OK I have just worked out that if my next cycle is the same length as this one was then I will actually be due 1st October if I get pg so rather than sitting at the back of the September bus I thought I might skip straight ahead to the next one lol.

Plenty of chocolate and biscuits ready for the journey

Am still on the bus and it's starting to feel like a long old journey. Fertility friend thinks I managed to ovulate on CD21 - though I didn't spot any other symptoms. Now on 8dpo and thoroughly bored of the waiting. My temps did dip yesterday, but I'm not getting my hopes up yet! Not really sure what I should be looking out for - tempted to not find out so I don't drive myself mad with symptom spotting! (though I probably will)

UmBongo · 11/02/2010 22:14

She would do the talking (obviously) not the test itself! (that would be even more )

UmBongo · 11/02/2010 22:12

Hi all, nymph, my mum was in a "counselling" mood a couple of weeks ago and told me that she thought that I had to "move on" from the hole I was in about not concieving and that I had to talk to dh about doing his test. I had to "feel the fear and do it anyway" (one of her self help books) AND if I didn't want to talk to dh about doing his test then she would do it for me!!. Thats why I am avoiding my dearest mother!!!

Rhetorical question on another matter - Why is a windy belly in the first half of cycle totally ignored and in the 2ww it is DEFINATELY a SYMPTOM?!!?

Fairygodmother1 · 11/02/2010 20:52

Aww beck that was crap. Thing someone was trying to comfort you and told you what you wanted to hear. Might see you on the Nov bus!

Hi all, AF got me today (the bitch). Will someone take me off the stats list please.
Good luck to those left on here, hope you get your BFPs xxxx

Nymphadora · 11/02/2010 18:47

At least I'll know either way this week. Hoping I dont come on before Sat as we are going to the football and dont think I can spend 2 hours without changing

Fairygodmother1 · 11/02/2010 18:31

Nymph I'm still hanging on to my seat hoping that I'll be getting off at the BFP stop! I hope I don't get off too soon!

Oh & DH seems to think that it's 7 days to make but get replaced every 3 days if that makes sense!

xxx

Nymphadora · 11/02/2010 17:06

spacefrog

this bus hasn't done very well for such a big one therefore I declare that everyone left MUST be pregnant

BUnderTheBonnet · 11/02/2010 14:47

spacefrog. How disappointing!

Spacefrog · 11/02/2010 14:27

I mean: if the line disappears within a few minutes...

Spacefrog · 11/02/2010 14:25

I'm off, AF arrived this morning two days late and just in time for my birthday!
The Sainsbury test was definitely faulty I'm a bit and will send them a letter of complaint. Ladies, beware if you get a positive on a cheapo and then the line disappears: it's most likely a negative.

Fingers crossed I hope you get a lot more BFP on the bus!

BUnderTheBonnet · 11/02/2010 10:15

sparechange I never had any bleeding with my dd.

I have had weird pains in my lower abdomen the last few days. I am trying not to obsess over them, but I can't help but think "implantation!" every time it happens! Aargh!

sparechange · 11/02/2010 09:27

Well, I caved and tested yesterday, and...

Duff test. Didn't even get the control line. That is the last of my 99p shop cheapies, and they've stopped selling them, so I'm going to have to splurge of a FR this weekend, I think.

nymph I'm convinced mine have grown as well
I was having a good old look this morning, and I'm sure my bras are a bit ahem, fuller. Might just be the weekend curry finally catching up with me...

I had convined myself this is a symptom, but then realised I haven't had any sort of implantation bleed.

Is it possible to get a BFP without any sort of bleed?

Loujalou · 11/02/2010 08:22

Bet your hubby is loving the boobs Nymph. Mine are always huge so don't really notice any changes!

Nymphadora · 11/02/2010 07:17

Boobs feel really big today , even dh noticed this am and he doesn't normally notice pre period. They are really firm too which is nice

BUnderTheBonnet · 11/02/2010 07:15

Morning all!

Congrats to samantha

for everyone jumping off

for spacefrog I will endeavour to stay away from my tests for 5 mins in future.

nymph I want to say three days, but I could have just made that up. Maybe it's three days to build up to full capaacity, now I come to think of it... After three days, he's full, and sperm start dying off to make room for the new sperm.

Temp is still rising this month (about 8/9 days dpo). No other symptoms.

My nipples were really obviously pregnant last time, so I was kind of expecting the same "clue" this time. Those ladies who have been pg more than once - did you get the same early symptoms second time round???

Nymphadora · 10/02/2010 22:30

umbongo what's your mum got to do with the sperm count

dh has another question- how long do sperm take to make?

UmBongo · 10/02/2010 21:52

Congratulations to Samantha

UmBongo · 10/02/2010 21:51

Sorry to see you go Lou and the others - no doubt I will catch up with you on the Nov. bus.

Yay Nymph well done with the high progesterone this month And good luck to your dh on friday. (I still haven't cornered my dh about his test, WHEN af turns up this month I will do it. (and I'll just have to avoid my mother until then!!!))

Fairygodmother1 · 10/02/2010 20:44

8spacefrog* i like that idea of waiting 8 months! lol

Nymph The 6 months I was on clomid recently I'm convinced I only ovulated on even months lol. Fingers crossed BFP soon as this was my sixth & final month on it! Not too positive I will be tho as we didn't try as much as previous months!!!!
Keep your chin up.

xxx

Nymphadora · 10/02/2010 20:28

Goodlook Spacefrog

Congrats samantha

and Bye to all those who have left.

I got my 21 day test back yesterday and the progesterone(?) level was 3 times the previous month and I obviously ovulated.
DH wants to know if this means one works and they alternate? I thought it wasnt that straight forward.
I am now a bit PO as we didnt 'try' this month and I was working [grr] DH is going on Friday for his bit so got to see what happnes there next

Spacefrog · 10/02/2010 20:06

Congratulations Samantha! Becky and Lou thanks for your optimism. Isn't it funny! Sometimes you get a negative but you're pg, and sometimes a positive and you're not. Because apparently if the +ve line disappears after a few minutes, like happened to me yesterday, it's a BFN.

I'll test again tomo and if BFN will just wait another 8 months and see if a baby appears, LOL.

Fairygodmother1 · 10/02/2010 19:19

Congrats Samantha

Fairygodmother1 · 10/02/2010 19:17

Spacefrog my sister didn't get a BFP till 2 weeks after her AF was due even though she knew she was pg.

maybe that will be you too
