Hermia321 Welcome to the thread!

Bunnygirl80 I agree, they do sound promising, we'll have to see!

evilgiraffe at the lorry!

pixiestix Oooh, didn't realise Whiteroses* also had this symptom too

chalky3 Sorry AF got you but yay for having a shorter cycle. My boobs are still sore today, hurt so much! I'm trying not to test til I'm actually late (AF due 19th) as I drove myself nuts testing last month!

whiteroses see above re testing, I really don't want to test early if I can help it. Still getting cramps on and off and tummy still feels 'heavy' too. Lol at your tummy rumbling!

Welcome hopinggotasnowydayintheend

As for me, I'm still driving myself nuts symptom spotting, it's so hard not to!

My boobs are even more sore today and the veins seem really bluey and more prominent than normal, and I've had backache all day too. My eczema's broken out, usually a sign I'm coming down with a cold or something. I've had a headache on waking for the last few days too. I just don't feel right, but I'm trying so hard not to read too much into it.

I'm going to try not to test until I'm late, I drove myself nuts doing tests last month!

aly323 · 13/01/2010 21:38

Chance, we just worked out the same deal! Mine rides a road bike and rides A LOT. I finally pulled out some articles and he agreed to try to "take it easy" one week a month. Hopefully that'll do the trick, I don't even want to think about what'll happen if he has to cut down more. No one can really truly understand the insanity of a cyclist unless they've lived with one!!

I think af is on her way. It really bums me out..

claireinthecommunity · 13/01/2010 21:26

Just a quickie from me, hello everyone

I found your thread WhiteRoses see you there soon!

Welcome to Hermia and Hoping

I'll pop back when I've got a bit more time to post.

chancewouldbeafinething · 13/01/2010 21:21

Sorry I was only gone for a few days and there are so many new people to catch up with...

capricorn76 you are not alone! I have been minus one tube & ovary since i was 17 (now 31), it is hard not to worry. But it sounds like you have it all sussed. Good luck and let us know how you are getting on

aly323 nice to know (or not) that there are other cycling widows out there, mine is a keen MTB so out a couple of week nights and most of Sunday each week...have to book in BD early so he doesnt get back too tired...it is an issue that drives me mental, but he has agreed that for 1 week a month he can 'slow down'

Yes I heard about Danni Minougue, totally possible that she was here...who could she have been?? very nice for her...who knows maybe Kylie will be next.

Hope to hear some more BFP soon

fudgecat · 13/01/2010 21:17

i hadnt thought of that chalky you may well be correct

so.. if you are lurking Dannii congratulations!

chalky3 · 13/01/2010 20:56

Did anyone hear that Danni Minogue announced her pregnancy today? She's due in July apparently. It makes me wonder whether she has lurked on MN and possibly this thread over the last few months [celeb stalker smiley]! I'm sure famous women must read MN posts, they have even more need than most to keep things discrete.

Hello

Would you mind if I joined you?

DH and I got married just before Christmas and have been trying since then, BFN last month (and got quite emotional about it to be honest).

I've been monitoring my cycle with a CBFM as I had my Mirena out just before our wedding and have been paranoid that nothing would be 'working' for a while. Fortunately things seem to be ok - definitely ov'd last month (well, according to CBFM) and had cycle of 32 days, just hope this month's works as regularly!

May I please be added to the list?

Hoping TTC#1 cycle 2 UCL 32 CD3

Thanks!

Sevans I'm so sorry to hear of what happened to you. I hope you are starting to feel better now and that your terrible experience hasn't put you off trying again sometime in the future.

evilgiraffe your body may be doing strange things now you've come off the pill, I know mine did. I came off the pill in July last year and this is the first cycle that AF has arrived when I expected. Doesn't stop me hoping in vain each time though! Love the number plate spot, you must be on here too much!

whiteroses I think you should start a 'First time frolickers graduates' thread then we can all join it if/when we graduate and continue the journey with eachother. I prob would stalk it too along with kkas!

