4ever I was so delighted to get your text today. Had been worrying all morning even though I knew you'd be okay. As I said in the text it will get easier from here. You never totally lose the nerves but I actually looked forward to the last scan that we got

barbie I understand how you feel on going to see the delivery ward. I'm afraid they'll show me instruments of torture Nope it's not emma and not very guessable I'm afraid. No more clues

mls what is ff based on? Is it temps? Any chance of a quickie in case there is still time this month? I mean with dh, not me

neeko you've given me a guilt trip on the christmas cards. Haven't bothered this year but I seem to be on a mad organising bender too - from cleaning to buying stuff for the baby. Need to step away from eBay

cupcake the course sounds great I really like your style of writing, some people are really readable. I wish VM was still on this thread, then we'd have two authors. We are a literary lot after all Oh just checked out your scan pic, what a gorgeous little bean you have there. I reckon its a girly bean

If anyone is in touch with Buddha please send my love. I don't seem to have phone details. Thinking of you and young Ewan honey xxx

Hey lovely to see ya gracie my cycle buddy. We've missed you. I'm nearly 30 weeks too. It's exciting isn't it. glad you have finished up early, I'm very tempted to do the same but will hang on for now. Only about 15 working days to go anyway!!

VJ give the lovely ajay a big kiss from me as an apology for distracting his mum. Total heart melt at him smiling at big bruv

Moon you crazy fool you don't sound in any way selfish or cold. Of course we totally understand, it's just we all care so would like a way to stalk you 24/7 and make sure you are okay. But of course stick to whatever you're comfortable with as cupcake and the others say just promise to tell us when you are feeling really down so we can post you lots of hugs xxx

Off to bed now (this is quite late for me )

cupcakefairy · 30/11/2009 22:08

Eek I only just saw your actual post Moon as we'd x-posted earlier..my post just now was responding to Neeko and LBM's comments...

I'm so sorry, and of course you don't sound selfish at all I totally understand...just make sure you don't disappear on us for meltdowns

cupcakefairy · 30/11/2009 22:05

LBM my appointment is next Thursday when I'll be 17+1.

Sorry, didn't mean to try and force Moon out of the anonymous MN land , of course do whatever you are comfortable with.

Neeko · 30/11/2009 20:53

x post LBM Waffles are definitely gourmet! Write yourself a post-it (sorry, teacher thing again) to phone the docs tomorrow. won't be long until your 20 week scan and then your bump will pop out and you'll not need to tell anyone.

Think I'm just being organised to regain control. My cousin also sent me a pack of lovely disposable pants which I've already put into my hospitalbag. Vjay are you impressed?!

Neeko · 30/11/2009 20:46

Ok, have to step in in a professional capacity and say it's definitely willies! The other one would either mean belonging to willy or a contraction of willy is. Now there's something I never thought I'd write

Another big yay for 4ever! So pleased that you're starting to believe. Curly told me that the weeks move more quickly after 13 and I didn't believe her, but she's right!

Speaking of Curly, it gave me a huge smiley feeling to see your mahoosive post. Now you're really back! Sorry you're feeling rubbish but once the mat leave kicks in it won't seem so bad.

Gracie Really lovely to hear from you and 30 weeks - wow! three-quarters way there. Very that your work has more or less forced you into stopping early as it'll deprive you of time at the other end. Did they risk assess your job? I'm STILL waiting on mine, despite the fact that it is a legal requirement.

Cupcake Yay to movement. It's a wonderful feeling. So pleased for you. Heartmelt at the scan pic too. That looks like a chilled out baby. I have problems posting pics but can text my 20 wk one to anyone who wants to see.
I'd like to join the Love Actually party if I can manage to find a copy.

MLS I need no encouragement to spend on DD but she really has a ridiculous- amount enough for Christmas already. Her major asks are a Slinky Dog, the 101 Dalmations DVD, baby Annabelle and a pram like mummy's. Unfortunately we didn't even nearly stop there I think expecting not to be pregnant could be a good thing mentally this month (although it goes without saying that I hope you are)

Moon You do what feels best for you and whatever helps you cope. I totally understand that you want to remain in control of contact. MC leaves you feeling out of control and you've got to grasp it where you can. Hope you have some nice things to look forward to over Christmas.

