Hi all, no time for proper catch up. I has headache and it is worse from computer screen...

jools so gutted this wasn't your month

4ever so so sad to read about your aunty - especially on that day... I hope you are ok.

barbie Happy 30th - belatedly! Hope you had a fab day.

Much love all - I am fine - just headaches and feeling sick again today... xx

4everhopeful · 12/01/2010 14:12

Hey lovely ladies! You are all so very sweet for all your wonderful comments and texts and general support & kindness over my Aunty, Dads anniversary & return to work.. I shed more than a few tears at it all.. Its been quite a week! Im drafting this as an e-mail sitting at my desk & gonne do a sneaky post before I leave! Work hasnt been to bad after all & was nice to see all my old friends & share my news It was chaos yesterday as the new database went 'live' & everyones job has changed until the imminent redundacy in the summer, so we were all in the same boat, but I can just sit & go through my e-mails this week rather than train, which is cool! I was absoluteky shattered when I got in yesterday though, thank god Im doing half days this week! My new team, manager & desk are all ok & manager has had her own dramas with unwell mother so I feel bad now, she obviously just has alot on her plate.. As for redundancy, yes, I am being optomistic about it & it may well be a blessing, but it was always my intention to come back after a years mat leave as we have a mortgage to pay & DH & I earn the same, however this will maybe give me 2yrs off & then hopefully find something part time? Ill worry about it when it happens, but yes, for the foreseeable, it probably is a good thing!

You were all so sweet about my Dads anniversary & my upgrade, we let off balloons & lit his candle that I got for our wedding (so he would still be there). It was awful timing about my Aunty but thankfully my half sis is staying with mum for a while, the funeral is next weds... She was 85 and bedridden & had apparently said she was ready to go, but its still horrible, she was a lovely happy soul & I will miss her..

Moon remembering our LOs and not having proper goodbyes is half the hardship with MC I feel, Im lucky to have scans pics, but they will always stay with you, I planted 3 plants in the garden but ashamed to say they didnt take! Maybe you could do something like that? I have since got a gorgeous belly bar, one big stone for my 13wk baby & 3 dangly stones underneath for my 3 9wk babys, I really need to take it out as its stretching now, I may take a pic of that & my bump & post it!

Jools Im so sorry about AF or poss c/p, its just rotten that symptoms are so blummin smiliar I had several awful super clotty heavy flooding type AFs & was so concerned I got referred for a scan as was starting to think dreadful things, it does take you back to MC, it reminded me that I had been on the aspirin from early because of it, I hope you are feeling better now & enjoying the runny cheese & wine

Mermaid lovely, sorry to hear about your young friend, fitting that the sun should shine afterwards. I hope you're rollercoaster is not too bumpy with gradually more ups than downs? I echo you about how we must appreciate our wonderful DHs, mine is my absolute rock & a wonderful man that has supported me immensely & im grateful every day for him, I couldnt live without him..

Vjay hope young Ajay is doing ok after his jags poor wee thing! Think its fab that you can just trust your mothers instinct, I shall endevour to do the same, but think may be tapping you old hands for advice on a regular basis!

LBM wonderful to feel kicking! Im def having some flutters but itching to let DH feel, when does that happen? Also whens that scan rearranged for?

Barbie hope you had a fabulous birthday pretty lady! I want to hear all about it & see your sparkly new ring!

Monkey get well soon, that cold is a belter you poor soul! Glad your DS op went ok too...

Neeko I did smile at your DD loving nursery after your wobble and her 'excellent' sticker! Proud mum moment eh?!

MLS glad you are already feeling the benefit from the acupuncture! Wow at absteining from alcohol!

Cupcake hope the back not too bad today? My hosp does ante natal physio, worth enquiring if you can get the same?

BLue and all yummy mummies kiss those bouncing babies from me!

Sorry, rushing a bit now as should of left 10mins ago, dont want to look to eager! Top manager just stood behind me too, hopefully didnt see what I was writing! To those I missed lots of love!

Neeko · 12/01/2010 13:27

hello everyone.

MLS Magnets sound good and you'll know by Saturday night if they work. Natal Hypnotherapy do a conception relaxation cd. might be worth a try if you don't think too much about the bogeys! I think of your comment everytime I put mine on BTW!

Vjay clever Ajay on his jags and good fior you on being so relaxed. I'm hoping I'll be the same this time. As a born and bred Scot I think jab sound funny but I'd maybe say vaccination if I was trying to sound intelligent!

Cupcake meant to say last night, have you tried a birthing ball for your back? I love mine and it really helps my back if I kneel on the floor and lean over it. It's great to sit on and watch the TV to save my poor pelvis too. Oh dear, i sound like I'm falling to bits!

MummyLovesSadie · 12/01/2010 13:08

Vjay these magnets work for any cravings, I just have to give them a bit of a massage when I'm feeling in need!

MummyLovesSadie · 12/01/2010 13:06

Where is everybody??? Jools how are you feeling today? I wish you lived closer & then you'd be able to see the my fantastic acupuncturist but then the proof of the pudding & all that so we'll see in the coming weeks just how fantastic she is.

