I've just eaten the blue cheese I had avoided last night ! Feeling too ill to go out - may just send DP out for alcohol and remain on the sofa !

MummyLovesSadie · 08/01/2010 14:40

Oh gawd I think the three of us should just start drinking now.

MummyLovesSadie · 08/01/2010 14:36

Sorry Cupcake glad your scan went well & that everything is formed as it should be.

Joolsiam · 08/01/2010 14:34

monkey - plenty to go round

I thought I was OK, then ended up in floods of tears this morning too Have done no work and feel like I'm going to be sacked if I don't get my backside into gear

My boobs are so sore they are throbbing, and I have constant low-level nausea that makes me want to actually be sick to make it stop - if I'm not PG, I just want AF to arrive right now and for it all to go away

Love your description of the scan Cupcake

MummyLovesSadie · 08/01/2010 14:34

Monkey this is utterly shit isn't it. When my friend left this morning I completely broke down & started crying & screaming 'Why can't I have a fu**ing baby?' & I was hammering my fists against the wall, I really lost it. I know I have to keep it together for the sake of my dd but I feel like I'm about to crack up.

MrsKate · 08/01/2010 14:26

hi monkey i dont think it was swine flu my temp wasnt high enoughfor that .

yeah to cupcake xxxxxx

monkeybumsmum · 08/01/2010 14:17

Oh Jools and MLS you haven't got any choccy and Baileys to spare have you? Am having a sh*t day, just got home and burst into tears. Just can't believe it'll ever happen no matter how much shagging dh and I do

MrsKate Sorry to hear you've been poorly - do you think it was swine flu? hope you're not too tired working so much... Must be v difficult!

Cupcake Lovely to hear about your fab scan! Must be a relief re feet - is it genetic then?

Gracie Wonderful news re your bf's gf, and am glad they're back together. Think it was deffo a good thing that you weren't the birth partner

Off to unpack shopping now - have been told that we're having tons of snow this weekend and the temp will drop to about -20 Have just been getting supplies - in fact we now have so much food in the house that there's almost no room for us!

cupcakefairy · 08/01/2010 14:00

Hi all, thanks so much for your lovely texts. Scan was fab... much nicer sonographer this time My bladder was full to bursting and she could tell how uncomfortable I was so made me go to the loo so I could enjoy the scan!

Was amazing, saw so much detail, and she kept commenting what a fidgeter little Titch was, moving arms around loads...s/he had hand right in front of mouth when the sonographer wanted to look at the lips managed not to find out sex which we're very pleased with and baby has feet at right angles to legs, yippee! (dh was born with club feet) Thanks so much for all your lovely thoughts and prayers.

MLS So sorry to be jabbering away with my good news when you are having a crap day that must have made you so sad your dd saying that... it will happen, but for now I think jools' mountain of chocolate idea sounds like heaven!

gracie lovely news about your bf and partner yes, I think witnessing a birth at 37 weeks or whatever you are wouldn't be hugely encouraging!!

Right, on with work...

MrsKate · 08/01/2010 13:39

MummyLovesSadie · 08/01/2010 13:04

Jools that sounds like a brilliant idea.

Joolsiam · 08/01/2010 12:48

MLS - it is utter shite How about sharing a bottle of baileys and a mountain of chocolate with me ?

MummyLovesSadie · 08/01/2010 12:33

My dd has just said "Mummy I want a brother or sister baby in your tummy". Feeling utterly utterly crap.

BlueMoon1981 · 08/01/2010 12:17

i love working from home my boss has had a bit of a strop with me cuz i cant get in, i said if you wanna come and get me then do so

mls i would find that incredibly difficult too, im in the same position as you where so many people have had babies in the year where i lost 2. its not fair. but its not unreasonable to feel that way, or at least i dont think it is. better to admit thats how you feel instead of pretending its all ok.

MummyLovesSadie · 08/01/2010 12:00

Uuurrggghh I feel shit. One of my best friends came over on a play date this morning & she's told me she's 7 weeks pregnant. She really found it hard telling me & she is lovely but I'm having such a problem with it. She didn't even want another child. Since my first mc a year ago, so many of my friends have fallen pregnant & had babies. Why can't it be me?

GracieGirl · 08/01/2010 11:04

Barbie they said George was about average size, they commented quite a few times about quite how low down he is but looking at the rest of mumsnet their are quite a few people walking (or trying to walk!) around for weeks with heads engaged. The George has been back to normal manic bouncing and kicking since.

Monkey I?m pleased to hear your DS is recovering nicely. Yes I really must pack that hospital bag today. I spent all evening yesterday updating my "George" scrap book with bump pics and scan pics etc, nice but not very useful! I need to pack that bag! I got a bit obsessed with collecting things that prove I was pregnant after miscarrying before. In fact I was a bit shocked to see John lewis have brought out a whole nursery design in the same pattern as the cute box I bought to put all my "Fred" pregnancy stuff in. (I hope I'm not confusing anyone nicknaming my pregnancies, but it helps to make the pregnancies individual).

Mermaid sounds great about the guide dog pups, though I think I?d struggle to give them back!

4ever I?m really pleased you are getting well looked after by the NHS.

Cupcake thinking of you for your scan.

MLS I never had any will power regarding testing either!

If anyone can remember me talking about my male best friend who?s girlfriend was pregnant and having lots of problems with the baby and their relationship (due to best friends mum dying suddenly and my best friend having a bit of a breakdown. Also girlfriends previous pregnancy was a stillborn). I?ve been taking her for weekly scans since 30 weeks as they were going to induce her. Well she made it as far as 39 weeks and she?s had a baby Boy called Joseph, 6lbs 1oz. He?s lovely!! Also the week of the birth my best friend (who I?ve barely seen since getting pregnant ? we just email now) and girlfriend seem to have got their act together, and he was there for the birth and has seen the baby every day since. I was quite relieved not to have to be birth partner ? a bit too close to my own baby?s birth for comfort I think!

DH off work again today so hopefully we?ll get some more DIY jobs finished to help with my nesting!!!

4everhopeful · 08/01/2010 10:49

Oh cupcake just tx you to wish u well for this mornings scan, didnt think ud get on this morn! Big hug... Just popped back cos dutifully called new frosty knickers manager at work to confirm my return, got horrid cold hello, no how are you, no happy new year, just cold curt & frosty, said she had someone with her so would call back, sooooo lacking in people skills, worst manager iv ever had & i had alot.. This woman iv known for years & even came to wedding but recently made a manager & had total personality transplant [grr] Must do my damndest to not let it stress or upset me & just pity the bitter cow & let it go over my head...

littlebellsmum · 08/01/2010 10:47

BlueMoon1981 · 08/01/2010 10:33

oh jools am gutted for you but it aint over til the evil witch arrives. dont want to put a downer on things, but remember my stupidly long cycle of 42 days where i was convinced i was pregnant too and i wasnt. arrrggghhh its sooooo horrible waiting isnt it, i really feel for you.

cupcakefairy · 08/01/2010 10:33

Morning girls, one hour til scan...need to go and drink lots of water apparently.
Barbie no we're not finding out flavour, well hopefully not anyway!

jools so sorry, that sucks hope tomorrow bring better news.

monkey I loooove that song too, beautiful. Was the film 50 First Dates? That song also plays on the saddest ever ER episode when Mark Greene dies so always makes me emotional

4ever well done for getting through yesterday and just so glad you got some reassurance. Hope Monday looming isn't too horrible.

So so sorry I don't have time for more... gotta dash, dh will be home soon and I should be working love to all x
