Jools I'm so sorry. I hope you are snuggled on the sofa eating chocolate with your DP. Sending you more chocolate and lots of hairstrokes.

Curly thanks for your text earlier, I was heading upstairs for a quick sneak onto Mumsnet as soon as I finished my lunch. But I started with a run of Braxton Hicks which panicked my Mum who was round helping me with DIY jobs. I had about an hours worth and they were coming quite regularly so my Mum kidnapped me and took me to her house where there's no internet. I've just been allowed home now as DH will be home from work in an hour.

Just going to read back on the last 2 days of the thread, back shortly.

littlebellsmum · 10/01/2010 19:44

Jools Bugger, bugger, bugger - more chocolate for you and some of the baileys from my cupboard, please

Just posting now, was gonna do it later... Woke up feeling very crappy that its 4yrs today since my dad died, knots in my tummy & full of anxiety. Got the most beautiful text from lovely Neeko that meant the world cos none of my so called RL friends remember or acknowledge it.. Its very lonely. It has always been since the moment he died, just me, my DH & my mum. I was just thinking how very crap it is that as his only child I never got to make him a grandad, but did manage a smile at the thought that he is a grandad in heaven to our 4 angel babies...

Then I called my mum to say we'd be round to let off balloons in her back garden by my dads tree where some of his ashes are, and she told me that last night, her only remaining sister, my lovely aunty Peggy died last night... Just want to get round to my mums with DH asap, luckily my half sister came from worcs to stay with my mum a few days ago so she is not alone.. I feel pretty numb & low though, I cant believe it really, I never even got to tell her about the baby & I know how pleased she would of been..

As the lovely Barbie suggested, a nice way to mark my dads anniversary would be to upgrade to big pants so Im doing it now in case I dont get a chance later.. (and thank you sweetie for remembering, and while Im at it Happy 30th Birthday for tomorrow lovely lady.. xx)

So in memory of my wonderful lovely Daddy who I miss dearly:

Have been without laptop power for more than 24 hours and it has been hell! Dh kindly bought a new lead after work today cos he know how much i miss you all

back soon xxx

Sabs1981 · 10/01/2010 13:18

Just a quick post from my phone to let jools know i'm thinking of her i'm so sorry hun. Here's my hand to hold too. This phone is rubbish for posting so will try to get on the laptop later on

Joolsiam · 10/01/2010 13:09

Thanks everyone

I'm not doing too badly - once I got that BFN, I was pretty sure that, although something was happening, it probably wouldn't be viable - was prepared for this and just relieved the waiting is over I think

DP has gone out for chocolate whilst I wash the bedding, bathroom floor, the cat [oops]

Hopefully the extreme tiredness will go now (still have excruciatingly sore boobs) and I can finally get over this cold, back to the ygym and back to normality

MummyLovesSadie · 10/01/2010 13:09

Jools so for you. It sounds like exactly the same has happened to you as happened to me last cycle. I had loads of symptoms then a bfp which gradually got lighter - my boobs still hurt even when af was here & yes I had the mother of all af's too. Very gushy & clotty & it made me think 'this is like a mc'. Why don't you start taking aspirin now? If problems implanting are the cause of our cp's then maybe aspirin is the solution??

Vjay yes in my fantasy in my head I AM flying out to Florida with a bump!

VJay · 10/01/2010 12:54

jools so sorry af is here and a bad one to boot . Stay strong

mls like the sound of your holiday, I think you'll be flying out to Florida with a bump

sabs all normal re your relationship. Me and dh were like that 1st time round, this time round has been a lot different but that's because it's not been a big shock we know what an upheval (sp?) it is. As for weaning I know I've started early at 4 months rather than 6 but Ajay was so hungry and now he's a lot happier and more settled during the day. He's asleep right now I've only being giving him a lttle puree or rice at lunch times (sweet potato today and he loved it), and my Anabel Carmel bible suggests to start breakfasts too now but he's happy enough so am going to leave him on just lunches for now. First time round, like blue, I did it all to the book, this time I'm far more relaxed about it all .

annie I don't want to drive in the snow either but ds1 is back to school tomorrow so must dig the car out.

