Eadwacer · 18/01/2010 08:42

Ooooo Congrats to MadameG as well, this is really exciting!

Hermya - sorry to hear about AF. But - I don't know if this helps - when I cam off the Pill I'm sure I became super-fertile (should've TTC then - d'oh!) - I had a 21 day cycle for 3 months, definitely ovulating each time.

pixiestix · 18/01/2010 08:38

Well done MadameG - what a fertile lot of people we have on the thread at the mo . Mind if I come round to your house and rub up against you for a bit?!!

Fudgecat - I've just noticed that we have the same cycle day, so we can go a bit mad together this week! Any symptoms? Still got sore boobs?

Eadwacer - Just looked and saw that no one ever answered your question about what CD stands for - it is cycle day!! The list looks a little insane because some people forget to check in when they get their period so we end up with Frolickers with CD540! but once you scroll down a little it all becomes more normal. By putting your cycle day in you can see exactly who is coming up to ovulation, who is at the start of the dreaded 2WW, like Claire, and who is at the end like me and Fudgecat right now!!

Oh god, I am symptom spotting like mad even though I vowed not to this month. Rembember the stretching "incident" about ten days ago , well I am having the most peculiar pain in my abdomen when I roll over, or stretch up. Sort of like when you do too many sit ups. Its like a vertical line half way between my belly button and my bikini line. I've been trying to convince myself that it was down to the over-stretching, but it only came on yesterday, and thats ages since. Weird, weird, weird. So instead my baby-obsessed mind is going mad trying to figure out what is happening. It hurts!

zippys · 18/01/2010 08:30

Morning eveyone,

Hobnob and MadameG huge congratulations. Like the others have said if you had not had a bfp after all those symptoms Hobnob then we may as well give up symptom spotting

Thanks everyone for asking about my head, it is a lot better now, sore when I wash my hair but ok other than that. However still feel sick, had to pull over the car this morning as thought I was going to be sick while driving! At least I will have practice for when I get real MS!! Still having tests but they are pretty baffled, hopefully real MS will take over soon

Kkas lol @ TMI post, I was reading that on my phone in town and got a few funny looks when I laughed!!

Worrisom I love your comment 'we have done quite well this month' - they should hand out gold stars for good bd'ing!!!

Pixie any symptoms yet? Wednesday is not too far away.

Hermya sorry af has arrived, although dont they say that you are uber fertile just after withdrawal bleed from the pill?

Ceebs how are you feeling now? Any other symptoms, could the sickness be pregnancy related?

Drewsgirl I know what you mean about people asking, at the moment I deny we are trying for a few reasons. When I started to feel sick everyone at work was asking if I was pregnant, but people dont realise how hard that can be when you have been trying for so so long

Aly sorry AF got you, hope you are feeling ok.

Fudge how are your boobs feeling now? When are you planning on teting?

addie it is hard when you both work long hours isnt it, are you going to be working those hours for a while or is it just a busy period?

bunny hope the cramps are not too bad, hope you are enjoying some wine and chocolates - well not at 8am in the morning!

Claire I know what you mean about wishing away time, I fell like that all the time, want AF to go, then want to ov and then wish away 2ww!!

Chance sorry not used ov stick as I have such a long cycle I thought it would make me obsessive (well more obsessive than I am already!)

Yorkshire they do say the month people go for tests is the month people concieve so if they are both timed at the same time then this may be the month for you. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I think I may be due to ovulate tomorrow based on EWCM etc, but DP is away tonight! But we Bd'd on thurs, sat and sun and will make sure we do tomorrow, so I just hope we haven't missed this month.

Anyway really must got on with work have loads to do.

Pidgin · 18/01/2010 08:19

Congratulations MadameG and Hobnob!! Hobnob, it's amazing to think that all those months ago you started the 'waiting to ttc' thread and now you're not only no longer waiting, you're no longer ttc! Best of luck to both of you, lovely to have such good news on a Monday morning...

Well this week was the first time I have ever deliberately had unprotected sex! In the end I think I ov'd a day or two earlier than normal, so I'm not sure we got there in time, but the whole 'not preventing pregnancy' instead of ttc thing seems to have gone out of the window for the time being... So am now beginning my first 2ww and not sure whether I will manage it without going crazy.

Yorkshire I totally know what you mean about the lack of romance - and for the first time I feel like I'm pestering DH for his sperm, it's a weird situation! Imagine it gets familiar pretty quickly though ...

How is everyone else doing?

DrewsGirl · 18/01/2010 08:08

Hooray for Hobnob!!!!

Worrisome & Mumnerves - I have bought some Conceive plus lube, i have now read the back of the pack and im not convinced that it will make a diffrence, it just looks as if it is better if you do need lube normally. What you think?

