Hi lovely ladies.

1st of all a for Monkey. I know that this is very hard and confusing for you now but the lo will help you so much in the forthcoming months and has someone extra special looking after him/her too. Take care and know we're here for you.

LBM DON'T READ THIS! Blue glad you're all caught up. Thought it was a great start to the series but that a certain person might have fought more. By the time this series ends I'll be a mum of two - eek! I'll just have to text you in future to discuss plot lines.

LBM sorry! Hope you get the DVDs soon. I'm feeling the need to try the west wing now as I've never seen it and can hear Blue and Cupcake's gasps of from here.

Cupcake Glad to hear you're sorted and getting some relief. Can we have a pic of theblanket when it's finished. I plan to start knitting when I stop work and marking.

MLS Loving the wise words. Totally not ignoring your emails. It's been a very busy week but I'll reply tomorrow. I'll text you straight after the scan and you could maybe post for me?

4ever squeezing your hand tight lovely and praying all will be fine for us both. Tiny steps and deep breaths.

Barbie gold star on being Mrs Organised. As for your other claims, I give you 6 weeks and you'll be wanting to talk baby poo too. I thought it would NEVER happen to me. Just wait and see

VJay Have you opened a book yet?

Scamper Glad you found us again and very glad your not who MLS thought. While I hope to meet up with all these lovely ladies one day, I'd hate to have RL foisted upon me on here. Plus MLS can really make us laugh wwith her RL scenarios at times and I'd hate that to stop.

Jools Yay for ovulation and the 2ww. Have everything crossed that this is your month and you'll soon be keeping Monkey and a few others company on the medium pants bench.

Moon Huge hug from me too. What you're describing sounds perfectly normal. You're starting to heal so you forget or feel the pain less for a while, then you rememeber, feel guilty and want to tear your own arm off to beat yourself with. You're doing fine and will move on. I promise.

Hi Iggy Hope you're coping ok.

Mermaid You've been very quiet. Are you ok?

I've had a very busy weekend but have scored another few things off my list. I ordered a new buggy yesterday and bought new curtains (very slovenly compared to Barbie and LBM() for our bedroom so the ones we had can go into baby's room.
We took DD to see Toy Story 2 in 3D today. it was her 1st time at the cinema and she loved it.
I have my scan to check the baby's kidney at 10.30 tomorrow. Feeling a bit wobbly about it all so positive thoughts please.
I went to church this morning for the 1st time in ages. After I got over the relief that the roof didn't fall on me I said a little prayer for you all. One of the hyms talked about God looking after unborn children and I took that as a sign for us all.

Hi to everyone else that I missed. Hope you're safe and happy.

VJay · 24/01/2010 21:06

evening all - cupcake yay to a better nights sleep and bargain pillow!

4ever - I know you are really down but your nightmare month is nearly over.. Just another week and by next January you'll have your little one to make it all better. Scan will be fine - you are due good not more bad luck. And I've been wobbling all week as LO was a bit quiet but better today - we all have our moments!

MLS Sorry, I forgot you yesterday! Hope you are well under the wise words you are dishing out. Is it going to be a long 2ww this month?

Got to go - unfortunatly, my curtain making isn't as fast as barbies and so, I still need to finish them!!

cupcakefairy · 24/01/2010 20:19

Evening lovelies. Just want to give you all chocolate and hug you, makes me so sad to think of what some of you are going through/have been through. MLS such wise wors about your pregnancy bringing joy after such a hard time, really hope that will be true for monkey too. And as Moon says I cannot for the life of me imagine losing either of my sisters, you're so brave.
Thanks so much for heat patch tip too, will try those if my other remedies don't work soon! Got the dream genii (massive bargain which dh and I still grinning about...£20 and it had the special cherry cover ) much better night's sleep last night, and got my gym ball today so have been knitting my blanket while bouncing away on it- lovely!

4ever glad you've surfaced for a moment.. big hand holds and hairtrokes for Tues and I'm sure all will be just fine.

