Thought I'd get a new thread started as we seem to have run out of space

Let's hope this one brings us all lots of luck!

Monkey - It's not looking good for me this month..

After the Lap my cycle was about a week longer and then the following one was back to 'normal' (for me). Everyone's different though, frustrating as it must be.... Doc's again? x

Vikks · 30/12/2009 09:58

Lara - Have fun!

Pickle - Good luck with your TTC journey, I hope it's short with a very happy ending!
I would definitely recommend the CBFM. It takes out all the guess work, you know exactly when to BD. DH loves it too, it saves me from killing him each month!

monkeybumsmum · 30/12/2009 09:52

Hello! Welcome to MumOfAPickle and larakitten
Lara As Vikks said don't worry about getting a high so early - it's just the levels of oestrogen that are rising, so can go on for days before you get a peak. Good luck!

MumOfAPickle Yes it is expensive, but is really great if you're not quite sure what happens with your cycle. Takes the stress of guessing away! And yes, CD is cycle day

Vikks How are you doing? Any symptoms/non-symptoms? Have my fingers crossed for you xxx

I have no idea what's going on with me - have lost track of CD (think approx CD8-10) but due to last cycle being 16 days and then not taking CBFM away with me I'm on CD26 on that... Every time I've tested in the last three weeks I've been on high - has this happened to anyone else? Is starting to drive me crazy! Do you think it's all to do with the operation I had perhaps? Argh!!!! Vikks when you had a lap how long did it take for your body to settle back down? Am starting to get really worried

Have to go as PIL's arriving very soon and house is a tip. Not enough time and too much to do....

Hope you're all okay, and that you had lovely Christmases! Back soon xxx

Hi all, mind if I join?

I'mm TTC #2 and am struggling a bit. We conceived DS on the 2nd month but its been 4 months now and nothing. I got some ovulation sticks (cheap ones online) and used them last month but still no. Should I get the Clearblue one? Its just so expensive....

Sorry to read all your troubles and I have much admiration for all of you managing to stay positive.

justshaggy I hope you are coping ok and that you have the support that you need.

So...
MumOfAPickle TTC#2, Cycle 2 with CBFM (sort of ), Age 32, UCL 28-29, CD12

Is that right? Is CD cycle day?

larakitten · 29/12/2009 18:45

Vikks - thanks for the reassurance....sorry to have asked and ran but had a hectic day yesterday!

I'm still getting highs, but I normally have a longish cycle, 31-33 days. I think I OV around day 15/16 so there could be many highs yet to keep DH busy!!! We're aiming for every 2nd day while getting highs, on cd 10 now so a while yet till I expect a peak!

How come ttc #2 seems SO much more difficult?!?

Vikks · 28/12/2009 10:46

Lara - Don?t worry; it could just be because it?s your first cycle. As I remember it asks for everything early on that first cycle. If you don?t want to BD while AF is on wait until tomorrow. You normally get a few ?highs? anyway before you ?peak? (I usually get at leased 10!). Is your cycle short?

Keziah- Christmas is a great distraction! This is the easiest 2WW I?ve had?.

Hello to everyone else!

larakitten · 27/12/2009 19:14

Hi there, this is my first month using the CBFM and I'm a bit confused!

We're ttc #2, and invested in the machine to help us pinpoint OV after getting pregnant v easily with my DD.

I'm on CD8....got first high reading today, but I'm still bleeding (sorry if tmi, its just I'm at the end of my period and still passing brownish blood, which is normal for me). How could I get a high reading, if I'm still bleeding? Is it just the monitor detecting a hormone change but because it doesn't know me yet it sees it as a high?

Help!

Keziahhopes · 26/12/2009 21:51

Happy Christmas too!

Vikks - hope your 2ww going ok and Christmas beinga good distraction.

Vikks · 25/12/2009 00:46

Hi all - sorry I fell off the radar for a few weeks. Felt a bit lost with it all.

justshaggy - I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. Keep your chin up, I know it's easier said than done but we're all here for you. x

Hoping - hi, it's so exciting getting married. We got married earlier this year and it was the best day ever. How are you getting on with CBFM?

Vicks - great news about your eggy! I've been reading all about the injections. They don't sound very pleasant - do they hurt?

To fill you in on our story - the second lot of results were slightly worse than the first but generally the same outlook We've been referred to a clinic but we're still waiting to receive appointment letter.

I'm still using CBFM until I run out of sticks. This month I got the 1st high on day 10 then 1st peak on day 14. We didn't have a very successful BD month though as neither of us felt very motivated

Still you never know, a little miracle may still happen! AF due sometime between xmas and new year...

monkeybumsmum · 21/12/2009 21:02

Just a quick one from me to say have a lovely Christmas. Am off back to the UK tomorrow till next Monday, so will come back on and post properly next week!

Shaggy Am thinking of you and sending you a big hug x

Vikks Good luck. I hope soooo much that this is your lucky month xxx

Must dash

OP posts:
Vikks · 21/12/2009 20:46

Shaggy - I hope you?re looking after yourself. We are all here if you want to ?talk?. Still thinking of you?..x

Losing - Try and stay positive, I hope the Tamoxifen works for you. I?ve been on the same meds as you, I did Clomid 150mg for 6 months and then Tamoxifen 80mg for 9 months. I?m also nearing the 3 year mark. Have you tested again or has AF arrived? If you?re still waiting and that?s unusual for your cycle I?d make a Doc?s appointment and find out what?s going on. It?s so horrible waiting around, I hope you get some answers soon.