Aly - It sounds like a good idea telling people but i found the only people we have told keep asking about it and it gets me down because it has teken so long. Although my SIL did take 18months to catch and so its nice talking to her about how we feel. I dont think i would tell anyone else though, i dont think i could stick the grilling.

Pixie - OMG i didnt even think of that, maybe 2 is a good thing!!

Hermya - We bought all our bits off the internet, i would be way to worried to but it in boots or something and see a friend! Oh my god i am so broody i even go all gooey when i see a baby at asda! My collegue just had a baby and when we went to see her i just didnt want to give her back!

My mum told me last night she was broody and i said uh i think your a bit old for that! Then she said no im broody for a baby that call me nan can you be broody on someone elses behalf?

Chance - i used the cb ov test normal and i didnt trust them so i bought the digi ones and still no surge ...

Congratulations Madame G aswell!

Hermya321 · 18/01/2010 08:08

MadameG Oh my gosh, congratulations!!!!!!!!!!

Thats four BFP's this month!

Yorkshire Yep Febuary will be a good month I feel it as well.

maamalady · 18/01/2010 07:52

Wow, another one! Fantastic news MadameG! Congratulations!

MadameG · 18/01/2010 07:34

Congratulations Hobnob!

Well- can you please add me to the graduate list too? I did four tests last night and they all were BFP!!! I was staring at them in disbelief for about an hour- we've only been properly trying for a month and I wasn't expecting at all to be pg yet, in fact I only did the first of the four tests to rule pregnancy out nonchalantly because my AF was late again.

I keep thinking 'were the tests defective?', 'should I do another 4'? But apparently no, I need to get my head around being a September mummy!

I'm sprinkling baby dust on all my first time frollicker compadres and hoping that I'm not hallucinating these results!!!

Calyx · 18/01/2010 07:28

I'm late for work, but CONGRATULATIONS Hobnob

YorkshireTeaDrinker · 17/01/2010 23:31

Thanks for posting the link to the grads thread Claire. hopefully we'll all be making our way over there before long...

YorkshireTeaDrinker · 17/01/2010 23:28

Wow, things are moving on apace here!

Congratulations Hobnob, that's wonderful news. We're of to a flying start this year.

kkas lol at you leaking in Tesco's car park! However, you did the dead on what is probably ovulation day, which is great. Fingers crossed those little swimmers do the business this month.

zippys, I agree with Worrisome that a zita west lite approach is probably best. I have one of her books and I am adopting some suggestions (multivitamins for me and DH, reduced caffine, started doing pilates) I am not trying to adhere to all the instructions.

fudgecat achey boobs eh? Sounds promising. Any other symptoms?

Good luck to all those coming up to D-day - here's hoping for more BFPs.

And also commiserations to those who got hit by AF. Don't worry - February is going to be THE MONTH for BFPs, I can feel it in my water...

I am approaching ovulation (have misplaced my thermometer, so relying on CM and OPKs this month. Going on past performance I expect to ovulate any time from CD15 - 17. We have been attempting to BD everyday, and have managed to do so since Wednesday. It's pretty unromantic though.

Our 2ww for test results is now coinciding with my actual 2ww. We have our next appointment at the GPs a week on Friday (CD28). I think this wait is even more fraught than the usual one.

claireinthecommunity · 17/01/2010 23:12

hobnob, graduates thread here I'm loving the sound of your excited little bubble and think it's perfectly normal for worries to creep in - see you on the grads list soon (hopefully)

Chance - sorry no experience here with charting but I'm sure you'll get lots of advice soon from some of the others

Thankyou Hermya, you too

Hermya321 · 17/01/2010 22:29

Claire Fingers crossed for you during this 2WW!! I hope you get to graduate soon.

Chance I'll be poas this month as well. Fingers crossed you'll OV in the next few days.

Hobnob76 It's been really nice sharing in your excitment over your BFP. I'm really excited for you and can't wait to hear how you get on as your bump gets bigger and bigger.