Iggy are you ok? You've gone all quiet, like mermaid Baking glad you had a nice holiday. Don't work too hard.

Blue Big milestone tomorrow. Well done. It's a milestone for me too as i'll be 24 weeks and baby'll be viable! What's your DS getting for Christmas?

Buddha if you're lurking I'm realy sorry to hear of Ewan's problems. Know you're strong enough to cope, but you shouldn't have to.

Annie Hope you're happy in a new baby bubble.

Barbie Yay to mat leave in 3 weeks. Don't worry about childbirth too much but I would recommend the Natal Hypnotherapy CD if you want some mental strength. I had a bath last night whilst listening to it and felt chilled and strong after it.

Ok, I know I've missed people but Santa wrapping is shouting me! I'm actually worried i'm nesting already as my cousin sent me loads of maternity clothes today (most of which don't fit due to the sone I put on comfort eating after my MC ) which prompted a huge wardrobe sort and clear out and a big bag for charity. I did lots of organising at work today too. Hope my body doesn't know something I don't!

littlebellsmum · 30/11/2009 20:30

Quick post as I haven't for ages but am supposed to be cooking tea!
MLS I am so with you on the willies front. All the time I had to change my DS, I felt like I ws intruding in private areas and on the odd occasions, I had to move it out of the way..... Funny never had an issue with dd! What a nice idea to go out for Christmas lunch - next year with the baby you'll have by then, it would be too difficult

Leg cramps can be lack of calcium, barbie - I took supplements as I got them and this seemed to help ( it also did no harm but I'd check with dr)
BTW - my ds has never played with his willy but he does hold it occasionally - dh says it's cos he can!

4ever such fantastic news - nearly 14 weeks, wow!

hurrah gracie you're back! If you're anaemic do you get to drink that "lovely" iron solution?

vjay I can't believe Ajay is so old!! How did that happen!

moon - I fully understand your reluctance to reveal yourself. If being anonomous ( however you spell it!)enables you post freely, then stay as just Moon!

iggy where are you? The sand is warm, but is it that warm? Hope everythings ok with you

cupcake is it your mw appt this Thursday or next Thursday? I need to get mine booked - now my head is out of the sand ( but we still haven't told anyone!!), I now need to hear the heartbeat to be sure e everything is OK, esp as the sickness is going.

But now, love to everyone else - esp the hyperorganized one called Neeko - I really must find a gourmet tea for me and DH. Umm, can potato waffles be described as gourmet?

cupcakefairy · 30/11/2009 20:02

4ever I'm so so pleased to hear/read you saying you're starting to believe yay!! Your support has been invaluable to me too my lovely. I'm not having a scan at 17wks, just mw appointment..it's next Thurs. I'm 15+5 today and definitely felt that flutter again today! Eep. Really hope you start to feel your lo soon too so he can give you his own reassurance
Hooray for you joining the Love Actually party grab the tissues if you've never seen it before! Ha, I'm really not always busy, it just sounds that way!

Vjay that is adorable about Ajay loving his big brother!! Aww!

Hi BQhope you had a lovely relaxing holiday.

Gracie! I'm so glad you've managed to get back on we'e missed you loads! Can't believe you're 30 weeks! How is everything? Is dh back living with you now? Do you finally have a bump??

Ooh, dinner time...

BlueMoon1981 · 30/11/2009 19:54

just a quick one from me to say YAY for 4ever, your little miracle is one step closer

cupcake i hope you and the other girls won't be offended when i say that i like being anonymous and like the fact that no one can contact me. i'm aware how awfully cold that sounds, but it suits me for the moment. i can't really explain properly, just that this is my haven and its on my terms and no one elses. now i sound selfish, gonna stop digging...

VJay · 30/11/2009 18:45

blue cupcake and 4ever it's a date, Love Actually Wednesday night, can't wait , anyone else want to join us???

Hiya gracie so nice to 'see' you and glad you've stopped work and are feeling batter, and 30 weeks , where has the time gone?

Hi bq did you have a good hol?

