moon far better to admit it than let it eat you up and fester, well done. She knows your pain I am sure and she is not hiding from you and that is what true friends do. So bitter sweet honey. Thinking of youxxxxxx

and so with the topsy turvyness of our thread, the complete circle of life the universe and all that leads me on to iggy picturing you with painted toes and a cheshire cat grin

BlueMoon1981 · 08/12/2009 19:20

my friend from work just text me to say she has given birth 3 weeks early to her new baby dd2 and sent me the most beautiful photo. i did tell her it was ok to do it, but omg i feel so gut wrenchingly sad when i should be happy for her...

iggypiggy · 08/12/2009 13:48

I am smiling - but also feeling terrible and like I might fall asleep on the keyboard...

I am 8 weeks today - measurements were exactly right for 7 + 6 yesterday.

Neeko · 08/12/2009 13:34

Hi all.
My bumps and bruises are very sore today and still feeling stupid.

Mermaid glad you've got the meds sorted. make sure DH wraps you in cotton wool.

Iggy are you still smiling? How far along are you?

Hope everyone else is well.

iggypiggy · 08/12/2009 13:03

just had a look at annie's pic - he is v. cute!

neeko so glad you ok - hope you in less pain now?

mermaid does this mean it makes you extra happy?!

mermaidspurse · 08/12/2009 08:01

iggy so pleased and relieved all rolled into one for you.

neeko think we had better rewrap you up in cotton wool. Slap some arnica on and please be careful. I suppose your weight balance is altering. You need barbies little old lady to carry you up the stairs.
So relieved you are ok though take it easy.

moon It is hard when you feel that gulf between your dh when all it feels like it would take is a big hug to make you feel better.

Blokes are blokes and they deal with things in such different ways and on a different level to us completely, no matter how 21C they are and even though they know how to cook courgettes, they are still neolithic with emotion.
We are all here for that exact reason of supporting each other lovely moon so hold on and we will get you through this.
After 4 mc I can see a very clear pattern for me and hope this helps you a little. It really does take me a full year to get myself back together and be able to touch babies feet( I just love babies feet) and be the normal person I was before a mc. You have done so blinking well, we have to sweep this year out of the way and start a nice new fresh one.x

well the lovely chemist got me masses of cyclogest and so we are keeping fingers crossed. dh is scared to ever touch me again and has started viewing me as some kind of scientific experiment Interesting to read they prescribe it for PND.

opps time to get ds up.
4ever is having a babyall so exciting. well done again ig mls hope dd is ok and you are tooxxx

annie hugest biggest congratulations he is delicious and you all look so very happy

jools glad you had an ace time, 'see' you later.x

Neeko · 07/12/2009 21:36

Hi all.

Have texted you already but so pleased for 4ever and iggy! Fab news. mermaid's turn for good news next.

Annie Welcome back! Lovely pics of you and your gorgeous sons. Congratulations! I know you'll have come to terms with your c-section by now. Doesn't matter how they come out as long as all is well.

Jools Welcome back too. So pleased to hear you had a good time. Really hope you had some Gluhwein at a Christmas market.

MLS Hope you're feeling better and the hands are beginning to heal. Hope your DD has coped ok with it all too.

Moon another big hug from me.

Blue any twinges yet? I'm getting quite excited for you.

I had planned to post to everyone tonight but I slipped on the 3rd stair when climbing the stairs earlier and landed back on top of the stairgate. I've had movement since so baby appears to be ok but feel all sore, twisted and as if I've been run over. Also feel quite stupid and clumsy I'll post more tomorow when in less pain.

iggypiggy · 07/12/2009 21:14

Hi all, so glad 4ever posted cos I has to battle with the Xmas shoppers to get home and post!

Anyway, it was good news, measuring right for my dates and saw strong heartbeat. So pleased! Obviously still a long way to go, but is already further than last time.

Thanks to all of you lovely girls for thinking of me, it means so much xxx

bluesatinsash · 07/12/2009 20:41

Just a quickie but fabulous news 4ever and Iggy* - just wonderful - as you say a "good scan day Monday"

Moon - big hug.