LBM I'm gonna get on the case thinking of J names for you...I love names As an aside- EVERYONE seems to be using Grace as a middle name right now, we know at least 6 in the last few months weird how trends happen!

4everhopeful · 24/01/2010 17:36

Thanks mls for wise words, i am crapping myself about scan on tues since scare last sat tho & have overwhelming panic theyll find something wrong with baby or that my cervix is open & im leaking fluid.. I like what u said to monkey too, i feel an affinity with u losing ur sis as iv lost my bro & its the hardest thing losing a sibling, tho i was also in tears reading monkeys post & constantly sad i never got to make my dad a grandad.. Life can be just crap .....Moon also feelin ur pain, my 3rd lost baby should of been one on friday & next sat its a year since the 4th & last mc too.. Feels very surreal & am scared im due some bad luck again Sorry for melancholy post, did explain last night why iv been so low & stayed away, dont wanna bring things down, auntys funeral on weds prob accelarated it all (did go to wake, v sad) but as i said at beg of month i hate jan for many reasons...

barbie1 · 24/01/2010 16:39

moon im sorry about you enduring a bad anniversary date but please please be easy on yourself, the fact that you have been so happy with dp is all part of the healing process and its normal not to think of the lost lo so often, even though this feels bad to us, like some how we are forgetting or moving on without them. This is perfectly normal, i remember the day i woke up and didnt think about my lost lo until i got home from work, i was horrified at myself for forgetting so easierly...its natural and im sure that massive hole you feel you have in your heart is just waiting to be filled with the love for a new lo, and im positive it will happen soon. Dont fight your body, it is healing and mending itself, go with the flow and see what happens.

Hope this some how makes sense??

BlueMoon1981 · 24/01/2010 16:23

wow monkey congratulations, although of course i realise you have other important things to focus on too, like the other girls have already said, just take it one step at a time and we are here whenever you need us.

mls im so sad to hear about your sister, it makes you realise that everyone always has other horrible stuff going on in rl as well as what we have all been through. i have had my fair share of crap over the last few yrs, but it can be hard to know what other people are going through too. i love my sister to bits and i couldnt imagine having to live my life without her, you are so brave mls.

i cried last night for the first time in over a month, today is exactly a yr from when i started bleeding with my 1st lost lo. i cant really put into words what i feel, dont even know what im trying to say, just typing it all out. i think i feel even more sad because ive been so happy since dp asked me to marry him, and i feel like ive neglected my 2 lost los for a while, even though i think about them probably every minute of every day. wish it didnt hurt so much. after my 2nd mc, it felt like my heart was broken and needed putting back together like a jigsaw. now its like ive managed to botch most of it together even if the pieces dont quite fit, but i still have a massive gaping hole in the middle

barbie1 · 24/01/2010 16:22

jools what a lovely post, i like the whole circle of life thought

As for you young lady, enjoy the sauna...relaxing wont do you any harm at all. Just dont get to the stage where you are dehydrated and passing out! For starters its not a good look!

Lets hope it feel is your lucky side the you ovulate from this month, i have every crossed for you!

mls i laughed at you being a prude imagen if we all did ever meet up, would we be able to look one another in the eye without remembering something embarassing we had written....I bought 2 night dresses, just in case one gets dirty. Then after i will will be returning to the uniform of choice for a slummy mummy, trackie bottoms and t shirt!

For some reason i had the urge to call the hospital today, just to check things over and thank goodness i did i told them the doctor i was planning to use would no longer be avalible to deliver as she has left dubai so i would be using an onsight doctor, i was then told that i could only do so if i have been having my ante natal appt there with them!!!! i have managed to get around having my last two appt there so i have to go on tues.....

Anyways hope you all had a good weekend, im off to eat, im starving!!!

Joolsiam · 24/01/2010 11:27

Hi Monkey I hope the news is sinking in and things seem brighter today.

