was very big though. Might have to treat myself to a dress at the weekend though as I'd love to have something nice to wear occasionally

Back soon for more posting - hope you're home soon Curly

4everhopeful · 09/02/2010 18:03

x post Mermaid.. Okey dokey then, a girls gotta try! Carry on with the back pedaling, you've been through so much blummin s* you are completely entitled to deal with it any which way you fancy, cos you are an incredibly brave special lady to still be standing upright & able to mount a bike at all, whichever way you want to pedal it! Lotsa love to you xxxxx

VJay · 09/02/2010 17:59

Just a quick post as Ajay is squawking, barbie thinking of you brave lady

4everhopeful · 09/02/2010 17:55

Big hugs again to you Barbie I had a word with the man upstairs! xxxxx

Mermaid Im glad to see you checking in on your greenhouse! I think I spotted your golfer way yonder in the distance! Shouting distance anyway! Just slap me if I get annoying!

Neeko glad to see posting resuming for you too, hope the sparkle is soon back in your step, only 6 days to mat leave will undoubtedly help that! Swimming also a great relaxant.. Nice to 'see' you on the 2 vessel cord thread! Will be nice to share my experiences with the other girl going through it, though head in sand approach is my main method right now!
Oh yea, and the PJs were La Senza bottoms (in sale!) and Morgan top! Its all mix & match when you've been pretty much living in them as I have! Back to work for me on Monday half days & day off for DH birthday on Thurs to ease me in slowly!

Cupcake I must admit Im really excited about that prog 'One born every minute' I think I'll be quite pragmatic about any horror stories but DH & I are actually quite looking forward to seeing it! Hope all ok with you? Hows the back now? Sure once you have found your new place it will ease a little as stress doesnt help bad backs in the slightest!

LBM has LO been making amends for being quiet? I had same panic yesterday, the odd mild flutter & no acrobatics since sun morning, but she made up for it last night! I was awake from 4am-8am enjoying the somersault action & planning a million plans in my head, such as nursery ideas/mat leave-redundancy stuff/DH birthday!

MLS I wish we could all have a quiet word in your DHs ear! Ill just have to go with the others & presume its his coping mechanism, when yout little boy (fab acupuncurist!) puts in his appearance bet your DH will be blubbing like a baby & totally melt! For now, I agree, we LOVE hearing all about every detail & weeble you have.. xx

Iggy talking of weebles, I so know those pre scan jitters, my weeklys did help, but the morning & night before probably didnt! You will soon know for definate those flutters & that will help massively (until cheeky thing has a day of sleeping to worry you!). I was desperate to start feeling movement and you will very soon. My belly button is doing very strange things, half of it sticks out when Ive been out & dressed all day, then it goes back in! I got my acrylic belly bar too so more room for manouvre now! Anyway big squeezy hand hold for tomorrows scan.. What time is it so we can send postive thoughts to you? Tx us an update after wont you?

Monkey will also be holding your hand tightly for your scan too, is it tomorrow or Thursday? More prayers to him upstairs.. How are you holding up? Still a bit numb with strange reality flashes hotting you no doubt, its such a hard strange time.. Big hugs to you lovely lady xxxxx

Heard from our newest yummy mummys again today, Gracie has come home and says Hi to all! I told her we want piccies! Poor Curly still in hospital as baby Grace has jaundice & trouble feeding, she also sends love to all.. We are sending lovely thoughts their way too.. xxxxx

Sabs your Enders day sounds fab! Cant wait for the live episode! Hows the feeding going now?

Vjay sorry to hear about your rough night, hopefully you got 40 winks in this afternoon?

Blue hows the bottle & formula into going? Am also hoping you are catching 40 winks when you can..

Same to you Annie sorry you are having a rough time as well, this mummy baby lark is not easy is it? We go from one set of worries & anxieties straight to another, I agree, call on some in laws/friends if poss?

Buddha I cant believe E is 10 wks either!
Jools hows your poor friend doing? I agree, that useless feeling is hard, but food goes a long way, have really vivid memories of the few good meals we had in the week after my dad died provided by my friends, meant alot, as basic functions like cooking are just so hard when your world has just stopped..

Mrskate not long til your mat leave now surely? DH was horrorfied to hear you are doing nights in A&E 'in your condition'! Can tell Im wrapped head to toe in cotton wool still! The drip pump episode must of frightened you to bits, so glad all is well with Boris! BTW in Mamas and Papas they have a range called 'Mille & Boris' and I always think of you!

Moon chucking lots and lots of babydust at you as you commence the 2ww!

DH is off on his 1st driving lesson! He can drive, just never got his licence, as bless him, he cycles to work (& has gorgeous fit legs to show for it! ). Ive been having the odd weeble moment, then mammothly over compensating by planning the nursery and various other things as both DH and I birthdays coming up! Aiming to keep myself as busy as poss til next scan 2wks today. My sis fibally went home today after a month with my mum she is a bit lost now the kids both at Uni! Her poor DH was abandoned! Mum & her brought some gorgeous baby outfits from M&S which we bravely brought home and are now hanging off varoius handles and knobs in what will be the babys room! I brought a cute cuddly Piglet yesterday too! Told you I was over compensating! Also, spoke to Mamas & Papas who said they cant 'hold' our moses basket til May as stock room not big enough so have to pick up by end of Feb! Hurumph! We are gonna get in on Fri and take to my mums, we're not quite that brave yet! However got my mum to be Bounty pack with 1 newborn nappy in so that initiated another list of all things we will need & have agreed after next scan in 2wks, if all ok, we will start picking up a couple of bits (nappies/wipes etc) here & there in weekly shop.. ahh 4ever hello I would go direct to my golfer but he is a lofty high faluting personage - ie crap - I am sort of reasoning that by the time letters pass back and forward, get lost, recycled and sent back again that I may have untangled my thoughts and intentions.
so yep I'm basically backpedaling!

barbie a very sparkly star for you and one for dh for both being so brave and calm.

I am sure that if for one minute they thought there was a bigger problem they would be shouting c section at the top of their voices.

I have been stomping around in the freezing cold thinking of you today. Your pregnancy has been a non stop rollercoaster and I think you have coped with it all so well.

neeko hope everything is better with you too - to the extra time owed to you that is fab.

special hello and hugs to isabelle and curlygirl. Hope you are being very pink and gorgeous for your mums.x

Oh Barbie pretty lady.. It does all sound very promising and the fact they are happy to wait a month before your next apt is a definate positive, however, I know it must be as scary as hell for you to be going through when you just want to be focusing on this special time of imminent mummyhood! Holes in the heart are apparently very common (as the 1 in 4 stats show!), alot of babies have them in the womb and close on their own, some dont, and are rarely detected or cause for major concern, sounds like you fall into that bracket.. My old bf son was born with a hole in the heart & had open heart surgery as an 18m baby & he is now a strapping 15 yr old.. The fact its keyhole surgery is also promising.. Of course the birth will worry you, but the fact they are happy to not go for a c sect is a good thing, they absolutely would not put you or baby at any risk so theres another positive.. I do so feel for you hon, and so glad your DH sounds like such a wonderful supportive rock, just what you need right now.. I echo the others, one step at a time, deep breaths, lots of sleep, focus on baby & try not to let this rob you of a precious time in your life, when you have achieved so much to get to this stage of your special little one about to be born.. Big hugs, hairstrokes, chocolate and calming positive thoughts, Ill say a little prayer that you find the mental strength to cope with all this, physcically you will be just fine.. Lots of love to you sweet pea xxxxx
