right then,

DH has decided that after two regular cycles post EP we can try again....was very excited about that prospect until it hit me like a thunderbolt....i only have ONE TUBE NOW....of course i knew this but now i really KNOW this IYSWIM and now feel a peculiar mix of and of course and at the whole situation we find ourselves in....

I want to be positive that it will happen and won't require assisted conception but am really nervous and scared it is going to take forever....or not happen at all....{trying not to think like that....}

calling all one-tubers for a bit of handholding and good old MN support......lets go through it together....

i think i am depressed....this year has been so awful and the my friends are having the babies now that would have come after my first MMC and i am really happy for them and their little fat bundles but i feel so empty....i just wish it had of been different. the thought of ttc again seems so pointless today.....wow....what a downer, even i would avoid me if i could today!!

apple.......GET ON WITH IT GIRL....

i am a bit down after this month to be honest, i keep thinking that i should be five months pregnant by now....sucks arse big time, i know i don't have to explain that feeling to you guys....

i saw my doc the other day and he is going to let me try naturally until march and then will refer us to fertility specialists....hopefully we wont need that appointment....

Sorry boodle have a nice big glass of wine (or what ever your cheer up / pamper yourself thing is!) and grab a nice big hug from DP!

apple for what its worth I think your right, keep trying, even if you don't try very hard!

Appleton · 10/12/2009 13:23

Oh boodle, I really had my fingers crossed for you this month. On the bright side lots of Christmas SWI then!

I'm swithering on whether to try this month, or leave it til Feb. I can't try in Jan, as I'm abroad for 3 weeks in Feb just about the time I'd need an early scan.

So, if I go for it this month (and am lucky enough to get preg first time!) I shouldn't drink at Christmas, will feel awful in Jan when I'm really busy at work and in Feb when I'm on holiday. But, September baby would be nice!

Do you think I'm over-thinking this?! As if I'd be lucky enough this month. Sod it, I think I'll try anyway! For some reason I don't want to waste a single opportunity now.

boodleboot · 10/12/2009 10:23

I am banning myself from early pregnancy testing from now on.....what a waste of time and money. Af is on her way now....bloody mucus indicates her arrival....need to be far more balanced.....feeling very annoyed and very for getting hopes up....ah well....september babies it is then!

onwards and upwards....

Hi Guys, sorry I have been AWOL
apple great news that you can try again, how are you feeling about it?
Scrum I always get down straight after AF, but usually bounce back around time of BD'ing hope you feel a bit more positive soon!
boodle are you still getting BFN's? I am going to sound very school marm ish now and give you a good ticking off for using tests too soon, I know it is realy hard not to (and I have been guilty of it as well) but it really does no good and it wont change the result ultimatly, if you are, you are, and if your not, your not. As the least paitent person in the world I find it really difficult... but have been getting better. This is where I find temping does help. Anyway lecture over... I hope AF han't visted yet and all those tests were wrong!

Scrumdiddlyumptious · 08/12/2009 11:56

meant to say not going anywhere...am not blessed with the first time grammar fairy dust in this thread....

TopSop · 08/12/2009 11:50

Just dropping in to offer some support and positive vibes to all the one-tubers out there.

I had my right ovary removed in 2004 due to a large ovarian cyst. We went on to ttc (with some assistance from a digital thermometer), and within two months of trying we were pg. Unfortunately we lost that baby at 10+2 (MMC), but then went on to conceive our DS after 4 months of trying, again while temping and charting using good old FF. DS was born two days before my 35th birthday. I am now 20wks pg with our second (20 week scan this afternoon, woohoo!), and this time (again temping and charting) we hit the jackpot the first month of trying. I will be 39 (there or thereabouts) when this one arrives - due date is four days before my birthday!

Don't give up - one-tubedness is not a handicap as long as you are still OVing.

Positive baby vibes coming in your collective direction!

Scrumdiddlyumptious · 08/12/2009 11:43

Hi Ladies. Not going anyway and will be cheerleading for all of you I promise. Boodle, I may have misread this but please please don't think you would make me feel better by not being pregnant yourself. I honestly would LOVE anyone in my situation to become pregnant quickly as I know how shite it is not to be...seriously, HUGE good karma to everyone on this thread. Just hope we get some back before May next year. Stupid I know but am hungup on my big FOUR O!...feel young but feel my poor old one tubed body is feeling somewhat older...appleton..thank you so much for your kind words and am excited that you can feel like you can try again...good luck and all positive vibes from this side of the world...xx

boodleboot · 08/12/2009 10:29

apple it is so great that you are finally TTC for real again....brilliant news. I am still not pregnant....even the cheapies really don't look like there is a line there anymore.....i have no idea what is going on with my body clearly as i would have laid money on the fact that i was preggers but hey ho....feeling bit down and gloomy today.

Thrush is vile today aswell which really doesn't help my mood....also AF is bound to make an appearance today as i am usually bang on 28 days so as clearly not pregnant she must be getting ready to knock on the door....

OP posts:
Appleton · 07/12/2009 19:17

scrum - I hope your positivity comes back soon. I'm sure when ov date approaches it will! It's just the first few days of dealing with the next cycle. So depressing!

boodle I'm OK, thanks for asking! If it helps, I'm sure a got a negative on a Clearblue digi a few days before getting a positive with a Tescos cheapie. It does sound like you have lots of promising symptoms, so I'm keeping everything crossed for you. If it's not your month just remember it was only cycle 1 of this attempt, though I'm sure with all you've been through this year it feels alot longer!

I had my follow-up appointment at hospital today. I felt a bit anxious going back to the hospital, which wasn't helped by the fact that they lost my notes for an hour and a half!

