Oh and he has been known to ask 'what's that human doing over there?' when just asking what someone is doing

VJay · 05/02/2010 13:48

iggy that sounds like my ds too, he can be so formal sometimes, he used to call me mother and his dad father, he now calls us mum and dad , he will sometimes come up to me and say 'so how's the weather?' he does make me laugh

VJay · 05/02/2010 13:22

Huge congratulations curly, {grin], brilliant news

Thankyou all for your hugs, they are much needed at the mo . iggy my DS1 would do that too, once he's finished with something, that's it, there's no finishing a job

barbie I think you are having braxton hicks, does your tummy start to go hard then builds up to a lot of pressure then dies down again?

littlebellsmum · 05/02/2010 12:38

Cupcake - 4 flights of stairs would be good for weightloss but not much else!

I'm in agreement with babygros for at least the first 3 months - partly for lazy reasons as it's so much easier to get them dressed in those than messing around with proper clothes

wow, X post and I just missed curlys great news! Wonderful to hear from you - welcome grace Enjoy those first cuddles - they are very precious

jools sorry you'r ill but aren't you always ill when you get a BFP?

Got to go - lunch people are hear!

littlebellsmum · 05/02/2010 12:31

Hello all

Sorry I've been away for a while - been a bit chaotic here with the heating breaking down again last week. One week with no heat ( and 3.5K later), new heating unit being fitted today along with double glazing. Toda is an expensive day and a cold one - we now have no heating and no windows! However, The good part is that my parents are coming over to take me out for lunch and we are going somewhere warm

And I forgot to wish curly good luck - hope it goes really well and we can't wait to hear how lovely curly girl is!

gracie Hope things progress quickly and you are holding your precious first born before the day is out!

MLS Good news on the EPU and tests. It's looking good oh, fertile one and you sound remarkably calm. Gold stars for that

Monkey Great to hear that things are looking good for you too - you are also sounding stunningly calm - more gold stars

Barbie - Stomach going hard? Braxton Hicks? or could be baby moving or even the start of contractions!! It's all sounding good too

Iggy I too am [envy} of your spa day - enjoy it

Moon - have a lovely night out tomorrow and enjoy the damage to your credit card!

Joolsiam · 05/02/2010 12:25

Awwwwwwwww a warm welcome indeed to Curlygirl

4everhopeful · 05/02/2010 12:24

Our 8th graduate has arrived! Message from Curly : 'Curlygirl is here. Named Grace Elizabeth (Grace means a blessing and she totally is) and weighing healthy 8 lbs 4. Totally adorable. Lots of love to all her virtual aunties, thanks for texts and happy birthday to auntie moon. Will talk to you all next week when I get home xxx' YAY! So so pleased for them, and very emotional! X

barbie1 · 05/02/2010 11:20

Just checking back for news of gg or curly

I have worked out that i feel sick when the baby moves/ stretches im not sure if its bh thats contracting my stomach and pushing a foot out of the side of my ribs or if im in for a very very active baby?
My stomach does keep going hard but again could be due to the baby stretching out..what do you all think mummies?

jools poor you at being ill again! Get dh to go and get all the things that mermaid suggested and hopefully you will pick up soon....i had a cold when i got my bfp

mermaid blah for pmt....Hope your boys stay out of the way for as long as you need them too, heres to resting, eating chocolate and reading magazines until you feel like your old self once again

mls you did worry me a little yesterday i must be honest! However the story of your dd made me laugh so all is forgiven when you put it like that...and how much time i wont have to myself anymore in the next fews weeks it really hits home

Im trying to muster up some energy to do something with dh as this could be one of our last weekends together as a twosome (hopefully 4ever will be right about the end of next week) I have too much energy to do nothing but not enough to do something

Might brave the cinema if i can book a seat near to the exit for the frequent loo trips.....Im sure maltersers and a film will cure my sickness

Oh iggy im v at your spa day....ill swop the nursery for your voucher! Enjoy!

cupcake how are the list going? do you need me to post the ante natal one for you?

mermaidspurse · 05/02/2010 10:25

moon happy birthday to you have a sparkly day lovely lady. Enjoy much shopping eating cakes and breakfast in bed on sunday. An order

ig glad you also had a lovely day.

gracie oh my, oh my.... thinking of you all heaps all day... and breathe.x

curly think it may be the end of your waddling too today so much thoughts in your directions too.x

jools get thee to a holland and barrett and buy some floradix great tonic easily absorbed and good for getting your body back on its feet. Maybe some of that vile tasting echinacea(sp) stuff too. You must have had a cold non stop for weeks now so enough already. Is it because you are still barefoot you poor lady.

4ever another week slinks out the door so yet another big gold star to add to your growing collection.

vjay we have children in the family on the autistic spectrum I guess as you say we all plod along dealing with everyday hurdles and reviews bring everything up and highlight all the labels. Have a mellow weekend give ajay a big kiss and have you still got snow?

neeko lovely lady I so hope that you are ok, sending you a gold star for nearly getting to your maternity leave

cupcake eek at lots of stairs, I suppose its one way to get rid of any baby pounds. Hope you find a nice cosy nest this weekend.