Big waves to you all and happy birthday mm and to barbie tomorrow, the big 30

CurlyBigPants · 10/01/2010 12:43

jools I've just got a text from mrskate to say that she's in work so can't post but that she wanted to send you a big hug in the meantime. Hope you are okay honey. You are strong and you've done brilliantly in the last few months so just hang in there and you will come through this xxxx

monkeybumsmum · 10/01/2010 12:26

Oh Jools I'm so sorry to hear you had to go through that It does sound like a cp doesn't it... Poor you. You've been through so much, I hope all this sh*t comes to an end soon and that things start looking up. God knows you deserve it x

CurlyBigPants · 10/01/2010 12:23

Oh jools I am so sorry Is DP there to look after you? This is so unbelievably shit for you. I am sending you the most massive hug and some hairstrokes. I hope you are tucked up in bed or on the couch. I know there is nothing I can say to make you feel better but just try and get through the next few days and cry scream and shout all you need to and then we will come up with a PLAN. It will happen, and we'll be there as long as it takes but right now we need to look after you and get you through this horrible unfair time xxxx

Joolsiam · 10/01/2010 12:09

Looks like its is CD1 today

Had a big bleed this morning and (tmi I know) - was trapped on the loo for a while - a bleed of mc proportions and brought back some horrid memories

I was also dreaming of / reliving my mc's last night - first time since I've been on the antidepressants ...

littlebellsmum · 10/01/2010 10:39

V quikc post as I've promised the dc's that I'll take them swimming today.

Sabs Overprotective not - doing what you want for for child yes.
It's very difficult with Saara being so small re the MIL situation ( doesn't have to be the MIL, could be any relative or friend) - now that mine are bigger, we have "grandma;'s house rules" and our rules. It was the same tbh when I was a kid - at Grandmas house, I'd get an orange with a sugar lump in to eat - life wouldn't have been worth living if I'd asked for that at home!
When mine were tiny, the main problem I had with my mil is that she has a keen advocate of letting them cry, even when days old ( despite never seeing her "babies " for about 2 weeks when they were born as that is what happened in hospital in those days). So, I'd get comments like "That babies getting spoilt already" etc. I dealt with that by claiming wind everytime I picked them up ( obviusly babies now me )
It was also funny when we did venture to the pub when dd was only a few days old - MIL insisted that we needed some time together, so we went. When we got back 2 hours later, MIL was in a bit of a state as DD hasn't stopped crying and she didn't know what to do!!
But as I said, Saara is so small that you probably just want to get her into your routine and so, if MIL won't play by your rules (and by that I mean does things that you are really uncomfortable with like trying to give her solid food or changing how you get her to sleep, or giving her a dummy when you don't want her to have one), then don't leave her in charge. To avoid arguements with your DH, this might mean that you can't leave your own mum in charge either but it is only for a few weeks ( hopefully!)
It could be worth leaving Saara with your mum, going out with DH and discussing with him why you don't want to leave Saara with his mum - if you discuss it calmly in a neutral place, he might just agree with you?
Good luck - these sort of things are never easy
BTW - as the others have said, it can take a while for DH to readjust. We went to visit friends for the weekend when DD was about 4 weeks old and my friend couldn't understand why DH wasn't doing more and asked him- his explaination was that it was the weekend and he needed a rest. Friend pointed out the obvious (ie where was my weekend) and from then on in, he's been fine! We do make the most of babysitters when we get them (which isn't often) - often I'd rather stay in, but we do go out as I know how much DH enjoys it.

Wow - that was more of a essay than I expected!
HI to everyone else

CurlyBigPants · 10/01/2010 08:20

Hello lovelies. Sorry for not posting over the last few days. I finish up work next week and am desperately trying to finish stuff this weekend so that I can handover before then. I just wanted to let you know that I'm lurking and thinking of you all, especially our small panters.

jools moon mls and monkey I can only agree and say it is shite but please don't give up hope. You've all had a rubbish year, and January is depressing at the best of times. We will have a bfp, and a sticky one from all of you soon It will happen just hang in there xxx My curly prediction for the New Year is that we will have 3 more bfps before Barbie gracie and myself all pop so go ahead and dig into this tequila that's been lurking in my drinks cabinet since last year and get shagging girls

jools honey I am keeping everything crossed for you - desperately trying not to get excited xxx

mermaid my lovely it's great to see you posting and that you have found some calm in this storm though I welled up thinking of the blissful innocence of the mermaid on honeymoon It all seemed so easy then. I was the same a couple of years ago. But that was before your lovely DS too so I'm sure you wouldn't give the time in between back Hmmm probably none of that made any sense but here's a massive hug in case you need one anyway. I think about you all the time xxx

Anyway I need to get back to some work but will catch up properly very soon. Lots of love to our wonderful new mums and medium panters too

MummyLovesSadie · 09/01/2010 22:10

Blue thanks for your faith in me. You all make me feel so positive & when you all keep telling me it's going to happen soon it really makes me believe it.

MummyLovesSadie · 09/01/2010 22:03

Sabs if you weren't overprotective there would be something wrong with you! Think of yourself as a lioness looking after your little cub, right now she is your number one priority & everything else naturally takes step back. I've had a great day thanks, dh has been unusually considerate & chilled-out & we have booked our holiday - two weeks in Florida in July!

