Afternoon girlies
mermaid you are so so lovely organising that for jools (and you too barbie!) Jools hope you're having a fabulous weekend and laughing lots

hoping so sad to read your post. Hope that you will pop in again when life seems a little brighter but know we are all thinking of you x

4ever you poor love! It's just one wobble after another isn't it hoping and praying tomorrow's scan will give you another few days of peace. I'm ok thanks my lovely, things are slowly looking brighter.

Thanks for the lovely messages re dh's job everyone yes I am v relieved! Tinged with a tiny bit of sadness though as he just loved his previous job and isn't excited by this one...ho hum.. at least he will still see his old friends as it's the same office, and he can keep looking.

LBM here's my hand for Wednesday too... deep breaths!

We had a gorgeous windy walk on the beach yesterday then went to visit friends with 5 wk old baby... all lovely until she started telling us about how her boobs spurt out milk during sex dh and I didn't quite know what to say!

mermaidspurse · 08/11/2009 11:56

buddha oh your poor lady can't begin to imagine how badly your pain is you must feel like you have been pregnant forever. I will keep everything crossed for your Thursday scan. You are meant to moan btw cos you are a pregnant lady

barbie Think we may need to send your Dr a shiny star for having you as a patientHopefully you are feeling a bit better today and the result is fine so you don't have to do it again.

I am still under paperwork but have stopped for toast and marmalade and might have to go and blow the cobwebs away down the beach.

4ever hope the aches are a little better - I had forgotten how much barbie had those pains, makes you feel a bit better when you remember other peoples symptons. Have a nie cosy day.

BuddhaBellyBigPants · 08/11/2009 10:27

Lovely new home
Sorry I've not been on much but SPD getting progressively worse now on crutches and feeling quite low as the pain is awful, didn't really want to moan on here about it as I am grateful that I'm pg honestly! I have another scan next Thursday when they will make the decision whether I have a c/section or not, as my placenta hadn't moved enough at last scan at 33 weeks.
Neeko What did you decide about the swine flu jab? I've decided not to have it but that's easier for me to decide as I only have weeks left.
LBM I see you have gone through another hurdle in the journey, passing 10+5 hurray
Blue Glad to hear scan went well this week, and LO is behaving him/herself. What a lovely boss she must think a lot of you.
Barbie Bargain pram well done! Hope you have found somewhere to store it I like Vjay's idea to stop the homesickness by making your last Christmas as a couple very special, it will be different anyway being in Dubai, I'll send you some cold weather in the post if you like Hope your GTT comes back OK, trust you to spit it out everywhere
Cupcake So glad you got through your EDD and are able to be so positive about your LO Really pleased about DH's job news, hurray
MLS Lovely to "see" you back, but can't believe the insensitivity of your relatives thank goodness your consultant is more sensible!
4ever How's the cold? Hope your back is a little easier today. Your LO will be as snug as a bug in a rug where s/he is so just concentrate on getting better and seeing them again on Monday, will be thinking of you x
Curly Again we are mirroring our feelings how spooky I'll send you a "we are grateful we're pg but oh my do we have to feel so bad with it" hug if you send me one back x
Moon It's so hard when surrounded by pg women, it's a slap in the face every day, think you are doing fantastically though, hug x
Jools Hope you are having a fabulous time in Cornwall, you won't not think about everything that is coming up but I really hope you get some peace and a wonderful birthday
Mermaid Hope you got all the boring paperwork out the way and enjoyed the rest of your weekend
Iggy Here's a hand to hold to get you through next week x
Hoping Just in case you are still lurking, I wanted to second what the others have said, you are NOT a failure but fully get why you feel that way as we have all been there. I hope having a break from it all does you good in all ways, and really hope to see you come back with some BFP good news All the best for the future x

barbie1 · 08/11/2009 04:18

I couldnt get back on to post yesterday, i felt so weird after the gloucose test

I had the worse time, the drink was so vile i actually ended up coughing as i was trying to swollow it and spat it out all over the doctors room, over me, her, the chair, the floor, my bag etc etc She then shooed me out of her room for her safety and told me to take my time and drink it as long as i wasnt too long ended up in the washrooms, head over the sink being sick with each monthful i swollowed im not sure how effective the test will be since half of it got flushed back down the toilet and the other was being cleaned up in the first room! After drinking as much as i could i kind of felt really drunk and woozy...Had to sit for an hour but ended up falling alseep in the waiting room I will get the results today but i have a v bad feeling im going to have to go to the 2nd stage and have repeat test done Fingers crossed eh?

4ever remember the terrible back ache i had, i cried and cried for weeks. I ended up getting a medical cream which numbs the area and is safe in pregnancy, dh used to rub it in for me helped a little...i have everything crossed for you on monday. Oh and its 35 degrees here, humidity on the rise so it feels hot and sticky still, athough the mornings are lovely and cool and i even wore a cardi over my dress for dinner out the other night, so it is slooooowly getting colder.

jools hello birthday girl having fun?

Whoops out of time again, off to work, speak soon xxx

barbie1 · 07/11/2009 05:02

Happy weekends my lovely ladies

littlebellsmum · 06/11/2009 23:11

Hoping YOu are so not a failure - it will happen, you will have a baby, you just need sometime off, it has been a horible year for you. Take care of yourselves.

Got a scan appointment through for next wednesday ( 11th) - arggghhh, I may have to take my head out of the sand.........