Welcome fudgecat, drewsgirl and hermia321! bunny hope you don't need all that tampax!

hobnob are you going to test, if so, when? Not very encouraging as AF is here now but I had such sore boobs yesterday I had to take my bra off when I got home, I feel your pain!

kkas interested that the docs told you to come and see them after nine months. I was told when we first started TTC that they wouldn't do any investigations until we had been trying for at least a year. Would hate to have to wait for tests after so long trying so maybe getting an appointment after nine months would be a good idea. Hopefully won't have to see the docs at all! Glad you're healthy though!

chalky3 · 13/01/2010 18:51

AF arrived with a vengance this morning which was what all the strange symptoms I've been having obviously were for. At least this time my CL was what I would consider 'normal'!

hi guys - just updating fudgecat

had to do one of those annual health assessments today and 3 doctors weren't able to find a vein to do my bloodwork! they tried both arms and even my right hand. finally gave up and said to come back on monday to try again. i have had problems with this before last time i had a checkup and i think my mom also had the same issue. i sure hope nothing is wrong with me TTC-wise as i don't know if i could cope with all the prodding!

healthwise i'm ship shape though and doctor was very understanding re TTC and said i could see my GP at around 9 months to start the process of investigations if nothing has happened by then. also did a pelvic examination and she said everything looked good so just need to relax and let nature take its course.... easier said than done!

Sevans - I can't believe it took them 6 weeks to diagnose your ectopic pregnancy. It was so obvious that something was very wrong and that this wasn't a "normal" miscarriage. I am furious and so sad that you have been treated like this. Come back to us all for a rant and a cry whenever you want.

Welcome Drewsgirl and Hermia! This is such a fast moving thread these days!

Giraffe - Ooh, we are all doing the absolute worst thing and fuelling your hopes, but it soooo does sound like implantation bleeding! Fingers crossed!

Hobnob - sore boobs and a "heavy" stomach?!?!?! I am keeping my eye on you! That sounds very very hopeful. Roses described her stomach as feeling exactly that way!

Worrisome and Clare - good luck with the BDing!

Calyx - the race is on! My husband is going to be 42 aswell in just a couple of months and he is also getting "the fear" that it is something to do with him. Personally I think we have just been unlucky, or mis-timing things most months, so we just need to keep going at it! Well, thats what I say when I am having a good day...
I actually LOL'ed at "Swim! Swim for your lives!" Very dangerous in a shared office! Wow, the quotes that we come up with on this page, Mumsnet could do a book just on us!

WhiteRoses - I'm with the others, I will definitely be stalking you if you set up a Graduates page! I need lots of pg/baby news to keep me motivated. And I'm sure there must be lots of nervous newbies out there who need to panic about things that more experienced mums would scoff at.
My relationship with my mum is odd. We are very close but I get the feeling that it is on the condition that she gets to baby me a bit and "look after me". She'll do really sweet things like send me £20 every now and then so I can treat myself to something, or send me a pair of socks in the post if it is cold, but I get the impression that its because she thinks of me as a big student! As though I would blow all my money and forget to buy socks! If I even remotely mention pregnancy she completely freaks out and tells me I am only a baby myself. I am 27 btw which is a fairly respectable age to be TTC. I have done two degrees, but she thinks it would be much more sensible of me to go back to "school" than to start a family. (We are from the UK not America so the use of the word school is just weird!!! ) I just dread the moment when I have to tell her I am pg.
I don't know, its very hard to explain. I probably just sound like a brat!

Well, I am nearing the point at which I can test! AF due in a week. After last months 33 day cycle, getting all hopeful and then all crushed, I will probably test this month, just so I don't get all excited if AF doesn't arrive. The not knowing was too cruel last month, and I was so depressed when AF came that I could barely get out of my pjs for Christmas. None of that self-indulgence this month! I will be sensible about the whole thing. .... probably!

I am loving the pg signs - Bunny buying Tampax, and Giraffe spotting that lorry!! Obviously this will be the month that the whole thread graduates, and then Roses won't need to create a new thread after all!

Calyx - thanks for all that info! i have been lurking for a few days and i also had a look on here when we first started TTC and i have been wondering what some of it meant especially AF i have been running through every name i could think of for that time of the month and came up with nothing!

How long is an implantation bleed? I only had 1 day of light bleeding then 1 of hardly anything which is really weird for me, v regular normally

I hope its not this month as i just shelled out for a batch of ov tests for this month! Well i dont hope its not this month i would love it!!
