Here we go, another new thread for us to fill with our highs and lows.

Lets start off with a good dusting of babydust, think all the rest we had has washed off in the rain

here here strike, thats just how i feel, i'm cutting down just in case, and some things i've still had like prawns and coffee, because knowing my luck if i gave them up i'd get af and i think if i carry on as normal until i know for sure then maybe i will be pg. weird logic i know.

OP posts:
strike1 · 18/07/2005 16:49

That's the problem with the waiting time from ov to af. Do you give up everything just in case, or do you hope you find out early so you can start being good then? A bit of both I guess. I've got a friends house warming party on Saturday so have decided to drive to avoid drinking and suspicion, cause the moment you change something everyone starts asking questions and after what happen last time I'd rather not tell anyone till I'm sure we're out of the woods. Still none of it's a problem when you consider what you get at the end fingers crossed for everyone!

Diddle · 18/07/2005 16:43

i hope so. i'd rather know, then i can avoid my glasses of wine and coffee, and peanut butter and too many biscuits. ooohh sounds awful think i'd rather have af for another month

No No, don't get me thinking too much about it!!! I've worked out that the earlist I can test is next Thursday, but as I don't have a regular cycle I have know idea if that might still be way too early. I would get a test to use in the morning if I were you, best to know before the day begins, then you can relax and get on with another day of waiting....Hmmm doesn't sound that much fun really. Something will happen soon, one way or another.Chin up.

Lunasea - did you sneak of to do a test or are you waiting till morning as well?

Diddle · 18/07/2005 16:31

hello strike,

We all go quiet in the afternoons don't we?! Feeling very odd to day, hot flushes and a headach, I'm putting it down to the weather cause it's too early to be anything else, I think.....Very stormy here, hope it hurries up and brings back the sun. Hope you're all ok and having lovely afternoons.

Diddle · 18/07/2005 13:54

strike1 - thank you thats very positive, hopefully i am too. feel really yucky today, sicky and headaches, which are good signs for me.

strike1 · 18/07/2005 12:47

Phew, I'm back!! Glad to have that over and done with, I don't think I'll get myself in such a tizzy next time! Thankyou for not thinking I was a paranoid idiot.
I hope you get something happen one way or another diddle. I know how frustrating it is to be late and still have bfn, but when that happened to me it turned out I was pg after all. So keep an eye on it cause you never know
Glad to see that the opk do work eventually CP cause I'm still waiting to get a positive on mine too. But I'll keep trying cause it's good to know.

madrush · 18/07/2005 11:16

Lunarsea Happy Anniversary, test, go on. A BFP will certainly make the night, but if you don't test you'll only be wondering now you've counted days up so you've got nothing to lose even if it's BFN.

HellKat · 18/07/2005 11:03

Happy anniversary Lunarsea! Go on girl...test!! I did again.... bfn!

strike1 - I know how you feel - I have to go into London once in a while too (thankfully not every day any more as I managed to escape that nightmare last year) and one of the places I go to now is near Aldgate. Our meetings are usually Thursdays at about 9.30, and I always aim to get there for about 9 to allow for delays and then stop for a coffee. So I could very easily have been right there at 8.49 that day. I'll have to go again probably next week, and I'm sure I'll be jumpy about it.

Well, my wedding anniversary today, and dh has promised (well sort of) that there might be a surprise for me when I get home tonight. Wonder what he's got planned? CD26 today (very rare for me to even have a CD26!) and starting to wonder as it's 14 DPO (I don't usually have one of those either) whether it's worth testing yet? I do have some of the ultra early tests, sitting in a drawer at home..... Shall I??? It would be a nice surprise to DH to mark the day if I was, but would it spoil tonight if it's a BFN? Decisions, decisions.....

HellKat · 18/07/2005 10:35

Cori- here's to hoping you get a bfp soon too!
Mad- Awww how exciting!

cori · 18/07/2005 10:35

I am on CD 18, so realistically another 10 days before test date. TBH not really expecting to be pg because this is the first official month of trying.
Diddle,
How frustrating to be late and have BFN. That happened to me last month, but was to be expected as it was on 2nd AF since M/C. Still there is hope.

Strike1, I went to central London yesterday. Was a bit nervous, but really London looked quite deserted compared to a usual summer Sunday. Everyone feels the same way, and for once people seem quite happy to talk to you on the tube as a way of relieving there anxiety.

How much BD is enough during the fertile period. I know it is recommended everyday. But my fertile period was on 2 days. ( from OPK + egg white CM till temperature rise.

madrush · 18/07/2005 10:33

DH is thrilled (asking when we can tell people) but as I'm prone to getting over-excited he's trying to keep me calm by not getting carried away himself. Drs appt Wed am, hope to get a scan in asap at EPU.

Cori, don't envy you that wait from ov to testing.

Diddle - I really hope your dream is a premonition. What do you mean no tests left?! Do the roses and take your mind off things for a while.

HellKat · 18/07/2005 10:29

Diddle- never get it when I'm due (just finished) only when I'm pg but all tests say bfn so who knows. Are you going to grab some more tests a.s.a.p? It's so strange that you're this late. Fingers crossed hunny!
