Here we go, another new thread for us to fill with our highs and lows.

Lets start off with a good dusting of babydust, think all the rest we had has washed off in the rain

Hellkat - It must be so hard to try and quit, how long have you been a smoker?? we'll forgive you for today, but you really should gte back on the wagon tomorrow

Lunarsea - so sorry to hear of your thoughless gp, some people just haven't got a clue what the right thign to say is. I bet he thought he was being really clever too. I'd change, at a time like this you need support.

Hi Petunia - How are you doing?

Haven't heard anything abotu a shooting will check out bbc online and find out whats happening.

Feel really rough today, soooooooo tired and achy, could seriously go to sleep now and i had a normal sleep last night. Loads to do before bedtime though. Can't be arsed to cook and although i'd love to go out to eat i don't have the energy, so i think its a chinese takeaway for us (again) sure thats something else we're addicted to.
Plus have to get the washing done at the launderette because i won't have time over the weekend.
Just the thought of it all is exhausting.

oh bugger my last mindie's mum has just called she shoudl be here in 15 mins and theres a bomb scare in Birmignham, no trains running she's going to be ages.
aaarrrrrgggghhhh

sorry girls rant over

petunia · 22/07/2005 17:08

Poor you Lunarsea
How old is this GP?! He sounds ancient and shouldn't be saying these things. Is there any chance of you changing GPs if he makes you feel this way?

petunia · 22/07/2005 16:39

Afternoon all. Hope everyone's OK.
Just got back from work, had a shorter day today.
Hellkat- oh well, tomorrow's another day, will you try again tomorrow after chilling out tonight?

LunarSea · 22/07/2005 16:33

Bad day again today - had to go to GP for blood test results. Well after 5 weeks, they haven't come back! Said to call back in a week, but "they might have got lost, and it's too late now to redo them and get any meaningful results. But it doesn't matter as they probably wouldn't have shown anything anyway". So why bother doing them in the first place then?

I hate the way the b**y GP treats me as if I'm stupid. He kept saying that getting pregnant 3 times in nearly 9 years is a really high rate of fertility and that if everyone was that fertile there would be lots of women with 10 kids around. And that 3 conceptions is more than most people get in a lifetime, and the average woman has less than 2 children so only having one is perfectly normal and I should be really pleased.

He must think I've got an IQ of about 2 if he expects me to fall for that.

You'd think if he's a GP he'd know that the reason most people don't have 10 kids is more to do with contraception than fertility rates. And that the average reproductive rate is influenced by those who choose to have no children.

I can't see that I'm ever going to get anywhere with him when he always just dismisses everything I can say and trots out those totally irrelevant figures which make Roy Meadow's grasp of statistics look positively sophisticated.

Every time I see him I end feeling so bad afterwards that I'm on the verge of deciding that the despair isn't worth it and I might as well give up now [crying emoticon].

Sorry for the rant girls - but I need to tell someone, and try to help myself get over it a bit because I'm supposed to be going out tonight with a friend who has got PG first time of trying with both of hers, and although I'm sure she doesn't mean to be she can be a bit insensitive about it at times.

HellKat · 22/07/2005 15:41

I'm smoking again! Not much but still some. Had bitch of a day so far. will give up again though (going to chill tonight with a drink, a fag and watch BB!).
How's everyone? You hear about the guy getting shot at the train station in London? The police sounded very L.A-esque if you ask me but suppose can't take any chances with these nutters around.

cori · 22/07/2005 15:23

I am glad to hear that Diddle. Must remember that I am a paranoid hypochondriac so always worry when there are signs like this. Have my fingers crossed for you. xxx

Diddle · 22/07/2005 14:53

Hi Cori - glad you feel better and have a reason for having felt so rough.
I'm not at the worrying stage yet, and trying not to get my hopes up. I have done a little mumsnet survey and a lot of people have been pregnant and not had a bfp for quite a few weeks, so i'm not concerned, but if it goes on for too long i will definitly be going to the docs. thank you for your opinion, of course i dont mind you saying, thats what we're all about isn't it, giving our advice and opinions.

OP posts:
cori · 22/07/2005 14:07

Well have been to the GP today, Just a viral infection or so they say.( never believe them)
I feel a little better today.

Diddle, I hope you dont mind me saying this.
please dont get your hopes up too much. TBH I would be a little concerned about being so overdue without a BFP. Make an appointment with GP.

