Hi to all
Good Luck to Debbsy and Shelly for testing at the end of week.
MM - Sorry that you are feeling low, but i'm sure that it will happen for. You sound very similar to how i feel. I'm so blessed to have my DD. I really want to give her a sibling but i think if its meant to be it will happen. I was given the chance to have either eggs or embryos frozen b4 my treatment but decided against it. This was just a personnal choice for me for various reasons(and i don't regret it). I think that you need to have a really good vent and throw a few things around and in a few days you might feel a bit more positive again. I'm sure it will happen for us all. It's just a question of when.

We will use the frosties to concieve another child but if that doesn't work then I am not sure I could go through the whole thing from the start. If we do have another child through assisted conception then that would be it. Deffo wouldn't do it for a 3rd.

milosmum · 25/07/2005 19:21

well successful - i truely hope the Frosties work for you!- will your 2nd be the last or are you lokking at a lrg family?

Its not that im against the whole thing- the opposite infact, if it gives people the babies they so truley want then how can that be wrong?- i just could nt go through all that myself. i have enough heartache with the 2ww then the BFN, so i have nothing but praise for anyone willing to do it as it must be even worse.....

No after years of trying (Aug 99 off pill, Dec 03 DS born) we were refered and after and emotional, physical and financial journey we are lucky enough to have DS. I had ICSI & IVF as a mixture so not sure what he is the result of. It was our first attempt and I am grateful for that. Have been trying naturally since June 04 just incase it happened naturally, as we are sub-fertile (they don't know why) which is why we are now going to try the frosties in the Assisted Conception Unit freezer.

milosmum · 25/07/2005 19:12

did you concieve Ds natrually?

OP posts:
successful · 25/07/2005 19:10

No worries - it's all paid for now so if I am not pg on next period then the process for the frosties will start.

If I had concieved naturally I don't think I would consider assisted conception either. But that also doesn't mean I think it is wrong .

milosmum · 25/07/2005 19:07

narr- do i heck! just think its not right for me! as they say-each to there own- please dont take it as a slate to you - or anyone else it that possition- just would nt be right forme....sorry successful

OP posts:

I feel really bad now. Milosmum - do you think I shouldn't be doing IVF again as I already have a DS?

shelly24 · 25/07/2005 18:54

No,no i understand milosmum, you gotta do what you feels right inside,i just wanted you to know it does happen...its hard to practise wot i preach,as i'm abit of a control freak too!!
Lots of love and hugs to you.x.x

milosmum · 25/07/2005 18:49

i know everyone keeps telling me to stop thinking about it and it will just happen- but im a control freak and i know i could nt do that yet- im just not ready to "let go" just yet....

Debs- do you mean the IVF thing? i dont feel its that thoughtful (altough very nice of you to say so )- just think i have no right "clogging" up the NHS when there are people with no kids and despratly want just one. i have that luxury- and i really do think it is a luxury- there are too many people who have kids for the sake or because they "just didn t think".......(sorry- rant over!)

Debbsy-i'm cd 22...AAAAARGH! its horrible all this blooming waiting!!! I've never wanted it to be the end of the month so bad b4!!
Wow!we are close together huh!!(think BFP,think BFP! )

shelly24 · 25/07/2005 18:40

Oh milosmum, what can i say? I know what its like to loose a pregnancy, and how you long so much to be preg again.
My sister was desperate to be preg again after her mc,like me at the mo,she thought of nothing else, and every month she hated it when her AF arrived...she had been trying for 3 years.
Then one day she said to me,'thats it! i'm gonna stop worrying about getting bloody pregnant again!I've got 2 lovely children,if i'm not meant to have 3 then so be it!'....2 months later she got a BFP!And 2 years on from that she now has 4 gorgeous children! 3 boys and a girl...shes my inspiration!
It could happen for you too perhaps!?(don't give up hope just yet.x)

Debbsy · 25/07/2005 18:37

mm ahhh yeah it could be mine was like that after mc what a kind and thoughtful person you are about the af thing there should be more people in the world like you.Shelly hooray ive got a testing buudy what cd are you? im only cd 23 going to leave it now till weds morning then be cd 25 when af sometimes appears and i will be 12 days past ov

charleepeters · 25/07/2005 18:36

shelly24 · 25/07/2005 18:30

Hiya girls
Am due to test at the end of the week, and its really nerve racking stuff huh!!?
Its my first month of ttc since i had a stillbirth,so i guess i shouldn't be so hard on myself,i just hope its good news!
I hope you get some good news debs if your leaving it for a day or so to test again.x
I'm going to leave testing till as late as possible,i'm hoping i'll be able to stick to that and wait, but i can't promise anything!
I'm looking out for any signs, but nothing out of the normal at the mo,only slight cramps on my right side now and then...hoping their 'good' cramps and not 'your AF's due soon' kinda cramps!!
Is anyone else testing at the wkend?

milosmum · 25/07/2005 18:26

had a discuss with the drs after mc in may- she said if no conception within the next year, then get back intouch- but dont want to go through all that. if i have nt concieved at all in the next year im leaving it. i have one beautiful son and if thats how its meant to be -then so be it.... dont want to go through an army of tests for them to say theres no reason why we cant concieve or i cant hold the baby full term.just could nt handle that....

Not up for ivf or any of that either. its not that against it -its just i have one child and i d feel really mean using up someones "go"- if that haven t got any...... im just a little tired of the whole business.

think its my cycle just re adjusting..... the blood is medium flow but rather brown - old blood-think my body is getting rid of it all

Debbsy · 25/07/2005 18:20

Hello -
eldestgirl, why are you leaving it so long to test? have you previously had early false negatives? even at 28 days?

charleepeters · 25/07/2005 16:57

milosmum · 25/07/2005 13:45

OP posts:
charleepeters · 25/07/2005 13:14

Oh handbag weve all been unluck so far this month hun, glad you enjoyed the weeding though, sorry Af had to try and ruin it.

eldestgirl · 25/07/2005 12:50

Hi everyone,
I'm in the waiting game too. CD28 today (cycle usually 32) but I know there is no point testing for another week as from past experience, it takes forever for anything to show up... I have bought ONE clear blue test and I am not unwrapping it til next week. Ugh. Got sore boobs, but that's nothing new.
Milosmum and Handbagaddiction, sorry for the arrival of AF. Fingers crossed Debbsy.
