thats my worry bebe, it wouldnt be the end of the world but im not sure im quite ready, plus falling pregnant now would mean i would have to have baby in the town we currently live in and im less than convinced that their homebirth policies will be great, need to look into it.

amanda do not worry about birth, there is this thing amongs some women to compete over who had the worst labour. its hard work but your body wil get on and do it and you will be fine, i really recomend looking into hypnobirthing if you havent already, google mary mongan or look for the book on amazon, there are courses which are brilliant but the book explains the theory behind it really well

AC - Don't panic, It is the minority that have to TTC for over 12months. I'm sure a positive mental attitude to it all can help.

Re tenants, council have deemed property uninhabitable (due to damage done by tenants) and are saying the tenants have requested councils help with emergency rehousing for which we are liable for the costs of such! Really not sure where we stand as they had given notice already before this happened. We have now passed it all on to our solicitor. I'm just going to try & not get involved! New tenant wants to move in as he is going to do the work on property that was needed but is now a bit surprised (as are we) at the amount that needs doing due to all the damage! Nightmare!

Ok, so enough of me boring you all!

Matumble - I'm always convinced that if we TTC early just incase it takes forever I will end up PG straight away & not be ready for it!!

hi again all, sorry things have been pretty hectic lately, sorry i havent been on.

bebe that sounds like a nightmare, i hope things settle down for you

Amanda dont panic, that never helps, just dont think about it!

Im still struggling in my own little world to hold off TTC so tempted to just see what happens! must hold strong

AmandaCooper · 30/03/2010 20:02

You have to rehouse them? Do they mean let them move back in? I thought it was the tenants who decided they wanted to move out in the first place? So what happens now? Will you have to go to court to get them out? What about your new tenant? Nightmare!

Strayed off the straight and narrow path this morning and read one of the other Conception threads (I know, I know) it was a BFP announcement from someone who had been TTC since December 08. So lovely to read someone's good news - even if it was another horror story about TTC for months and months!

I will not panic.

I will not panic.

bebejones · 30/03/2010 09:53

AC - It's very very long winded to explain, but in a nutshell they have completely trashed the place which is going to cost thousands to repair & have complained to enviromental health who are now saying we have to rehouse them even though they gave us notice they were leaving. The state of the place is their fault!!

Don't want to drag you all down so won't bore you all with it!

I was sort of half heartedly charting anyway just for 'something to do'. But keeping track of things when I start medication is going to really help plus also it's good preparation! Have to start drugs asap, not sure when, but will be stopping at the end of Sept so can TTC end Dec.

AmandaCooper · 30/03/2010 08:34

What have they done? I have to say being a landlord doesn't seem to be all it's cracked up to be. My friend's always having problems with her tenants not looking after the place and causing neighbours to complain. Then again, as a tenant I'm not entirely thrilled with my landlord (has refused for two years to replace three broken wall heaters, hence the flat is freezing).

I didn't realise the charting was to do with your treatment, sorry. So do you know now when it will all start? I'm sorry you've got all this hanging over you when all you really want is a baby. Don't forget you can vent on here as much as you want/need to x

bebejones · 29/03/2010 19:18

Have had a letter from hospital saying I need to start medication now! Was really hoping I was going to get away with it!

AC - I'm just keeping track of cycle atm. It is going to be essential now with medication as one of it's known side effects is irregular periods which they like you to be aware of.

Having a really crap day again, got another cold & our current tenants are trying to pull a fast one & I am literally shaking with rage. Just had a anxiety attack & feel like crap.

Bebe for some reason that last message of yours didn't display for me until just now. Sorry to hear that your weekend wasn't much fun. Hopefully Easter weekend will be better. Are you going to start charting now for December, or are you thinking you might bring it forward now? Don't you think it might make you feel like you've been TTC forever once you finally get down to it? I'm trying to enjoy the freedom of not TTC while it lasts.

AmandaCooper · 28/03/2010 13:05

Oh hang on it's two hyphens... like this

AmandaCooper · 28/03/2010 13:03

No apparently not! Does anyone know?!

AmandaCooper · 28/03/2010 12:59

Do you have to put the '-' signs round every word -like- -this- rather than before and after a whole phrase -like this-?

bebejones · 28/03/2010 11:42

Ginger - you need to -- either side of each word! I miss being able to drink too. Plus DH doesn't drive so if we do go out I'm always the sober one! Most of my really good girly friends live a long way away so never get to have time out! Feel old before my time! I keep dithering about whether or not to get some of those cheap OV predictor sticks off ebay. Just feel that it might be a bit obsesive of me at this stage! But am very tempted!!