Lol barbie at cleaning willies/willy's, (not sure blue think it could be willies), but it's not hard, they are only tiddly little things bless

curly loved your long long post, had to bounce AJ half way through as he started to whinge , I explained to him that you had a lot to write and I had to read it

mls I'll always be here, supporting all of you as you've all supported me

Ajay has had his 3 month jabs today, yes he is 3 months tomorrow, I can't believe it , he was weighed last week and was 15lb8oz, such a big hungry boy
Ajay has started to smile at Cjay (ds1, that happens to be his initials too), everytime he sees him, he loves him to bits, bless. Right Ajay beckons, he's chomping on his fist.

bakingqueen · 30/11/2009 17:49

Hello all back from holiday last night off out for meal with friends tonight then at workj next two days so back properly after that love to all sorry no time to catch up trying to frantically stuff uniform in machine hoping to get it ready for tomorrow morning xxx

GracieGirl · 30/11/2009 17:33

Knock knock! Can I come in???? I'm really sorry I abandoned you all but work has been a nightmare and I've been soooo tired I've been coming in from work and going straight to bed, no time for socialising in real life or on Mumsnet, just sleeping. All my real life friends think I'm avoiding them - I really have been rubbish! I imagine Kate's kept you a bit up to date with our situation but we got moved to a medical ward full of heavy elderly people needing hoisting and lifting and I just couldn't keep up. I know perhaps I should have been a bit better at fighting my corner (I tried my best didn't I Kate) but the bosses were having none of it. So I've finished work early. My official maternity leave hasn't started yet, I'm using up my annual leave and "owed hours" first. I feel a million times better now (even though I'm anaemic) and at last I have the energy to meander back onto Mumsnet and catch up with you all. I hope you are all well, I have some serious amount of reading to do to catch up with you all so I'd better get started......

P.S - I'm 30 weeks now!

4everhopeful · 30/11/2009 16:34

Hello lovelies! Thanks so much for the oodles of support & positive thinking for me again today, your reactions are always so lovely I could cry!!! (whispers) Im almost daring to believe now..! Im gonna stop getting hung up on size, funny thing is this preg it really has been an afterthought til this thurs when it was only a few mm more than a few days before on mon, thats what got me panicing, also seemed to be in same position & didnt move much at all on thurs.. So, I was praying bubba would put on a full show of activity as reassurance for us today, cos was worried lack of movement was a sign it was poorly & things going wrong, so sure enough today it was rolling around & around, waving legs & arms, nodding its head & not staying still long enough to even be meausured, then sonographer said as getting bigger they will now leave measurements to fetal meds & just check hb & things on my weeklys! Prob best! So obviously another cause of my immense weebleness was that Iv never ever been this far along!!! A momentous milestone indeed! WOOP WOOP! Im scared to write that & nearly deleted it! But all prayers to god, I'll be 14wks on fri, I just cant believe it!

Barbie loving all the talk of winkles & fanjos! (or hamburgers! ) Friends have said that girls have far too many creases & folds for those runny poos to be cleaned out of! I honestly dont care either way now after all this! Great stuff about mat leave in 3 wks! Bless you getting nursery bits too...

Cupcake I looked at your gorgeous scan photo! It is a good image, mums always know best so you never know! Youve been a godsend to me my fellow medium pant journey sharer & hand holder! Are you 16wks now? When is that 17wk scan? Bless the penguin bootees too , I darent even look at stuff but went to Boots today for some of my last xmas shopping for friends gifts [smug face]! & did see some yummy sanctuary 'mum to be' gift boxes that I phoned & hinted to DH about when I came out!
I want to watch Love Actually with you & Vjay and Blue on weds night, Ive never seen it! You always sound so busy what with work & your course & your writing, how you find time to socialise too is an inspiration!

Blue thank you for the prayers too my lovely, they seem to be working thus far!!! I repeat what I said that you have also been a real source of support to me beyond words you lovely lady.. How are you doing? How many weeks to go now? Im just so excited for you! Hope the spd dissapears as soon as LO arrives!

Poor poor Buddha last I heard was when i posted her update about Ewan being in SCUBU & having poss infection, god forbid it was meningitus, I will try & contact her, I did tell her Id prayed for her & Ewan & also young Ellis, in hosp chapel & she replied Id made her cry bless her, she must be so overwraught...

