And btw the burns emoticons are coming up as father christmases on my screen! Weird!

cupcakefairy · 25/01/2010 13:51

Hi girls.
Neeko so sorry it wasn't more reassuring news for you today, hope you're ok. And yes you have every right to wobble because it is a big deal. Big hugs to you.

MLS and Barbie I hope it is the Mama Mio as I'm using that although I have noticed little stretch marks starting to form under my boobs...boo! My Mum has loads so I will probably end up covered in them.

Moon massive hugs to you today. Please don't feel guilty; it's only natural to think less about traumatic things as time goes on and your los will never be forgotten.

Monkey how are you feeling today?

I've given myself a sick note for today and tomorrow. Lay awake for around 4 hours straight last night and even taking painkillers didn't help get back to sleep. So miserable, I cried on dh again this morning. Have been to doctor who was pretty useless (started looking up in a book whether I was allowed to take ibuprofen ) but he did say he would refer me to physio. Everyone says the second trimester is supposed to be the best time when you feel great but I feel crap
Sorry to moan...

Neeko · 25/01/2010 13:23

Thanks Vjay Love the fact that you all understand and don't expect me just to say 'Oh well' and get on with it. I know it's not a big thing and not life-threatening but it's still my much wanted and longed for lo and today it feels like a big thing to me.

VJay · 25/01/2010 13:17

neeko you are allowed to wobble with the news you've had today, I would be if it were me, then you lot would be telling me it will all be fine , wobble away sweetie

Neeko · 25/01/2010 13:07

MLS I'm carrying very differently than I did with DD, that's all. I'm not technical enough to put up a bump pic

Vjay I know. I know and i'll be fine again tomorrow. Just wobbling a bit today. Nice to hear that Ajay is growing well. Veggie haggis for me tonight since I can't have the real stuff. It's still yummy though/

MummyLovesSadie · 25/01/2010 12:59

Can I just add that I wasn't putting Mama Mio stretch mark cream on my actual fanjo

MummyLovesSadie · 25/01/2010 12:55

Vjay that is just like my dd, when she was born she was on about the 8th percentile weight-wise & 90-odd with her height! She looks like a three year old now even though she is only two! Enjoy your haggis !

Barbie maybe our stretchy & smooth skin is all down to Mama Mio??!

VJay · 25/01/2010 12:44

Hiya,
neeko sorry you are sounding so dissapointed, but if they aren't too worried then I'm sure it will be fine. I expect you're worried incase they have to operate though, fingers crossed they don't

barbie you can study with the open U overseas, but I think it costs quite a bit more.
As for stretch marks I am very of you and mls, I have loads and tore both times, no was cut first time and tore badly this time, I'm just not as stretchy as you too .

mls I love haggis and will be having some tonight, yummy

Just had my lovely post natal swim, Ajay loved it when it was his turn.
Forgot to say, he was weighed on Friday and came in at 16lbs 14oz, so he has slowed down now and is nearing the 50th percentile, but his height is on the 90th!, so tall and skinny

Neeko I'm sure nothing anyone can say will make you not worry about the pelvic dilation but thank goodness there are no major problems. At least he(!) is formed correctly & everything internally is in the right place. What makes you think you are having a boy?

MummyLovesSadie · 25/01/2010 11:57

Dear mnhq, please could we have some hats for our biscuits?

Thank you

Neeko · 25/01/2010 11:46

don't know where the h came from in my and you'll just have to imagine a hat on my !

Neeko · 25/01/2010 11:41

Hi all. A bit disappointed at the fact that baby's kidney hasn't changed, especially as the sonographer was the mum of one of the boys I teach - that should at least give her healing powers! [hwink] The baby has a mild case of renal pelvic dilation which may sort itself out or may result in an op after the baby is born. It's more common in boys than girls (which fits in with our hunch that we're having a boy) and there's nothing we can do but wait and see.
Glad baby is facing the right way though as I was convinced it was transverse and have a real phobia about a c-section after being in the OR for the ERPC last year. As for the weight - all I can say is [bbiscuit]

barbie1 · 25/01/2010 11:37

mls thats what i was told too i think i believe it apart from the hat thing until last year

Sorry to hear yet another sad anniversary for you tomorrow, are you doing anything special?

