Hi ladies, mind if I join this thread?

I'm TTC 1, cycle 2, UCL 26?, CD 24. I am failing miserably in my intentions not to get my hopes up and, despite feeling that AF is going to arrive any day now, am struggling to resist the temptation to get out the first response. This TTC business is messing with my head!

aly323 · 15/12/2009 18:47

Whoa, lotsa typos, sorry about that.

aly323 · 15/12/2009 18:45

CJ your bit of bleeding sounds very positive!! I'll be very impressed if you hold out till Friday. If it was ib, you probably wouldn't have detectable HCG levels for another day or two at least.

It looks like I'm out. Temp dropped and spotting has begun. I'm going to wait for it to really kick in before I update my states. I'm kind of wondering if I've been jumping the gun on cd1. My af is so light, I can't always tell the difference between spotting and full flow. Does anyone else find themselves really hating the "cycle" part of their stats? I didn't mind when it was 1 or 2, but as it gets higher, it's starting to really irritate me.

It seems that the b helped at least a little. Ozzie thanks for the agnud castus tip. I'm considering it, but it seems that it helps most for estrogen dominance, and I'm pretty sure I have low estrogen. I'll try the soy this cycle and then reconsider for next cycle.

CJ2007 · 15/12/2009 18:27

Thx white roses!! We'll see how my will power holds out!!!

Not as yet! I'm thinking I should hang on till af is due which is Friday.... Think it's best if I keep busy and try not to let my imagination run away with me... Easier said than done!
Hate the whole not knowing what my body doing!!!

That really made me chuckle Pixie - loving the Christmas name.

Best of luck with your promotion WhiteRoses and with your break from TTC. Yes do stay around, I did when we took our break from TTC, it's lovely to hear how everyone is getting on and I think with my situation it was also a little encouragement to start trying again - but I know our reasons for taking a break are very different. And thank you for your kind words in a previous post about being pleased that things seemed to have settled into place for me

Ozzie and Aly, I'm keeping an eye on the thread for any news from you two

Good luck for tonight kkas

Not much to report from me, just in the 2ww and noticing every little twinge and ache and thinking maybe... When I was taking a break from TTC I had two whole months where I new I was definitely not PG and stupidly thought I would remember how a normal period felt - no chance, you just forget, very frustrating

kkas · 15/12/2009 13:54

EWCM this morning!!!! thought it was all over for this month as i'm already on day 21, but really haven't seen a thermal shift and now this. thanks girlies for all your suggestions in getting me to try the grapefruit juice. it really does work.

might try to jump DH this evening although i will try to be subtle about it. i'm sure he will be able to figure things out though just like aly said. but i think this def calls for his fav nighty

turkeydrumstix · 15/12/2009 11:01

Hello,
Tis me, Pixie, in my Xmas name!

Ozzie - I haven't heard of Agnus Castus, I will have a look as this month seems to show that I have quite a short luteal phase. Good luck with the testing! That will be me in a few days!

WhiteRoses - you definitely need to hang around even when you are not TTC, think of all the gossip tips you will pick up! My birthday is September 16th. I am holding off checking when my LO's due date would be if I conceived this month as I have checked every other month and am superstitiously wondering if that is bad luck No logic, but I am grasping at anything that will give me that BFP!

Loving these Xmas smilies!

aly have you heard of Agnus Castus for regulating cycles? I hear it is very good at lengthening and regulating the luteal phase.

agnus castus

aly323 · 15/12/2009 02:45

Fingers crossed Ozzie! No symptoms/ every symptom, you just never know!!

I'm guessing I'll be starting tomorrow as I have a tiny bit of brown tinged CM and tested BFN this morning (10dpo). So, it looks like I have at least lengthened my lp by a day with the B vitamins this cycle. The acupuncturist is going to give me some herbs later this week, and I think I'm also going to ask about taking soy isoflavones to try to move my o up in my cycle.

I was really hoping for a BFP this month since my due date would have been DH's birthday. Darn.