Hobnob76 · 17/01/2010 22:19

Hobnob76 · 17/01/2010 22:12

Aww thanks ladies, it was so lovely to log on here and read them! I tested with Superdrug early tests and internet cheapieswhiteroses I can't quite believe that we've got our BFP tbh, I feel a little scared of miscarrying too but we've spent the day in our own excited little bubble which has been lovely!

chancewouldbeafinething · 17/01/2010 21:56

Sorry this is going to be a long one...
hobnob Congratulations!!!! we hope to be joining you on the grads thread soon

ceebs fudgecat are you next?

mumsnerves I am still laughing, but what i would really like to imagine is that there is a dance to go along with the song...maybe something like the moves for blame it on the boogie I think we must be at about the same stage of the cycle...I will try the song and see if it brings any luck!

kkas you poor thing i can imagine anything worse that leaking in a tescos car park

Something for the diet coke lovers i found this article (i know its old) and it made me feel a bit more normal...there is someone who drinks more DC than me
www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2002/oct/29/healthandwellbeing.health

aly323 Its strange how people start to tell you about their experiences once the know you are ttc, my sister has obviously been blabbing to her friends that i am, so now i am receiving advice from the other side of the world about charting etc (I am originally from Sydney) At least it makes me feel a bit more normal.

So I have decided to start on charting on FF, still POAS everyday no ov yet. Should be in the next few days. DH like the idea of practicing just in case the test is wrong. WHich I was surprised about as he went MTB today for 5 hours, I have told him that is it for the week - his boys need to be strong

Has anyone else used the normal CB ov tests? (I am wondering if i should have got the digi ones, if i dont see a surge i will be using digi next month) Oh and i think i must have been the only one who was not taking their temp...got a new digi therm so i am starting tomorrow i might be too late tho for this month.

Good luck all

bunnygirl80 · 17/01/2010 20:46

Congrats HobNob That's fab news, although I have to admit I'd have been shocked if you got a BFN this month after all of those symptoms you were having!

mumnerves · 17/01/2010 19:53

HobNob what great news! So pleased for you!

We are now in the bd stage so just waiting for the opks to show me double lines! Hope everyone had a nice weekend and looking forward to more BFPs!

maamalady · 17/01/2010 19:50

HobNob - fantastic news! Congratulations!

Hope there's a few more BFPs for everyone else on the way too!

WorrisomeHeart · 17/01/2010 17:55

Oh HobNob that's such fantastic news!!! Am soooo pleased for you!! How do you feel? Have you taken it in yet? I hope that like whiteroses you'll continue to lurk on this thread - it'd be great to keep hearing how you're getting on! Oh yay yay yay more grads! Just one thought - can I be next, pretty please with a cherry on top?

Well, I've had a very nice weekend - went out for lunch with my folks today as a belated birthday treat for me and DH (his is a couple of days before me). Was lovely and I ate far too much.=, so bang goes the diet for this weekend! There was this lovely little girl toddling around, probably about 1yr, and she kept coming over and giving us the biggest grin - my heart just melted!

And temp is up, so looks like I'm well and truly into the 2ww now, although I think DH are going to try BDing once more - to 'seal the deal' as he so charmingly puts it!!

Sorry for the mostly me, me, me thread, will try and catch up properly soon! Have a great Sunday all!

claireinthecommunity · 17/01/2010 17:19

Oh wow hobnob, that's fantastic Congratulations

Lol at kkas and your leaking incident

Sorry to hear about your fall Zippy, how are you doing?

Yes Aly, people do open up if there's a shared experience - nice isn't it!?! I suppose TTC and eventually being PG and having a child will create all new friendships and understandings between others

Capricorn, not sure I like the sound of that, especially if you need to mix it with something else to make it more palatable - good luck with it

Sounding promising fudgecat - good luck And also to all those coming up to D-day

I hope Kaloki is doing ok, she had to move out of her home because of power cuts and a gas leak when the weather was bad - hope you're back soon

I'm at the beginning of my 2WW now, I don't think I've wished time to move so quickly since I was a little girl and it was near to Christmas

Hermya321 · 17/01/2010 16:43

Whiterose Ahhhh your apple pip sounds like it's coming along nicely.

Pixie Yeah to be honest I think it's AF, the other thing that made me think that was an OV test which came back negative. Oh well, twas a distant hope. So I'm now TTC#1 Cycle#1 UCL ? CD1.

Hobnob Thank you, I'll just take that FX for this next cycle.

Ceebs Hopefully not the takeaway!!!

My DH caught me stealing a hug off of one of the church members 2 week old baby during the coffee break this morning, didn't help that he also caught me cooing over the six month old twins at the end when we were all packing up. I couldn't help it, they're so so cute. He just smiled and rolled his eyes, he is really excited but not as baby crazy as I seem to be at the moment.

I was buying my OV tests as well today and I kept looking over my shoulder fearing that someone I knew would come along and tap me on the shoulder and say 'Ooooo what do you have there?', and then the cat would be well and truely out of the bag. The fear of people finding out. LOL! Thank goodness for MN.

fudgecat · 17/01/2010 13:41

congrats hobnob

im now on CD26 and have had achey boobs for the last two days i just know that this week is going to drag..... grrrrr
