oh 4ever i am so relieved that all is well, i am chuffed to bits for you and dh was thinking of you at work today and sending you positive vibes

buddha how exciting to be on maternity leave, are you ready for it all?

iggy i know easier said than done, but don't compare to your last pg, you have to remember that every time is different and that strong symptoms aren't necessarily an indicator (i must listen to my own advice when the time comes!) i would also agree with buddha and stay off your horse as you wouldnt be able to enjoy yourself for worrying, and then you would beat yourself up about it afterwards wishing you hadnt gone.

hi to vjay and sabs saggy panters! hope all is well with your new los

on with todays update - cd 37 and no af.... but i did stop at the supermarket tonight to pick up 2 tests (they had no digi ones, so have got clearblue 'undigi'). haven't decided yet if i will test in the morning or not. i have to say i don't feel that pregnant apart from sore nipples is it possible my body is playing tricks on me? arrgghhhhh!!!!!

bluesatinsash · 17/11/2009 13:44

Just bloody brilliant news 4ever . Think the British Isles dipped a little with us all breathing out at the same time - fantastic, I'm so unbelievably chuffed and relieved for you and your DH .

Moon go with your gut, if you want to wait and see (otherwise known as the LBM method) then grand but digital tests are the business in terms of clarity.

Iggy - as the girls have said every pg after mc is conducted under a microscope especially symptoms or lack of. As annie says they don't normally kick in until 7 weeks but that won't help your worrying I know. You just have to hunker down, post here lots for reassuring hand holds and (IMO) stay off your horse for a few weeks..

Buddha - lovely to think of you lying on your coach chilling and counting down the days. Three weeks at the most - jeezlouise its all too exciting .

Vjay - hope your DS1/PFB (thanks Neeko - love that acronymn ) is on the mend today.

Sabs - well done brave Saara. Its actually alot easier when they're tiny. My poor DS had his booster last week and it was the first time I had to explain what was going to happen and his wee lip was trembling..

Gutted for MLS, really hope it didn't dampen her holiday. At least she can fire on and get investigated as she had to be 8 weeks post-mc.

Neeko - hope the parents were kind to you last night! Only under 5 weeks til school hols - ho ho ho!

Mermaid - had wee thinking of you and me fighting over Brandon Flowers and him looking at us with a don't think so ladies way .

cupcake - how many words have you typed today? .

Annie - well done for making pram spick and span. We are using Ds's one although I did treat myself to new chassis/wheels. Its currently sitting in nursery as I won't allow it in garage in case it gets all cold and damp and spidery. cue 4 months on when it will be chucked in garage on a daily basis .

I'm off to post a question on the 'baby names' thread if anyone wants to nosey - all suggestions greatly received! We have our girl's name (although I'm still torn between two) but really struggling for boys and want to open it up to the floor so to speak .

Hiya bhudda you put your feet up and start enjoying your mat leave. Only 3 weeks to go , so you are in the running with blue and annie as to who will pop first. I need to grab the list to keep my baby brain up to date

BuddhaBellyBigPants · 17/11/2009 11:01

Annie Hope all goes well at consultants appt and will think of you when you are laying your memorial flowers x
Barbie Love the Chrismtas tree decoration ideas, pmsl at the toothbrush incident
Cupcake Glad you had a great time at the Muse Concert, 6 months to finish your book, you'd better get cracking
Moon I so hope your body isn't playing tricks on you, but you know there is only one way to find out. I admire your restraint in not buying up the whole shelf in the local late night supermarket!
Blue Good idea on the sensor mat under the circumstances.
Iggy How's that sand? Got any in your eyes yet? You need to do what feels right about the scan, just don't go too early. Have you heard back from the consultant about the horse riding? I agree with Barbie I would wait a few weeks, you will only worry and not enjoy yourself when you go. On the symptom front I didn't get anything until 6 wks and then look out!
4ever Firstly what a lovely suggestion to Iggy re scan. Secondly I bet you didn't get one wink of sleep last night? I am thinking about you and sending bucket loads of positive thoughts my lovely
Sabs Glad to hear Saara got through her jabs alright, obviously Mum led by example

Officially started maternity leave today, although had physio this morning so no lie in! It sank in yesterday that at the latest I will actually have a baby 3 weeks tomorrow, how bloody scary is that!!!
On that note I am retiring to the sofa and telepathically sending warm thoughts to 4ever x

iggypiggy · 17/11/2009 10:49

Hi baking - how are you?

bakingqueen · 17/11/2009 10:43

Hope things go well today 4ever got my fingers crossed for you.

Lots of love to you all

VJay · 17/11/2009 10:04

4ever been thinking of you all morning and will continue to do so sending lovely positive thoughts your way

Lol cupcake at you calling curly a man

mermaid ds1 is getting better but have kept him off school again today, bless him.

moon it's not boring to here what's happening to you, as cupcake says, we love it , have you tested again yet?