It would help me in your position to think of the circle of life - one life starts as another ends and the best and most precious parts of your mum will be part of your precious cargo. Your emotions must be in overload - just take things slow and don't bottle anything up x x x

Ovulating today from my "lucky" side - ie I've only ever had a BFP when I can feel ovulation .... Aching and walking funny today after my evil sadistic instructor really put us through it in legs bums and tums yesterday ! I have to be in Bridgend for a 9am meeting, so am packing to travel up tonight - will leave a bit earlier so I have time to us the sauna in the hotel and ease those tired muscles ... (or would you - on day 1 of the two week wait ??)

I think one of my cats is trying to prepare me for motherhood - gotta run to clear up sick and diarrhea - yuk. Back later

VJay · 24/01/2010 10:58

hi just checking up on monkey hope you are ok sweetie

Gotta go Ajay is calling xx

OP posts:
MummyLovesSadie · 23/01/2010 21:23

Sorry 4ever x post. Of course you will be nervous about your scan. Try to think how far you have come rather than how far you have to go.

MummyLovesSadie · 23/01/2010 21:19

4ever you are back, how are you? I hope you are snuggled up in your cotton wool suit.

Jools it's such a relief when you manage just one successful bd huh? I have discovered something else that really does work (better than the other stuff I told you about) but what with your dp having epilepsy it might not be a good option for you. I hope you will soon be joining me on the 2ww.

Cupcake what about something like this for your back pain? I think this is where I got my ball from, it's super cheap & you really do need the hand pump as you'll have it inflated in next-to-no time (it's great for blowing up balloons too)!

Lion hope the wedding was tantrum-free for you.

Blue I wish my piles had disappeared after delivery but no, they are still here two years on!

Barbie did you buy a nightie for the birth & a nightie for when you are cleaned up? Some of my friends gave birth starkers & said they didn't care. I however, am a prude & not only wore a nightie but a support bra too..... well I didn't want my 36E's swinging round like udders did I???!

Neeko so glad your friends little boy is doing well, I bet he is still tiny though. I'm sure you will be a tower of strength for her (just like you have been for me) when he finally comes home & the reality hits her that this tiny little life is now solely dependent on her.

Moon please let us know you are ok.

Same with you BQ

We test-drove a couple of cars today. I really wanted the Ford Kuga & dh really wanted the Peugeot 3008. After we dove both of them I think we are going to go for the Peugeot - right well that's the family car sorted out, now all we need is the baby!

Big Saturday night waves to you all.

Monkey crying tears of joy for u lovely lady.. Your mum is surely looking down & will be giving u the strength u need.. Its a wonderful blessing sweetie x x x x x

littlebellsmum · 23/01/2010 19:49

Hello lovely ladies!

monkey Congratulations on the BFP, it is wonderful news but probably not what you need at the moment. Hope things are going as well as they can at home

Neeko and blue - please stop with all the Greys talk. I loooooove Greys Anatonmy and am gutted that it is no longer on Five. When we moved house, we had to get a freeview dish just so that I could get Greys!. And to add insult to injury, they have just started advertising that the new series in on Living... But, there is a silver lining, I have just discovered that you can rent them on lovefilm.com and so, I will be taking up the offer of the free subscription!!
blue I hope you have done the baby announcements now!

Barbie very impressive! Have you had your hair done and any beauty treatments you want? I had a pedicure done before dd was born as it was so hot and my feet were horrible and unreachable! Also, on the day that I had finished all my pre baby jobs, I went and bought some material to cover some cushions for the garden. 6 years later, the covers are still not done as DD arrived the next day!

