Pamina3 that's excellent news! Congratulations. That gives us all hope. It doesn't matter if your trying for your first like Diddle, Lottielou or me, or your 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th whatever, it's still heartbreaking when it goes wrong and beautiful and special when it goes right. Good luck with your little angel.

Diddle · 27/07/2005 15:09

thanks pamina3 - great to hear a positive story, congratulations on your new one.

Xena sometimes i just want to give up. All this ttcing again is heatbreaking but i dont want to get old and be forvere looking back and regretting. I want and need my fourth just as much as i wanted my first. Its so physical it hurts.

Take care Xena, thinking of you xxxxxx

nicmum2boys · 27/07/2005 12:05

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
Strike1 I am , wish I had an ikea near me, nearest one is at least 1 1/2 hour drive....probably for the best really!
Xena I really feel for you. I don't have any experience of pcos, but know how it feels to try to come to terms with no more children. I always wanted 3, but there was no way DH was going to consider it in a million years, hence I am hoping to get pg sooner rather than later incase he changes his mind again. It's hard to let go of your dreams, even when you can see all the logical reasons behind your decision. Hope it all works out for you ((hugs)).

Xena · 27/07/2005 11:27

Thanks, I'm sure that I will still lurk here and check on you all. MaddyD there is a 100 reasons really. I'm going to list them so that I can see them too.

  1. PCOS, It could take quite a while tc and that would be very depressing. We could try for a year and then give up but we would be in the same place then as we are now IYSWIM
  2. The Dc's are 7,3 and 1 if we stop at 3 then we will be 'out of the baby stage' this time next year, which would give us more time etc. 3.DS was OK with DD2 but he realllllllly wants a brother and another sister would upset him, he asked us to keep having babies until we had a boy even if he got 20 sisters!! 4.Money 5.We are happy with our lovely 3, but they are hard work, it was a nightmare at the christening we went to on Sunday and adding another one in would be hard.

But its hard I wanted 4

strike1 · 27/07/2005 10:54

Off to Ikea, Oh the joys of working from home. See you all in a couple of hours. I will not buy too much....I will not buy too much.....

strike1 · 27/07/2005 10:52

Morning all. So Sorry Xene, ttc can take a lot out of you. If you change your mind, we're always here!

Welcome nicmum2boys. Sorry for your loss and hard won battle, but your here now

Chocolatepeanut, OF COURSE I'VE CAVED!!! BFN so far, but I could be a week away from af depending on my cycle. It's never be regular, so hopefully that bfn will be a bfp soon! I've got my fingers tightly crossed or all us testers this weekend. Like I said before, it's not over till big fat AF arrives!

spub · 27/07/2005 10:52

Xena,
So sorry!
Lots of love and good wishes. We are here if you want us.

Nic - Welcome! Lots of like minded, slightly obsessive and detrrmined and very supportive women here.
It's nice to know you are not the only one going through all of this, isn't it?

nicmum2boys · 27/07/2005 10:40

Hi, mind if I join you guys?
I am currently ttc no3, have 2 DSs 2 and nearly 5. I had a m/c last Nov at 7 weeks after getting pg accidentally while on mini pill. Have had a very turbulent time of it since then, as DH didn't want anymore and was releived when I miscarried our little one . Been a long and rocky road, but he has agreed last month to give it til Christmas, so I am hoping and praying it happens.
My body is playing silly b*ggers with me though, as my previously predictable cycle has gone completely to pot, AF arrived 7 days early, only 7 days after ov . Thought at first it was implantation bleeding, but it is still going all be it v light, and is v painful, so am assuming it's AF. Did a (slightly obsessive) test this am and was bfn, but still clinging desparately to the fact that I'm still only 12dpo.
I so wanted to do the "lets just see what happens" and wake up one morning pregnant, but this is so important to me, and I feel under so much pressure because I only have between now and Christmas to hit the jackpot.
I really need some support right now from like minded people .

maddyd · 27/07/2005 08:14

Woops Sorry Xena. Why are you not ttcing anymore? If you dont mind me asking

Xena · 27/07/2005 08:00

My error wishfull typing.

munz · 27/07/2005 07:53

oh sorry bout that hon I thought it was a P. (((hugs)))

Xena · 27/07/2005 07:52

Ahh sorry its a BFN not pregnant . We didn't really try but I messed up the pill so it would have been nice. I'll be leaving you guys as I won't be TTC anymore

Tabs · 26/07/2005 21:55

Xena - you talk as though you had BFN - was typing BFP a freudian slip, or are you pregnant?!

Maddyd - temp should stay up after ov until AF arrives or you get BFP (may dip for an odd day, which can possibly be an implantation dip). Once you get BFP best to stop taking temps, as they can fluctuate a bit and make people paranoid that they are going to m/c! Hope it wasn't an evap line - 10 DPO could be enough for a BFP - I got mine with CB digital at 11 DPO. Fingers crossed.

Spub - thrush not harmful when pregnant - in fact you're more prone to it, but you can't use the canesten oral tablets if you are.

Welcome back Lottielou - sorry about AF arriving.

Hi to everyone else - I still can't stop checking up on you guys

spub · 26/07/2005 21:05

Xena - Fab news!
We needed a BFP here to cheer us all up!
Cogratulations.
