OK I have just worked out that if my next cycle is the same length as this one was then I will actually be due 1st October if I get pg so rather than sitting at the back of the September bus I thought I might skip straight ahead to the next one lol.

Plenty of chocolate and biscuits ready for the journey

silverboots i think i made a typo (or did I??
lorelai i think that it depend on the person, but from what i have read it happens before OV and then stops abruptly after, so you only really know after that it may have happened the day before (bloody typical). Please someone correct me if i am wrong - im no fertility expert!!

ILoveGregoryHouse · 14/01/2010 15:33

I think it's imminent with ewcm. It stops right after ovulation. I think.

Lorelai · 14/01/2010 15:02

Can I also check - is EWCM a sign that ovulation is happening, or that it is imminent? And if imminent, how long before does the EWCM appear? Just trying to work out how many chances I have to jump DH!

Lorelai · 14/01/2010 11:37

Thanks for all the speedy replies. Turns out I either have a short luteal phase or a longer cycle than I thought as have some EWCM now (at least I think that's what it is!). So DH had better not be tired tonight!

digitalgirl · 14/01/2010 11:19

Great plan silverboots so simple!

My plan is

  1. Ovulate and conceive today.
  2. Feel an overwhelming urge to test on the 24th, because of really really obvious symptoms like mahoosive boobs.
  3. Draw up another plan during pregnancy as to how to afford/accomodate little one.
  4. Have baby three weeks early because that's when DS came so I refuse to wait any longer.
  5. Come up with new plan as to how to cope with 2dc.

My body, I suspect, may have its own plan. Possibly to not even ovulate today.

IloveGH I've found that I sometimes get a little bit of EWCM either just before my period. Or, if it's a proper batch - it means I didn't manage to ovulate the first time round and my body's trying again. So keep having sex!

decafgirl · 14/01/2010 10:55

Still no high temperature...

ILoveGregoryHouse · 14/01/2010 10:45

Silverboots, love your plan. I sahll adopt it forthwith although I like 10/10/10 as a birthday.

I have put pics of DSs on my profile page.

SilverBoots · 14/01/2010 10:19

lucybrad - does your DH know about 'fread'!?

heading4home · 14/01/2010 10:18

Morning all. Just updating my stats as something has indeed gone wrong somewhere - am on CD10 today.

DTD last night but not hopeful as no EWCM so far. Why were my cycles so clear and easy to predict before TTC and now they have gone weird???

All the best to those who are waiting for appointments and/or test results.

Good luck to ILoveGH with the twins . I think it is possible to ovulate twice in one cycle, but unusual.

Have DTD daily from day 10 to 15, had EWCM yesturday (day 15) & today, all ov tests indicate LH surge today. I have a plan:

  1. Ov (& conceive!) on day 17.
  2. Positive HPT on day 28.
  3. Happy, healthy pregnancy.
  4. Healthy baby girl arrives on due date of 08/10/10.

easy

lucybrad · 14/01/2010 10:09

ilovegreg i had that last month too. Quite a lot at the expected time then a smigen of it about a week later. Filled me with fread when i saw it, as i figured maybe i hadnt ov'd when i thought i had.

ILoveGregoryHouse · 14/01/2010 09:49

Is it possible to ovulate more than once in a cycle? Am very confused as I am on 2ww but seem to still have cm. And I had what might have been an ov bleed a day before the LH surge on Day 14. Maybe it'll be me with the miracle twins!

digitalgirl · 14/01/2010 09:12

lorelai its also possible that you have a shorter luteal phase, perhaps only 11-12 days long. If you know you don't then something might have delayed ov this month.

No luck last night. Ds refused to fall sleep till midnight, despite our efforts. Then he fell asleep in our bed.

Got some yesterday morning though. So will hope I get lucky tonight and hopefully that should cover it. Here's hoping.

addictedtomn · 14/01/2010 08:48

if you have ovulated you will have had some, but it could be that its not a lot or a diffrent consistancy/colour to usual due to change of diet, exercise or even weather change!

i cant remember where i herd that (i think it must have been on a diffrent forum) but apparantly its all to do with your body trying to keep warm/cool

Lorelai · 14/01/2010 07:15

Please excuse my ignorance here, but is it possible to ovulate without getting EWCM? Going by cycle length I should be into the 2ww but haven't seen any sign of ovulation yet (which is probably a good thing, as DH has been too tired for much SWI!)

I've never really paid much attention to my cycle, but I am sure I have seen what I now think is EWCM in the past, just not this cycle.

addictedtomn · 13/01/2010 20:58

cailin could be to do with lots of or quite forcefull sex. it could be implantation bleeding (although unlikely as your cycle is 32-36 days long, so slightly too early) or it could be left over from your period, just old blood.

hi samantha, sorry you have to join us but its nice to see new faces

addicted sounds terrible, hope all goes well with gynae

Sorry to jump in but I have query and hoping for some input. CD13 today both yesterday and today I have had brown cm - quite light but noticeable - any body have experience of this, as have never had before..........

addictedtomn · 13/01/2010 19:41

your allowed to be fascinated, most people are! I'm just glad its being sorted now.

Digitalgirl, jump him you know you want to!

ILoveGregoryHouse · 13/01/2010 19:31

addicted am shocked at your treatment. Sorry, fascinating was a bit of an insensitive word to use . I really hope all goes well and the gynae gives you the help you need.

digitalgirl · 13/01/2010 19:29

addicted at what shoddy treatment you've had for your previous pregnancies. Glad you've found a better gp and they're taking your condition seriously. I do hope ttc works out for you.

Am in baby making phase. Contemplating jumping dh tonight. Although ds is currently having his 'afternoon nap' on the sofa so god knows what kind of night we've got in store.

nymphadora · 13/01/2010 18:24

Lucybrad - must have taken me ages to post before cos I completely missed yours! Hoping we dont need to be comparing results!

addictedtomn · 13/01/2010 18:21

ilove, i'll tell you the whole story, but its quite long so please bear with me.

dec. 08 i had a operation on my hymen i had a septate hymen, (sex was really painfull and uncomfortable and tbh impossible) the gyne realised then that i had this condition, wrote it on my notes and left it to the doctor to tell me about it and refer me to a specilist. well, that never happend. i got pregnant soon after that and at 6 weeks started light bleeding, and it felt all wrong, it took me 7 days to convince them that i wasnt just a parinoid pregnant woman and something was seriously wrong with my body, i was finally admitted and lost lost lots of blood. the gyne who was dealing with me then asked about operations and my dh said about the one in dec. i remember the gyne reading the notes from my operation infront of me and he said "well no wonder you've lost the baby" that was when i realised i'd had a mc. i lost a lot of blood and was so out of it i never followed up on that sentance, and i completly forgot about it, untill i had a second mc at 5 weeks, this one wasnt as bad and i didnt go to hospital, (i should point out that i'd also moved house during this time so had a new more efficent doctor) so i went to the doc to tell him i'd had a mc and to make sure it was ok to start ttc again (we didnt try again but thats another story!) and thats when he looked through my notes and told me about the condition and what they had written. after much to-ing and fro-ing i've got my first appointment with the specilist gyne tomorrow to find out more about the condition and the chance of carrying a baby to full term, how will future pregnancys be monotored and what they will do to help [nervous]

lucybrad and nymph i hope every thing will be ok for you. being constantly worried is not fun is it.

lucybrad · 13/01/2010 17:45

yes it was day 3 bloods (although i am on day 5 she said it was still ok?)

nymph hope those results come back ok.