Big waves to Annie if lurkin with Ellis on breast! She came home on sat & said Ellis* is feeding well

Lovely to see mammoth post from you Curly, sorry to hear you are feelin so shitty still, Im also intrigued by your potential name! Specially considering what my real name is & how its what drew me to Emmsys in the first place!

Talking of another hard grafter hows our lovely Neeko? I hope a sense of 'normality' is returning to the family after last weeks funeral? Big hugs to you all.. Xmas is a good distraction, Im with you on the Monicaesque level of organisation, just want everything done & nearly there, big pile of presents, just card writing & wrapping that I will crack on with next week.. Not long now til xmas hols for you, bet you're counting minutes!

Jools another workaholic lady! Iv been loving your xen like together and positive posts! Just talking to the Gp & getting the referral sounds like its done wonders for you, you sound really together & in a great place, & thats a good healthy place for ttc too!

MLS glad to see an upbeat post from you too, I echo what everyone said, take positivity & hope from your gorgeous girl that you are a mummy & you have done this before, it will happen but you have to give yourself time to heal. After my 3rd mc & the tests for referral we didnt stop ttc as such, but we almost avoided it as I wanted to find out if there was something wrong, that could be cured, I wouldnt of wanted to get preg then discover I could of been taking heparin injections or steroids to prevent another mc & not have done. It would relieve the pressure for you & would only be a couple of months while you get your results back, it would be great healing time for mind body & soul too... Big hugs & keep rejoicing in your cute DD!

Hope you are lurking Bluemoon and Bakingqueen and hanging in there girls.. 2010 will be a better year all round methinks...

Big wave to Sabs if you are lurkin, hope you had a happy Eid!

Lastly Mermaid mermaid come out come out wherever you are! Blue made a comment about scuttling off under her shell in times of stress, & I have had a real vision of you doing that for the last few months.. I hope I dont step on your mermaids toes by saying this, but you seem to be really closing up & not sharing how you feel or even whats going on with you in the day to day? We miss you & you are always full of worldy wisdom & support to us but scuttle away when we try & do the same back?! Im only saying this cos I care about you sooooooooooo much & feel a kindred spirit having had the same amount of losses as each other.. Did you ever look into the luteal phase thing? You scuttled away at that too & it really could be a simple answer.. Im so sorry but think all this lots so just had to say it out loud & maybe some of the others will back me on that? We love you sweet lady xxxxxxx

Right, on that note, better get downstairs to put some jacket potatoes in the oven!
xxxxxxxx

barbie1 · 30/11/2009 15:34

cupcake lol at your mum thinking she knows what it is...i did read on another site that a girls bits looks like three lines referred to as the hamburger now my dh is saying he would prefer a boy so he doesnt have to clean the hamburger....ts a running to joke to whether we will have a mcdonalds baby....

cupcakefairy · 30/11/2009 15:32

Oh and how insensitive of me- meant to say a big meeeeh to buddha that's so rubbish after every hurdle to still be fighting. Really hope she's doing ok.

cupcakefairy · 30/11/2009 15:31

Yes, Wednesday is good for me Blue...about the only night I'm free this week actually, yay stupidly excited! Dh even said he'd watch it with me as he hasn't seen it since twas in the cinema and quite fancies it

Thanks, everyone has been saying how clear the pic is..either they had v good gear at the hospital or we have a v photogenic child My Mum thinks it looks like a boy just from that pic

barbie1 · 30/11/2009 15:02

just to add to blues post.....buddha gave the lo his frist breast feed but has to wait for 5 days to get the all clear from meningtus, thankfully the first test came back clear. poor girl, after everything she went through to get this far and now this set back. Im sure they will both be fine and im sure we will all send positive thoughts

bluesatinsash · 30/11/2009 14:54

barbie you've got it all to come!

I've just peeped at Buddha's other thread, sounds like her and Ewan have had a tough time . He has been on oxygen and had suspected meningitus and Strep B but was feeding well and getting stronger as of the weekend. Buddha - sending you ALL our prayers xxx

The worry never ends....

OP posts:
barbie1 · 30/11/2009 14:45

x post with blue at willy's, folds and being peed on! ...cringing as well at the thought of them playing with themselves once that little bit older!

barbie1 · 30/11/2009 14:41

Whooopppppiiiieeeeee 4ever hope the weeble is firmly up right now!

