Not too long Cazzr.... 1 more week and its worth testing for you, right?

Also... kawaiiko - my fellow impatient friend from waiting to TTC tread! - any sign of af being on the way..?

I guess a few people will be POAS in the next week or so... so hopefully we'll have our first graduates!

x x

Cazzr · 16/12/2009 09:56

God I am soooo broody at the mo and SOOO convinced I am preg that I dread this time next week if AF gets me. I don't know how some of you guys do it after a few months of trying, I'm a mess after 2 (well 1 really).

Hopes this emotion is a good sign... [stressed face].

Onelonelysock: what sort of emotional effects? I'm not sure I remember to take folic acid regularly enough to have the proper build up naughty me but I put any emotional outbursts down to hormones/broodiness/stress of ttc...

I'm sure if you were to ask a midwife they's use the typical line "Every is different". I hate that line but I guess it's true, seems a cop out tho...

OneLonelySock · 16/12/2009 08:26

Climbs on board^ Unfortunately I can't stay, I'm not allowed to have a proper TTC bus ticket until february. I just wanted to pick your brains (non zombie fashion).

Has anyone had felt that they've had some emotional side effects of Folic Acid/ Pregnacare? Just a query 'cos my own behaviour is now freaking me out.

Zen hugs and mini muffins all round for your help!

crumpetsolo · 15/12/2009 21:30

Hi,

Can I hop on the bus please? (standing room only by now, I imagine!) We're TTC number two - as I was too impatient to wait until January and people keep telling me how much longer it has taken second time round - yikes. DS has just turned 1. I'm trying to do temping but being woken up at 5am every morning is not helpful

I've already started looking at Phil & Teds and checking out some lovely maternity leggings, oh dear. Better get on the case!

I hope I've got everyone right...

Cazzr,
Wow think I'll definately test tommorrow if I'm still just spotting. I have also heard about the metallic taste being a symptom, I had it yesterday but I have a bad cold at the moment so I put it down to that, I hope in your case it's something else
Good luck all ttc xxx

Cazzr · 15/12/2009 19:34

BeckyLou: test test test! My friend had spotting early pregnancy because of implantation and she now has a 6week old.

wanttodomyjob, my DS is 3.5 and was a pleasant surprise too and I agree, we got a bit freaked out about it all with the very grown up 'trying' that we didn't really do the job as such in cycle 1 so pretty much see this as cycle 1.
This time, I didn't tell DH when I was ovulating till afterwards as it saved his nerves. I'm broody as hell, and have been for a couple of years now so I can handle the nerves for now.

As for symptom spotting, am i right in thinking metallic taste in the mouth is a possible symptom? I have at the mo but not sure if it's because I have a bad cough or something more exciting...

beckylou85 · 15/12/2009 17:19

Hi all, I'm a day late and I just started spotting, its not the usual redish colour its pink. Not sure if its my normal period or not, as usually its red. It started when I had to go to the loo and had felt a little constipated (sorry for the detail but just wanted to know if that could be what has caused my spotting). My sister and mum are obsessed with me testing today but I daren't incase I get a negative and i'll be so disappointed.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Good luck to all ttc xxx

wanttodomyjob · 15/12/2009 15:59

Hi Ladies!

Can I hop on this bus please?!

DP and I have just started TTC no 2 (last night in fact.

DS1 is now 3 and was unplanned so this is a big deal for us, feels really 'grown up' and scary, this trying malarkey lol!

Am feeling and apprehensive by turns, and at 36 am not sure how 'easy' it will be this time, i need some fellow TTCers!

cazr yes very much less stressful when you are not actively TTC-ing. Took over a year + treatment to conceive DD and I used to get really stressed. Then DS1 was a happy suprise so didn't find out for months. DS2 took a few months but because we lost him I am desperate to conceive again. This is definitely the worst for me stress wise.

I am going to try and hold off to 10dpo too but can't see me lasting!