Diddle · 22/07/2005 13:49

strike1 · 22/07/2005 10:59

I don't believe a word my body say's either, it lies! (Hopefully not this time) Actually in my bodies defence, it's actually my mind getting in the way that causes all the hassle. Am I, aren't I, what was that twinge, am I going to the loo more...etc..etc!

Up to Canary Wharf this afternoon, but think I'll drive as the company I'm going to has parking. More nightmares on the tube today! It's just not worth the extra stress!

Diddle · 22/07/2005 10:56

good idea, write it all down. Thats if you need to refer to it again, you never knwo this could be your month.

OP posts:
maddyd · 22/07/2005 10:45

I ignore my boobs as they are so sensitive anyway. They are not sore but keep getting pains. Sure that happened last moth too. Im going to record everyting now so next moth when im ttcing i can remind myself waht a fibber my body is.

Diddle · 22/07/2005 10:41

I knew this would happen if i checked my due date, i'm getting my hopes up now, i want it soo bad. I really hope i am.

Think we need some more babydust to keep thsoe babies growing.

Diddle · 22/07/2005 10:26

hmmm - might book an appointment then, thought it might be too early and they wouldn't do anything. DH told me I should go too. Maybe i will, I have some free time on Monday so could go then.
Thanks Maddyd
How are those painful boobs?? still feeling bigger?

OP posts:
maddyd · 22/07/2005 10:23

I think they could give you blood tests especially after what youve been through. Or they could feel your belly. When i was 20 i i went to a familt planning clinic to get the pill and they ended up telling me i was 8 weeks pg.They didnt do urine tests then they did internals unfortunatly. I went to docs when i waited the 55 days and he just said my body was still confused and stressing about it wouldnt help.

Diddle · 22/07/2005 10:15

thanks maddyd - nope haven't been to the doctors yet, not sure what they could do to be honest, didn't you go whenyou were late, what did they say, do you think they will just send me away.
will get an early test i think, just to see.

OP posts:
maddyd · 22/07/2005 09:54

Oh God Diddle how spooky. Would be lovely. Maybe its your nans way of saying hang in there. What will be will be.

Have you been to Docs yet. re tests i always got faint posotives with the frst reponse ones one on day due and one day before due date. The nc one i did was 4 days before af. All faint.

Diddle · 22/07/2005 09:50

Have been really freaked out now. Have done what i said i wouldn't do this month and checked what my pos due date would be if i was pg. and ti is 17th March. which sounds like a normal day to you all doesn't it.
But to me it is my nans birthday.
When I was pg the first time, my nan had just passed away with Cancer, and we had been saying for weeks before how spooky it would be if i got pg as she left the world, then we were blessed with a baby, so when it actually happened we weren't very surprised, then of course the m/c happened. But now, i feel really spooked out, as if i am pg our baby will be due on her birthday. very weird. hope I am now, maybe i'm meant to be and all will be ok.

Or knowing my luck because i have checked a poss due date then AF will come.

OP posts:
Diddle · 22/07/2005 09:20

maddyd - i'm using cb digitals as they're the only ones i've had a bfp with, plus they're fun. I feel fne, apart from a bit of back ache, the occassional headache and a constant sick feeling. No aching abdomen which i would normally get with AF, or higher body temp, or aching legs. nothing. I have no idea whats going on.

Will get some early ones i think, anyone recommend a good one?? first response?

OP posts:
HellKat · 22/07/2005 08:33

Diddle- Your body is puzzling hun! Lol
Maddy- I did read that story! Made me disgusted for a woman to go through the pain of having a mc then get your baby handed back like rubbish .
I've definitely decided to auction off my af! Had enough now. Instead of getting lighter, it's getting heavier.

maddyd · 22/07/2005 08:27

Totally incompetent. It was on Mn in the in the news section.

Hellkat i supose i could look at it from that angle if they hadnt been being so bitchy. But it was only adream so no point even thinking about it. Its enough my body playing tricks without my mind doing it too.

Diddle waht tests have you been using then? How do you feel in your self

Diddle · 22/07/2005 08:20

yep tested, BFN, no signs at all. DH says maybe if i try and early test i may get a different result, what do you reckon?

Maddyd - did not know about the lady who was given her foetus by mistake, thats horrible. how incompetent.

OP posts:
HellKat · 22/07/2005 08:15

Morning all!
Day 2 of fag abstinance! Ohhhh I only miss it with my morning coffee!
Cp- Lol best of luck today!
Maddy- Ohhh yucky dream. All I know is they're meant to mean the opposite so maybe it was in a nice gesture that she gave you the baby?
Diddle- Have you tested anymore or any sign of af?
