curly I can't believe you 've read the whole thread 0 that must have taken commitment!! Glad that things are better and that by next Friday, you'll be a mummy

Barbie Agree with the others - phone the midwife to check. With dd I had really itchy feet that woke me up in the night. I never realsied it would be a bad sign untill later! This time, I have a really itchy belly - but this isn't apparently bad. Hands and feet could be

Can't stop - need to sleep! Night night

Sabs1981 · 28/01/2010 23:39

Nice to see you back curly

CurlyBigPants · 28/01/2010 23:35

Hey girls. Sorry I have been away so long I have been thinking of you all but haven't even lurked for a while as we had a real scare and the last couple of weeks have been awful. After various scans, yet more tests, far too much googling from me and totally contradictory opinions from doctors, we were getting really worried about the baby. Anyway, we are a lot more relaxed now, they are monitoring things and all going well curlygirl will be popping out to say hello a little early just one week from today Thanks so much neeko, mermaid and cupcake for your texts and to everyone who posted xxx

It sounds like it's been a weebly time for lots of people but also some lovely news Congrats Monkey I saw you on the medium pants list and was so happy for you but then saw about your mum. I'm so sorry honey, it must be so hard right now. big hugs xxx

Lovely small panters it has to be good news for all of you next. January is hard enough, I just wish that this year would hurry up and start getting good for you all

moon I'm so sad for you a year after you lost your first little one I had very little to remind me of my babies too. No pregnancy tests, just one scan picture (to confirm my second MMC). The day I had the scan and found out that my lo had died, I had seen these two paintings that formed one beautiful picture of a seascape. So we ended up buying them and every time I see them on the wall I think of my lost angels. I feel guilty being happy now sometimes. Hope you are not too lonely without DP this week Sorry about the evil witch arriving but hang on in there in work - it will be worth it when you get up the duff which will be very soon honey xxx

mls the acupuncture sounds amazing. I have heard so many good things about it Sounds like it has been hard but has done you good. I'll be thinking of you on your edd next week honey. big hugs and keep us posted on news (12 dpo??). So nice to think you are smiling again xxx

jools I am picturing superwoman you go to the gym and still have energy to seduce DP I'm so smiling at hearing your positive self. Things are going to change for you soon xxx

Buddha hope DS's reflux problems have improved. Could an osteopath help? Though I may be gettin confused between reflux and colic

lbm Have a look at the NICE guidelines for antenatal care. I think they recommend 39 weeks minimum as the baby has a much better chance of not needing care in the nicu. Yay for it being a girl and for being in Paris

4ever you poor weebler. It sounds like it has been a horrible worrying couple of weeks for you We are going to have to build a nest made of cotton wool for you. Your little one will be fine just hang in there for a few more weeks and then it will get easier to believe. I hope you are feeling a bit more reassured now but I totally understand where you are coming from. I'm sending you the most massive hug and hope you are taking it easy honey xxx

blue I'm still laughing at your sound of music medley I think DH might divorce me if I resorted to such tactics

mermaid glad your AF is done with. When are you seeing the doctors about the fibroids? It must still be so raw for you. I hope you are doing okay brave lady xxx

neeko I still haven't packed my bag yet. I think I need you over here to sort me out. The cot finally arrived at least so we can put that up I'm so happy and sad for your friends with the premature baby. I hope they have him home really soon. Hope you are not worrying too much about the kidneys it is such a rollercoaster isn't it? Stay away from google though (says the girl who can't )

vjay a weekend away in Edinburgh sounds amazing. I can't believe Ajay will be six months by then I've only been to Scotland twice and both were work trips in the random end of nowhere. We are thinking of doing a road trip of a Scotland when the baby is a little older - it always looks so beautiful (on location location anyway )

barbie are you all settled into the new villa? I had a total melt at the thought of you in the nursery lol at your baby hiding her big bum - must be a girl Is the itching just around your belly? Ring the midwife especially if you are getting itchy hands and feet. Try not to worry tho.

