cupcake I am ok - mainly panicking and then feeling fine about stuff - head firmly in sand as much as possible. My scan is 4th Jan and I should be 11 + 6 - the earliest date they could do! Impatient? moi? Hope you feeling happier now?

Moon you are very brave to get through today. I think I told you before about visiting my two friends who shared my edd's for the first time and how I cried all the way home. It was a real turning point and I got pregnant a month later so hoping and praying for the same for you

i went to see my friend and her week old baby today. i had psyched myself up so much i felt sick and almost didn't go. i don't know what i was worried about, it was fine! apart from 2 minutes where i got the shakes holding my cup of tea, i had such a lovely time, and had the little one in my arms for a whole hour. i sat stroking her cheek and her tiny hands and she was as good as gold. i thought i would feel sad but i felt happy and kind of relaxed like a weight had been lifted. i never ever cried. maybe this was my final hurdle.

I was thinking we may need to organise a movie night to somehow try and distract you even for a little bit but then checked out movies for tomorrow night and there was not a chickflick or christmas movie in sight. We may need to synchronise our dvd collections instead

4ever so glad that all was ok with your appoint. I can imagine that having all the safetly blankets reomoved is a bit daunting but you will get through all of this.
We may however need to resort to buying jars of super duper wrinkle cream a little earlier than we would have needed to previous to all of this.

vjay thanks for that on the fibroid front. Getting over the shock of it all a bit now.

mermaid I've just remembered my step sis had fibroids throughout her pregnancy, they caused her some pain and she had to have them removed after baby was born, infact I think my neice was 3 when she had them removed, but they didn't effect her pg.

Im so so hopeful, and also pleased that you may have actually found your cause to the previous mc, frustrating as it maybe it wasnt picked up before, its something that can be fixed & Im hanging onto what your specialist said about the other lady in your situation having a healthy baby in the end.. Shall keep praying, prayed at hosp chapel as we always do on the way in, and the way out, & asked for your christmas miracle (in those words).. In fact have been praying constantly, I think he's listening you know!

Right poor mums probably dozed off by now & must go pick DH up from sainsburys in a min too!

Firstly Mermaid what an incredible headf** for you but as my DH said well maybe all our prayers mean that a christmas miracle is happening for you & I do have high hopes as def so much better than what they said yesterday isnt it? I know it will be a long weekend, hope your mums phone is soon free & you can share with her.. I feel so bad I only just tx you back now, bless you for worrying about me when you are going through all this, you're one special lady - hope you know that?!?!? Sorry took me so long to come back on here, apt was actually quick, only waited about 45mins & think got bumped up list as was stressing really wanted to see my consultant not his team of registrars & he was off to a meeting so hey presto, not a long wait at all really. Bit worrying that a trace of protein found in my urine & they are sending it off for tests for infection.. Cons reckons not to worry, we heard hb again, & he reckons we really should relax as chances of going wrong are very slim now, great to hear, but easier said than done! Im to ween off the cyclogest now too, bit worrying that all my safety blankets of that, not working & weekly scans will be no more soon but I guess I must be brave..! Will keep the weekly scans til 21wk scan on 26th Jan & see ante natal/cons again that same week... Sorry for making any of you worry! Went to garage to try & fix car window after but couldnt fit me in, then picked mum up & brought her to our house, she is downstairs watching alan titchmarsh & I dashed upstairs to post to you!!! Its been a lovely chatty supportive wonderful thread these last few days & have shed many a tear at all your posts to our lovely Mermaid!!! MLS Im so glad to see you back & in battlestations mode & DD better

Also so very lovely to see our Jools and Bluemoon, plus Monkey too - Im holding out with Curly for 4 out of 4!
