congrats ozzie what a wonderful christmas present! brightens up my up-til-now miserable snowy day in london!

CurlyCasper · 16/12/2009 12:24

still lots to catch up on but HURRAH FOR OZZIE!!!!!!! Excellent news, so pleased for you

chalky3 · 16/12/2009 11:51

Congratulations Ozzie, that's the best Christmas present ever!!

Ozziegirly · 16/12/2009 10:59

THank you!

I just told DH and he is now grinning like a loon and getting excited too, bless him.

I refuse to get too excited as I know the risks, but it is a wonderful feeling!

Yes, I reckon it is a definite good sign for us " thread oldies"!

I love your christmas name turkey

turkeydrumstix · 16/12/2009 10:35

Ozzzzzzziiiieeeeeee!!!!!! - OMG!! I am so excited and so happy for you! And so so jealous . Ahh, thats made my day! And like Zippy says, that must mean good things for us "oldies" on the thread. Yay!!!!

I don't have any symptoms of pg yet - that is obviously a really good sign! Lol!
Isn't Mumsnet a weird place? Yorks - when I heard that you were "awash" with EWCM I was really envious! What a thing to be jealous of!! I took my EPO religiously from CD 1-16 this month and didnt get any results at all Maybe it takes a few months.

Welcome to the madness Ceebs !

Honey - sorry about Af, but I can guarantee that you will have lots of fun (is that the right word with your new fertility kit. I am totally addicted!

CJ2007 · 16/12/2009 10:32

Oh wow Ozzie!!! What amazing news! So pleased for you....

Ozziegirly · 16/12/2009 09:37

Aww, zipppys that's lovely!

I really hope it happens for everyone really soon. I was sure we were doing something wrong as it wasn't happening.

Thing is, I didn't feel all that relaxed on holiday! We were away with my parents which is why I had ruled anything out this month - so it wasn't exactly a romantic getaway

Maybe that's the trick everyone should try - quiet sex, with your parents in the next room. Maybe this is why so many teenagers get knocked up.

zippys · 16/12/2009 09:30

sorry this morning my posts are full of typo's - maybe its the excitement

zippys · 16/12/2009 09:29

Do think that it comes down to relaxing? As you said you didnt think it would happen so it has?

I know I keep thinking of how good it would be to be able to tell my parents on Christmas day - what a present! I would try to hold off till you tell them it will make thier Christmas.

I may not be pregnant but I think I have hormones on the loose right now as sat here with a tear in my eye. As much as I have been really pleased for alot of the other BFP's, like Pixie said the other day there was a few of us who were all on the thread at round the same starting point and therefore to see you get your BFP makes me belive mine may also be round the corner (and everyone elses )

Ozziegirly · 16/12/2009 09:22

I keep staring at it, thinking it was all a mistake.

I"m home alone at the mo, and keep saying "I'm pregnant" outloud and then bursting into tears

I really hope it's good news for you too - it would be an amazing Christmas present.

I may hold off and tell my parents the news on Christmas day as well, it'll make their day!

So bizarre as this was the one month I wrote off as we were away.

And we literally did NOTHING different to the previous 8 cycles - had sex on CD11, CD13 and CD15 and that was it. And this was the one month I didn't do the grapefruit juice and evening primrose oil (as I couldn't really cart it up to Queensland).

Just goes to show, it is sheer fluke when it happens.

zippys · 16/12/2009 09:16

Dont worry about one glass of wine, you will be fine, I am so happy for you.

Dont worry about the symptoms I am sure they will come, just enjoy that pink line

zippys · 16/12/2009 09:15

Sorry got so excited on last post I sent it before I had finished.

Another lightening post from me again, broadband should be back up by this weekend will catch up properly.

No real update from me, still feel sick on a morning going back to docs next week, but think it is not pregnancy related as I have had a period and had 3 BFN's! I am in 2ww right now, AF due on Boxing day, but I do have 2 tests at home. If AF symptoms I may try testing on Christmas eve, how good a Christmas present would that be!! , although not getting hopes up as hardly BD'd this month and dont feel pregant!!