Hiya sabs well done to saara for being so so brave, how is she doing with her sleeping, feeding etc, would love an update

mermaidspurse · 17/11/2009 10:02

iggy I am going to send you an entire truck load of beach and you can spend your time making zen patterns in the sand and very slowly the days will trickle.
reckon you should wander round to 4evers epu for a little scan maybe? Not cos there is anything wrong but to put your heart and mind at rest - symptom spotting is the pits lovely lady and you need to be as nicely relaxed and positive about it all as you possibly can be - so dodge that MIL and goxx.

moon still have everything corssed for you.

gasp yes curly I mislaid you in my head please let us know you are ok and still not being too sick.x

4ever will be strutting her stuff shortly so everyone concentrate hard on positive thoughts

ugg why isn'y it friday?

Sabs1981 · 17/11/2009 09:52

Just quickly posting to say I'm thinking of you today 4ever

Hope everyone is well.

Saara had her 6 week check-up and BCG injection yesterday - she was very brave! I took my sister along for support which really helped. I also had to have a jab mmr, as my rubella showed up as really low

Be back soon

iggypiggy · 17/11/2009 09:39

I am also comparing it to last time - and I'm sure I had more symptoms by now

Thanks annie I will get back in the sand....

anniebigpants · 17/11/2009 09:33

Aww Iggy-the first few weeks pregnancy post mc are truly awful. If you were pregnant for the first time, you probably wouldnt be concerned in the slightest that you had no symptoms at 5 weeks, most symptoms dont kick in till the 7 week mark. Its when weve had a mc we analyse every symptom and lack of them. Try and borrow some of LBM sand to b ury your head in and try and ignore symptoms or lack of them. Deep breaths and we will get you through this.XX

iggypiggy · 17/11/2009 09:13

4ever you must be so nervous - we are all holding your hand and thinking of you xx

moon so hope that you just tested too early - when you think you might poas again if still no af?

Thanks for thoughts on riding - basically my instinct says to stop, but obviously that comes with it's own difficulties - ie. telling the woman that looks after him!

Anyway - am feeling bit miserable anyway as am in theory 5 weeks today - but feel like have no symptoms - so have convinced myself that it is A BAD SIGN and that will def mc..

you lot will know what I mean

4everhopeful · 16/11/2009 22:15

Just wanna thank u lovelies for all your supportive messages, it does actually help cos one of hardest bits is feelin no one quite undertands so thank u again, especially to mermaid & neeko for your tx.. I should be asleep, dh is but just lurked on pho after im a celeb.. Oh & have to sadly say to lbm that have actually got to 13wk before & had nuchal scan in that dept when poss edwards or downs was diagnosed which is whole reason im such a state now.. That was last yr & seen by director of dept so really hoping we get to see him this time, just holds alot of bad memories.. Anyway must try & sleep, in 12hrs will be driving to hosp! Thanks again lovely ladies, will tx asap x x x x x

cupcakefairy · 16/11/2009 20:52

didn't mean to call Curly a 'he'! This laptop tends to miss out letters when I type too quickly!

cupcakefairy · 16/11/2009 20:47

Oh Moon don't apologise- none of us are bored of hearing of a no-show af, we love it!! So so hoping this is your month lovely. I think Curly is just super busy with work... hopefully he'll drop in soon.

Iggy I think you have to trust your instincts. I just think with all this 'advice' that is out there like what not to eat/do while pregnant, us girls who have been unfortunate enough to miscarry should probably be following it all to the letter so we have absolutely nothing to blame should it happen again.. otherwise we'd only torture ourselves that it was our fault somehow. It's only 2 months until you'd hit 12 weeks, is that aaaages in horse-lover time?
So glad your dh is excited by the way

Neeko well done you on finishing the first parents afternoon! cookie for you. Thanks for the update on MLS, gutted for her though hope she eats loads of Italian pasta to cheer herself up- YUM.

Mermaid I love that everyone agrees on my Brandon Flowers love he'd so make my top 5 list! (Friends fans)

4ever my lovely fellow medium-panter.. I'm not moving into that big pants list without you so you'd better believe everything is going to be fine! So wish there was something we could do to make you feel better hun but I know your stomach will just be knotting like crazy tomorrow. Please please breeeeeathe lovely, the best thing you can do for your lo is to try and relax.

Right, nearly I'm a Celebrity time

littlebellsmum · 16/11/2009 20:40

Moon - walk away from the tests untill you have so many symptoms it can't be anything else. The sand is nice and warm and it makes the rest of the time fly! I can't believe that I will have my 16 week appt in just over 3 weeks!!! See time flys ( currently 13 weeks ( not that I'm counting or anything!)

4ever it will be fine - repeat the words, everything will be fine. You've never got this far before and so, this time is different. Thats why you don't know the people upstairs but they will know you through your notes. This time it will be fine.

barbie boak. How do you manage to survive? Life in your world is som much fun! BTW I have drunk flies myself before though - years ago, visiting a family in Romania, drinking their disgusting home brew that when I looked down was full of flies but I couldn't let the ancient great aunt know that I wouldn't drink it ..... Barf city!
Your baby is going to have so much fun and I can't wait to hear your feeding and nappy stories!

Love to everyone else