Having a rubbish weekend. Didn't go out yesterday as DH wanted to go to flat with his dad and the current tenants have trashed the place! Plus DD is a bit Cabin feverish from being home all week & is pushing boundaries (She is 19months & already starting to show signs of 'terrible twos') it is exhausting!!

gingerbaby · 28/03/2010 11:14

I can never get the strike out to work. Oh well!

gingerbaby · 28/03/2010 11:13

Hi all! I've taken advice and haven't read the conception forum for a day or so. I did however look on Ebay for how much fertility monitors cost

I've got to the point now where I'm desperate for a night out away from DS and DH, just to get pissed with my friends so I'm beginning to get nervous of TTC again. It'll just mean another year and a half of sobriety! I'm not a raging alcoholic or anything but I would like to feel young and irresponsible just once! Maybe I'll just go to town with the sherry at Christmas when there will be babysitters on tap.

iwantanother1 · 27/03/2010 21:43

what ever you do dont watch fims about childbirth they are so scarey the real thing isnt as bad belive me my dd2 was 10lb 6oz i had a natral birth with gas and air and i came out in 1 piece

AmandaCooper · 27/03/2010 20:59

Well I just woke up after a whole day sleeping, after a night out boozing so I guess I've done my quota of "things I won't be able to do once baby comes" this month! Got to make these last months before motherhood (hopefully) count for something. Am planning a day at Alton Towers to ride all their stupidest white knuckle rides this summer - another TIWBATDOBC!

It doesn't matter how much people seek to reassure you about childbirth, it's still the most terrifying thing. But if I don't face it, DH and I will never have a wonderful little DC in our lives. I've watched so many videos (field research don't you know) and read so many accounts and I just can't get my head round it. I read something which compared the pain to the pain of losing a limb on a medieval battlefield!

silvertulip · 27/03/2010 13:55

Amanda, mine is a little anxious too! I think it's mainly because I seem to have come round to the idea quite suddenly, so have slightly thrown him off base... but I think he is getting his head round it.

I am pretty terrified of childbirth as well - I think my DH would be quite fascinated by the whole thing though!! He's not as squeamish as I am...

bebejones · 27/03/2010 10:45

Welcome aboard silvertulip!

AC - glad you had a good time! Don't think I could do that anymore. DD was awake at 6 & I am proper grumpy, I definately need my sleep!Glad your DH is back on the same wavelength!

I was terrified about childbirth & spent all of my pregnancy in complete denial that DD had to come out. When it came to it it was bad (I won't lie) but actually it wasn't as bad as I had thought it woulod be! TBH I was hot & huge & uncomfortable by my due date & DD was 9 days late & I was just relieved to not be pregnant anymore!! It is completely 100% true that once the baby is born you don't feel pain anymore & don't really notice anything else going on apart from your baby! Quite nice really!!

Iwantanother enjoy your fry up and F1!

AmandaCooper · 27/03/2010 10:06

Morning all! Well the club was great fun - although I was falling asleep on the sofa in the bar area by half two and dragged DH home at quarter past three. I'm so tired. We had a good chat about TTC this morning and it seems we are back on the same page. We were discussing the prospect of childbirth, which utterly petrifies us both. DH was stunned by my encyclopaedic knowledge of the subject!

Silvertulip of course, good to have another member of the club! You are very welcome. You sound like you're in a similar situation to me and my DH. Except perhaps with a slightly less anxious DH!

Bebe that's really good news. Isn't it easy to panic! I'm really pleased things could be back on track.

silvertulip · 26/03/2010 22:56

Hello! Can I join? My husband and I are starting to talk about TTC, but aren't in a financial position to do it quite yet. We're both 30, and have no children yet. Big decision but I'm starting to chafe at the bit! I'm really hoping that we'll start TTC before the end of this year. Will have to see how things pan out for a bit though...

bebejones · 26/03/2010 21:08

Yes, fingers crossed anyway! It's someone who is going to come work for my DH, and he is a builder so is going to do all the work needed on the property! Hoping it all works out! One more thing to cross off the TTC con list!

iwantanother1 · 26/03/2010 11:56

bebejones · 26/03/2010 08:58

Not got anything exciting planned at all. The new tennant is going to view the flat tomorrow morning & I need to go buy some new trousers! Oh the thrilling life I lead!!
