mermaidspurse · 17/12/2009 14:13

I expect 4evers clinic will be running late

neeko I'll wait untill the Archers has finished cos otherwise she will be even more grumpy

barbie glad you are being super careful, you remined me of how heart in mouth your first weeks were and it is so lovely to think of you looking like an elephant - mermaid runs -

CurlyBigPants · 17/12/2009 14:11

I think 4evers appointment was at 11:40 so she's probably still in there or waiting for the consultant to finish the 18th hole

CurlyBigPants · 17/12/2009 14:10

mermaid if your mother says any such thing I shall personally pop over and slap her myself. Don't have any wet fish for the purpose but I can definitely come up with wet lettuce.

As for green veg, they should be kept in their rightful place and now is definitely a time for chocolate and more chocolate. I am sending you some scrummy leonidas in case you have finished neekos selection box already

monkey if anyone can do it, lara croft can just remember Anjalina joli ended up with twins after making that film

mls go with the cheapie, it must be more sensitive and timing can make all the difference. I reckon today (and tomorrow, and the next day) is the day . Make sure you drink some grapefruit juice before you jump on him and do the bd wiggly bed dance after

I'm agreed on the let's go for 3 out of 3 this month. Just wondering about Moons cycle too - maybe we could make it fabulous four.

Neeko · 17/12/2009 13:54

Mermaid Make the call. It'll all feel better once you've done it.

MLS No offence, but the cheapies have worked before so go with then. Clearly despite your watch you are not a woman with expensive tastes!

Barbie Hope you feel better soon.

No news from 4ever yet? What time was her appt?

barbie1 · 17/12/2009 13:49

mermaid why oh why is this happening to you eh? Im sorry you didnt get a definate answer, but im going to remain positive for you over the weekend...and for the records my bloods didnt double the first set i had, it was only at about 7 weeks they were in line with the guidelines, and then i had a scan too...still clinging on to the 'its too early theory'
No idea about fibriods or anything so cant help you there im afriad...

mls trust the positive one, you cant get a false positive right?

Good luck to all the girls who are mid cycle, lets start new year with a bang and a fresh bunch of bfp's

Ive been in bed all afternoon with a horrid migrane...parcetomol isnt touching it, although the sleep has cleared most of it. Called the midwife who told me to be v careful as migrane is also the same symtoms as pre eclampsia, if my symtoms re-start of dont shift within 24-48 i have to go to hospital to be checked over....

Hello to everyone else lurking today...

mermaidspurse · 17/12/2009 13:46

I think one must be more sensative. Thats a bugger you asre going to go and do another one now aren't you?

I would be tempted to say go with the one you always use, you know your body mls
If it is really a negative at least you are practising and giving dh a good dusting down and getting rid of any tired swimmers.

gracie I am impressed with the sanding just make sure you rest and eat cream cakes at regular intervals.

neeko sorry to make you splutter
trying to sc myself up to ring her.

MummyLovesSadie · 17/12/2009 13:37

Can I ask everyone's opinion on this please. I did 2 different opk's today. One was a cheapie from Ebay that I always use & a couple of hours I did a 1st Response that the lovely Sabs sent to me.

The cheapie was a very definite positive & the 1st Response was a negative. Which should I trust?

(BTW no matter what you say I'm going to try & tie dh to the bed tonight anyway!)

GracieGirl · 17/12/2009 13:34

Continuing my praying for Mermaid over the weekend - whilst I'm sanding walls in the utility room.

MummyLovesSadie · 17/12/2009 13:33

Neeko you are lovely! x

Neeko · 17/12/2009 13:27

Hi Mermaid I'm clinging onto hope for you and sending you loads of hugs and a very expensive selection box. Totally inappropriate but your comment about slapping your mum with a wet fish made me splutter my lunch over the keyboard . It's good to see that Mermaidwiththefightingspirit is in there still.
Don't mean to be harsh, but let your lovely DH cope with the cars and all that stress and just try to focus on you. xx

Monkey Good luck for this weekend.

MLS delighted to hear that you're being prepared. So nice to hear you with a plan again.

FWIW i'm going for 3 out of 3. You all deserve a wee Christmas miracle.

iggypiggy · 17/12/2009 13:20

lovelymermaid what a horrible day for you - but once again there is some hope and I think I'll cling to that for you.

Two of my friends have been diagnosed with fibroids in the last 6 months - both had surgery and both recovered well.

Hope you get some good chocolate and i will be thinking of you loads all weekend xx

monkeybumsmum · 17/12/2009 13:20

Oh mermaid am so sorry they couldn't tell you something more definate. This weekend isn't half going to drag for you. It's good what they said about the last lady having had a sucessful birth though, and good news that your hcg levels have gone up. I really hope that there is more good news on Monday...

