Looks like after posting on here - I am now going to be joining here properly. No offence but want a BFP one day so not too overjoyed.

Am going to the doctors later but still waiting for my DH to let me know the appointment time. At least it won't be too hard to sob the mood I am in today. Will give you my stats when the fat lady does sing. Have been looking at implantation bleeding on google but don't know why as I get this every single month before my period (sorry can't use the af thing it makes my skin crawl).

Sorry for the rant. Anyone got any vodka and cake? I can swap for some ice cream.

Icedlemonmuffin · 08/02/2010 13:21

Forgot to say just having my third lemon muffin and only on cycle day nine!

On course for a big arse and hopefully a big tum.

Icedlemonmuffin · 08/02/2010 13:16

I feel like getting a sign saying 'yes we deperately want more dcs , have for a long time but it's just not happening'.

It was so easy first time didn't really have to try, but this time it can sometimes be a real sruggle to get in the mood.

When I told Dh this he said if I keep to his plan (bd as much as possible) then he will make me a cup of tea and an iced lemon muffin for after!

LittleB · 08/02/2010 12:52

Hi, can I join, this will be our first month of ttc no 2, already have dd 4.9. I've been desperate to ttc for ages now but I had to have a slice of my cervix removed last year with abnormal cells - luckily pre-cancerous but it was a worrying time. Anyway my Dr said wait until Feb before TTC to give cervix plenty of time to recover, so here I am!
I came off the pill late in January, so no break before TTC, partly on Drs advice - hoping for that mysterious fertility boost some people experience after coming off the pill. Last time waited a month after coming off the pill before TTC and I remember having all sorts of starnge cramps and tender breasts etc due to hormones kicking in, so perhaps I will be super fertile this month - fingers crossed.
It also feels like a lucky month to us; dh's birthday was the 7th, mine is the 17th, valentines day 14th, and we've all got a day out on the 12th to enjoy ourselves (dd has inset day, dh using annual leave and I work part time.) Reckon the 12th might be our lucky day!
When not on the pill before I've had 26-29 day cycles, don't know if they'll carry on like that though.
I do feel really ready to TTC, have lost some weight, been on folic acid for about 7 weeks, and had swine flu jab!
Its a pain when others keep asking - I had a health visitor going on about how I should have another and it was cruel to dd not to, in a room full of people when dd was 18mths! Fortunately people mainly seem to have stopped asking now dd is at school. We have told close family and friends that we will be TTC soon. Didn't want it to be too much of a shock.
Sprinkles of baby dust over here please!
These are my stats

decafgirl I get this all the time as my dd is nearly seven and to make matters worse I'm the eldest of eight ( no we didn't have a telly ! ).

The most difficult time was just after mc someone (unamed family member) said I was mean for making my dd an only child.(angry)

Dh had to sit on me to stop me hurting them !

JetLi · 08/02/2010 10:11

Hi Ladybee - if I were you I would do the deed every day you see the EWCM to be on the safe side. From memory there is conflicting advice over the every-other-day thing for sperm levels. I got my basal body thermometer on ebay for a couple of quid - it's digital and reads to 2 decimal places.

Loopy - that website looks really good

hey ladies who temp, can anyone explain to me what the basics are? I'm vaguely contemplating it as another tool to work out when Ov has happened. I'm getting better at checking EWCM, although last cycle was odd as seemed to have much more for much longer so never felt completely sure whether ovulation had happened or was still to come.
Any tips?

decafgirl · 07/02/2010 22:16

Have just been having the same rant with DH, am sick of people saying (of my DS) "ooh, 2 and a half, you must be having another one soon eh?" or "you should be getting on with it!" Grrr...!!

I feel like this cycle is dragging, not even time for SWI yet & it's CD10!

QueenFee · 07/02/2010 22:09

whoever it was (can't remember sorry ) who said they are fed up with people saying "arn't you going to have any more* I totally agree. I get the opposite actually, "is that it then?" I feel like saying well no actually we stopped using protection a while ago and inted to cram babies into every corner of the house and are totally enjoying the shagfest thanks? Anything else you wan't to know? Why can't people mind their own business! (rant over )

Day 14 already Roll on Day 28 and POAS

grapenuts · 07/02/2010 21:17

Hello everyone. Could I also join? New to mumsnet but obsessive stalker on the October bus and now feel that actually joining the November bus might bring some good luck.