lovely cupcake is it definitely sciatica? I've had really bad spd and it sounds quite similar - apparently it is often misdiagnosed as sciatica. Does it get worse if you try and walk it off, or turn in bed. Mine was mainly in my hips but also sometimes my back. Your gp should be able to refer you to a physio. Also if it by any chance is spd, keeping your legs together when you move in or out of bed, and clenching every muscle around your bum / pelvis also really helps - like a natural support belt. Also try not to put feet up or slouch on couch. Good news is that mine got a lot better and is now controllable. Don't worry we'll find another name for you How about Luca?

sabs the baby massage class sounds lovely. I'm going to try and find one locally and will definitely do mum and baby pilates too

lion so nice to see you back. Give that lovely little boy a big kiss from all of us. Total heart melt at his big sis entertaining him and making him giggle

iggy The bra thing can get kinda expensive. I found I was buying new ones every 3 weeks in the beginning. Then when my bump started growing I moved into the big mama ( . )( . ) territory. Can't wait to wear pretty underwear again though it will be a while I totally know where you are coming from with being uncomfortable about telling people about the pregnancy. It's so hard to be normal pregnant after what we've been through.

Anyone heard from baking or ginger recently?

Big hugs to gracie won't be long now

mrskate roll on the next three weeks. It will fly, believe me

annie big hugs to you. Hope you got through the anniversary this week ok Big hugs to Ellis xxx

Where is MM. Hope you are ok lovely?

And finally scamper my lovely neighbour how excited am I to see you back I was so worried that something had gone wrong and have thought about you many times. Congratulations on scampergirl. That is such wonderful news. Now don't go disappearing again!!

Gosh I'm knackered. It has taken me all day to read through the last two weeks but I'm so glad to be back. curlygirl is moving around again as she likes to at this hour. I so can't wait to meet her

Big hugs and lots of love to you all xxx

Neeko · 28/01/2010 21:09

hi Jools well done for trying to stay zen like

Joolsiam · 28/01/2010 21:03

Evening all

Well, still no bag as the delivery from Luton station hadn't arrived - apparently all lost property is sealed up in a big bag and sent to this centre. He has given me his office number to call and I will try again next week. In the mean time, I only have one outfit for work and no shoes !!

MLS - a gold star for knowing where I am on the 2WW Although it seems like ages, its only 4DPO today. I think the cramps yesterday may have been related to IBS / constipation, but they came back again today, so who knows {need a shoulder shrug emoticon} Am trying to stay zen like and non-obsessed, although that usually only lasts until around 8DPO !!

Hi to Moon too - at least a short cycle means you can get on with the serious business of baby making all the quicker

Neeko · 28/01/2010 21:02

Hi.
Pamela was my adopted name of choice and I knew no one else with my actual name so how common it is counts for nothing.

Moon Sorry AF got you but glad your cycle length is returning as that has to be a good thing. Don't weeble on your own too long honey. It's good to get it all out and we're all ears and hugs.

MLS i'm holding my breath

Cupcake like the name talk. Think we're sorted for a boy but haven't a clue for a girl. Anything I like DH doesn't and vice versa. Plan on doing a name thread in 3 weeks when I can obsessively watch it!

Iggy Glad you got/like the Royce bras. after the fisrt lot I started buying the feeding ones as I feel I spent a fortune on mat bras on the way up and feeding bras on the way back down. Just something to think about.

4ever Are you ok? Don't want to plague you with texts.

Jools Did you get the bag back. Clearly Grey's is not good for your memory! new episode on tonight sorry LBM Barbie think the baby's just bedding down.

hi to everyone else.

BlueMoon1981 · 28/01/2010 20:37

lol @ mls we used to pretend we were french too! funny what you get up to in the playground. and i always wanted to be called flora for some bizarre reason when i was younger, thank goodness no one listened to me!

cd1 for me again back to a short cycle now, cant predict anything anymore, although i am glad in a way as i've been so stupidly tired this week i thought something was wrong with me, i think i'm just having a bad af instead.

hi to everyone and sorry for no individual posts, still struggling a little but as always keeping an eye on you all.