Hello legallyblond, nice to know I'm not the only one from the 'waiting to ttc' thread to lack...um...patience!

sparechange, we're on the same cycle day...are you really testing tonight?? I've already used two (bit of bad maths) and found it so disappointing to see the bfn. Had kind of made up my mind to wait till Friday (when af is due) but I'm not known for my willpower

Cazzr · 14/12/2009 19:32

NancyDrewRocks: Was planning to wait till 10dpo but think i'll start at 8 so probably thurs morning as think I have my cd's a bit off.. They are cheapie ebay ones tho so not worried about wasting too much dosh.

Been thinking, was soo much easier with DS, didn't realise I was late till a week over AF due date (never used to pay attention to my cycles) and I swear it was a whole lot less stress, only needed one test and it was just to confirm what I kinda knew (had been having 'car sickness' and weeing lots and finally put 2 and 2 together..) As this one is planned I'm doing my head in!

nymphadora · 14/12/2009 17:53

just been to GP to check BP and DH came as we had questions about endo.

We came away with blood form for 21 day test and DH has a sperm test.H e said we may as well check everytghing out now!

legallyblond · 14/12/2009 16:03

Thanks for the welcomes! I didn't expect to be on a bus until next month, but hey ho!

I am DETERMINED (at my mother's advice actually) not to test, ever, until I am a week late with af..... that should save me some of the emotional rollercoaster and I will just not drink/alter my diet as if I am pg, just in case - even if it does mean I am not drinking alcohol over xmas when I may not even be pg.. sigh!

Just worked out I may be on this bus for a while... my cycles are always always 28 days, so, I think (using the MN ovulation/due date tables) that if I am/get pg this cycle, I am due on 4th Sept, and if its next cycle, I am due on 30th Sept... so 2 Sept due dates! no sure how that works... surely that gives only 26 days in a cycle... hmmm?!

Also, a rather TMI question I am afraid... I judge (or think i judge as it is so textbook) ovulation by egg white CM. Is the first day the egg white consistency appears ovulation day? If it is, it seems my luteal phase is quite short... I seem to ov on day 11, 12 or 13... I may be wrong... this is all hazy stuff from a level human biology! I am now a lawyer so all scientific knowledge is the distant past!

sparechange · 14/12/2009 15:32

Hello ladies
How are you all?
Welcome to the newbies

By my reckoning, today is 10dpo and I'm getting itchy testing fingers

I think I might have to do a secret test tonight, as I've been weeing like a racehorse today and have convinced myself it is a symptom...

Anyone else testing soon?

NancyDrewRocks · 14/12/2009 15:18

Hi all

Elsa heffalump kawaiiko and anyone else struggling with the two week wait but restrained enough not to have mentioned it just want to say I feel your pain!

I ovulate late so no where near testing but still counting down the days!

Anyway quick straw pole - how many dpo do you manage to stay away from the tests?!

muser sorry to hear your news: that is rubbish.

legallyblond welcome

Elsa123 · 14/12/2009 14:44

Afternoon! I don't mean to symptom spot, but I've totally gone off sex, I cannot bear to think of my boobs being touched and I had some very light pink spotting (sorry if TMI) last night, so I am wondering. I'm not normally like this on this day in the cycle, but I'm wondering if the cycle is just pratting around. I WILL wait to POAS until Mon/Tues if no AF!! I WILL NOT WASTE MONEY EARLY!!! Repeats to self like a mantra...

legallyblond · 14/12/2009 11:41

Hey lovely ladies

Just wondered if I can join...?

DH and I had decided to officially start TTC next month, in Jan, but... that seemed to fly out of the window this weekend and ended up, ahem, bd on days 13 and 15 of my cycle (I think I ovulated this month on day 11/12). Probably not any chance of pg, but hey, I guess I am on boad the bus!

Thankfully, as I was planning to TTC from Jan anyway, I have been taking folic acid for a few weeks and am up to date on smear test etc.

Stats are:

TTC#1, cycle 1, ucl 28, cd 16
