Cadmum · 03/07/2005 12:23

I just thought that I would drop in to say that I got my BFP yesterday! Sorry that my stay here was a short one. I wish you all the best with your TTC quests.

pinklilith · 03/07/2005 11:42

angelp - I have my fingers crossed for you!

flamesparrow - how are you doing?

angelp · 03/07/2005 08:26

I am TTC too. One DD nearly 2. This will be first month of TTC - we've been talking about it for ages but been a bit rubbish at going for it. Got AF at the mo so next couple weeks will be busy!

Flamesparrow · 03/07/2005 08:17

Good luck to all you guys. Sending more dust your way!!!

pinklilith · 02/07/2005 22:59

I'm getting a little over excited now, am on cd45, 11 days overdue, and I have already worked out due 28th feb, please keep your fingers crossed for me, due to lack of bfp have got doctors appointment for friday.

MrsQ · 02/07/2005 18:56

Know exactly what u mean - have worked through various combinations of dates: due dates, due dates + the number of days I was overdue with ds, 40 weeks from days had BD etc etc for the last few AFs. Now luckily have so many dates floating around they're all merging into one a bit and I keep forgetting them.

homemama · 02/07/2005 18:15

Welcome bubble99
Just checked and as AF arrived yesterday, if I manage to get pg this month, my EDD will be April 7th. I probably shouldn't have done that as I'll just be disappointed but you guys all know what it's like.

Jen1209 · 02/07/2005 16:38

Sorry Mrs Q, if it's any comfort, at least we'll probably all be thinking of each other!

MrsQ · 02/07/2005 07:57

Morning All. Welcome on board bubble99. Slight complication to report... now not only do I have to concentrate on 'mm, that's nice' rather than 'pls get pg, pls get pg', it seems I also have to try block Jen1209 and Lovecloud saying the same things out of my head! Very disconcerting x

bubble99 · 01/07/2005 22:07

Can I join you? I'm waiting for AF after having DT1 four and a half months ago. I'm still BF but I'm desperate to conceive again asap.

Jen1209 · 01/07/2005 21:00

OK Lovecloud, sorry for 2 things: -

  1. Spelt your name wrong
  2. Have just noticed you have a dd!

Am going to teach myself powers of observation over the weekend!

Jen1209 · 01/07/2005 20:58

Hey Lovelcloud, thanks for the baby dust!

I've heard the whole "relax" thing several times too and it might work but is enormously difficult to when you want a baby beany so badly!

Know exactly what you mean, my head starts filling up with thoughts of "swim boys swim" not "ooooh, that's nice"!!!!!!!! - makes it v difficult to concentrate!!!

This is baby no 1, had a m/c nearly 4 years ago and have just had 21 day blood tests as have been ttc for a year. Think I remember you saying you had a baby already??? Your DH sounds as though he is not too against the idea - good luck! (maybe you needn't have cooked the special meal - tee hee)

lovecloud · 01/07/2005 20:42

Thank you - sending heaps of lucky love & baby fairy dust your way

All week I have been going on about babies to my dh and he kept saying it was not the right time and we need a few more months to sort out our finances etc. When I called him today to tell him the horrible period had come he sounded disappointed which is great! So maybe I will not need to do any convincing anyway

Is this your first or second baby? I am worried that if I get too obsessed with this whole thing I will make conceiving harder as I have heard people say that when they relaxed and did not try so hard it happended. I just hope that everytime I make love now I wont be thinking, "come on little sperm, I know you can do - head for the egg!" instead of thinking "oooh ahhh, i like that.. harder" i may never orgasm again!!!

Flamesparrow · 01/07/2005 20:40

Cheap tests & ov tests

Jen1209 · 01/07/2005 19:55

Hi Lovecloud - sorry to hear your news. Don't know how to draw baby dust so am sending you the special invisible kind (can you send some back? ) I know how you feel although have been ttc for a year.

I haven't been on MN for 2 days and have missed loads!

Good luck with the meal tonight - my DP has gone out so I'm eating rubbish and watching nonsense!!!

MrsQ · 01/07/2005 19:32

Used OP stick for the first time today - was almost as impatient for the result as pg test with ds. No go yet tho - which is probably just as well as dh is working this weekend and I'm cream crackered tonight and would have struggled to stay awake for BD. I got CB sticks from Boots and got a second CB product half price - optimistically chose a pg test!

2GIRLS · 01/07/2005 19:20

Know what you mean homemama - it's my first month and already desperate I bought loads tests but got them off ebay. Got 10 tests for 7.95 I saw the clearblue ones in the chemist 7 or 8 for 19.99. I assume that they work ok and are not dud ones!!

homemama · 01/07/2005 19:03

I couldn't leave it to chance. I've gone and bought some op kits. £20 for 7 sticks! DH will not be impressed as a) too clinical for him b) we're moving house soon and £20 for some sticks to pee on wont be seen as a necessary purchase.
Oh well, desperate times and all that!!! (she says after 1mth og trying)
Welcome to anyone new that I've not greeted yet!

lovecloud · 01/07/2005 18:49

DAMN.. been on here the last week as again I thought Iwas pregnant, three tests later, sickness for the last 4 days and the horrible period has started !!!

I have not been ttc properly but I hope all the time and every month feel down.

I am starting to think maybe I cant, my body has had enough chances, I have not used contraception since birth of dd except for the withdrawl method and that is not always used.

I keep hoping though that maybe I still am, I had period when pregnant with dd. I had white discharge this morning and then later today, brown blood which had slowly changed to red and lots of cramps!!!

Someone sprinkle me with some dust, so if I was to actively ttc i will need to get on down in 14 days from today? My ovulation date will be Thursday 14th June. Right I am going to have to make a romantic meal tonight and persuade my partner that there never is a right time and that I just cant wait anymore but I want him to feel the same way...

I held a 9 week old baby girl today and i got so emotional I could not speak, my eyes welled up. Her mother must of thought i was mad.

AvocadoLover · 01/07/2005 18:48

Flamesparrow - congratulations, I'm so impressed by your self-restraint!

Homemama - I'm jealous of your AF! Still gazing longingly at my box of clomid.

pinklilith · 01/07/2005 18:31

yay lilaclotus, have lots of babydust to get you going.

lilaclotus · 01/07/2005 17:01

well girls, i've been to the doctor. he's given me a go ahead to start trying! he said i don't have to wait after going of the stomach pills (or the pill either). after AF in 10 days we can start properly.