I found a weeble xmas decoration in moonson today well tbh its more like a russian doll but closest to a weeble i could find, so everytime i look at this for years to come i will always remember all of you and our amazing journeys

curly your like girl isnt going to be called emma/ emily or something like that in honour of the thread? im so want to know now!

mls at you going out for christmas lunch, i have all the family here and no doubt will spend hours preparing in advance as they only arrive 2 days prior to christmas...i have been trying to find a turkey and they cost soooo much, in the region of £100! Think i might settle for a frozen one and then get a nice bit of beef or something. The turkey can then be just a token gesture. I will so miss my mums christmas lunch though

bluesatinsash · 30/11/2009 14:36

Hey Cupcake - what a lovely and clear scan photo . Blue Peter badge is en route for your home made xmas cards!

In the defence of boys and their willies (is that the plural of willy or is it willy's? ). They are tiny and packaged really well - v. easy to clean - no 'folds' of you get my drift . I was also never peed on by DS - clever boy .

Barbie - good to see your 'pooter is letting you access MN again . Can't believe you're finishing up in three weeks but quite right too, that work of yours is v. long hours and mega drive and you need all your energy for the night feeds to come - . But seriously, just try and relax and enjoy some 'barbie' time before lo arrives. Don't fret too much about birth, what will happen will happen. Some people have easy peasy births and others not so much but its all forgotten about when you get home and look into your baby's eyes .

Cupcake and Vjay - Wed night for LA?? I'll be crying @ 1 hour in when 'both sides now' starts playing no doubt .

OP posts:
barbie1 · 30/11/2009 14:34

i see your pic cupcake v cute!

cupcakefairy · 30/11/2009 14:13

4ever- the weekly YEEEEAHHHHH. Seriously, you have a fighter there. Just so chuffed you're further on than ever it's amazing

MLS what a great idea for Christmas! No washing up that will be lovely.

Neeko we finally ordered the card and other stuff we need to make our Christmas cards yesterday we are way behind!! Bought our parents' pressies on the weekend but still a looong way to go (we both have a tribe of siblings!)

Blue I think it's good to still have a choice of names, then when bubs is born you can decide what they look like

Moon Hope you're doing ok. It's about time you gave us your details my lovely.. loads of us want to support you by text and email too cos MN is such a limited way to be in touch. Do send them to gracie [email protected] - I think that was the address? Hopefully she's still checking it but if not I'm sure kate can give her a nudge.

I did put my scan pic on profile but think it's still set to private or something- will try to tweak it now..

barbie- lol! Had to laugh at your 'cleaning willies' comment..I feel the same, it seems so weird! But then a (male) friend of ours said when they had their baby girl he was freaked out by the tiny little fanjo haha!

Curly!!!! I LOVED the mahoosive post; I've so missed them. That must have taken you an age. Thanks so much for the compliment about the article, you're lovely. My course is a fiction writing one with the OU; tis fab V intrigued about your name choice too, can't wait to hear it

MummyLovesSadie · 30/11/2009 13:32

....and lets out breath. Phew 4ever, hope you can relax an incy bit more now.

Neeko the Peppa putie was only £20 - go on you know she'd love it! Well done on being so organised. Now you can start planning your Christmas day menu! We have decided to cop out of Christmas this year, it will just be the three of us & we are having Christmas lunch in a restaurant.

bluesatinsash · 30/11/2009 13:31

YAY! 4ever - so relieved and uber happy for you and your DH xxxx

Neeko - you put us all to shame with your organisational skills .

MLS - eek! at symptoms....

OP posts:
Neeko · 30/11/2009 13:18

Afternoon.
Had a text from 4ever "One of the most nervous I've been pre scan as never been this far along before & there was bubba reassuring us! heart strong, moving round like mad, waving arms and legs! Thank god we are so relieved!" Yeah for 4ever MLS so glad that you sound happier. Lets hope this was a successful ov. I'm sure my DD would LOVE a Peppa puter too (how cute BTW) but have spent a fortune on her already and she's getting nothing else.

Will post more tonight but just to annoy cupcake I wanted to say, all Christmas cards written, 12 presents wrapped and all marking up to date [smug emoticon]. Probably going to fall flat on my face shortly!