MummyLovesSadie · 28/01/2010 20:09

When I was at school we all used to adopt male sounding names e.g Mickey, Charlie..... I guess whatever name we call our lo's & however many hours we spend pondering every little nuance, they will all want to be called something else!

Oh also when we went to the park we would all speak gobbledigook & pretend we were French!

cupcakefairy · 28/01/2010 19:10

barbie Isaac is a possibility for us, and also Isaiah as a slightly more whacky variation as we know a few Isaacs. Really like Noah but it's my bf's absolute favourite so couldn't steal it from her Yeah we have similar problems in that nothing seems to go with surname! Hope the itching eases douse yourself in mama mio

iggy I used to pretend my middle name was my actual name for the same reason as you there were so many of my name in my year at school! Although I do like my first name now.

iggypiggy · 28/01/2010 16:29

MLS - I used to pretend that my name was your DDs name when I was a teenager.. as it is a more interesting version of my name - which I hated cos everyone was called it

cupcake hope you find a good name We have already spoken about names, but is all very confusing...

jools hope you get the bag back!

barbie1 · 28/01/2010 16:20

arggghhhhh i feel wierd!
Aggitated, uncomfortable and itchy..... just googled itchy skin and it said something about liver problems??? Anyway stepping from google and having just had a shower feeling slightly better...

i really do hope that jools got her bag back??

mls testing in a day or so??? fingers and everything else crossed

cupcake i love names like issac, ethan, noah...etc etc. I know how hard boys are, especially with a hard surname like mine!

MummyLovesSadie · 28/01/2010 14:31

Cupcake if its a symptom it's not an early one as I'm testing in a day or so !!

cupcakefairy · 28/01/2010 14:24

Not necessarily one syllable no. It's funny I always said no to one syllable at first cos our surname is one syllable.. then I realised dh and I both have one syllable names, as do loads of his family and it works fine!

For the record, I adore your dd's name, beautiful Sorry about the cold but here's hoping it's an early symptom! I got cold/sore throat v early with both my BFPs

MummyLovesSadie · 28/01/2010 14:08

It's quiet here today - has everyone started their weekends early?

Jools I really hope you got your bag back. Your heart must have sunk into your boots when the train pulled away & you realised what you'd done. That website always has cramps right near the top of the list so that is a very promising symptom you have there! Do you have about one & a half weeks of the 2ww left?

Neeko I really think you should make a copy of the heartbeat before you accidentally record over it! Three weeks, yay! I bet it feels like you are having a really long & exciting holiday but with something extra extra special happening at the beginning of it!

Cupcake are you looking for names of one syllable? I think I get the type of name you are after so I'll go back to my book later & have another look - I can't seem to get my nose out of it now I've started!

Barbie very interested to know what your boys name is..... Hugo, Harry??! I don't expect you to tell me, I don't tell anyone what my two names are as you always get somebody telling you something you don't want to hear & then it puts you off the name! I'm trying to find a middle name to go with the girls first name I like & I think I need something short like my dd's middle name. Her first name (as well as being a derivative of my late sister Sara) means 'princess' & her middle name is Bea which means 'bringer of happiness'.

Not much to report except I'm sooooooo tired & run down as the cold dd gave me seems do have developed into a proper nasty bug. I woke up at quarter to two this morning, aching & shivering. Eventually I went downstairs to hunt for some paracetamol (usually take Nurofen but didn't want to just in case ) & I didn't get back to sleep until after 4.30 & then dh's alarm went off at 6.

cupcakefairy · 28/01/2010 13:10

Lol MLS that would be so funny. There was a boy at my school called Jesus...pronounced 'hay-susse' cos they were Spanish but still, everyone called him Jesus and not in a nice way bless him.

Barbie- not necessarily J names, just things that are similar to Jude ie classic (cos it's biblical) but still 'cool', not too common, not too unusual..that kind of thing. Dh and I made a proper list last night though which was quite exciting so lots to think about. We've definitely decided on a girls name though, and have 2 backups incase she doesn't 'look' like that name fab that you've decided on yours too
Speaking of J names, LBM what about Juliet/Juliette for your dd, I think it's so pretty...still trying to think of more though!