When I was finally seen, the registrar said I was fine to start trying again whenever I wanted - I thought I had to leave it another cycle but he said not. So, looks like I'm now officially TTC!

boodleboot · 07/12/2009 16:08

scrum - don't go anywhere tho....i am more certain that this is not my month. CLearblue Digi said very clearly not pregnant this morning and you would think that it would be able to detect one day early....internet cheapies can not be relied on clearly...i have one more CB Digi and will try that if AF not arrived tomorr but i just don't thinkk it will be +ve...

appleton how are you?

Scrumdiddlyumptious · 06/12/2009 21:41

AF for me...hey ho, back to the drawing board - at least can have a few drinks over christmas I guess she says looking on the brightside...good luck to everyone else this month x

boodleboot · 05/12/2009 10:57

still nothing certain to share from me....stil getting very very faint lines on early sticks but not darkening in colour or anything yet....boobs really heavy and dog tired and covered in spots with extra greasy hair so really looking a treat this week...

this last week as gone very very slowly for me....prob cos i have been POAS and scrutinising every stick for 20mins....kinda makes the time drag eh....

i am getting a bit despondent now too that AF date is approaching, due on tues and i am always right on the money timewise...sort of feeling like there is no way i could have got pregnant first time trying after EP....its just too fantastical to consider now i think....

OP posts:
Scrumdiddlyumptious · 04/12/2009 08:24

Gosh the the months DRAG by when you are TTC don't they. I POAS (early ones) three days in a row "just to rule it out" & have VOWED not to buy anymore this month as am sure am not & about to open bottle of wine & drink half of it (I'm in Oz so its evening & not raving alco at 8am ; ) to prove to myself that I don't actually still hope that I could be pregnant & that I peed on the sticks too early! Wish I could fast forward a few weeks so we could start trying again. Outwardly to my friends here (have only been here for 2 years so not really deep or close friends) I am all 'what will be will be if we only have one child then we are blessed and we will have a wonderful life and make the most of all the opportunities only one child affords us' but inside I am mad looney 'give me one more baby PLEASE'.....I don't think it helps that the due date for my ectopic pregnancy would have been my 40th birthday and somehow that seemed so perfect and so 'under the wire' that I feel like it has all turned to shit now and I have 'lost' my chance. Will give myself stern talking to & be much more positive next week...in the meantime transfering my positivity to you all xx

Appleton · 03/12/2009 21:53

Thanks slimyak - good news stories are always welcome!

boodle I really have my fingers crossed for you. It's strange not knowing what's going on in your own body. I find it really odd relying on a stick to tell me what's happening!

Well, AF arrived for me today. I'm pleased I can get on with this cycle now, and then it's time to get on with TTC!

slimyak · 03/12/2009 14:05

ladies,

just adding a good news story. My sister is a one tuber and has two lovely boys.

boodleboot · 03/12/2009 13:11

that is so funny apple - exactly what i was like last month even tho realistically there was zilch chance that i would have fallen pregnant....

I have been consistently POAS for the last three days waiting for this line i think i can see to get more clear.....nothing so far...

if i am not preg this month then i have lost faith in my ability to tell when something so lifechanging is happening in my own body...i really feel pregnant....my boobs are huge and really tingly. Still having crampy feelings that are quite noticeable....

Am applying for a new job in the hope that it distracts me from TTC and also hoping that it causes the bus effect.....

OP posts:
Appleton · 02/12/2009 09:16

Morning boodle. You think you're crazy? I just POAS for the 2nd time this week - even though we have been 100% careful this month. I start the 3 minute wait by panicking that I better not be, as I still have another month before I should TTC, then by the time the negative result comes up I'm really, really disappointed! I promise I'm a fairly normal person usually!

How long til AF is due? Hopefully those lines will get stronger and stronger til there's no doubt!

boodleboot · 02/12/2009 08:18

i realise that i sound preposterous to even consider taht i would fall on the first cycle of trying post EP but i can't help it....boobs feel tingly and have had sharp stabbing pain this morning - i am 12DPO today and wonder if this could be an implantation pain....i wish my womb had a window so i could see whats goin on in there

i have been testing on internet cheapies as i have about a squillion of them and am still convinced there is the faint line in some lights but this could totally be the evap line they talk about.....

still can't help thinking......

hows everyone else this morning?

OP posts:
Scrumdiddlyumptious · 01/12/2009 01:57

or even thank you for your welcome....x

Scrumdiddlyumptious · 01/12/2009 01:57

Thank you your welcome! Just to let you all know that I am in Australia so will be posting at odd times and not insomniac! Boodle, testing early is SUCH a dilema isn't it. And impossible to be strict with oneself. I bought some tests today (7 days before due) and PROMISED myself I wouldn't waste one and....yep you've guessed it I sucumbed (negative but prob too early anyway even for an early predictor)...I am usually quite sane and rational but this TTC malarky makes you go a bit irrational lala....lots of love x

boodleboot · 30/11/2009 13:35

i have been testing and am convinced there is the faintest of faintest of faintest lines but only in some lights....

I am 11DPO by my calculations today but still 7days til my AF is due so really do think that i am just being ridiculous to even go there entertaining any notions in even the remotest sense....

what do we think of Evaporation lines? anyone experienced these on a test?

or is a line a line?

welcome scrumdiddly.....join us for the ride.
xx

Hello all. scrum welcome to the thread, and I hope you'll be successful very soon. It must be hard to have someone so close have a due date similar to what might have been.

boodle have you really not tested yet? Your willpower is too good if that's the case.

My stitches are still annoying me - though I did pull a 2 inch piece out of my belly button the other morning. Nice!

Well, AF was due on Friday but still no sign. I'm thinking I was a bit premature in hoping they were all settled after surgery. I hope they're not going to be too irregular.