Annie - I've already cooed over your photos on FB. Your DS1 and 2 are absolutely gorgeous and you looked so so happy in your hospital goonie . So a VBAC wasn't meant to be but look at the end result a bonnie bouncing boy and happy, delirious Mum - what more can you ask for?

Love to all, I'm knackered and off to bed x

Joolsiam · 07/12/2009 19:37

Hi everyone

Just back from a fab weekend in Berlin We were 3.5 hours late back, thanks to Sleazyjet. I did try to post from the airport and offer 4Ever and Iggy more hands to hold but my phone wouldn't let me

Absolutely shattered and have got to repack to head off to Gloucester tomorrow for work, so just a quick hello. There are some pics of the weekend on facebook I think - not sure I am tagged in them yet, but probably will be, so you can take a peek

I was thinking of Moon at the weekend and keeping fingers tightly crossed that all was still well with Mermaid. Lovely to see Annie and Buddha back with us

Hopefully I will have internet access in my hotel and can catch up properly with everyone .... x x x

BlueMoon1981 · 07/12/2009 19:23

annie your photos are beautiful

another big YAY for 4ever, things are looking good for you

hope all is well for iggy

hi curly its nice to have you back again

nothing to say from my side really, feeling a bit empty after the weekend, not sure if thats good or bad and have completely lost all faith in dp for the time being for not understanding what a crap time i am going through, i only want a hug and some reassurance now and again is that too much to ask? seems appropriate here!

CurlyBigPants · 07/12/2009 18:58

Heading out but will try and lurk on phone

CurlyBigPants · 07/12/2009 18:56

Just lurking for news of iggy Anyone hear yet?

Hi mermaid thinking of you loads at the moment, lots of positive thoughts

Right dinner is ready, see yous later xx

anniebigpants · 07/12/2009 16:42

Hello ladies, im just catching up with all the news, excuse any typos, ive got a babba on my shoulder who should really be asleep but is far too nosy, so im typing one handed .
Firstly so so happy on your wonderful news mermaid
Glad scan went well today lovely 4ever, now breathe!
Thinking of iggy for her scan at 6pm.
Hope Saturday went okay moon, and echo what others have said about dp/dh forgetting the date or appearing not to be bothered, mine only remembered because i told him and had written it on the calendar.
Welcome back monkeysbumsmum-im sure we have 'spoken' before on here.
Buddha-Glad to hear you and Ewan are back home together.

Much love and hugs to everyone.
Im still in a haze of euphoria with my darling boy, my DC1 has been wonderful, he loves him to bits.
I wont bore you all with my birth story but i didnt get my longed for VBAC, cue me sobbing my heart out on the trollet getting taken to theatre and all the way through the operation
All in all it was for the best that i had cs as it was discovered that the cord had a comlete knot in, and could have had devesting consequences if id had a VBAC, my scar was also showing signs of rupturing. Im healing well from cs, just frustrated i cant drive-boo hoo.
I,ll try and get back on as often as i can.
Ive put some phots on my profile if anyone fancies a nosey.

barbie1 · 07/12/2009 16:04

Well done 4ever

Thanks for the update curly

Now lets all send positive thoughts to ms iggy......

CurlyBigPants · 07/12/2009 15:45

YAYYYYYYYYYYYY 4ever had good scan!!! Both hands now freed up for iggy to hold at 6pm

I should get back to work I suppose

barbie1 · 07/12/2009 14:56

Hello....

iggy im gonna try to stay up late to catch news of your scan....although its only 6.40 something and im knackered already! Everything crossed for you....

4ever i had the worse boobies for ages, even now some days they still really hurt. Im already blessed with 32dd but i went up a whole two sizes in the first 16 weeks, they felt weird and sore, even had stuff coming out of them that early on so please dont worry

cupcake totally understand you having a little wobble, so many times throughout this pregnancy i have had a cry or moan and then felt totally guilty because its something i wanted for so long its the horror-mones!

I have a ton of things to catch up on since we spent most of the weekend out and about, i will catch up with you all soon xxx

cupcakefairy · 07/12/2009 13:18

Just a quick hello ladies-
buddha so glad you are home well done on getting through all that!