Monkey your dh sounds lovely with that comment he made. Maybe he's got a thing, have you got any weird symptoms apart from feeling sick?

Moon I don't have any scan pics but have kept my bfp's, scan date letters, nhs prescription cards & hospital wristband. Then of course I got my tattoo, I've still to add a third star to it.

Vjay impressed that Ajay has control of the tv remote already!

Mermaid you are so right about us being lucky with our dh's. I always try & find something to be happy about (gawd I sound like Pollyanna) & even though I've had 3 mc's & 2cp's I feel very fortunate that I've actually been able to get pregnant in the first place.

Cupcake I've always liked the look of this thing that you put in the bed between the two of you that your baby sleeps in safely. I wish I could remember the name of it.

Neeko I'm sure that in a few weeks your scrap-book will be choc full of 'excellent' stickers! I really should start a scrapbook myself but I tend to chuck everything away as I can't stand having clutter everywhere.

Eeeek running out of time. Acupuncture was fab. I have every faith in this woman being able to help me. My now-lovely dh has offered to pay for my treatment although it's not expensive. When you've had a treatment you get the envelope with your name & put however much you want between £18-£35 with no questions asked. I need to do breathing exercises & also find some time to do nothing but relax/meditate.... yeah right!

Anyway gotta dash, big waves to everyone, will catch up properly later.

VJay · 12/01/2010 12:56

mls that sounds interesting, I wonder if I could get magnets for my chocolate and food in gerneral cravings! I hope it all works for you, it did for blue, and I think just being soooo relaxed helps too

Ajay had his jags today. blue why do they call it jags up here instead of jabs? Anyway, I was chatting to the doc and told him I had started to wean Ajay already. He wasn't bothered and said we should all use some common sense really, and that 4 months was fine. I felt alot better about starting early and Ajay is so much more settled now. He had his lunch today and cried when he'd finished wanting more, so I think I will start some breakfast for him soon. I'm just going to be led by what Ajay wants this time, not what the books or other people say

MummyLovesSadie · 11/01/2010 22:07

Just a very quick one from me as the acupuncture has made me feel all zen-like & I need to go & r-e-l-a-x now! It was totally & utterly amazing, apparently I have a kidney deficiency which is a big cause of early mc. I currently have 5 magnets in my left ear to help me deal with alcohol cravings so no voddy for me I'm afraid ! Will catch up with you all tomorrow.

Neeko · 11/01/2010 21:41

Vjay

Jools The bunny sounds lovely. My DH bought me a chain with a tiny diamond in it for my tiny angel.

mermaidspurse · 11/01/2010 21:40

torque I think. Can't check cos dh has gone sliding down the hill looking for salt/grit. all our slush has tuned to ice.

jools and moon I know that you both will get your amazing sparkling and hgely celebrated milestones of scan pictures.
4ever is our shining beacon of hope and don't forget. itwillhappen maybe not this month maybe not next but it will.xx

lbm at your kicking you must have bought bigger trousers.x

monkey yuk at all this sickness and coldy thgs flying around. Hope you feel better soon. I bet your ds has bounced back full of life

VJay · 11/01/2010 21:27

lol neeko it was something about it being in a lower gear, or higher gear , I can't remember, but the it's all down to wheel spin , or something like that. Hope that didn't bore you . Right off to feed ajay, than bed for me, ready for the school run and ajays jabs in the morning.

OP posts:
Joolsiam · 11/01/2010 21:26

Moon - I don't have any tangible things to look at either (other than one condolence card) - the only time I've had a scan, it has been to confirm complete MC. For that reason, any scan I do have that shows a live bean will be such an amazing milestone and I simply can't wait.

Last Christmas, I bought a lovely little rocking horse decoration from Past Times - it had the year on it. I bought another one this year with 2009 on it - one fo each of my most long-lived little angels.

The first day I ventured out in Nov 08, I bought the cutest little cuddly bunny rabbit - that BELONGS to my babies and I get it out for a cuddle when I'm feeling blue.

Neeko · 11/01/2010 21:24

Monkey sorry to hear you feel sick but hope your DH is right!

LBM Yay for kicks!

Neeko · 11/01/2010 21:22

My goodness. Did I take ages to type or fall asleep mid-way?

Moon may be a silly idea but what about printing some of the thread from the second preganancy. I remember how happy and hopeful you were and at least it's some proof? soory, hope that idea didn't offend.

Vjay Gorgeous pics and I'm impressed that your DH knew why. Did you retain enough to share?

Mermaid We ARE lucky and it's good to be reminded. thank you.

Jools How's the cheese?

I'm bringing in the tonic and some vodka for you all. MLS better get back soon or she'll miss it.

littlebellsmum · 11/01/2010 21:20

The quickest message ever from me - I got a proper kick today- from the baby obviously!

v Lovley and you have all been so chatty today that I've no time to chat as I've been too busy reading!

