OK I have just worked out that if my next cycle is the same length as this one was then I will actually be due 1st October if I get pg so rather than sitting at the back of the September bus I thought I might skip straight ahead to the next one lol.

Plenty of chocolate and biscuits ready for the journey

UCL- Usual cycle length
CD- current day

is what number child!

Eadwacer · 17/01/2010 20:40

Hi Cokie - I've just worked it out myself!

By way of example - I'm trying to conceive (TTC) my first. My usual cycle length (UCL) is 24, and I'm on the 5th day (CD5) of my cycle. This is the first cycle that I've tried to conceive.

So I'm TTC#1, Cycle 1, UCL24, CD 5

hope this helps and good luck!

Cokie · 17/01/2010 20:35

Sorry ladies, can someone explain the UCL and CD accronyms to me??

Lorelai · 17/01/2010 19:24

Hi livvilo - welcome! I'm sure we can squeeze you in, as long as you don't mind getting cozy Haven't had a mirena myself so can't help with that one I'm afraid.

Nancy - I am going to try and wait until a week after AF due as well, mainly coz I don't want to waste money - by then, if I haven't had AF then there won't be much doubt about the result. Of course, it is all very well saying that now....

Have updated the list to add livviloo

Hi I'm new to MN and have just had mirena out on the 7th Jan so can I join in?
TTC 3 cycle 1 UCL before mirena about 28 and now CD??
I am planning to test in 7 days in case coil was removed when I was ovulating (hopeful I know) and then a week later.
How long did AF take to come back for people after having mirena out?

ILoveGregoryHouse · 17/01/2010 18:26

I must be pg! Forgot the link

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/in_the_news/895839-Adam-Jones-taken-from-his-mum-Please-help

ILoveGregoryHouse · 17/01/2010 18:25

Nancy, do you mean 10 days from now? How could you hold out that long. Have promised myself not to test early and even maybe 4 days after AF due - but 10 days? Jeez!

Eadwacer, horrid, isn't it? Like being hit by a train, lol!

Anyway, ladies, please look at this thread I started, am hoping to get some support from mners.

nancydrewrocks · 17/01/2010 16:44

Welcome to the new arrivals - standing room only I reckon.

Ilovegregory I don't give anything up on the 2ww. I don't smoke or drink tea/coffee anyway and giving up wine just adds to the almost unbearable pressure.

Totally know where you are coming from with the weight/eating. I had terrible morning sickness with DD and had to eat chips non stop just to get through the day, although I was so sick I actually lost weight. Sickness wasn't as bad with my boys but was an issue as I rarely actually vomitted so I put on quickly.

I am off to stay with my sis for a few weeks and she eats really well so as long as I stick with her meals I should drop a few pounds, which will make me feel more healthy.

Going to try and wait 10 days until I test - anoyone testing before then?

VodkaGirl77 · 17/01/2010 15:02

Thanks for adding me to the list. Well this time next week I'll hopefully know one way or another - seems like such a long time away though.

Dp and I were discussing baby names this morning - have a feeling that we're never going to agree...

Eadwacer · 17/01/2010 11:40

Ooooo I'm on a list! Jeebus, MN does make me feel frighteningly like a schoolgirl.

I saw a heavily pregnant pal last night and felt the baby's foot. I then got discreetly tearful. People, if ONLY you knew how brutally cycnical and un-babyish I am by nature. What a thing it is to be hijacked by motherliness.

(blows nose, reads copy of Observer Woman)

bunnygirl80 · 17/01/2010 04:22

I've just altered my stats-I gained a cd and I've only been on the bus 5mins! I think it's down to the time difference here - when I put cd1 it was Saturday for me but still Friday for most of you!

Congrats on being on a list armi and well done for finishing your essay BUnderthe Bonnet. I'm glad I finished my masters just before starting to TTC otherwise all of my essays would probably have been filled with info I picked up on MN as I spend far too much time on here.

No! I didn't dare drink caffeine after reading this earlier!!!

Just wrote a load of twonk instead. I know I did quite well on the other two bits so ... meh! Was too busy Googling "bleeding after smear test" to focus, tbh

Armi · 17/01/2010 01:21

Well done on finishing the Masters essay! Have you got that hollow eyed look, accompanied by the too-much caffeine jitters?

Just finished my Masters essay!!!! What's your excuse for being up so late?

It'll all come right in the end, BTB, you'll see.

BUnderTheBonnet · 17/01/2010 00:48

LOL at digitalgirl and arni's "symptoms". Me too!

Weird bleeding/AF has not stopped. Honestly doesn't feel like AF though. WARNING - TMI ALERT! It's brighter red and not the same consistency IYKWIM. And not quite as heavy. And besides, it's over a week early. But it's lasted two full days now.

Why could this not have happened last month, when I wasn't TTC?

Dratted smear test.

Armi · 17/01/2010 00:06

Am exhausted from the effort of it all. Perks up Oooooh......exhausted. Adds 'impossibly tired for no good reason to list.*

Am clearly pregnant. Hurrah. Can I still finish this glass of wine?

digitalgirl · 17/01/2010 00:02

armi that's more like it.

Armi · 16/01/2010 23:49

'Anyone else got clear totally unrelated signs that mean they are at least 3 hours pregnant? '

Oh yes. Random dizziness - totally unrelated to giving up smoking, obviously. Insane sense of smell - ditto. Occasional nausea - nothing to do with clearing out fruitbowl containing rancid satsumas. Insatiable hunger for oat-based products, particularly Maple Syrup flavoured oaty bar things - clearly nothing to do with being a greedy piggy. Strange feelings in the lower abdominal area - possibly related to excessive consumption of fibre-rich oaty products as mentioned above.

Have had the occasional boob-twinge but fear this is down to ill-fitting bra after Christmas weight gain.

See? I'm a hopeless case. I might just get another dog and give up on the whole thing. Rustles newspaper

digitalgirl · 16/01/2010 23:42

armi by the law of sod may you be pg.

Ok, despite the fact that there's a strong possibility that I've not even ovulated yet I have unusual 'symptoms' which mean I must be pregnant: itchy legs, darker areoli (nips), and seem to be ever so slightly hairier all over. Obviously I just need to exfoliate, depilate, and er stop staring at my nipples.

Oh and I promised myself I wouldn't symptom spot this time round. But 'unusual' ones don't count.

Anyone else got clear totally unrelated signs that mean they are at least 3 hours pregnant?

asianbabe · 16/01/2010 23:17

Hi All

Sorry been real quiet lately but still been checking up on all you lovely ladies daily to see how you all are getting on.

Hoping this bus has a BFP soon !!!!