Jools hope you get your bag back! Nightmare. But yay for maybe-symptoms

Neeko yes I will show you the blanket when done, though it's really not very impressive!

I'm off to have coffee with my old colleagues tomorrow...sure I'll get lots of 'you're massive!' comments

Neeko · 28/01/2010 12:22

Hi all. Just popping on to check you're all ok. Can't believe my midwife did that yesterday as she's known as a bit of a battleaxe but I love her now Have been playing it to lots of people

I stop 3 weeks tomorrow and have so much to do so better get it done!

barbie1 · 28/01/2010 08:13

Welcome back mls!!!! glad you didnt stay away too long...Your treatment sounds so interesting that im off to get some information into it all, alternitive medicine is something i have always wanted to get into, so who knows i might just start home studying for a while...and with my beauty therapy background im already half way there. You seem so much brighter...your jesus comment made me snort with laughter, to which dh looked at me like this

cupcake i still love ralph too....however Dh and i have finally agreed on a boy's name, we even shuck hands on it so it's offical
I was going to post on your other thread too, havent had time to cach up on it but are you still thinking names beginning with J?

jools i do hope you get your bag back although i did giggle at the reason you forgot it, maybe it's a case of early baby brain??? here's hoping!

neeko at you being able to record the heart beat on your phone, what a lovely midwife you have ...i have recorded my belly moving on the video cam...so that i can show this baby when its older just how much it was pushing it's foot out of the side of my tummy!

Ill be back later to catch up with you all, off to do some more baking...the chocolate cake yesterday was a success!

Joolsiam · 27/01/2010 22:12

oh my goodness I am such an idiot - got off the train at my stop earlier and left my overnight bag on the train !!!

They recovered it at the next stop and it is being sent to lost property at City Thameslink - fortunately I have a meeting round the corner from there tomorrow. Hope it is there

I was distracted because I've been having cramps and was daydreaming / symptom spotting

MLS you are truly the queen of google I've seen a lot of symptom spotting sites, but never come across that one and it is really good !

Oh, and I loved Grays Anatomy - am hooked already !

MummyLovesSadie · 27/01/2010 21:06

Cupcake apparently Jody is a diminutive of Joseph which means 'the Lord will add'. I have one more - Joss. Also the name Jesus is in my book.... imagine if you went to your church & introduced your new baby to everyone & said "This is baby Jesus"!!!

cupcakefairy · 27/01/2010 19:56

Oh yay thanks MLS Those are fab, I really like Jesse... hadn't considered Jody for a boy but that is quite cool isn't it (like in the Bryan Adams song )(Well I'm assuming 'Jody got married' refers to a boy ) Jonah is lovely too but some friends we don't particularly like have a Jonas which is a bit too similar...
Want to get a book though so will try to find your one in the library, thanks!
I'm intrigued about what your chosen names are now!
Also, wow that's crazy about the burial points thing but glad it seems to have worked

LOL Vjay that cracked me up I'm sorry but I still love the name! Just be glad it doesn't go with my surname or you'd be giggling a lot come May

Neeko fab news that mw went well and how cool to have the hb on your phone

Had a text from Curly to say she will do some catching up with us v soon
Lovely to see you kate and glad gracie is ok too, thanks sabs soooo not long til we get new nieces/nephews

Neeko how very dare you!

You know you can email the heartbeat from your phone to your pc.... I suspect that might be a bit technical for you though!

Neeko · 27/01/2010 16:50

X-post MLS and welcome back after your huge break Ditto on the friend thing.

Neeko · 27/01/2010 16:48

Hi all. Had midwife today. All well with wriggler and she let me record heartbeat onto phone

Got letter from DD's nursery to say child has Hep A and they've all to be vaccinated. Off to google.

Lovely to hear from a few of you who've been MIA for a wee while.