Thanks for the reminder too, you are lovely to think of it with so much going on with you. I will go and grab a glass now, and will be keeping my fingers tightly crossed for you x

ps I think dh would like it if I dressed up as Lara Croft

mermaidspurse · 17/12/2009 13:13

curly thank you why did they never find them, stamping flipping flippers. Mine is a bit smaller than those mentioned 12x10x9mm. Thats a bit scary about the mc stats and why they sent me for a thorough scan about 6 months ago.

I am quite freaked actually about everything and think I may go and find some christmas chocolate. Not helped by the fact I just read that fibroid sufferers should eat leafy green veg. oh joy. I'm 41 need to dye my hair out of neccesity and not fun and look like a botticelli angel after a particualy bad session with added wrinkles.

mermaidspurse · 17/12/2009 13:00

god I've been googling fibroids surely I would know if I had adenomyoisis its like endometritus thingymajig. fgs. I mean thats like masses of pain and painful periods and loads of heavy bleeding.

yeah I know just don't google, I know this.

curly yes its ring mother time when I turn into a 16 year old and she says the immortal words "why weren't you more careful" and I wish I had a big wet fish to slap her with.

mls you must be worn out. Floradix is just the best stuff to build you both up again, its magic in a bottle.

I will keep my fingers crossed the insync ladies.
monkey strap a water bottle to each thigh I'm thinking lara croft type images now.

CurlyBigPants · 17/12/2009 12:55

Hey mermaid hope you don't mind and I know googling is bad but I found this here

"The miscarriage rate in the presence of fibroids is about 40%. Following myomectomy, 80% of patients with a history of repeated miscarriages will have a successful pregnancy."

After your positive news today, I'm still hoping and praying for good news on Monday but at least you may get some answers on what happened before

CurlyBigPants · 17/12/2009 12:44

Can you tell your Mum what is going on and let her manage everyone else? It's hard enough for you to have to deal with this without trying to pretend everything is normal

MummyLovesSadie · 17/12/2009 12:43

Mermaid sorry you are having such a headf**k at the moment. This weekend is going to be a long one & we will all be thinking of you. At least the news isn't bad huh?

Monkey glad to hear that we are now a cycle threesome with Jools. You are quite right, one out of three isn't too much to ask.

CurlyBigPants · 17/12/2009 12:43

Oh mermaidthebrave you poor love I wish they could have given you more definite answers, you must be going crazy Great news that the sac has grown but so hard to know.

I am seeing my granny this weekend and will ask for one of her special prayers

I think we may need some of iggys sand for you to stick your head in till Monday. Big hugs and hairstrokes honey xxx

mermaidspurse · 17/12/2009 12:35

sorry girls only just got home.

I am on the weary rollercoaster.

Have never been rumaged around inside so much in my entire life. I am still confused so bear with me on all of this.

Firstly the sac has grown but they are not sure where it is. It could be eptopic, it could be in the right place, the consultant was called in and she couldn't tell either and is 'sitting on the fence'
I can't quite decide wiether to join her or opt for the worse case scenario.

My hcg on 14th was 470 IU/I and yesterday they were 554. "the bhcg rise is suboptimal, however this is sometimes seen in early pregnacy"

So I am back in on Monday for another scan and have my open door in case of severe pain.

To add insult to all this I now also have fibroids and a suggestion of edenomyoisis. I think I have latched onto this rather than anything else. I have been scanned so many times in the last year and they never spotted that before. Or maybe fibroids are like the buddlea in my garden and just grow over night.

The lovely consultant said that the last lady simular to me had a succesful birth.

I am sort of leaning on the fence in a slightly hysterical manner and just don't know what to think/do.

Noone knows, havn't told parents or anythi9ng and I don't know how long I can keep my terror and disapearances hidden with the upcoming christmas frivolities upon us.
mermaidthemad thats me and dh is stressed beyond stressed with customers clamouring for their sodding cars before christmas holidays start.

4ever I forgot about your appoint. hope it is all ok and you are happy in the sun and snow today.

CurlyBigPants · 17/12/2009 12:35

Happy bd'ing girls!! Bring on the wine and the fancy undies

monkeybumsmum · 17/12/2009 12:30

MLS and Jools I seem to be in sync with you too. Let's hope at least one of us is successful! One out of three isn't too much to ask for surely?

monkeybumsmum · 17/12/2009 12:29

Just checking for any news from mermaid. It must be awful having to wait like this...

MummyLovesSadie · 17/12/2009 12:27

Neeko I have one capsule left & ordered some more this morning online.

CurlyBigPants · 17/12/2009 12:20

Just lurking for news of mermaid. Hopefully they won't make her wait too long

GracieGirl · 17/12/2009 12:05

Still no news from Mermaid? Good luck this weekendMLS and Jools.