Jools it sounds like you have a cupboard much like mine! Go with the Tesco test!

Annie congrats on such a long & coherent post for one as sleep depraved as you! Lovely image of you with Ellis all bundled up in his little sling in the snow.

anniebigpants · 09/01/2010 21:46

Evening all, hope everyone ok and not snowed in. We took Oli sledging today, we managed to borrow one as you cant buy them for love nor money at the moment. We had a lot of fun even though i could only spectate as had Ellis in the sling, all cosy snuggled in.

Ive had a read through and catch up, but apologies if i miss anyone.

Sabs- I echo completely what MLSthewise says, having a baby puts a massive strain on the strongest of relationships, all completely normal, just remember to pull together and not apart.

Jools-Im still holding out hope for you this month, possibly a faulty hpt?? Thanks for lovely comment re recent photos of Ellis.
Have your cats been wanting to stay in more in this snowy weather? Mine go out for 10 mins max then are straight back in to find a cosy spot, my big tom cat likes to lie on the back of the tv.

MLS-Big hugs lovely lady, so sorry to hear you being so upset about your friends news about her pregnancy, but totally understandable.

barbie-Hope you enjoying the peace now that the family have left.
Re boys names-well Oliver is my favorite for obvious reasons, but like Harry as well.

cupcake-So happy for you that your scan went well

MrsKate-Sorry to hear you have been poorly, still, not long till maternity leave.

Gracie-Glad your bf and his gf have had their baby and seem to be working through their problems. Not long for you now, is that bag packed yet?

Neeko-Hope your DD settling well at nursery, i think it does them the world of good and really brings them on.

VJay-Hope you enjoyed your walk today, ive been walking everywhere as am so scared to drive in the snow.

Buddha-Hope you and Ewan are well, hows the sleeping going? My little monkey is still waking every 2 and half to 3hrs for food, im sooo tired, Oli was going 5-6 hrs at this age and sleeping 7-7 by 10 weeks.

MM-Hope you and Nieve are well. Happy birthday too! X

Blue-Hows the lovely Ben? Its fab having two boys isnt it?

4ever-Sorry to hear about the redundancy but sounds like you are in a win-win situation, redundancy package will beat stautory mat pay any day. Cant remember if ive congratulated you on finding out you are having a girl or not, if i havent please excuse my rudeness, it wasnt intentional, so pleased for you.

monkey-Glad your DS operation went well, bless him.

mermaid-Hello lovely, thinking of you.

Big waves to LBMLionCurlyMoonBQ hope i havent missed anyone out?

Joolsiam · 09/01/2010 21:07

MLS-I completely forgot to get any today However, I did find a Tescos test in the back of the cupboard, along with a ClearBlue Digi, so I'll try one of those tomorrow if necessary

*Barbie - agree with most others on the names - Oliver, Harry or Henry for me - not keen on the others personally

Sabs1981 · 09/01/2010 20:56

Thanks for the reassurance mls. DH and I have been married for over 5 years now, where we were able to go out when we wanted, where we wanted. Obviously I wouldnt change anything but I guess it does take time to make adjustments in our lives. I guess we need to make more couple time but I dont like to take advantage of my mum, sister and MIL too much. Plus I have issues with leaving her with my MIL, as the in-laws dont always do ask I ask when it comes to Saara, another issue which has caused arguments between DH and I. Again, is this normal or am I being overprotective?

What did you get up to today mls?

Hi to jools too. £3 for a whole pyjama's set - thats good! . I didnt buy myself anything at all in the sales - everything was for Saara. I got my credit card bill today not good, especially as we're meant to be on a budget

MummyLovesSadie · 09/01/2010 20:32

Jools don't M&S sell hpt's???

MummyLovesSadie · 09/01/2010 20:30

Hello lovely Sabs, the thing that is going on with you & dh is COMPLETELY normal let me assure you. Since having dd I've always said I don't understand people who say they are trying for a baby to help cement/repair their relationship because in my opinion when you have a baby exactly the opposite happens! A combination of extreme tiredness, conflicting expectations & short tempers can put a massive strain on even the strongest of relationships. I'm speaking from personal experience here as my dh was so lovely to me all through my pregnancy & suddenly when this little screaming bundle made our twosome a threesome the dynamics of our household changed overnight. I know that my dh found the fact that I was home all day with dd difficult to handle when he would have given his right arm to spend more time with her. There was also a power struggle going on (& still is!) & even now he says "You always think you know best when it comes to dd".... but yes I think I do because she is my job now! It will get better but you are like all of us in thinking that having a baby will make our lives a fluffy & glowy but when it happens it is bloody hard work & there are lots of tears - quite often ours!

As for 'Enders, what about Roxy???!