I have horrific pmt feeling like the evil woman from hell boys tiptoeing round me this morning.

iggypiggy · 05/02/2010 10:16

cupcake don't leave it too long - the place I am going only will do treatments on women between 13 and 28 weeks!

Jools sorry you feeling ill. when is POAS day? or are you keeping

cupcakefairy · 05/02/2010 10:07

More x-posting
Hi jools- well done on the stoic non-testing I'm thinking the cold is a very good sign though!

cupcakefairy · 05/02/2010 10:05

Morning lovelies.
Vjay sorry I had x-posted with you last night- sorry to hear review was a bit stressful I guess it's hard anyone on the 'outside' looking into your life, there's always going to be some pressure there (which is why I'm dreading health visitors!) big hugs to you.

Moon happy birthday! Sounds like a gorgeous weekend planned, hope you enjoy the retail therapy I too can't sleep without dh there -it's not silly! Hope you had a lovely snuggle last night

Iggy spa day- how fab! I should get one of those in before lo arrives dh and I are trying to get as many 'dates' as possible in before May!

Neeko sorry to hear things are hard at the mo thinking of you.

MLS sorry but that did make me giggle about your dd cheeky monkey.

4ever you've taken the mantle from barbie as our new mystic I see YAAAAY Gracie!! I got so excited reading your post. Hope you're back home now.

Curly loads of good thoughts and vibes going out to you too

Did anyone see that '8 boys and wanting a girl' show last night? Quite interesting, and a bit sad really. Got annoyed at that one woman who had 4 lovely healthy boys saying "I would liken not being able to have a girl, to not being able to have a child at all"- as if!

Joolsiam · 05/02/2010 09:51

How exciting for Gracie - wishing you a swift and relatively pain free experience oooh - maybe we will have 2 graduates today - is Curly delivering too ?

Neeko - thinking of you and hoping all is OK

4Ever - you may be weebling, but sound more at peace today, which is good

Barbie - isn't sickness supposed to be an early labour sign ?

Just got out of bed - have another horrendous cold (and daren't take anything for it just in case ) Hardly slept for coughing and spluttering and having to breathe through my mouth, so slept on (sitting up) this morning and am waiting for headache to go before I do a bit of work from home. No early testing here - I will be strong, and anyway, it is a baby day, not a POAS day

Happy birthday Moon - hope you have a cheerful, optimistic day that lays to rest some bad memories xxx

iggypiggy · 05/02/2010 09:45

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone

moon happy birthday for today!!

gg so exciting!!!!! Can't wait to hear some news!

vjay not sure I've said before but i teach horseriding to children in my spare time. Anyway - I have taught an autistic boy and he very much enjoyed it - although he did used to randomly get off and abandon his pony saying he had done enough riding thank you.

barbie I got a new charm for my charm bracelet and a spa day i have told quite alot of people - I think the news is filtering out slowly. Actually i just sent a message to a relative of mine to tell her cos she has had miscarriages and been ttc for years so i wanted her to know before she sees me again..

Neeko · 05/02/2010 09:34

Good Luck Gracie Hope it's quick and relatively pain free.

Hi to everyone else. i'll be back posting when I can.

4everhopeful · 05/02/2010 07:31

I knew it Gracie! Dare i go as far too say a poss little girl will be with u by this evening at the very latest! Please update us if poss?! Good luck honey! X x x x x ......Now whats happenin with Curly ? ......Mornin to Jools! .....Mls so lovely to hear ur confidence levels maintained by epu redeeming themselves! .....Barbie dont exert urself cleaning too much, its ur turn next! I predict by end of next wk seein as i borrowed ur mystic hat for a bit... Vjay sorry to hear the review was a struggle, must be so hard, u are superwoman indeed, remember that & pat urself on the back, i will find a link for the horseriding place that specialises in the autism treatment, it was a prog with jodie kidd & shamen healing, but a piece at the end about this place in the uk & it was so touching seeing the amazing beneficial effect on this boy, thought of u instantly, my dad had an autistic cousin in New zealand... Cupcake totally echo that you will just 'know' the right place, i did as soon as i walked in my hallway, nearly 9yrs ago! .....Iggy sorry belated birthday greetings lovely! ....Moon happy birthday to you today! Hope ur nicely snuggled with Df after yesterdays rotten memories... X ....Mermaid love hugs & to you sweet weebly lady x ..... Well gp was sweet but couldnt reassure re cord as hadnt even heard of it, like i said, she had to google it so wasnt even lookin for her input, she did say otherwise all looks good & stay positive etc etc, dont get me wrong, shes a sweetie, but we said before on here with recurrent mc, & oth complications we actually know more than gps/standard midwifes/nurses/sonographers etc, just one of those facts! We are the ones that endlessly research & have the varied bunch of specialist diagnosis to go on... The only one that can stop my weeblin is me, some days ill be ok, some i wont, i can deal with that, case of having too really! Rest of day was hectic, but lovely! Lo v active, sleepin now, unlike mum!

