Hi all
Firstly welcome chancewouldbeafinething and good luck with the move kaloki

Thanks for all the lovely thoughts ladies but af last night and really horribly too

Also one of my best friends txted me to tell me she was expecting #4 which just ended up in me being really upset all day. (to be fair she doesn't know we are ttc) I just felt like such a failure and so useless. Never thought TTC would make me so irrational and such a jealous person!

bunnygirl80 I agree with you, I was symptom spotting so much that I practically convinced myself I was pregnant. Really need to chill myself out and stop looking for it. It's just so hard though!

So glad I've got DH who just let me cry on his shoulder when I got home.

Ah well, try again eh? I've already downed 2 glasses of Baileys and now feel a bit better

whiteroses I don't say much, but I love your long posts

bunnygirl80 · 06/01/2010 22:06

Good luck with the move kaloki Whiteroses Don't worry about your long posts, I love the way you always find something to say to everybody here. Sounds like santa was very generous to you. I got a dressing gown and some games for my Wii. Unfortunately my Wii is on a boat somewhere between the UK and Oz so I won't be able to play them until March.......patience is a virtue I suppose. If only I could apply that thinking to TTC!

Welcome chancewouldbeafinething I've noticed that most of the people who get BFPs seem to be the ones saying that for once they have no symptoms-so perhaps we should all be "lack of symptom spotting". Certainly none of my RL friends with children ever had any symptoms.

I think my DH is finally getting excited about TTC (although he has been excited about the extra bd all along!). I was really hungry all day yesterday and he kept asking me if I thought I was eating for two. And he keeps stroking my tummy, which he never ever does! It's quite sweet but will have to put a stop to it next week as his parents are staying with us, and don't want them to know what we're up to (thankfully they're here during 2ww/AF rather than BD time as the walls here are thin )

Hobnob76 · 06/01/2010 21:36

Sparkly not sure when I OV'd exactly either but it was prob the same weekend as you. Yep I swear it does go slower! I spend ages waiting to try, don't know which is worse, waiting to try or waiting in the 2WW!

kaloki hope the move goes well

chancewouldbeafinething · 06/01/2010 21:29

Cheers for the warm welcome all
Hope that everyone avoided the cold weather and stayed in instead.
I am trying not to imagine any signs that this cycle might be the one...had a good chat to my sister today who told me that she never had any signs of being pregnant or morning sickness in either of her pregnancies.....so patience is apparently the answer for now

YorkshireTeaDrinker · 06/01/2010 20:45

Good luck with the house move Kaloki. Fingers crossed you'll be nesting in your new nest before long!

Kaloki · 06/01/2010 20:32

Also, good luck to everyone for the next week or so, I shall be thinking of you, but may be going a while without the net while we switch over.

Kaloki · 06/01/2010 20:31

I'm waiting to see what happens this cycle. Got so much to do right now, I just don't have time. (Moving house tomorrow - as long as the snow doesn't cause more problems)

If my period appears early I will go right away, otherwise I'm waiting till I'm on around day 35 of this cycle to go to GP. Unless of course I get a BFP, though I'm not expecting to this month. I think I OV'd the other day, so we shall see what happens. I'm praying that AF turns up on day 28 like it used to!

sparklyrainbow · 06/01/2010 20:17

Thank you for the nice welcome

Thought that when I added myself Hobnob, I think I ov'd weekend just gone but tbh don't really know for sure so just waiting now. Time really seems to slow down in the 2WW doesn't it!

Fingers crossed for everyone...

YorkshireTeaDrinker · 06/01/2010 19:52

There's nothing wrong with you WhiteRoses - I like your long posts!

If you're getting EWCM and are pretty confident that you are ovulating, then you are right to not be concerned at this early stage. I think you're right, it is probably too early to go to the GP, they would probably just tell you to wait and see anyway. Which is the best course of action. Its early days for you yet and you've bags of time.

If there's one thing I've learnt over the past few months, its that conception is an art (and a dark one at that!) not a science and sometimes we just have to be patient. Not always easy...

Evening all,

Welcome Chance and Sparkly, lovely to have you join the gang.

Calyx to hear that AF is on its way. Hopefully cycle 8 will be your lucky cycle! In the meantime, kkas has some hot chocolate on offer - so go indulge yourself!

Good luck to all those of us in and around the BDing zone. It can be difficult to pin point the best time (and I really relate to your point about not getting worn out too soon kkas!) but keep going and remember, its supposed to be fun!

Chin up Pixie. Hope you manage to accost your DH. It's cold outside - just the right conditions for an early bedtime . Fingers crossed you get one of our first BFPs of the new year.

WhiteRoses sounds like santa was good to you! Its frustrating that TTC isn't more of an exact science.

Kaloki I echo WhiteRoses' question - are you planning to go to the docs? Also, WhiteRoses, do you have any plans to talk to the docs about your irregular cycles?