Scamper Hello - I also arrived after you had gone. Congratulations on your DD- I also love the name Genna/ Jenna and it would be on the list for my LO but it's a bit too close to my own name. You will learn that we have a J theme going in our family and I have about 17 weeks to think of a girls name begining with J!

cupcake your back sounds awful - hope the pillow helps. I don't think it's much different anywhere with mw appts. My 16 week was 17 weeks as she was so busy at 16 weeks and being a very paid back third time mum, I just waited another week. The downside of being a laid back third timer is that I also don't get another appt untill 28 weeks, which is a very long time away and LO has been a bit quiet recently - I really wanted to borrow 4evers doppler for reassurance!

vjay like all the others, I am in awe of your level of focus. Trying to do anything with tiny baby is an achievement, never mind studying!

lion Hope the wedding went well and you fight with the dress worked. I so was not going to dress my daughter in pink but now, she wears nothing else! Maybe I'll have better luck second time round!

jools Lets hope the suprise seduction worked - how you managed it after three gym classes, I don't know. I do note how you didn't mention you , ahem, "other" exercise on face book

Hope that gracie and curly have some news for us soon and it must be time for more bfps now that Monkey has started the trend.

MummyLovesSadie · 23/01/2010 18:56

Firstly Monkey I can 100% identify with what you are going through right now. In January 2007 my sister suddenly died, four days later I found out I was pregnant with dd. I didn't know whether to grieve of be elated. Every time & felt happy to be pregnant I then felt guilty to be feeling happy. It's such a contradiction of two emotions that are polar opposites that it makes you feel like you have been physically & emotionally run over by a truck. My sister's son is now close to my dd as I think he feels an affinity with her & he (quite rightly) feels that a little bit of his mum went into making his cousin. I always think of my dd as my little miracle as even though she was no bigger than an apple pip, she brought hope & happiness to those all around her where all there had been was sadness & grief. Maybe when the shock has sank in a bit for you you might feel the same way?

Secondly, Scamper I'm SO glad you are not the person I thought you were! It's most bizarre though as I know someone who's name begins with T who had a daughter called Genevieve last Sept after a previous mc. I'm sure her husband isn't called Quentin though!

Bedtime for dd, will be back later lovely ladies.

VJay · 23/01/2010 18:09

monkey start taking folic acid at least then maybe ring the mc clinic explain what's going on and ask what you should do next and stop apologising about not reading all the posts!!!!! Take it as easy as you can xxxxx

OP posts:
monkeybumsmum · 23/01/2010 17:56

Thanks for being so lovely you three. I found out yesterday and just went into complete shock and was hysterical. Cannot imagine how on earth I'm going to do it without mum being around. It's bad enough thinking about how ds will never get to know her properly and will probably not even remember her much, but it breaks my heart to think that we might have a baby that she'll never meet.
Also, I know I'm supposed to be reporting to the recurrent mc clinic straight away and I won't get there until I'm 6 weeks (if I get that far) Haven't a clue whether I should be taking anything, am just so confused.

So sorry again for the lack of responding to other posts. I feel like I've been thrust into some kind of parallel universe that I can't escape from

cupcakefairy · 23/01/2010 17:41

EEEP monkey, congratulations - yay that the small panters party worked for you last month! But as others have said, must feel very bittersweet and confusing so glad you did decide to post though instead of staying away...just know you can say whatever you want here!

Seeing bq's name on that list reminds me we haven't seen her for a while either...hope you're ok lovely x

barbie1 · 23/01/2010 17:14

Monkey congratulations, slightly bitter sweet i can imagen but also for you

Take it easy and come back when you are ready or want to talk xxx

VJay · 23/01/2010 15:59

oh monkey what a lot to have to try and cope with, we are here to try and help you . Firstly, congratulations on your BFP, that really is wonderful news for you and your dh .
Secondly, I'm so sorry about your mum. It must be such an incredibly confusing time for you right now and I imagine your hormones aren't helping one bit. You're not going mad but I imagine this is all messing with your head a bit. i am thinking of you and am here for a while if you want to talk xxx

Here's a bfp vjay As you can imagine I am in complete shock and can't stop crying considering the circumstances. Wasn't going to come back onto MN yet but just feel I cannot cope with all this at the moment.

So sorry for not having read through any previous posts, but will try to catch up. We have a steady stream of visitors at the mo, so finding time is not easy. I feel like I'm going mad...
