good luck practice is good lol

homemama · 03/08/2005 14:16

Yep!! first month of trying for me too! Although there was, ahem, lots of trying that month
I think because we found it so easy first time, I just expected it to happen straight away again.
Must get more practice in this month.

Dana · 03/08/2005 10:36

Welcome back homemama (not that you were away long ) Glad to hear you decided to go ahead anyway - new house and new baby - sounds good to me!! Good luck for this month
You conceived DS quickly too didn't you?

homemama · 03/08/2005 10:06

Hi girls, couldn't keep away. Last night we decided to keep trying despite the move and the inevitable sickness

Stats as follows;
Me: 32
DH: 27 (my toyboy )
DS: 8 1/2mths
Last mth was the first mth of trying after the return of AF following BF.

Ideally I'd like a big brood of four boys but any flavour will do. Also may have left it a bit late for four!

Dana · 03/08/2005 09:28

Don't think we ever really did our stats on this thread. Good idea - here's mine:

Me: 26, Danish - moved to the UK 1999
DH: 32, Scottish
Married 5 years this month ( can't believe it's 5 years already)

1 DS(2)- conceived first month of trying

Came off the pill early June to start TTC no. 2. First cycle 45 days, now on day 15 of 2nd month. Hoping for a result soon.

Shelly, good luck on Friday. Hoping the best for you!!

sarjon · 02/08/2005 20:29

My stats (think I've already posted these but you can have them again!!)

Me: 25
DH: 27
Got married last year in July (hardly feels like a year ago!!)

TTC no.1!!!!!
(although have gorgeous 20month old godson who I refer to as my surrogate son, I get all the joy but get to give him back at the end of the day!!! )

Lilaclotus, sorry to hear bout af arriving, fingers crossed for next month now!?

H4B - will be thinking of you this week as you resist the temptation of not testing til thursday!! You must be very excited bout your holiday, went to Florida when I was 11 and loved it, went to Disneyland Paris last year (degree fieldtrip - don't ask why!!) and still loved it!!!!

Your v faint line sounds promising Shelly24, from what I've heard its almost impossible to get a false positive so heres hoping!!

My DH has always wanted to go to Legoland Dana, (trying to reclaim his youth methinks!!) but I've told him we have to wait til our Godson is old enough to go on some of the rides but if you say your 2 yr old had a great time then not long for DH to wait

I think my af is due sometime this week - I am fairly irregular - but absolutely no signs yet!!

lilaclotus · 02/08/2005 18:27

DS 11
DD 14
from previous marriage.

how about everyone else?

hope4bump · 02/08/2005 15:00

Does get to you, i used one of the ultra early ones of internet, got v v faint line yesterday, tested today with normal one and bfn, i wonder how reliable they are, i have got a clearblue digital test(well 3) going to use that on thursday if Af not shown. trying not to build hopes up. feeling like Af on its way.. im not sure how long you would say we been ttc, did not go for depo inj due in march, only got first Af june apart from a little bleed in may. doctor told us it can take a year for your body to get back to normal, so if i get pg before xmas that will be nice. but still hoping for this month.

shelly24 · 02/08/2005 14:17

I'm waiting to test H4B,my Af was due yesterday, and still no sign, did a test yesterday and got a really faint line, but you can see it,and i initially thought i was going mad,but DH said he could see it too!
I don't want to get my hopes up to much though,so am going to hold out till friday and get a proper digi one(have a load of early preg tests off net!),and see what happens from there.
Is my first month ttc,so not gonna be too hard on myself if bfn!
How about you?how you feeling?it really gets to you doesn't it!!!!

Dana · 02/08/2005 13:06

Oh poo lilaclotus So sorry to hear that. It was first month of trying though, wasn't it? Not that it makes it any less disappointing, I know!!

H4B . Wish it was me. Went to Florida a few years back (before DS ) Did Disneyland and Universal studios. It was excellent, I am sure your DD will love it. Hopefully you will now if pg or not, before you go.

lilaclotus · 02/08/2005 11:15

argghh AF came. only a day late. at least i know my cycle is 26-27 days.

hope4bump · 02/08/2005 10:54

going Florida, so really want to find out for sure one way or another, not a good idea going on cliffhanger rides when pregnant . Maybe end up with a Florida baby if not pg this month.

Anybody else waiting to test.

I'm getting really inpatient, never felt like this before. is it a sign?

