lo lovely ladies!
We had a lovely time in Edinburgh - went to the castle, museum, gallery, mus of childhood ( twice!), Britania, the park that MLS mentioned and swimming every day as the apartment had a pool. Had lunches out everyday and didn't spend a fortune - all in all a lovely break. The kids loved going on the sleeper train but , cosy as it was, we got little sleep!
Also went with another family , so didn't need to cook everynight or wash up at all - bliss in my mind! However I came back with a stinky cold and felt rotten all weekend - there is nothing worse than being pregnant and having a cold. Normally my remedy of choice is lots of hot toddys or lemsip if I'm really desperate - obviously they are off the agenda and lemon and honey isn't the same without the brandy! However sadly I felt well enough to go to work today.
Final me bit - I have my first antenatal refresher class tomorrow which is a bit but finally I am starting to look pregnant not just plain fat, which is a relief.
And now, to everyone else - barbie - more congrats, hope you are enjoying every early cuddle, they are really special and nothing beats them.
Cupcake and neeko - re breast pumps - I have had both an electric and also a manual. To be honest, they were much of a muchness - the electric was a bit more aggressive but certainly didn;t get more milk out than the manual. This time I think I'll contact the NCT and see if I can hire one of their industrial ones, if I decide I need one - might be worth looking in your area to see if the have any near you?
Iggy How much mat leave is really up to you and when you start. My choice was dictated by money and also by wanting to have as much time off after the baby arrived and so for my first 2, I worked to 37 weeks and then went back when they were both about 5 months old. This time, I'm doing around the same. I would love to have finished earlier, especially as DS arrived 2 days after I finished work ()and also as I@m so much more tired but finance/ circumstance ditates otherwise.
4ever Fingers crossed for tomorrow - enjoy seeing your little girl again. Mine has been a wriggly one again today - I'm hoping she will wriggle at the right time for DD to feel the wriggle , she is so excited about it. She said the other day that she hopes the baby comes soon - I'd been lying on the seette at bed time and I think she wants her mummy back who takes her to bed and has a little chat with her!
Hello to all the poor knackered yummy mummies - vjay, blue and annie - I think the pregnancy tiredness is just training for the baby tiredness which is a whole new level!
Anyway, got to go - DH has just spent all evening trying to put DS's new bike together and has managed it. But the learning here is to go secodn hand everytime as you don't need to worry about construction!
MLS good luck for Wednesday - all the signs sound good, espcially your lovely accupuncture lady
Hi to everyone else - will be back for more personals tomorrow
