Here we go, another new thread for us to fill with our highs and lows.

Lets start off with a good dusting of babydust, think all the rest we had has washed off in the rain

Oh Hellkat, I didn't realise it was a like a side-effect of having the Endo. That's really awful. I bet if men had to go through that they'd have found a cure/done something! Anything but go through that each month. Might be a good thing to ask them to do if they do a scan tomorrow. Hope it goes well, will be thinking of you.
CP- Are you OK? Sounds like you're going to be busy today. Think that's a good idea. My due date's a long time yet (6th January, 06) but last week I would have gone to the midwife and been 16wks pg. It's dates like these that make it so hard doesn't it?

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 24/07/2005 10:57

No i am doing nothing special.I did not have a plaque or anything. She was cremated and her ashes scattered in the same place my mums ashes were scattered.

I am not a beliver in having a place to visit when someone dies, its only the shell thats left and i believe that the soul has moved onto heaven.

I have a box with all her belongings in and i look at it from time to time, its still v hard.

Having a 20mth dd i have to concentrate on the living and her especially.I am soooooo lucky to have her as i know many many women have nothing.

But not a day goes by when i dont think of what could have been, especially when i watch dd play.

xxx

HellKat · 24/07/2005 10:51

cp-{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}} I really hope you can make it through today without it being too hard on you. this will be your hardest day and if you can do it you can do anything. It'll be easier from now on. Maybe I should'nt ask this (sorry i'm soo nosy) will you be doing anything for her today or will it be far too painful?
Yep af's have always been heavy and painful. Have'nt had one this bad though in a few years.

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 24/07/2005 10:27

Hellkat that sounds awful for you. Have you always had heavy af?

Its Philippas due date today and i am glad its here.Hoping thats once its behind me i will stop counting the pg weeks as if im still pg.

Weather a bit hit and miss, contemplating a visit to the park today but its a real money spinner (rides, balloons, craft school)On Maternity pay till Oct which is good as I work for Council but still not full pay.Stretching the pennies as far as i can but everything costs when you have kids!

HellKat · 24/07/2005 09:17

Petunia- Sounds great! hope the weather was good for you.
Trouble is, with af, it's the price you pay when you have Endo. The only thing the dr can do is send me for more laser surgery but can't if you're ttc (won't be good getting pg straight after surgery) so just have to hang in there. Going to try and cheat though. If they do a scan on my boob tomorrow, i'm going to ask them to run it over my womb aswell to see how full it is. Then it'll give me an idea of how much longer I've got.

petunia · 24/07/2005 08:32

Morning Hellkat
Wonder whether the doctor might help about your AF. Shouldn't have to change pads and stuff every hour. Sounds like you're really suffering with it and if you're feeling drained that could be a sign you're becoming anaemic already.
As for the weekend, went to the zoo yesterday with DDs. Having a quiet day today.

HellKat · 24/07/2005 08:06

Morning all.
Feeling drained here totally. Having the heaviest af in years. Tmi coming up, I'm using super plus pax and nightime pads. They're lasting less than an hour before I have to change! If I don't change then, then there's a big whoosh,. Fed up with it now! Luckily I'm taking multi-vitamins with extra iron so hopefully won't get too anaemic.
How's everyone's weekend so far?
Was giggling at Scary Movie 3 again last night!

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 23/07/2005 17:45

strike1 · 23/07/2005 10:19

Morning All. So Sorry Diddle, your right about being under more stress about it than you thought, specially with all us lot getting excited for you, it probably kept her at bay for longer. Sorry. She an evil witch! Next month. I'm with you on the health kick. I've been good this month and since ov, but let my self have a few glasses last night as we went out with friends. Feel guilty now in case I am pg! But I'll be good from now until test time.

Hope everyone did well at the Next sale, no elbows ladies Enjoy the weekend. Hope it doesn't rain on your BBQ Spub.

Xena · 23/07/2005 09:58

Goodmorning all. Have been up since 4am to go to the next sale for suits for DH.
Sorry Diddle I was wishing it for you this month. My AF is late too, and before anyone says no I don't think that i'm pg.
As HC, wishing everyone a merrry weekend

HumphreysCorner · 23/07/2005 09:36

Morning girls

Diddle-sorry for the evil one arriving so late. At least you don't have to worry any more about going to the GP. Masses of hugs and heres looking forward to an April baby with me and petunia and anyone else who has AF staying with them at the moment. (((((xxxxx)))))

LunarSea & CHOCOLATEPEANUT-isn't there anyway you can ask for a different GP. At my practice you ring up on the day and they tell you who you will be seeing and there is one that I hate so I always ask for someone else if I get her.(((xxx)))

Work dealt a blow yesterday as someone is changing her days so will be doing 2 of the ones I do so that only leaves me with every Friday However, at least I will be free to work if any of the other branches ring up when they are short staffed. Could be filling it that Tesco app in the letter rack!