Night Night!

monkeybumsmum · 11/01/2010 21:20

Happy belated birthday mm too x

monkeybumsmum · 11/01/2010 21:18

Just dashing in quickly - yes I am still alive after our piss-up thanks VJay Still got PIL's staying and am not well so not been on computer... Got cold and am feeling rather sick DH keeps saying 'oh dear what a shame I hope you continue feeling sick for the next three months' bless him, but am sure is more likely a bug...

Happy Birthday Barbie Sorry it's a bit late, but hope you had a fab day

Mermaid You are oh so right... Goodness me we are lucky

4ever Well done you for getting through yesterday, and for marking it as you did. Is so lovely to see you in big pants. Sending you a big hug x
ps Not sure what film that song's from, saw sooo many films in the run up to ds arriving that it's all a bit of a muddle! Am loving the fact you played it to your bump

Moon Sorry you've had a crappy day - I agree with you about having a scan pic of the babies that have been lost I have one of both babies from the year before last, and occasionally I take them out and look at them. What really helped me was that lovely dh bought me two porcelain angels that sit on top of one of our cupboards and look down at us every day. He gave them to me last Christmas, and I cried... I know they're only porcelain but they make me feel closer to our two lo's. Big hug to you too x

Must go as need to go to bed in an attempt to feel better for work tomorrow... Love to you all, and will post more soon!!! xxx

Neeko · 11/01/2010 21:12

I hit post message accidentally.

Jools That's a great list. I'm sorry you've had such a traumatic time and hope you're physically over the worst of it now. I'm very of the NY trip with the girls. I heart NY!

Mermaid so sorry you had a funeral to go to. As if you haven't had enough heartache recently. You are so right about us being unable to say goodbye. I found letting my balloon go on my EDD gave me some sense of peace, though not as much as I'd like.

Gracie It is all sounding really exciting for you and I'm wishing you a reasonably quick and straightforward labour. Do you have a plan? I know few women stick to them but it's nice to think through the options. This time I'd like a water birth if I get a choice.

MM sorry Happy belated birthday. Hope you got an extra present from your gorgeous new daughter.

LBM Hope you've conceded to bigger trousers by now. Has your DD put down her microphone that the whole world can hear yet?

Blue You really sound like you're on babymoon and I love it! DD is loving nursery, especially the painting. I was tidying up tonight and found an "excellent" sticker on her top. She thinks she got it for tidying up! I could burst with pride and have already snaffled it for my new scrapbook. I've only recently read Gina Ford and find her exhausting - pretty near impossible unless with a PFB methinks.

Annie You're another one who sounds all babymooned up - lovely! Isn't it time for new pics?

Buddha sorry the bf didn't work out but doesn't matter as long as E's happy and healthy. Hope you get the reflux sorted out soon, both to make him comfortable and to save you from going about naked.

Sabs Having DD did test our relationship but think we're much stronger and closer now for it. It's very difficult for men to be moved down the pecking order and many seem to find it harder to bond. Bite your lip and try not to criticise when he does something for Saara even when if he doesn't do it your way properly. It's very early days yet and you'll all find your way. Very impressed by the Wii fit BTW As for the MIL thing, explain that he has to back you on rules that both of you agree on. MY MIL is lovely n general but she looks after DD on Friday's when I'm at work and there have been many times when I've bitten my tongue. Just pick your battles carefully and maybe ask her to help with things she can't muck up like bathtime or taking Saara for a walk.

Cupcake Love to hear you making plans for when the baby's born. I think a cot with a removable side sounds like a great idea. I wish I'd bought one but when DD was born there wasn't enough room for a cot in our bedroom and she was out her moses basket by wk 10. I didn't think of putting the cot up against the single bed in her room. You'll find your way. the best piece of advice I was given was to make the distinction between night and day from the outset and keep everything dark and quiet at night, including avoiding eye contact. It really worked for us and grow bags make it easy to feed and change los at night without too much fuss.

MLS hope the accupuncture went well.

Iggy are you still smiling?

Hoping Loved hearing the update on you from Sabs. Hope if you're lurking you'll come back to us soon as we miss you.

Hi to 4evertheweeble, Mrskate, Curly, BQ, Vjayand anyone else I've missed.

BlueMoon1981 · 11/01/2010 21:08

i so did put dh didnt i oops it must have slipped out, no we didnt sneak off and get married yet, i feel silly now hehe. am i the only one not married?

and no, i sadly didnt keep any pg tests i didnt think about it at the time, i have no scan pics, nothing to hold to remind me, i wish i had something physical to look at so i can remember that they were real, sometimes it all seems like a bad dream that i will wake up from. the last month or so i have really moved forward but today for some reason i feel so so sad and i just want to sit and cry. im on my second drink now, joining the party.

mermaidspurse · 11/01/2010 21:06

I got sent a free sample of Baileys today

It made my day till I realised it was that icky coffee Baileys - maybe I'll just have to down it and hold my nose.

Wanders off, munching on fresh bread and ripe brie, in quest of a glass of wine
