OK I have just worked out that if my next cycle is the same length as this one was then I will actually be due 1st October if I get pg so rather than sitting at the back of the September bus I thought I might skip straight ahead to the next one lol.

Plenty of chocolate and biscuits ready for the journey

Have re-arranged myself on here as have messed up my dates and im further along my cycle than i thought

FrenchLimeBlossom · 27/01/2010 14:47

thanks digitalgirl and ladybee, perhaps i am getting things out of proportion a teeeeny wee bit. Hormones, eh?

All i keep thinking is, the more swimmers get a chance the more likely it is one of them will make it successfully. So the more SWI the better IYSWIM?

Note to self: calm down. Do not forget how wonderful DH is and how much you love him, hence why you are trying to get PG in the first place.

Lorelai · 27/01/2010 13:54

sorry to hear that h4h

heading4home · 27/01/2010 13:44

Oh well, looks like full-on AF now

So after two years of 29 day cycles, more or less regular, I start ttc and immediately have a 26 day cycle and now a 22 day cycle. WTF???

digitalgirl · 27/01/2010 13:18

haha ladybee! As far as I know you don't necessarily need to involve your toes in getting pregnant. So go on, hoist it out the way and why not Shag For Fun? You never know, you might make a baby.

I'm so glad I'm busy tomorrow. Although having MN on my phone does not help when trying to remain casually nonchalant.

LadyBee · 27/01/2010 12:49

digitalgirl noooo don't say that! I'm still getting tons of EWCM but we haven't shagged for a while, and I hadn't really thought we should keep going. I broke my toe a couple of days ago and although it's fine to walk on it's really sore if it gets knocked...I wonder if I can manage to keep it out of the way

frenchlimeblossom, I reckon you did ok, we pretty much have a deal that we do every second day in the fertile window (we count around days 8-18), and then try for every 3-4 days apart from that, although that's usually me being paranoid (see above) and wanting to cover myself for late ovulation (oh yeah, and you know, wanting to shag him just for sake of it occasionally ). I re-read my Zita West book every so often and reminded myself that sperm can live for (on average) 3-5 days. Obviously there aren't any guarantees in this game but I hope that makes you feel a bit better about it.

I'm due to POAS about the same time as you assuming AF isn't here by this time next week. Personally, I'm not feeling very hopeful myself but will cross fingers for us both.

digitalgirl · 27/01/2010 12:08

frenchlimeblossom you did REALLY well to SWI on all those days. Lets put it into perspective. My last BFP we definitely only did the deed once around ov time, AND I was breastfeeding, AND we were majorly sleep deprived as DS was waking several times a night.

And in true Crazy Lady fashion (I have already posted this on the 2ww thread - apols to those on both) I think I completely misread the signs last week. I think all the excessive CM that I thought was a pg symptom was actually me being smack bang in my fertile period. And as (bad) luck would have it, DH was working really late a couple of nights so only DTD (thinking it was SFF) once on Thursday night. Then that majorly painful cramping on Saturday that I thought was implantation, must have been the egg only just hatching. So am hoping that Once really is Enough, and that I was so fertile (post mc n'all that) I managed to keep DH's Thursday night swimmers fed and watered till they met the egg on Saturday morning. Cramping has subsided, so doesn't really feel like AF is due tomorrow at all. So if it's a no show, then I'll assume that my new calculations are correct and that I'll be hoping against hope that in two weekends time I'll know whether to test or not.

See, Crazy Lady. This is turning into a repeat of TTC#1 when I had to invoke Sod's Law and book a really expensive holiday somewhere inappropriate to Relax and Not Think About It. Can't afford that this time.

Right any one due the weekend of the 6th who can hold my hand and slap my face on a regular occasion for when I inevitably become hysterical?

FrenchLimeBlossom · 27/01/2010 11:15

Congrats to all the graduates, very exciting. Here's hoping the good luck rubs off on the rest of us!

I am feeling really ....grrrrrrrrr... at the moment, as between Thursday and Tuesday was the peak time for SWI and because DH does not like to feel under pressure we managed it on Friday, Sunday and Monday only.