AF is still flowing nicely so have warned DH to be prepared to perform from the 1st August and that I don't want any weak mixes so he has to behave himself until then

The weather is not so good here today but not intending to do much today as have been slaving all last week with DD's party and visitors etc.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend with lots of alcohol mixed in!

Byee

HellKat · 23/07/2005 08:47

Spub- Still sounds like a good idea, minimal cooking, no washing up (paper plates). Hope you have good weather though, they're forecasting rain.

spub · 23/07/2005 08:36

Hi Gals!
Just off to our local Costco to stock up for a barbie tomorrow for 6 adults and five kids.

Seemed like a good idea at the time...

Hope you all have a good day. Haven't really caught up with this thread so hugs to those who need 'em and hooray to those who need them.

More later.
Hugs

HellKat · 23/07/2005 07:42

Decided to quit after the appt on Monday. Dp peed me off yesterday and everything seemed to be aswell! So going to leave it until i get Monday over with. Feel alot happier today though.
How's everyone?
Ohhhhh BB last night! How can they let her stay in over Science? Arrogant little mare! Can't believe she had the audacity to turn around and say "I know I'll be staying, the public will want me in" Grrrr.

Diddle · 22/07/2005 22:03

thanks guys, couldn't find any wine, must have already drunk it all, found a 1/4 bottle of champagne though, that will do for tonight.
Going to really look after myself this month now and not drink anymore wine and eat much better, need to get my body healthy. I wonder if all this thinking about it is stressing my body out more than i realise. we'll see what next month brings.

Off to bed now, to read my book and watch the rest of titanic after the news.
have a good evening ladies, and thanks for all your support, you guys are great.

Wonder what the delay was.
Drink the bottle. Tomorrow is another day.

petunia · 22/07/2005 21:39

Oh Diddle, I'm so sorry. Sometimes our bodies really let us down, don't they? Go and have a glass of wine or 2.

Diddle · 22/07/2005 21:32

AF has arrived, not sure where she has been but i'm not impressed that she got my hopes up. Had a good cry, now i need a glass of wine

Hi girls

Been out all day with dd and nieces.Fresh air and all that, knock em out.DD fell asleep at 6.30 thats a half hour before bedtime which is good cos i am off there shortly myself as early start for Next sale.

Feeling a bit sore behind c-section scar.Is it a sign? AF due day 31 and no on 22.Cant wait to test.....

Lunarsea,my GP really upset me when I saw her after loosing Philippa. She said I know how you feel it happened to me and went onto tell me about her mc at 12 weeks.Whilst not wanting to dismiss how awful that was for her(I know as had 14wk mc in 1992 and i was absolutley devastated)I had just delivered philippa and felt like dying.I did not realise how hard going though that day and days leading to the funeral would be,it was all so alien to me.She also said'Really you canttakeit for granted, not until you hear them cry'

Diddle,re docs, how late is your AF?

cori · 22/07/2005 18:34

Lunarsea, I agree about your view of GPs. They treat everyone like idiots. I went to my GP about the fever I have had for 5 days and I felt like she thought I was waisting her time. She didnt bother to ask me about how was getting on since M/C or what happened with the scan she sent me for or anything. DO GPs not understand holistic care. No wonder I pay £38.00 a session for acupuncture. Complimentary therapists at least appear to be interested in how you feel and your views. hmph, my rant over now.

strike1 · 22/07/2005 18:31

Hellkat, I know how hard it is, specially when you've had a crap day. All I want to do tonight is down a large amount of wine and chill out. But I promised myself I'd be good til testing time, bummer!

Lunasea, get a new doctor! And make sure the surgery know why. I don't see why we have to put up with grumpy insensitive doctors. There's one doctor at my surgery I refuse to see now. We must stand up for our rights!!!!

Sorry another rant over. Bit weird in London today, lots and lots of police cars and sirens. Nasty. I hope you're lady isn't too late picking up her little one diddle. The world has gone MAD
