monkeybumsmum · 01/12/2009 15:24

X posts Blue Thanks re ds, yours is pretty gorgeous too Am also loving your bump pic - makes it all a bit more real to see bumps rather than just imagine them! Think it might've grown a wee bit since that was taken though - how long have you got to go now? Am presuming it's less than a month, so good luck for whenever it happens! You must be very excited now!

VJay · 01/12/2009 15:23

Lol sabs I've teated mermaid too, I've only ever texted blue

Hi monkey lets hope all these procedures now bring on a BFP for you, fingers crossed

Sabs1981 · 01/12/2009 15:23

My nan's become so weak due to her diabetes and Alzheimer's. Bless her, she kept on forgetting DD's name. We had to gently keep on reminding her that her name is Saara and we named her after her....

monkeybumsmum · 01/12/2009 15:17

Sabs Hello My goodness - I just took a peek at little Saara, and she is just scrumptious! Congratulations on such a gorgeous girl, and she sounds like she's doing really well! Must've been lovely to introduce her to her great-nan, and probably rather emotional. Bet they were thrilled to meet her

Mermaid You do have a good memory! I shall gratefully accept any sticky baby dust that's thrown my way, thanks! Lord knows we've tried everything else It has been such a long year, can't believe that I started out this year with such high hopes, feels like wasted energy Mind you, I do feel a bit more hopeful now after your wonderful news...
How did you get on at Boots earlier? Did you get everything you need? If it's any use I've been told to take 100mg of aspirin upon getting a BFP, and to just keep going with it. It's great that you had a nice bold line on the hpt, means that all the right stuff is happening

4ever It's nice to have been missed I shall endeavour to come back more often! How are you feeling? When is your next scan? Am so happy this pg is going well for you, after all that you've been through...
I haven't been up to much, but have had some tests over the summer and it turns out I have endometriosis. I had a laparoscopy about ten days ago and they took it out, plus a cyst that that I had on my ovary. Am still off work, so am using this opportunity to do important things like be on MN Dr seems hopeful this'll do the trick (the op, not the being on MN ), but I know someone who has endo, had a lap and still isn't pg, so it's difficult to believe it might finally happen.

Neeko I didn't realise you were 24 weeks, wow you must have a lovely bump by now That's so weird that you saw a BFP plate this morning, there is definately some psychic stuff going on here!

Just got back from collecting ds from school so am off to scoop him up in a big fat cuddle...

Sabs1981 · 01/12/2009 15:16

sorry i meant to say cold not flu!

Sabs1981 · 01/12/2009 15:15

Good to hear ajays recovering from the flu vjay.

I texted mermaid for the first time ever, thats how excited I am for her! blue I had to laugh at you nearly telling the other mums. I can imagine you saying "mermaid got a BFP!"

VJay · 01/12/2009 15:09

Hi sabs Ajay is fine thanks, fully recovered from his cold. He's been a bit niggly today but I think that's because of his jabs yesterday. Love that new picture too, she is sooooo cute

blue second births are easier, well mine was, and I'm sure yours will be too

Still grinning like a Cheshire cat for mermaid

bluesatinsash · 01/12/2009 15:05

Saara is gorgeous Sabs and really suits red

OP posts:
Sabs1981 · 01/12/2009 15:00

Thanks vjay

When she does sleep through the night, I end up waking up in the night to check she's still breathing

I've added one more picture as I realised you can't see her face that well in the photo's I have put up, lol

How's ajay?

bluesatinsash · 01/12/2009 14:56

Right, back. DS is napping (lulled to sleep by me reading him Harry Potter )

Mermaid - you need a pregnancy PLAN!

Told DH - tick (like the reverse psychology with your DH there re: your age and BTW 41 is NOT old

Allow yourself for today at least to be widely happy and excited. The worry can commence tomorrow and for that we are all here. Any pg can only have two outcomes and one involves a bouncing DC2 for you and mrmermaid - how fantastic is that?

Hope you are going to get wrapped in deluxe cotton wool from your consultant and hope you SLOW DOWN and look after yourself.

Look at the reaction your news has had on us all. I nearly told all the Mums at mini gyms this morning as I was so over the moon xxx

Buddha - told you the SPD would vanish!! Really hope you and Ewan are coming on and you get home soon. Sending lots of love and strength to you both xx

Neeko and 4ever thanks for acknowledging my December milestone - its been a long, long journey but my due month is finally here and babyblue is still incubating . Neeko lovely that you're at 24 weeks, a huge mini milestone to get to too

Still for you too 4ever. Hope you've gone down a tog in your cotton wool and its more like chiffon than fur wrapped round you now .

Hey Monkeybum - lovely to see you back and your DS is still cute as ever. Still love that photos of him triumphant at poo sticks . How is it all going with you?

Aww Cupcake - lovely you are getting some flutterings .

Vjay - happy 3rd month birthday Ajay*! 15lbs - what a great weight. My DS is an Ijay as his middle name is James too. Lovely to read how Cjay and him are doting over each other..