It is just so annoying - I'm not drinking, not eating any bad stuff, have switched to all organic food at home, am popping vitamins and folic acid, having acupuncture, about to go for my day 21 blood tests, monitoring EWCM and temps, worrying about whether there is something wrong, going through these mad hormonal surges - and the one thing he is supposed to do, which we agreed on, and he says he wants to do, is make love more often during the key period. And every month i feel as though it is the same, like pulling teeth just to get enough sperm up there to give them a fighting chance.

ARRRRGGHHHHH!

Sorry for rant. Not been on to chat for ages and all i do is blather on. Not sure if IAB a bit U about it either, but hopefully some of you will understand!

So now i am joining the 2WW (well the 11 day wait in my case) - hopefully in the meantime many more BFPs to come - see some of you next week for testing fun i imagine! Anyone else due to POAS next Thursday/Friday?

Nanny01 · 27/01/2010 11:01

Congrats to those have BFP's I remember ttc last time for me and seeing the result you never forget.I agree with yumyum73 Fingers crossed for more BFP's.

heading4home · 27/01/2010 09:42

Something weird is definitely going on for me. Today is CD23 and cycle is normally around 29 days (although last month was 26). I am getting brown spotting this morning and some red but not much. No AF cramps or the feeling I normally get with AF but really trying not to get hopes up that it could be implantation bleeding

Going to toilet now for another obsessive check......

Yay for the BFPs by the way

Lorelai · 27/01/2010 09:34

Gah, that was meant to say pg wife, not of! Can you tell I am on my iPod again?

Lorelai · 27/01/2010 09:31

Morning all. No sign of AF here (due tomorrow, but might be as late as Sat), so am keeping hopeful for now. Interestingly, my boss just asked me if I am pg (was standing with one hand on hip and one on stomach, the same as his of wife does!). Didn't really like to say 'well, maybe'!

yumyum73 · 27/01/2010 09:29

Congratulations to all the BFP's!!!!

Hate this tww, my cycle was particularly strange this month and on an avergae of my usual LP i cant test until next Thursday.... it feels like forever!!!!!

Fingers crossed for more BFP's xxx

beckylou85 · 27/01/2010 09:06

Oh wow, Congrats to all the BFPs! Its fantastic news! Heres hoping this is the month for us all
I've got a good feeling about this month, seem to be more confident about everything.
Good luck to all ttc xxx

VodkaGirl77 · 27/01/2010 07:18

OK have done another test this morning, and the line is stronger. So while I wouldn't say it's a B fp it's definitely a positive. Will test again tomorrow just to check though.

Fingers (and arms, and legs) crossed for everyone else.

LadyBee · 26/01/2010 21:47

yay! BFPs! Congratulations to jennimoo and (hopefully) vodkagirl.

This is making me feel slightly more optimistic - have been wallowing in a funk of no symptoms. I feel absolutely and totally un-pregnant.

Just waiting for a week to pass now to get this one over with..hope you other ladies are feeling slightly more positive.

Armi · 26/01/2010 20:54

Congratulations to the BFP peeps! Great news!

I've decided to take positive action instead of sitting here in a self-indulgent puddle of misery - have commenced a new allegedly conception-friendly diet which seems to consist largely of eating seeds which get stuck in my teeth. Have stomped away on the treadmill and cross-trainer at the gym and have, in the interests of turning DH's head, splashed out on a new haircut, some (non-tacky) night attire of an alluring sort and some lovely crisp new bedding. He can read the signs and is already getting a hunted look; he's skulking around the house taking Sanatogen and 'conserving energy' by lying on the sofa not doing any housework.

kawaiiko · 26/01/2010 19:54

Update for today. Vodkagirl you seemed to want to retest before we move you down to the graduates list?

Have just done (another) test and have the faintest of faint (and I mean faint) lines. Soooo I think I might possibly be pregnant maybe. Will do another test tomorrow morning and hopefully get a stronger result (fingers crossed).