Heres hoping for more BFPs soon. Good luck to all

Welcome Chance and Sparkly!

Belated birthday wishes to Curly and Claire. I can't believe that you are on your second trimester Curly - that has flown by!

Sorry AF is imminent Calyx It never gets any easier, does it.

I hit peak on my monitor today so am about to ovulate any second now
I feel pretty bleak though this month, no idea why. As if all this is a bit pointless because its never going to happen for me. Seven cycles is quite a long time to keep getting your hopes up so I suppose its natural, and you never know, I might get a lovely surprise this month! But at the minute I could really do with a duvet day to hide from the world Not the best mood to accost DH in!

Lots of new people! Welcome everyone!

Hobnob76 · 06/01/2010 11:29

SparklyRainbow welcome, you and I care on the same cycle day.

chance welcome, hope you have a short stay here!

Curly and Claire hope you both had good birthday's

kkas would love a hot choccie! Mmmmmm

As for me, this month seems to be going so slow! We only TTC casually last month, so this month is the 1st that we've really gone for it. I think I'm about 3/4 or 5dpo (don't temp so not actually 100% sure when I OV'd but had + OPK on CD 14)nothing to report, just that I'm finding the 2WW hard going!

kkas · 06/01/2010 09:57

aly it sounds really promising for you this month so i am keeping my fingers crossed. and good luck with your trials later this month.

chance welcome! i've added you to the stats and glad to have you along.

Day 10 for me here so i suppose i better get down to the BDing, although if my cycle is anything like the last two, i won't be ov for another 10 days so i better not get too excited or we might get worn out. i'm away for a girlie weekend in paris too, so hopefully we can get down to it next week when i'm back (absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that!)

also been very good on my diet this week so far but think today's weather might warrant a hot chocolate. anyone care to join?

Thanks for the further birthday wishes, frolickers! aly Gifts are not really my husband's strong suit either, but I did loudly declare at New Year that I could really do with a massage. For once, he listened. (I am amazed!)

Hope the cold isn't hindering anyone's TTC plans

chancewouldbeafinething · 06/01/2010 07:48

Hello Ladies! I am just starting TTC too, stupidly thought this would be easy!
I am on cycle 2 and CD 20...and couldnt stop myself from testing today even though i know it is too early, so just wasted the test
I never thought about how hard the 2WW would be.
Looking forward to hearing all your success stories to keep me positive

Calyx · 06/01/2010 07:22

Hi girls, welcome evilgiraffe and sparklyrainbow

I'm only on for a wee minute, almost late for work. Thought this month was the month but due this morning and although temp hasn't dipped, it's not gone up any more for a few days and had one tiny 'spot' this morning (sorry if TMI) so I'm not even testing with my internet cheapys because AF is so going to hit within an hour or two I thought this was it. Ho well. Roll on cycle 8 sighhhhhhh.

aly323 · 06/01/2010 03:43

Happy birthday Claire and Curly!!! Mine is in two weeks (Capricorn, too!) and I would be thrilled with a massage or diamonds, but would be shocked if DH thought of either. Gifts really aren't his strong suit. Last year he got me a cordless phone. I can only imagine what it'll be this year. You ladies are lucky!!

Welocome to evilgiraffe and sparklyrainbow! I love your names. I'm really wanting a new name all of the sudden. If this cycle doesn't take, I think I might just treat myself to a more exciting new name.

I had a positive opk on evening of 20 and morning of 21, with a temp dip on 20 and rise on 21. BD'd cd17, 19 and 20, so timing was good. Now we just hope for the best.

I've got a very stressful few weeks coming up at work. I have two murder trials set in the last week of Jan. (these will be my first murders and I'm totally nervous!!!)Stress can push back my ovulation, so I have decided that if this cycle doesn't work, I'll just take it easy next cycle and set our appointment with the fertility doc in late February- after the madness passes. I can't help but hope this cycle works though. How cool would it be to do a murder trial in my first trimester?!

It looks like we've got a bunch of testing coming up. Fingers crossed for everyone! We had 5 BFP's in Dec.- wouldn't it be great if we could top that in January!

bunnygirl80 · 06/01/2010 01:09

Welcome evilgiraffe and sparklyrainbow

Happy birthday claire and curly

I'm crossing my fingers for you mumnerves - maybe you just tested too early on Sunday?!

FF seems to have decided I ov'd on cd23 - I'm pretty sure it was a couple of days earlier than this, but who am I to question the mighty fertility friend Will definitely have to hold off on testing at the end of my ucl though as if FF is right then I'll only be 6dpo - not even first response is that sensitive! Will try and hold off until the middle of next week if no AF before then.

Kaloki · 05/01/2010 21:50
mumnerves · 05/01/2010 21:34

Thanks worrisome and addie, I buckled, reached for the first response and tested on sunday morning but got a BFN

BUT am due tomorrow so I'm trying to calm myself down and wait till thursday or friday like a good girl should!