Now realise just how lucky I was to conceive DS and DD without much effort. I never understood until now what it feels like to have the disappointment of an unwanted AF. Very low today and that is only after 3 failed cycles. Trying (mostly unsuccessfully) to tell myself to get a grip and enjoy what I have.

Anyway enough whingeing..

my stats are
Grapenuts: TTC#3, Cycle 4, UCL 25, CD1

One quick question - I read that Evening Primrose Oil was good to improve CM. But what is the recommended dose? Some websites say 1500 mg to 3000mg but my Boots pack says to take 1x1000 mg per day. Want to get the benefits without some sort of critical overdose.

Thanks for any advice

mumofzac · 07/02/2010 21:04

Can I join the bus please. Jumped off the doomed October bus a few days ago. After days of coffee, wine and brie I feel ready to detox and jump aboard the Nov bus. If it works this month we will be ready for a fun Christmas. My stats are -

tea i feel your pain

dh has been working this weekend, actually had to go into office and didn't get home till gone 9 last night. I had crisis with sil and had to pop out to her house and so when I got back dh is comfortable in front of heroes ansd getting more and more horizontal by the minute.

Manage to wake him up and suggest we watch it upstairs but after a very uninterested few minutes of making the right noises, dh admits that he just can't do it.

I know, I know that IAMVU to be angry, he is only human, but all i could think abut was our every other day schedule and that was the day.

Bless him, he did say, "I'll leave my pants off for the morning shall I?" and to be fair he did rise to the challenge this morning before going to work again

We can't help it, we know they have a say too and they are human yes and sometimes can't just manage to service to order but It's hormones.

Hope you have a good evening tea

Icedlemonmuffin · 07/02/2010 20:21

Teafan really loved the lemon muffins from greggs but then they changed the recipe!

Dh laughed at me when I said I was going to stage a protest outside the shop (can get a little stroppy when red tide of doom is on way) .

Dh got me some lovely lemon muffins with lemon curd inside from Tesco so forgave him( he still looks a bit worried whenever we are near a greggs because I launch in to my rant about changing the recipe and nearly ruining my life ! )

TeaFan · 07/02/2010 20:06

Icedlemonmuffin fully caffeinated coffee, lots of it, unlimited quantities and chocolate muffins, the ones with the chocolate goo in the middle from greggs.

TeaFan · 07/02/2010 20:03

DP insisted on getting in the bath before we SWI and he has got the water so hot it's turning him red! He claims the hot bath killing sperm thing is a load of rubbish... I have just been up and read him this.

His answer was 'when I get out i'll stand outside for ten minutes to cool them down, then will you be happy?' I had to laugh and pretend I thought he was funny cos I don't want to spoil my chances for later but inside i'm fuming, he'll probably be having a sneaky cigarette while he's out there too...AIBU?

Icedlemonmuffin · 07/02/2010 19:29

Sorry about name change dh said it suited me better than momtoboo as when 'the red tide of doom' (af sounds too nice) arrives I console myself with quite a few. Just wondered what everyone else consoles themselves with?

Thanks for sorting the stats Maclaren

Gregory I would go insane if I didn't have easy access to tests galore, how do your cope?!?!? Hope they are lucky for you tho!

Well I am on CD12, EWCM today and due to OV between now and Wednesday so need to jump DP... however, he's just informed me that he is going to have a 'long hot soak' later which means not only will be boil his swimmers but he will be all relaxed and sleepy and i'll probably be aslepp myself by the time he gets out! Aarrgghhhhh! I am away with work tomorrow night too which means this could be my only chance

Yay maclaren. My head would have exploded if I tried that.

Am now on 2ww. I promise not to symptom spot for at least a week. And I can't test til my mum gets out to us on 16th with my Boots order. Can't get First Response in Bahrain and they are my "lucky" tests.

Am very happy to ooh and aah over someone else's imaginary symptoms though.
