OK I have just worked out that if my next cycle is the same length as this one was then I will actually be due 1st October if I get pg so rather than sitting at the back of the September bus I thought I might skip straight ahead to the next one lol.

Plenty of chocolate and biscuits ready for the journey

Well done on not testing decafgirl!

Sorry to all those who AF has got

I've had a bit more light spotting this morning, and cramps. Still seems too early for AF, but would implantation bleeding come and go, and last more than 1 day?

digitalgirl am intruigued to what you do now?

smallblackflowers · 24/01/2010 10:40

Morning all, just to let you know that I too am defecting to the November bus as AF arrived this morning. Good luck and fingers crossed for lots more October BFPs.

digitalgirl · 24/01/2010 10:34

Well done for resisting decafgirl. You are a strong woman.

Sorry you're on the next bus ilgh but may also see you there sometime this week.

nymph not preventing is a perfectly good way to end up pg, it's how I got my bfp in nov.

Have had quite severe pre-menstrual cramps this morning, which seem to have subsided for now. But I keep running to the loo everytime I think my period has started only to find more cm. So I'm nearing the end of the 2ww when everything is either a pg symptom or an AF symptom. It's put me right off my coffee today.

Am now doing that thing where I come up with convncing reasons to test earlier than planned. I have a really busy day directing a shoot on Thursday where i will be offered coffee on an hourly basis. Do I test in the morning so I know whether I can have more than one cup? Or will it not make a difference if it's a bfn as there will still be a niggle of hope? So might as well wait till next weekend when I am more likely to be late. There, decision made. I will wait as planned.

TeaFan · 24/01/2010 10:13

Lol at your due date antics Lorelai, I did the exact same thing and it got my hopes up too!!!

nymphadora · 24/01/2010 09:32

Lol at the bra snapping!
Sorry to see you go gregoryshouse will be seeing you on there I think.

Cos of all the stress last week & still to come we are not trying this month just not preventing! Just to take some pressure off. Will get the bloods done anyway & when things are calmer dh can do his bit

ILoveGregoryHouse · 24/01/2010 07:48

Ooh totallyfloaty, hope your bra doesn't snap somewhere embarassing, like Waitrose.

Just popped in to say bye. I've defected to November bus as AF arrived this morning. Good luck to all you testers this week.

decafgirl · 23/01/2010 22:47

I think it's passed, the test is now in the house but it is safely tucked away out of my eyeline! It's sooo hard! Must wait till the weekend, must wait until the weekend, must wait until the weekend...

Lorelai · 23/01/2010 22:38

Ok, I just used the due date calculator on here (coz I am bored, have already done it a dozen times and it wouldn't change), but I noticed it says my conception date would have been 14th Jan, which just happens to be one of the very few days of SWI this month...

I really need to stop getting my hopes up!!!

Lorelai · 23/01/2010 22:23

Be strong decafgirl!! Wait until the weekend and we can test together

decafgirl · 23/01/2010 22:06

I think I'm about to crack...someone stop me...I've got a test squirreled away in the car...help me!!

LadyBee · 23/01/2010 21:39

Hi, I'm no expert in these things, but as far as I know implantation bleed is usually light spotting and sometimes cramps that occur from about 6-12dpo (usually 8-10dpo), when the fertilised egg implants in the uterus lining.
I had it last time, it felt just like my period was about to start, but a week early, and then it didn't IYSWIM. I just felt like it was going to from then until I tested a few days after it was due. Had a sort of 'full' 'heavy' feeling.

However, I think lots of women don't feel this and still get BFP. And last time I felt like it, it turned out it actually was AF coming a week early

Lorelai · 23/01/2010 20:25

Welcome LunaticFringe - I believe the TTC # is which DC this would be rather than pg, but I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

Can someone tell me what an implantation bleed is like (not sure if I had one last time, honestly I am such a newbie at this!!). I have just had a brown discharge when I went to the loo (TMI I know, sorry!!) - I normally get some brown spotting/discharge for a couple of days before AF, but I am not due till Thursday, so wouldn't expect this until Monday at the absolute earliest, more likely Tuesday. Could this be an implantation bleed? Or would that be bright red blood?

DD1 who has same cycle as me just told me i got my period on the 8th jan,so if thats correct im all messed up with my ovulation date now just hope i havent missed it.My first sign of being pregnant is usually the clasp on my bra snapping due to sudden size increase,so im praying for my bra to burst in the next 10days.

decafgirl · 23/01/2010 19:50

TeaFan LOL at only wanting to eat shortbread...think I have that symptom too! xx

TeaFan · 23/01/2010 17:14

Lol, i'm not sure 'better' is necessarily the right word, maybe 'more neurotic' would cover it!?!?

I do normally get tender boobs and I possibly feel sick because of the shortbread . Is really a bit too early for cramps though . I could say i'm trying not to get my hopes up but that would suggest that I thought I had some hope of managing not to this time

Lorelai · 23/01/2010 17:02

Oooh, I think you are doing a bit better than me on symptoms - I have no boob symptoms at all (I do wonder though, would I get those kind of symptoms as I am still bf?)

TeaFan · 23/01/2010 16:57

Hi all, can I join please?

TeaFan TTC#1 Cycle 6 UCL 29 CD24

I have been on these threads before but we stopped TTC in the Autumn as had some major renovations to do and I just about drove myself insane and needed a break.

Was doing fine with the old 'staying calm' thing this cycle but at 9DPO the 2ww well and truly has me in it's grips now

Could be BFP/could be AF symptoms so far...

Boobs feel tender & tingly nipples
Feel a bit sick and only feel like eating shortbread
Intermittent AF pains last night and today - can I join you in implantation hopes Lorelai?

Lorelai · 23/01/2010 16:07

What do implantation pains feel like? Felt a bit of a twinge this afternoon (not painful, wouldn't have thought anything of it if I wasn't symptom spotting like mad!), and think I am about 9 dpo, which I think is about right.

Oh, I am going to be sooooo disappointed when AF arrives aren't I?

LadyBee · 23/01/2010 13:35

oohh, lovely shelleee, I love weddings. I had mine last October and it was a wonderful day.

smallblackflowers, chin up, if the spotting was implantation yesterday it might take a little while for those hCG levels to rise high enough. Fingers X for you.

smallblackflowers · 23/01/2010 13:18

BFN for me this morning, AF due yesterday but not here although still spotting....only 11 dpo, so will likely test again each day till AF shows her face or I get a BFP.

digitalgirl · 23/01/2010 11:39

How exciting shelleee have you found a dress yet or are you waiting to see if you'll need a maternity one?

decafgirl snap on hoping next weekend will tell me either way.

Am definitely feeling my period is due so looks like another short cycle for me. Last one was 23days, but am thinking this one should be at least 25. So should start spotting tomorrow or Monday if my calculations are right. Let's hope not.
