Worrisome If it stops you worrying, then it's a good idea.

Mumnerves Welcome!!

mumnerves · 29/12/2009 21:06

Hello everyone, I've been lurking for 2 months and TTC for 2 cycles, so good to read other's experiences and paranoias too, makes me feel like I'm just being human!
It's like today when a lady at work announced she was pregnant to everyone and I just felt like a big bunch of sour grapes! Had to fake a smile all day when I was just really dissapointed inside

I'm not usually like that and I know we've only been ttc for 2 months but trying hard with tracking vd etc and going to start taking BBT next cycle too, Just wanted to say thanks everyone for sharing

WorrisomeHeart · 29/12/2009 18:37

Oh Zippys, how frustrating to have to wait longer for the blood results! Any idea when that will be?

Sevans - glad things are getting better for you, hope it continues.

Well, AF due tomorrow and all the signs are pointing to her arriving.. So thats 7 months down with no BFP. I know it's not long in the grand scheme of things, but it's hard not to get disheartened. DH and I have decided to go and get some private tests done, just to rule out any issues. So am going to call a couple of clinics tomorrow to see about getting an appt. What do you all think? Are we being unnecessarily impatient? My feeling is that if we were pushing to get the tests done on the NHS I would feel selfish for taking the clinic's time when there may not be anything wrong, but as we'll be paying for it, I don't feel so bad ... crazy huh?

Hope everyone has had an ok day even if it's been spent at work!

zippys · 29/12/2009 17:06

Sorry sevans forgot to say hope you are feeling a little better now. You have really had it rough. As you say at least you have lost weight over Christmas instead of putting it on.

zippys · 29/12/2009 17:04

Hi quick update. Bloods need redoing as problem with sample. Urine test bfn but was from before Xmas. Still no af. V v confused with my body.

sevans · 29/12/2009 16:44

Oh zippys, any news? Here is hoping for another BFP!

Got my blood results from yesterday...Hcg levels dropped significantly from 2200 to 920. This is great news. Doctor wants me to test again next Monday. I hope I get another good drop. Also did blood work for CBC (complete blood count). They wanted to test for an infection since I had a fever over the weekend. No infection (probably thanks to the antibiotics I have been taking) but they did discover that I am now anemic. Probably due to the blood loss these past four and a half weeks. I am going to get some iron pills today which will hopefully help with the weakness, fatigue, occasional dizziness and other symptoms I have been feeling. I recently discovered that I have lost about 7 pounds. I knew I wasn't able to eat as much because of my illness but I hadn't noticed a change in the way my clothes fit. I guess I have only been wearing tights with long sweaters and loose jeans this whole time because I haven't felt well so maybe that is why I hadn't noticed. I need to try on my tighter jeans to check the fit! I have been wanting to lose about five pounds so I guess this is the only thing good that came out of this damn miscarriage.

NovemberAli · 29/12/2009 14:15

Congratulations Eleanora, am crossing my fingers for more to join us with September babies

Hope you get some good news from the doctors Zippys

Muser · 29/12/2009 14:14

Any news from the docs zippy?

zippys · 29/12/2009 13:34

Thank you for the support but just tested with cb digital and fr and both bfn!! Af still not here but pretty sure she will rear her head soon. Got a letter from doctors to ring after 2pm re my results from blood tests but pretty sure they will just be negative too!

addie81 · 29/12/2009 13:12

Dont give up hope Zippys, surely absence of AF means there is still a good chance of an August/September arrival.

Muser · 29/12/2009 10:10

It's not over yet zippys, don't give up hope until AF arrives.

zippys · 29/12/2009 09:55

sorry kkas cross post, hope you enjoy some pamper time

zippys · 29/12/2009 09:54

Morning everyone,

Congratulations Elenora that is such good news. I bet it was such good news after spotting. What a lovely late Christmas present

addie I would say that 10 dpo would be a bout right but as usual I would say it is sometimes better to wait until you are actually late as a bfn so early may not actually be a bfn.

Hello and welcome to worrisome sorry to hear you think that af is on its way, hopefully it is not.

kkas sorry to hear about af, is it just spotting still as there coould still be hope. I spent the millenium with my ex just the two of us which was lovely, this year we are having family round.

Bunnygirl I hope the weather got better.

Mrschino it may not be a long cycle but a bfp. keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Ozzie lovely to hear from you, hope you are doing well and not too much sickness or tiredness.