Come on neeko bump pic.....

MummyLovesSadie · 25/01/2010 11:28

Barbie when I was little my Dad told me a haggis was a creature that had skinny legs & ran across the heather covered moors with a tartan hat on & I believed him!

Neeko's baby was showing to have a small problem with it's kidneys at her last scan but they weren't particularly worried about it as apparently it's a problem that usually sorts itself out.

MummyLovesSadie · 25/01/2010 11:24

Barbie it is very interesting what you said about not having stretch marks being linked to not tearing - I've never heard of that before. I didn't get a single stretch mark with dd & also didn't tear with the birth. Yes, I suppose it makes sense that if you have stretchy skin on your tummy, it will be stretchy else where too!

Neeko Come back quickly & tell us all about the scan. I think you should add a bump pic to your profile, what about the pic you texted me last week?

Vjay you certainly sound like superwoman to me!

LBM I actually only have a few more days left of the 2ww!

Moon my heart aches for you. You and I both know what will mend that gaping hole in your heart & I'm sure this will be your year.

4ever you are not due bad luck. With all the shit you have been through in the last couple of years you are due good luck for a very long time.

Cupcake how is your back today?

Thanks for all of your lovely words about my sister. It is actually three years tomorrow since she died.

barbie1 · 25/01/2010 11:20

Thanls for the update MLs what is with the kidneys did i miss something?

boak at the haggis, never have tried is....especially as i always believed it was an uneven legged animal!

MummyLovesSadie · 25/01/2010 11:10

Loving the burns smilies. Quite appropriate as dh made haggis, neeps & tatties last night. Sorry to all the lovely ladies from Scotland but honestly it was like a bushtucker trial! I promised him I'd try the haggis, it took me ages to psych myself up, I put a tiny morsel in my mouth & left the rest - all I can say is boak! I had the last laugh though as he spent half an hour on the toilet this morning & came out looking rather green, well that's what you get for eating innards!

MummyLovesSadie · 25/01/2010 11:06

Just had a message from Neeko that the baby's kidney is just the same & they will monitor it after the birth. It is in the right position & is approx 5lb!

barbie1 · 25/01/2010 07:59

curtains arent finished to quite a high standard...whoops

barbie1 · 25/01/2010 07:57

neeko all the best for your scan today...will you get the result straight away? Im sure all will be rosy..and then you can get back to hanging the new curtains with peace of mind! I have one more pair to alter and then im done....which means all i have to do it sit pool side for the next few weeks.

4ever lovely lady...only a few days left of jan and then another month to tick off....im rooting for your scan on tues, again all will be fine with lo. What time is your appt? i have to go to hospital at 2.30 but should be back to read the good news....

Post us a link when you find the christening outfit of choice...

lbm im sure the curtains are finished to quiet as high standard as yours...i plan to get my mum to make a few major minor adjustments when she comes over...How many weeks are you now?

Hello to everyone else, im just back from the doctors but wanted to post before neeko went to the doctors....

My new midwife was fab, listened the heart beat which was spot on target, measured my bump for the first time in all 36 weeks and told me its measuring 35cm she said to expect a small baby about 6-7lb and that i have very good skin as i have no stretch marks so she has high hopes that my perinuim will stretch nicely i could of kissed her.....you watch, ill have a 9lber, 3 degree tear and enough stretch marks to make a map out off!
The head is engaged and we are ready to go....Oh and my due date is now the 18th, we changed after she read my history and lack of af before.

Back soon x

4everhopeful · 25/01/2010 05:38

Neeko · 24/01/2010 21:44

Hi Vjay and thanks. I'll text a few people after the scan and hopefully one of them will post.
When are you getting Ajay christened? Ilove a christening. There's a great shop nera me for outfits but about a 6 hour drive for you.

I've just noticed the Burns emoticons and my favourite [bbiscuit]