I?m on my 2WW now and I?m aiming to not be obsessively testing and recording every little twinge on my ?Fertility Friends? chart. Hopefully Christmas will help me stay sane and I?ll have my family around me whatever the outcome.

Ho ho ho everyone!!

cyncan · 20/12/2009 03:33

Shaggy, all my blessings to you!! Keep the faith dear.
xoxo
Cynthia

losingallhope · 20/12/2009 01:34

want..a BFN after 3 years, a MC then cyst-operation. "let nature take its cause".
9 months on Clomid 150-200mg...............MENTAL!

NOW DH has slow swimmers and am waiting dye test can't remember its name.
Ironically one wk late, did test last week. BFN. But started on Tamoxifen as opposed to clomid last month. If it has worked will plug Tamox as Clomid can disrupt womb lining.
Feel so up/down/scared/hopeful. My last period was on 7 Nov. Test pos for ovulation 15 days ago. Can anyone offer me any wisdom/? how long does a test take to say positive? I HATE FIRST RESPONSE! keep away girls read up on it and facts are bollocks! xxx hope and pray for good Xmas present but doubt it! x

Vikks · 20/12/2009 01:11

Shaggy...thinking of you....big hugs..x

barrenbrook · 20/12/2009 00:44

Justshaggy I'm so very sorry lovely, we are all here for you if you need to 'talk'. Life is so very cruel sometimes. Thinking of you and sending you a big hug

Keziahhopes · 19/12/2009 17:11

Justshaggy I am so sorry to hear this news and what is happening. I hope the medical team can help identify reasons to help you in the future. x

monkeybumsmum · 19/12/2009 16:50

Justshaggy I am so, so sorry to hear this is happening to you again. You poor thing It is good they are monitoring you as that might tell them something useful, although it must be awful for you.
Please take care of yourself, get lots of rest and I hope you have lots of support around you. You know we are here for you if you need to vent, or just for when you're feeling up to it. Lots of love x

Bad news. No easy way to say this: my pregnancy is ending and I am being monitored while the process happens because they can't rule out the fact it might be an ectopic. Hoping like hell my CBFM works for me as well again as it has the last two times and hoping the next one doesn't end as well. Will post back when more able to discuss the ins and outs of this. I'm still in shock, feeling very numb, and still in and out of pregnancy support centre.

gina84uk · 19/12/2009 13:15

that great viiks, fingers crossed for a new year baby!!,yeah still going iam on day 45 i know they are coming soon tho cause my boob's are sore typical thats a good sign for being pg and that's my sign for period lol

just wanted to say to every one:
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAVE A GREAT NEW YEAR!!!
HOPE THE NEW YEAR BRINGS YOU BUNDLES OF JOY[FGRIN]

Vikks · 18/12/2009 20:05

Gina - Is your cycle still going on and on? It?s so annoying when you know you?re not PG, I once had a CD120! Good luck to you matey!

Brook - Sorry to hear it wasn?t to be this month. I think going to the Doc?s is a good positive step for you. It?s a good feeling getting help and moving things along. Enjoy your Christmas and remember this could be our last ?quiet? one.

Keziah - Wishing you all the luck in the world with your tests!

I?m on my second ?peak? today! I gave myself a shot of HCG on Wednesday night and my CBFM reassures me it?s all working. I had very uncomfortable OV pain today though, does anyone else get this? Maybe it?s my supersized follicle. Test day will be New Years Day! What a start to the new year that would be. I?m trying to remain optimistic this month, the nurse said my follicle was perfectly formed and DH has got me walking like John Wayne (TMI?) so who knows?..I?m just going to try an relax and focus on having fun with my family this Christmas.
Cheers everyone, here?s to 2010 babies for us all!

Keziahhopes · 16/12/2009 18:06

barren - sorry for you this month... seeing dr's was helpful for me as I now feel I am doing something about it - and AF turned up again for me today. I am going to wait till see Gp and ask specifically what he is testing for and then go armed with what I thought I needed and go from there. Know as of today I have missed this cycle for specific testing, so nothing I can do there!

barrenbrook · 16/12/2009 16:26

vikks good news about your eggs lady, hope this month is yours

cyncan and gina sorry to hear your cycles are up the spout still. cyncan did you ovulate this month, could you be up diffed!?

keziah glad you have a date for tests, can you wait it out til the other blood test and then re stress the reasons for being there? Or will that drive you potty having to go back again. You could twist the truth slightly and say you've had advice from a friend who is a nurse or something who said you should have whatever the specific tests are you need and they told you to mention this to your dr?

I'm out again this month. Excuse my language but fooking bollocks! One good thing I suppose is I didn't spot this month, it just turned up 3 days early. I'm making an appointment in the new year for doctors too as this is just ridiculous. I am officially fed up with it all!

Keziahhopes · 15/12/2009 17:56

Saw gp - got the referral to gastroenterology I needed (and have been avoiding - had to go 5yrs ago!) and asked for bloo d tests, got to reception for appointment and realised that it is just at local dr's at a random date for "bloods", including thryoid (yes, helpfulfor that test I guess) - but having explained trying for a baby for nearly 18mths I had hoped for at least specific blood testing. Go back to see gp on 4th Jan - any hints how to get a very nice, usually helpful gp to do what I need? Hubby's gp did say I could go to him, but as I have a variety of medical issues would rather stay with same gp for support reasons. Am

gina - sorry about that, hope next month a really good cycle for you.
cyncan - sorry your cycle like that.. mine going crazy too, I am trying to put it down to a stressful time of year etc!