4ever seriously my boobs are scaring me too as I'm normally only a C cup and now they are just scarily big and firm...dh even said they looked a bit like fake boobs the other day which was weird... honestly I'm sure it's perfectly normal.
Massive hand-holds and hair-strokes for you and iggy today..will be sending up prayers as usual

I'm also v pleased to hear the shellfish thing I'd been totally avoiding it but maybe after my 16-wk appointment I'll be a bit more lenient! I adore prawns & all seafood. I really miss brie/camembert so much and have already told dh he has to buy me lots of it after the birth

Thanks so much for your reassuring words everyone.. really really don't want to sound selfish and ungrateful for being pregnant or anything like that so sorry if I did... but I'm just so sick of feeling crap this year - when dh lost his job it just sent me over the edge and I still don't feel recovered from it, now he's in a job he doesn't even enjoy that much & I'm constantly terrified he's going to lose it again. I'm excited about the baby, I really am...and when I imagine weekends with dh it feels all lovely but imagining doing it on my own makes me panic and feel sick. Just having major confidence crisis & I haven't even told dh I'm feeling like this cos he wouldn't get it... he is just so brave about everything & just brilliant that I feel like a massive let-down to him sometimes
ok better stop or I will start crying again!
Sorry for me me me I only meant to post quickly

4everhopeful · 07/12/2009 12:27

X post mermaid its most def the pessaries u need hon.. Thanks for the well wishes too! Im listening to a lovely christmas hymn on this mornin with a choir & gettin emotional, i love it, am getting excited at all the open doors on our advent calender! Right enough waffling from me, am gonna slowly start gettin ready now....

4everhopeful · 07/12/2009 12:19

Thanks blue ur right im very wee in the boobie dept so prob what it is.... Love the sound of ur Dh & u welcomin christmas, i must confess i only wrote the cards for posting & only wrapped 4 pressies while Dh watched football! I much appreciate the big sisterly hand & will now be lying in the scan room breaking dh fingers & imagining u all in cheerleader outfits shouting 'grow baby grow' Massive thanks to my other ever consistent support buddy neeko as well x x x x x

mermaidspurse · 07/12/2009 12:08

4ever 3 oclock will be thinking of you shed loads

iggy 6 oclock everything crossed lol at we will be in the room blue what a squeeze especially with you in there

vjay glad you enjoyed your whistlestop tour, kisses to the boys.x

mls hoping that your dd is feeling better.

no cards written, no presents wrapped, no decs up. Its ages isn't it?

rushed to get my cyclogest and they have snet capsules and not pessaries so checking with dr this afternoon so hopefully I can have the 15 pessaries that they found in the baxck of the cupboard.

bluesatinsash · 07/12/2009 11:46

Hey 4ever - we're getting our real tree this wekeend too, I love the smell of them . Also got some new baubles form Next which co-ordinate with our living room - yay!

Fret not re: your boobies, am I right in saying you're normally quite wee in that area? If you are you're like me so having bigger boobs can feel just plain weird. Saying that I've only crept up a cup size. All my growth has been in the nipple area - they are scary looking . Giving you big sister hand hold for later, we're all there in the room remember x

Iggy - big thoughts for you later. The first scan is always the worst, brining back bad memories, not daring to hope... Big hugs and hand holds.

Hi and welcome back Vjay - the Falkirk Wheel is an engineering extravaganza! It basically links two canals in Falkirk by means of lifting barges up from one to the other. Tis very impressive and they do a fantastic Santa trip. Well worth a visit if you're passing through .

Barbie - you a drama queen? Nooooo .

Mermaid - hope coffee starts to turn your stomach soon so you don't miss it! Are you meeting the Consultant today? I'm getting confused...

LBM - how did the sleepover go? Hope you survived and didn't find any stray children under the bed this morning

DH and me officially welcomed Christmas last night by me writing all our cards and him wrapping all of DS's presents whilst watching the music channels playing xmas songs All that was missing was a wee glass of Bailey's...

Waves to everyone else, better go. My Mum is picking DS up from playgroup and will be here demanding lunch soon x