Ozziegirly · 16/12/2009 09:12

I just can't believe it!

I literally have not a single symptom - apart from no period and a nice pink line on a stick.

Shit! I even had a glass of wine with lunch today (client christmas lunch, I"m not just a lush) as I was so convinced I wasn't pregnant.

zippys · 16/12/2009 09:08

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS OZZIE!!!

I am so pleased for you, I have been reading down the thread ctahcing up and thinking oh it sounds good I wonder if Ozzie has tested yet, and then was your latest post!!!

I am sitting here sobbing and laughing at the same time.

I can't believe it!

I don't think it's true.

Ozziegirly · 16/12/2009 00:32

Thanks claire - I would be so happy if it happened, but I just don't have any symptoms at all.

Still, maybe I will be lucky.

Mind you, I don't have any AF symptoms either (apart from the couple of spots!)

claireinthecommunity · 16/12/2009 00:07

I was reading this thread earlier and found it amazing.

claireinthecommunity · 16/12/2009 00:02

It really does play with your emotions, you so deeply want to be PG but you're too afraid to believe you could be, because of the disappointment if you find out you're not.

I'm hoping for me that the festive season (and our work load) will help to take my mind off of it...

I truly hope it is good news for you Ozzie

Ozziegirly · 15/12/2009 23:34

THing is, I think I feel deep down that I'm not pregnant, which is why I'm not in any hurry to see that "Not pregnant" on the test!

I can fool myself at the moment that I still might be.

claireinthecommunity · 15/12/2009 23:17

Oh Yorkshire that is frustrating, let's hope you've already done enough, but an extra one in tomorrow won't hurt

Ozzie this is getting exciting , you are doing so well to be holding off with the testing. My AF is due on Boxing day and I'm planning on not buying any tests so I have to wait until the shops re-open to get one I totally understand the could be PG thing, even now I'm imagining that I've conceived and we'll be celebrating our good news over Christmas - I can't help but day dream and hope.

Ozziegirly · 15/12/2009 22:41

Morning - no news yet I'm afraid. I was going to buy a test last night, and I know this is really silly, but I didn't because I don't want to jinx it.

Also, at the moment, I feel like I could be pregnant, but as soon as I take the test and it's BFN then I know I"m not. I do realise this is a bit daft, but I have no symptoms at all.

Also, I know flying can mess up cycles, and I took 5 flights in 9 days right in the middle of this cycle, so I"m pretty sure that just threw off ovulation a bit.

I am on CD30 today, which matches the longest cycle I"ve had before, so I think I will wait and if nothing happens today or tomorrow I'll test on Friday.

YorkshireTeaDrinker · 15/12/2009 22:32

Ozzie I am getting excited by your lateness. Any news? Are you going to test today? Really hoping for a BFP.

CJ, fingers crossed it was an IB. I think you are sensible to try and hold off testing till Friday, as any eariler will probably give you a BFN anyway.

I'm very hopeful for more BFPs by Christmas.

Much frustration here. I'm awash with EWCM and DH is staying away with work tonight. We did manage to BD yesterday and I'll leap on him as soon as he gets home tommorow evening, so hopefully that will be enough.

claireinthecommunity · 15/12/2009 20:44

Welcome to our thread ceebs05 I've put you on the list - all the best to you for this month.

Sorry to hear that Aly and Honey, I haven't changed your stats Aly but I have changed yours Honey - hope that's ok.

Oooh CJ, I have everything crossed for you

Any news Ozzie?

WhiteRoses I thought I would be PG by Christmas, today we bought a Christmas tree and whilst we were decorating it I wondered (and hope) that we will have our first baby by next Christmas - I imagine buying a 'baby's first Christmas' bauble for the tree next year... It's difficult and frustrating isn't it!?!

Bah humbug AF has got me. Day 40 too. Not happy about that but not surprised either. what I do have now is a shiny new fertility kit, courtesy of my DP's one click Amazon account (he doesn't know he he he) so let's get scientific!

Back to day 1 which is kind of a relief actually and also I kept forgetting to take the folic acid last month, so this month I will do better I promise!
