WhiteRoses My back is feeling a bit better, thankyou. Even braved the outdoors today, only for it to start hailing

We've decided that if my period doesn't show up by boxing day we are going to test again.

Looks like the signs weren't so positive, just got a BFN, but no period still so who knows what's going on.

claireinthecommunity · 21/12/2009 15:25

A very quick post from me, just got home from Christmas shopping and lot's of things to get on with here.

Happy Birthday kkas

WhiteRoses, good to have you back in the game - not on the game as I first read it

Good luck with the testing Zippy

don't worry - it's a girl's prerogative to change her mind! i'm glad that you feel good about your decision though.

DH is taking me a romantic French restaurant near where we work in the City. should be very nice he is already in my good books for waking me up with pressies this morning (chanel chance perfume and one of those wake up light thingys - i suffer from the winter blues being from california) and a nice card! and work isn't too busy today, most people being on holiday. so it's been a great day so far

morning guys

whiteroses so exciting to hear you're back! i totally understand where you are coming from. although it was not an issue of a promotion for me, if i could wait to TTC until next summer, it would mean probably a lot better maternity package. but i can't wait (and who knows, it might take that long anyway). so we're just going for it anyway. so nice that you have made your decision and DH is supportive

DH and I spent 2 lazy days watching rubbish telly and movies over the weekend too DH wasn't too well, so no BD, but already ov this month anyway.... looking forward to more lazy days over Christmas!!!

my sis told me on friday that she had her coil out last week and as soon as she sorts out some health insurance (she is in the US), they will be TTC #2. although i am really excited for her, and it would be brilliant to be pg together.... part of me is a bit sad because what if she falls pg straight away? not sure if i could deal with that..... but no use dwelling on it. my BFP might be around the corner any day now (although i am pretty sure it's not this month).

in other news - today's my birthday bet you all knnow what i'll be wishing for when i blow out the candles!

Hello

This is another lightening post I am afraid as so busy at work and have day full of meetings!

Just wanted to say hi to everyone new - I am not normally this rude and would 'speak' to you all individually but so so busy at mo.

Muser glad to see you back, let hope it is a Jan baby for you

Claire, Elenora and Kaloki it all sounds v promising.

I have the same dilema as you Claire AF due on Boxing day, only have normal cheapy asda tests in that say only work form day of missed period, but would love to know before Xmas, so I think I may well be testing on CHristmas Eve, the if BFN then have Christmas eve to sort my head out for xmas day and then if BFP (please please be BFP) then best Xmas gift in the world. Dont have any symptoms (expect sicknes every morning for last 2 months - off to docs again this week)

If any of you are not on here untl after Christmas have a briliant Christmas and just hope that we all get the gift we are after

Calyx · 20/12/2009 22:48

Hey Muser lovely to see you, I'm sending you good wishes and I hope you do have a really lovely Christmas after this horrible month xx

at Yorkshire saying I'm 'energetic' not in the morning, half asleep more like (really sorry if TMI from me)

And my fingers are crossed for Eleanor, Claire and Kaloki too

Muser · 20/12/2009 22:33

Hello Frolickers, I'm back following my MC. AF has arrived, glad she decided to come before Christmas as don't think I could face that on Christmas Day. Hoping I'll bounce back quickly after the rubbishness of this month. Here's hoping for a January baby.

Evening all,

Very promising symptoms from Eleanora, Claire and Kaloki. Fingers crossed for some Christmas BFPs.

Claire sounds like a good plan to test (as long as you won't let a BFN put a downer one the day) as if it is positive that will be the best Christmas present ever.

I am settling into the 2ww. I think we have managed to DTD at pertinet times, so fingers crossed. I don't have particularly high expectations (February is going to be my month ). I have my first blood test on Wednesday morning, which should determine if I'm ovulating ok.

Good luck to all those BDing at the moment (Calyx you sound to be being very energetic! ) - I hope your efforts are fruitful!

claireinthecommunity · 20/12/2009 19:36

Thanks Curly Yeah we are v busy with the music at this time of year, as you would imagine. I'll think of you (and all of us) when we do Baby Love by Diana Ross and The Supremes

Eleanora, I too had the poking in my lower abdomen, mine was on the left hand side. I'm really hoping mine was implantation and yours too

Calyx, that's happened to me before now, so frustrating. Good luck for the morning

Calyx · 20/12/2009 19:22

I'll just say 'hello everyone' and welcome to Hobnob

Managed to jump DH in the morning and again this morning, will maybe wake him up before I go to work tomorrow too. I really want this to be the month.

I've got to go now but I'll check in this week and catch up properly. I had a lovely long post with bits to most of you and I really can't sit and type it all again. Sorry! I hate when that happens!

Calyx · 20/12/2009 19:19

SOB!!! I just sat 20 minutes and typed a huge long post and just as I pressed 'preview post' it CRASHED and now it's GONE

Sighhhhhhhh humphhhhh grrrrrr.

CurlyCasper · 20/12/2009 19:04

oops claire I'd missed out on your promising symptoms! Good luck

Eleanora · 20/12/2009 19:02

Evening all,

What a beautiful snowy day! Am really getting into the Christmas spirit now. Hobnob we have just started TTC this month and are taking the same approach as you ie checking CM but not doing any temping/ charting etc.

Claire and Kaloki - it sounds like you both have potentially promising symptoms. I had some very light spotting on days 20 and 21 which has now disappeared (definitely wasn't AF). Also since that time I have felt a sort of poking feeling in one particular place in my lower abdomen on one side. Does this sound like implantation? Or am I clutching at straws!

CurlyCasper · 20/12/2009 18:49

evening ladies. liking the sound of things for you kaloki!

hobnob are you the same hobnob I was chatting with while WTT? (here and on B&B?). Whether you are or not I wish you the best of luck! I've graduated but like to pop back and see the lovely ladies on this thread.

Hope you are all well! claire sing one for me!

Kaloki · 20/12/2009 18:38

"I feel it would lead to an obsession and I'm really trying to stay laid back about the whole TTC thing"

Me too!

claireinthecommunity · 20/12/2009 17:26

In fact, so laid back that I've already posted five times on the thread today, this being my sixth