Calyx hope it wasnt too cold and work is quiet for you today.

Any news from Claire?

I am now 3 days late and no spotting at all which is very unusual as when I have had a long cycle before I have had spotting. I have other symptoms such as the sickness which has really bad this morning. Had a nosebleed and had a rash on my legs (can be extra oestogen) BUT did cheapy test this morning and BFN

The test was a cheap (3 for £1.44) one, a dip one. Part of me says go get a cb or fr and test again and the other part of me, just says accept it and get on.

I am still waiting for my blood test which I may get at 2pm this afternoon but I just feel like my head is in so much of spin right now. I had convinced myself that I was pregnant and now so so upset

Anyway enough of me me me, uodated list

Urghhh back to work this morning! Just peeping in and wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS Eleanora, yayyy that's brilliant news!

Worrisome Welcome to the thread, excellent to see you best of luck!

Hiya Ozzy 6 weeks 'gone' already eh!

Better go and de ice the car, oh it's too cold and early to be out!

Ozziegirly · 28/12/2009 23:07

WOW, congratulations to NovemberAli and Eleanora, that is such wonderful news, I am so thrilled for you. And extra great for it to happen at Christmas.

Turkeydrumstix I"m sorry to hear that AF arrived after being 5 days late - that is so annoying. I had one cycle like that and was convinced I was pregnant as well.

Claire sorry to hear about your negative, but maybe it was just too early, Am keeping fingers crossed.

I am 6 weeks pregnant today - still feeling fine really. Bit tired and tender boobs but no sickness yet!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas xx

bunnygirl80 · 28/12/2009 23:06

Congratulations Eleanora

Muser · 28/12/2009 18:46

Congrats to the BFPs, commiserations to the AFs. Hope the New Year brings everyone the babies they want.

sevans · 28/12/2009 18:34

Wow, two BFPs! How wonderful! Congrats NovemberAli and Eleanora! What great news! And good luck to all of you near the end of your cycles testing soon!

WorrisomeHeart · 28/12/2009 17:42

Lol mrscino - my horoscope for June says... 'Something is about to change - Big Time - in your home and family life, Capricorn. Oh, but not to worry - this will be one of those changes that brings you joy, and lots of it.' And we all know how reliable horoscopes are, I should probably book my maternity leave now huh? Mind you, not happy about having to wait until June for a BFP...

mrscinco · 28/12/2009 16:38

Anyone else checking out their 2010 horoscopes in the vain hope it may say something along the lines of

'Saturn's influence will bring wonderful news - you're going to have a baby'

or some such like. I'm clutching at straws, I know.

mrscinco · 28/12/2009 16:31

Hello all - hope you've all had a lovely Christmas. Wow so much to catch up on!

Congratulations to Nov Ali and Eleanora, lovely news, you must be so chuffed.

Sorry to those who have been caught by AF - bloody irritating/frustrating/depressing no doubt. Fresh start and all that ...I know it's no consolation though.

CD 27 and i'm on a long one this month. I've been very up and down - know exactly what you mean by the hormones worrisome!!!! I swear I never used to get any PMT or AF symptoms until I started all this but now OMG i'm tuned into my body so much now I know every little change! Think i'm out for this month too as been getting cramps for over a week now - been a bit teary about it today hormone alert but trying to remain positive.

Was helped at Christmas by very sweet in laws who were telling me how long it took them to conceive and the heartache it caused -I didn't bring it up BTW but think it's quite obvious that nothing is happening for us - only for them to have happy healthy children & grandchildren. Makes you put things into perspective - and slightly more hopeful that this time next year it will be a whole different story.

Also i've read a few distressing posts on different threads which again makes you thankful for what you have. Getting very philosphical with the end of year - can you tell?!

Sorry i've not been able to read all posts and respond but needless to say hopeful for any of you testing soon and hope it's a fantastic start to 2010 for us all!

WorrisomeHeart · 28/12/2009 15:33

Ooh this is a lucky thread - many congrats Eleanora, fab news!

Thanks for the welcome all! Have been slobbing on the sofa watching Cranford and getting all welly... blinkin' AF hormones!! She's not arrived yet, but is making her imminent presence known!!

Kaloki · 28/12/2009 12:56

Congrats Eleanora!!

Sorry to hear about AF kkas

Welcome Worrisome

turkeydrumstix · 28/12/2009 12:24