BlueMoon1981 · 06/11/2009 19:25

hoping you are most definitely not a failure, please remember that. you and dh have been through a tough time and that does not mean you have failed anything. like vjay says, come back anytime you feel you need to, there's always a place for you here. i wish you and dh health and happiness in wherever your paths take you. we will miss you, take care lovely lady xxx

MummyLovesSadie · 06/11/2009 19:01

Hoping I totally understand where you are coming from. I do hope you come back though when we all (including you) have birth stories & bonnie baby pictures to compare.

bluesatinsash · 06/11/2009 15:55

Meant to say well done to cupcake's DH - fantastic news and will be a weight off your minds .

OP posts:
bluesatinsash · 06/11/2009 15:47

Hoping - to read your post but wishing you and your DH every happiness in the future whatever you decide. Remember you are still so young and have lots and lots of years to think about it all. Sending you much love xx

Vjay - ah the joys of Tesco.com I always forget something or as was the case this week, looked forward to my finest hazelnut yoghurt only for it to be substituted for honey and almond - as if - send it away! Have fun at your bonfire night tomorrow - ping whizz as mermaid would say

So Iggy, MLS and mermaid are in cycle sinc. Not that we're monitoring or getting hopes up......

Had my second weekly scan at lunchtime and baby has decided to behave this week . Heart rate back up to 134 bpm and irregular blip hardly distinguishable. Consultant said if it had been a run of the mill scan he would have sent me away with a big tick. So baby blue can incubate for at least another week barring any emergency and if it remains on a par with today they may allow me to go past 38 weeks and even go into labour but I daren't even think that far ahead. Just getting to 35 weeks is a milestone in itself.

I'm just so relieved as today was the last day that I had to leave work for scan with hospital bag in boot of car. All future scans will be when I'm on mat leave with no work worries

Anyhoo, better get back to tidying my desk and hiding all my good pens!

Have a lovely weekend everyone x

OP posts:
VJay · 06/11/2009 13:39

I'm so sorry hoping. You and dh have made such a brave and hard decision and I wish you both lots luck and happiness for the future. Don't hesitate to come back if ever you feel the need to, if just for a chat.
Take care xxxxx

hopingalways · 06/11/2009 12:57

takes deep breath

I thought it was only fair to let you all know that I'm not going to come back.

DH and I have decided to stop trying. I just can't cope with life in the baby limbo any more. I feel like the most horrendous failure to be doing this after only a year of ttcing and 3 mcs, but I just can't do it any more.

I'm wishing you all the best of luck in life and little ones. You have been very kind and very supportive through one of the worst periods of my life.

waves goodbye

VJay · 06/11/2009 11:23

Oh well done mrcupcake that is good news

Just had my shopping delivered now I have to go back out to tesco cos I forgot a load of stuff and I'm having a fireowrk party tomorrow for us and the neighbours, so need the stuff now, gggrrrrr.

Hope eveyone is ok, think I'll have a before I go out, see we can use the jammy dodger like that too I suppose

cupcakefairy · 06/11/2009 10:33

Haha MLS that's really funny, I don't actually have a Welsh accent at all...infact I always get called posh but having lived here more than 6 years I have definitely picked up 'love' 'lush' and a whole host of other Welshisms!

Good news from me this morning is that dh got the job he interviewed for yesterday clever boy he is. It's in his office just a different department. He's not thrilled by the job but at least it's security & he can carry on looking if he wants (and I can stop worrying how we will feed and clothe the baby!!)
Today is his last day in current job so pretty ace timing

Neeko · 06/11/2009 09:53

Hi
Just quickly popping my head in to reassure MLS that I'm ok. Work and home life a bit manic, but I'm allowing myself to lurk and normal posting service will resume over the weekend - which is more than can be said for Royal Mail!!!

MrsKate · 06/11/2009 09:49

hi i love the new home !!!

i hope everyone is ok ive gotta catch up xxx

MummyLovesSadie · 05/11/2009 22:13

Yay Jools happy birthday for Monday! Welcome to the 40+ ttc club! Seriously, don't stress about being 40 years young, I have heard lately so many stories about women having healthy babies who are far far older than us.

Cupcake every time I read one of your posts I have a welsh accent in my head, especially when you use words like lush!

Neeko where are you? Are you ok?

cupcakefairy · 05/11/2009 21:59

I'm back
Hi jools have a lush holiday, you deserve it and happy birthday!

LBM glad the appointment went well and you raised head above sand long enough for it boo to mw going on about your age but well done for telling her to shut it!

Blue yippee to work finishing..hope you got through the 2 days in a row fine.. you're on the home straight now

4ever you ok? Hope you're not wobbling quietly somewhere.

Massive hugs to all x

Joolsiam · 05/11/2009 20:56

Just popping in for a quick helllooooo

Sorry to post and run, but I'm mad busy - have been doing more training at work, getting in late after parking on the M25 for hours and hours - grr and my internet connection only seems to want to stay up for 3 mins at a time !

Barbie - how sweet of you

Thankyou to everyone for your birthday wishes. Yes, Bday is Monday. We are off to Steinland in the morning, back Monday evening

Special hello to all the small panters. I think our cycles must have synchronised, as I reckon I'm on CD24 today too !! No chance for me this month though and, like Iggy, I'm forgetting about it for the rest of the year.

Delighted to see you back with us MLS

See you next week x x

cupcakefairy · 05/11/2009 20:56