MummyLovesSadie · 05/02/2010 07:22

Barbie sorry I made you wait yesterday! I had intended to be outside Boots at 9.30 & then a quick dash back home but my dd had other plans! You'll soon find out that long gone are the days that you can just pick up your purse, keys & then off out the door - oh those were the days! Children definitely have a knack of knowing when you are in a rush & they do their best to make sure you are flustered & late when you leave the house. DD refused to come downstairs so I was like - ok I'll go downstairs & have breakfast on my own, she'll soon be calling out for me. Well she so wasn't bothered & when I went back upstairs she was bouncing on the bed in the spare room saying "Mummy where are the pants & socks". When I asked her what she was going on about she said "Down there" & she has posted all the clean pants & socks that were on the bed down into the dusty recess behind the headboard, gggrrrrrrrr!

No I haven't told dh the news yet & I don't have the slightest inclination to do so!!

How are you feeling now?

barbie1 · 05/02/2010 06:40

mls i waited and waited and waited for you to come back yesterday....then i had to give up and go food shopping and then i came over all sick and achy again....did lurk so saw the good news, glad you are feeling slightly better Thanks for the link re the bags, i will look into that this weekend. Have you told dh your news yet?

gg whooooooopppppiiiiiieeeeeeeee are you home/at hospital/ with child??? mrskate come and let us know if gg cant!

neeko i hope you are ok and that family stress isnt stressing you out too much. Take it easy my lovely

jools on your behalf re the bag....why why why cant such companies sort out the customer service? i do hope that you get your bag along with a nice bfp in the next couple of days

mermaid whats going on? i dont like to see you all i hope you too are taking it easy and will come back and let us help you/ calm you if and when needed, we miss you!

moon happy birthday!!!! Like i said in my earliler post, im sure its your last one minus child so make the most of being spoilt and the drinking! Hope dp is home and treating you to lots of nice things.

cupcake Yes lipbalm is a must and a fab excuse to wonder up to the lancome counter and pick a nice new sparkly one oh it it makes you look slightly more human in post labour pics As for the house, dont rush into anything...i moved at 35 weeks and i survived, even if you have to move after the birth im sure it will all work out ok...but good luck for the next few you look at, i have my fingers crossed.

4ever did the doctor reassure you that things are going to work out just fine? Hope you enjoyed the pizza!

curly Its friday!!! what are your plans

iggy what did you get for your birthday?? hope you had a fab day, have you told many people about the baby yet?

vjay big hugs for you, hope you are not too stressed out now? how is baby ajay? when is the christening???

blue smiling here thinking of you lying next to ben all snuggled and cute!

Who said about white babygrows? i too must be old fashioned as i dont really like all the colours and jeans etc. I have only brought white...babygrows, sleepsuits, cardis, socks etc and have expressed my wishes to everyone who wants to buy us something to do the same..i might put a very pale sun dress on a girl, or very pale blue on a boy but i really want to keep the baby in the baby stuff as long as possible...oh and its all easier to wash being the same colour (slummy mummy emotion!)

Last night was the first night i was really really uncomfortable, i even came down stairs to sleep...my tummy felt really hard and hurt soooo much around my ribs...still feeling sick

I hope like gg i dont have to go too far over my due date

Anyways dh is home today, its the weekend so i had better give him some of my attention...massive sand storm yesterday so we have a bit of clearing up to do first...the joys of living in a huge sand pit!

Love b x

MummyLovesSadie · 05/02/2010 06:39

! Go Gracie push girl!

GracieGirl · 05/02/2010 04:45

mystic 4ever you are a genius!

Waters broke at 3:20am, 20 minute contractions since. rang hospital, they want to chck me over so off i go. hopefully back home shortly to labour in peace at home.

MrsKate if you read this you need to pretend you don't know in real life. thanks!

MummyLovesSadie · 04/02/2010 22:16

Moon you so deserve it to be your turn next. I'm sure that by next years sad anniversary you'll be thinking of it whilst bouncing your new bubba on your lap. Hopefully you are snuggled up with your df right now.

Cupcake I agree with Moon, you'll know your ideal place as soon as you set eyes on it, no compromise.

Gracie, any more contractions this evening? Most woman go into labour at night, I did. I had lots of random af type pains during the day, went to bed & at 11pm started getting regular contractions. Went to hospital at 7am, dd came along at 2.20 in the afternoon.... easy !

Jools are you not even a teeny tiny bit tempted to test??

Vjay have a big hug from me.

Mermaid glad you checked in, come back & tell us more about what is going on with you when you are ready.

Iggy enjoy what is left of your birthday - this will be the last one with just the two of you!

Curly are you going in tomorrow?

Barbie here is something that you should add to your list. They are a must if you are planning on expressing.

4ever how did your gp appointment go?

Just to let you all know that Neeko is with us lurk-wise but has a lot of family stresses at the moment so can't post for a few days.

My scan is booked for the 25th which is the day before dh comes back from business in the States. I was seen by a lovely nurse who wanted to know all about my acupuncture so that has canceled out my bad experience on the phone. My boobs are pleasingly sore tonight & my cb digi will arrive at 9am tomorrow with my Sainsburys delivery so all-in-all things are looking calm & wobble free.