WhiteRoses, I totally agree with you regarding talking to your SO about what's going on. You two seem to have really worked it out. Mine can always figure out what I'm up to anyway, he knows me too well. He's always "come through" for me, it just hasn't always been easy. Are you taking a break because of your promotion? When you do start in the new position? Of course we totally expect you to stay with us and to keep us updated. It sounds as though the break may actually be a good thing for you, you have an excellent attitude about it!

Ozziegirly · 15/12/2009 00:55

Whiteroses good luck with the non TTC for a little while.

I think if AF doesn't arrive today I'll probably test tomorrow. I'm on CD29 and my UCL is 28, but I have had a 30 day one before so I'm not rushing, as I basically have no symptoms at all.

So sorry to hear your news Muser , hoping to see you back on here soon.

Have been enjoying temping this month, used internet cheapy OPKs and they managed to correspond well with my temp so this really helped us focus on the best time to get busy - gives me something to to do every day as well so I'm not just symptom spotting, but find I'm obsessing over charts instead

Babysat niece and nephew at weekend - managed to get poo on the carpet when changing DNe's nappy, much to the delight of DNi! Hoping to get more practice at the nappy changing thing soon

Muser so sorry to heat things aren't going well, thinking of u.

Ozzie your post made me laugh, yours too aly!

Good luck with the move bunny.

Love the crazy symptom spots, being happy at getting a cold, sore breasts or feeling sick is just nuts, funny what TTC does to us! I had a much earlier AF this month and for a little while I was thinking 'implantation bleed'.

Had to tell DH to stop reading my posts too, think he's got bored of spying now, too much girle chat and hard to decode abbreviations for him!

Thankyou for the kind words about our dog, it hasn't been easy to get through but time, as they say, is a great healer. We have another dog and it's hit him hard too so we're concentrating on making him feel happy and loved.

Another friend has recently announced her pregnancy, what a great time of year to do that! DH was worried I would be upset which is ridiculous, I just want us to have one too! Several friends are pregnant just now so I'm hoping there's something in the air and it will spread to all of us soon!

pixiestix · 14/12/2009 11:17

Ozzie - "well, at least it'll empty them out a bit and make way for nice new swimmers". and

Yorkshire - I'm in the same situation - I can only MN at work and I'm permanently terrified of someone looking over my shoulder and finding me talking about my CM or something!! And I very often sit here shaking with laughter and pretending that I'm just having a coughing fit.

Well I'm with you all the way on the symptom spotting madness. I have the beginnings of a cold and I immediately thought "Ooh Curly said that her immune system dropped as soon as she got pg!" and began to get really happy! You know that times are bad when you start getting hopeful over a cold!!

Oh Muser, I'm so sorry. TTC really sucks sometimes. I always thought that when I finally got that BFP I would be over the moon, but after six months on Mumsnet, hearing so many sad stories, I think that when it does happen I will just be scared stiff. I hope you have your DH and good friends around you, but we are always here to talk xx

OP posts:
YorkshireTeaDrinker · 14/12/2009 11:07

Aly and Ozzie* your posts have just made me splutter tea all over my keyboard. MNing at work is not a good idea, especially in an open plan office (although I've just changed desks no one can see my screen now).

Ozzie, I think I'm symptom spotting on your behalf now. Spots and cramping have got to be a sign. Are you going to test?

Bunny congratualtions on the move to the new place - are you moving into a family sized house? Hopefully you'll be able to fill it before long!

We are slap bang in the middle of the green zone and DH fell asleep too early last night If this month conforms to the pattern of previous months then I'll ovulate on Wednesday, so I'm aiming for BDing every (other?) day until Thursday, then we can relax for a bit. Like others, I think do the deed any time beyond ovulation is a waste of effort!!

Good luck to all of you coming up to testing. Fingers crossed for 2 magic lines. and lots of hugs for Muser.

Spirael · 14/12/2009 08:35

I'm sorry things don't seem to have worked out this time, Muser. It's a rough thing to go through. Be sure to take it easy and be kind to yourself! Duvet days are perfectly acceptable, it's a major physical and emotional trauma to go through.

I hope everyone else is doing ok. Still keeping my fingers crossed for a few more BFP's before the end of the year!
