Ah, normality is returning - lots of posts!
I'll try and do a long post whilst DH is reading a long bedtime story to the DC's!
MLS Bugger, Bugger, Bugger. So sorry this is happening again. But 2010 will be your year- lets be honest, it's got to be better than 2009
Vjay Shopping - very impressive. Was DH in charge of the DC's? I'm tempetd to go to the shops tomorrow but I'm not sure I can face it as I'd need to take the DC's ( last day before school)
General comment to all those in the north - snow? You still have it ours went on Christmas day, we haven't managed any snow men or sledging and so am feeling that we've missed out!
moon - it's lovely to hear such a happymoon . What a lovely df to keep asking if the ring is ok!
iggy good to hear from you and yes, as I said the sand is good. The only problem is when you do finally take your head out, pregnancy is a scary place!! I'm sure tomorrow will be fine - with one of my pregnancies I had no sickness at all and have a healthy 4 yr old as a result. Looking forward to hearing from you tomorrow.
as for what shocked my parents the most - answer has to be both. My mum is not looking forward to contacting her BF as she thinks it suggests that she doesn't know her own daughter! We've never told them early, even with DD, I think it was about 16 weeks ( saved it for a 60th birthday present for mum!)
cupcake I hadn't seen that buggy before - it looks good! And yes, I'm also terrified about my scan later the the week. I'm not feeling many movements I don't think but maybe I'm just thick skinned!
blue I wouldn't worry about having ben in with you whilst he's so small - for the first 3 or 4 weeks, we had our DS in with us most nights as it was the only way to get any sleep. From then, he has always slept in the cot with no problems
good to hear from you mermaid - snap on the uniform. Hope the nasty physical stuff has finished for you by now.
barbie I loved your long post! I have lots of symypathy with you having people staying for so long, no matter how nice they are. My MIL was with us for a week and that was enough ( and we do get on fine). I hope that they are helping around the house - you with that lovely bump and all. I also can't believe you are at 34 weeks - time has just flown!
LovelyNeekothenotsocoldanymore What a lovely dad! I have the opposite situation -useful DH and useless ( but lovely) dad! And yes DD and DS are loving telling everyone about the baby but they seem to have forgotten recently and we need to remind them! Also, no one believes them!! They told some good friends of ours at lunch yesterday which was very funny - these are antenatal friends from DD and they have 2 dcs like us. The DH really wants more but my friend has hideous pregnancies and just can't face another one. Needless to say - he was very excited and jealous and she wanted to kill me!! However, she is now searching her garage for all the baby equipment she can find!!
monkeysbum Good to hear you had a good christmas - if DS did, you must have done!
HappyJools I'm sure there is plenty of sand to go round. I've got a damp sand pit full of it - very nice and warm and highly recomended!
4ever I can imagine that that doppler must seem like a lifeline. I am a teensy bit jealous - untill I start getting big kicks, I'm not going to believe it's real!
curly I only got away with not drinking for three reasons - firstly party rather than dinner and so I kept losing drinks, secondly no one expected me to be pregnant and finally bf was too tied up with cooking to notice my lack of drinking! Not long now untill we meet curlygirl!
budha Good to hear our cyber nephew is filling out nicely but the frequent feeds must be hard work
BakingQueen Happy new year to you too - you also sound in a good place for 2010.
And , whilst the story was long, it wasn't that long and so, I need to go and make room in cupboards for christmas presents!
So, hello to all those I've missed esp gracie and MrsKate who are probably lurking whilst enjoying all that Christmas choclate!!
