Just popping in (typo'd there - just wrote 'pooping in' - glad I noticed!) to see what's doing... Curly! AMAZING scan pic it's beautiful! Well done! It made me smile and I've had such a busy day, I'm so knackered, still have to make something to eat, but I'm still smiling from seeing it, thanks for putting the picture on your profile.

I'll get some time to do a proper post soon. Feeling slightly AF-ish but nothing yet, this is my normal day for AF so will see what happens over the next few days. I've got a pack of cheap preg tests from Amazon so if nothing tomorrow I'll try one ooooooh!

Good luck to everyone who is testing too, better be off before I eat the keyboard xxx

rollerbaby · 07/12/2009 19:19

whiteroses - 2 stone?? I can't actually face getting on the scales... which is funny considering I was weighing pre and post early morning wee leading up to the wedding. TMI I know...

this was just so we knew all ok before Xmas - don't think budget will stretch to any more private scans!

Wow Curly, how amazing is that!!

CurlyCasper · 07/12/2009 18:45

was private, cost £75, lasted half hour - but well worth it. They did so much - even checked my ovaries. The gender thing is a long way off - so we'll see. I'm quite a control freak so perhaps the outcome is inevitable...

rollerbaby · 07/12/2009 18:37

Ooooh Curly!!! Just seen the picture. Woweee!! So exciting. Are you going to find out the sex? I never understand how people wait to find out. I have zero patience whatsoever! Whats IYSWIM?

Whiteroses - thanks for the guilt free excuses but if you only knew how much weight I had put on since our september wedding... yikes I am such a cliche.

Thanks honey, it was brilliant (pic on my profile)

I'm afraid I had no symptoms that stood out. I even started to bleed a few days before I thought AF was due, with all the cramps and everything. Had been irregular so just assumed it was AF. However, when I start I start IYSWIM. But this started then stopped, but I was left with really intense cramps. So after that, and when I got to when I had originally thought I was due on, I tested and got a BFP. It was faint on a cheap dip stick until weeks later, but clear blue confirmed it right away.

In hindsight, my immunity also dropped really quickly. I had a diahorea (Sp!) bug and skin infection (which I'm still fighting) the week I tested.

Otherwise I've been ok. No morning sickness, luckily, but I am utterly exhausted and permanently ravenous. And I have a really itchy belly and lower back - apparently down to hormones and blood flow in that region! Mustn't complain though, when I hear of how sick others are.

I really hope you all get to experience these joys for yourselves soon

rollerbaby · 07/12/2009 17:19

How brilliant Curly - it must be so wonderful to see your little one before your eyes! How are you feeling generally? By the way, as one who knows, did you have many symptoms before your BFP?

Thanks whiteroses - I am trying to do just that now, and have just eaten half my advent calendar. oops.

CurlyCasper · 07/12/2009 16:44

Morning all,
Well, after worrying that I wasn't going to ever get a high reading on my CBM, now I am worrying that its never going to say "peak" - I've have a high reading for the last five days which means my oestregen (sp?) levels are up, but no peak, so no luteal hormone levels rising. Arrgghhhh!! Why do I worry all the time about this stuff? Why can't I just let it happen????
Ozzie - good to hear you had some holiday action! I know what you mean about your imagined Feb baby - I was imagining an April baby when I first started trying and was busy planning when would be best to start my materninty leave in March. How naive!
Yorks - I think its a good idea to go and see the doctor in the New Year. He may say that everything is fine and then at least you can stop worrying.
Honey - I am ROFL at the idea of your DH as a performing seal!! This TTC lark is so unromantic! I have to confess, I don't do the legs in the air for 20 mins thing anymore - LadyEmmaLou pointed out that sperm are pre-programmed to swim acrosswards rather than downwards which I thought sounded fairly sensible, and then she went and got a BFP the next week, so I am taking her advice all the way!!!
Hamster - welcome back after your internet woe. How amazing would it be to get a BFP on your wedding anniversary! Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Wow, this feels like a long post....

hiya!

back from a very relaxing weekend in the cotswolds. a bit rainy on saturday, but not too bad. and yesterday we were very lucky with sunny blue skies during our brisk morning walk. and mission accomplished with the ann summers surprise for DH! now if only i can keep him interested for the rest of this week.... i know what you girls mean about timed BDing stressing the poor guys out!

Also got christmas tree and decorations out last night so am feeling much more in the christmas spirit. hopefully this positive attitude will help with the BD this week .

whiteroses thanks for asking about me - I haven't been around as home internet connection crashed and incompetent gits took till the weekend to get it up and running again (arggggh!)
Am now on cycle 2, and on CD 26. Pretty sure that I ov'd quite late on day 20, so still early days! My last cycle was 32 days so going on that will try to wait until the 13th to test. Will be my 1st wedding anniversary that day, and it would be a great present for us if it was a BFP!

claireinthecommunity · 07/12/2009 01:53

Hello all

We had a lovely day, lunch was great - thanks MadameG.

Good to have you back Ozzie, pleased to hear you got some action whilst you were away, I remember you saying you were almost writing this month off - now you never know!...

Yorkshire, we're trying for an active couple of weeks too, we're trying every other day for as long as we can manage it - so far so good! Best of luck with it

Christmas - yes I'm beginning to feel it now, have got DH's gifts sorted, will buy some cards in the week to send and am thinking about getting a tree soon. We usually work straight through Christmas but this year there is less work about, so, we should get a bit more time at home

Ozziegirly · 06/12/2009 22:46

Hello everyone

Firstly, sevans I'm so sorry to hear your news, I hope you're doing ok.

Hello to newbies, always nice to have some new faces on this thread.

I had a nice holiday with my parents, very good to catch up with them, and DH and I actually managed some vaguely well timed bonking as well which I was NOT imagining. It turned out the place we were staying in had bedrooms not close together at all as I assumed we would be rather put off if my parents were close by!

Anyway, now on CD21 and no symptoms (as usual!), but I have taken 5 flights in the last 9 days and that has often thrown my cycle out before.

Maybe January will be my lucky month. It's amazing to think when we started trying I (foolishly) thought I might be due a baby by February.

YorkshireTeaDrinker · 06/12/2009 20:31

Evening all,

I'm feeling quite Christmassy after reading honeymoo's post - I may need to go and dig out the Christmas decorations!

We are gearing up for an active couple of weeks of BDing this month. I'm going to go easy on the OPKs and just aim for a scatter gun approach through out the Follicular phase (DH's suggestion!) This is our last cycle of hoping for the best - I've decided to go to the docs in the New Year, just to check if there's anything in particular stopping us. I am prepared to be patient, but I don't want to carry on waiting for nature to take its course if there's something obvious stopping us that could be identified and sorted out.