Lilaclotus - how many days late are you?

best go, trying to get all my work upto date before Hols

Dana · 02/08/2005 10:16

H4B, Hope it's just too early for a normal test
Try and hold out until Thursday (or even Friday) for another test, then you know for sure and don't need to waste your money. Easier said than done, I know!!
Where are you going on your holidays?

hope4bump · 02/08/2005 09:26

BFN - was not holding much hope, the test i used was not an early predictor one, and Af not due till thurs, the one i used yesterday was ultra early and sure there was a very very faint line, going to do clearblue digital on thursday unless Af shows before, looking forward to holiday on saturday.

lilaclotus · 02/08/2005 08:33

hi dana, i get ovulation pains. they are quite strong pains on one side, usually on the right side. they are not like cramps, more a sharp pain. they last about 24 hours.

pigleychez · 02/08/2005 08:27

hi Dana

I think thats what im gonna do. My next Af is due Next thursday 11th. So ill wait and see what happens then.
Thanks for everyones help!

Toothache · 02/08/2005 08:27

Any news yet Hope4bump????

Dana · 02/08/2005 08:23

Good morning all,

Have been away for a few days as had a long weekend. We went to Legoland with some friends on Saturday. DS (2) had a great time and there were actually a lot of rides and things to keep him busy. (I had thought it would be more for older kids)

Homemama, sorry about AF . Good luck with the new house, keep us updated...

H4B, sounds very promising, when are you testing again? or are you getting a blood test done at your GP?

Lilaclotus, sorry about BFN, hopefully it was just to early. at you DP!!

Sarjon, when is AF due? Once is enough you know

lovecloud, glad to hear that you have decided to try "for real". Hope you get a result quick.

pigleychez, when would next AF be due? (if it was a period bleed you had before). Maybe you could wait till then and if nothing shows, do a test? Or.... just test NOW!!

MandM, how are you doing?

I am currently on CD12. BDing every or every 2nd day and will keep it up for another 2-3 weeks to be on the safe side in case of another long cycle So annoying not knowing when I'm ovulating . Does anyone get ovulation pains? What are they like?

sarjon · 01/08/2005 21:46

Lol at your DP Lilaclotus !!!!

Sorry Pigleychez, looks like I did get the wrong idea!! You'll just have to keep working on him then! Or maybe just showing him a test with a BFP on it would work !!!!!!

pigleychez · 01/08/2005 21:35

hi sarjon

Its not that he doesnt want one, he thinks its not possible as i had this "period" bleed a few weeks ago.
Ive tryed to explain implantation bleeding but he still doesnt think so.
I dont think i could test without him. I guess ill just have to keep at him! Men hey!

lilaclotus · 01/08/2005 21:32

sarjon, i must admit, DP and i went to tesco, bought some more tests and when we got home he asked "are you going to test then?" and sent me upstairs. it was BFN again. but as i've mentioned before i didn't get a positive until i was two months pregnant with DD. i will just have to be very patient, but i am terrible at that! and DP has been eying up the other test i have left to test himself for a laugh.

sarjon · 01/08/2005 21:26

Pigleychez - just looked through some of your other posts ( apologies cos I couldn't remember what your situation is), am I right in thinking you're not sure if your dp is 100% about having a baby or have I got it completely wrong??

At the end of the day it is your body and you should find out whats going on with it. At least if you did a test you would know one way or another and it gives you and your dp more time to get used to the idea.

I apologise now if I've got completely the wrong end of the stick with this one, if I have totally disregard all written above!!!!!!!!

sarjon · 01/08/2005 21:19

Lilaclotus (always have a problem spelling that, apologies if I ever get it wrong!!!) its so tempting to test isn't it? I (I'm whilst writing this) have to admit that I even did a test this afternoon on the outside chance that I may be pregnant (only managed 'it' once during ov!!) and needless to say it was a BFN but I'm a sucker for 'need to know now'!!!! Will you be testing again in the next few days?

Pigleychez, I can't believe you have the patience to wait - does all sound confusing to me, I'm new to all this but tight clothes and hormones all over the place seem like a good sign, don't they?? I'm sure you'll test when you feel ready though.

pigleychez · 01/08/2005 18:17

hi sarjon,

Afraid to say i didnt test at the weekend.Just cant seem to pluck up the courage!
My stomach cramps dont seem soo bad now begining to think it was all in my head. however had a major crying fit over nothing on sat evening and the jeans that fitted perfectly a few months ago are tight!(but the scales say ive lost wieght!) VERY CONFUSING!