MLS honey - how are you feeling today/this week?

Hi Gracie - caught up with the thread yet ? 30 weeks its just marching on Sorry to hear you had a tough time at work - meh! to them.

Well its December and I really hope mermaids BFP signals a very merry Christmas for us all whether it is more BFPs, good scans, hearing hb on dopplers, getting to 24 weeks, starting mat leave, easy births (snuck that one in for me ), getting lo home (buddha) and savouring every minute with them (saggy panters).

OP posts:
VJay · 01/12/2009 14:55

oh sabs she is gorgeous

VJay · 01/12/2009 14:53

mermaid congratulations, I am sooooooo happy for you , you have given me goose bumps, what with you and 4ever I'm getting very bumpy

Well done to Saara sabs on sleeping through the night, that is good, Ajay has done it a few times but generally wakes up once which is good.

buddha thinking of you and little Ewan, hope you are both doing ok

mermaid

Sabs1981 · 01/12/2009 14:52

Have put a couple of pics up.

Hoping if you're lurking, Saara is wearing the knitted hat you sent me earlier this year.

Sabs1981 · 01/12/2009 14:42

Hi ladies, I hope you're all well..

Can I start off by saying congratulations to mermaid Honey I am sooooo happy for you!! I was in tears when I read your posts. The other day I went back to the thread over on the mc board where a lot of us all met for the first time over a year ago and reading the messages bought back a lot of painful memories but it also showed me how lucky and blessed I am to be in the position that I am now. You were so supportive of me back then so I hope I can repay back some of the support over the next few weeks and months.

Also there were people on there like scamperT jonesy vm and monkeysmumsbum on there and what a coincidence that monkey should come back on here to post! I hope you're well honey and we would love to have you back on here.

Can you believe that back in November 2008 I wrote that I thought my next baby would be a girl - think I must have borrowed barbie's crystal ball back then!

4ever thanks for an update from buddha If you're lurking buddha we're all thinking of you and Ewan

4ever so happy to hear that you are finally starting to believe! I am so happy for you hun

neeko congrats also from me for reaching 24 weeks, which is such a milestone..

lionstar lovely to hear from you. Was laughing at your mattress story, poor you, having to do all that cleaning up.

curly you've got us all wondering about the name now! Can't believe you are nearly 30 weeks Is that now 14 days of work left??

neeko I would love to see your 20 week scan pic! You have my number. I also put on weight after my mc (went up a whole dress size ) and not as much as I was expecting when pregnant. Ordered a Wii last week so hoping that will help me shift the weight and entertain Saara at the same time!

anniecam Hope you and Ellis are well. I somehow got missed out of the photo of Ellis. Would be grateful if someone could text it to me.

lbm Have you made that appointment with the mw?

cupcake so excited you got to feel your lo

moon you dont sound selfish at all. Hope we can all help you via mn

vjay thanks for the update - can't believe ajay is 3 months! Well Saara turned 2 months yesterday so it must be true Saara had her 8 weeks jab yesterday, an injection in each thigh. Poor girl started screaming, the loudest Ive ever heard her cry Took my sister with me who said I looked like I was going to cry too!

bq Hope you had a good holiday

gg so nice to hear from you! at your managers. Enjoy your time before your lo makes an appearance.

cupcake Lovely scan pic

barbie How was dubai-land for Eid? Lots of animals about I bet! I used to get leg cramp at night as well. I used to scream "cramp cramp!!" at DH who knew this meant he had to start massaging my leg straight away. And he usually got told off by me for massaging the wrong leg!

blue How are you feeling? Not long to go!

jools and mls I hope you ladies are doing well.

Hope I havent missed anyone out.

Saara's first Eid went well. I'll post some photo's of her later on. We surprised the family by turning up unannounced to my grandparents up North and Saara got to meet my nan, who she's named after for the very first time. Those who are on FB can see some pics if they want.

I have to say I am very blessed with Saara. Since last week she has started sleeping through the night. She only ever cries if she needs a feed, sleep or has done a poo. I bet now ive said that, something will go wrong! She's smiling ang gurgling a lot and loves looking at her self in the mirror - she definately doesnt get the vain-ness from me!

Best be off - what a long post

mermaidspurse · 01/12/2009 14:14

awwwww bloody hell I am just a soggy lump now. monkeya big boo to you hope that made you jump girl! I was thinking of you the other day and hoping you were ok. Its been a very long year hasn't it? I am going to throw you a shed load of this sticky baby dust your way and you just never know lovely lady.xx

buddha so thinking of you and little ewan. scbu will sort everthing out and I will keep my fingers corssed for the results. Big horrah that the spd has gone.

neeko loving the number plate!

I have told dh. He paled visibly but I got in about being too old before he had time to say anything so all he could do was give me a big hug and say of course your not too old dear

4everhopeful · 01/12/2009 12:37

mermaid, buddha wanted me to send u massive congrats! She said she sobbed with joy for u! She is movin down to scbu to be closer to Ewan & to give hope to the big panters in pain, her spd is gone!
