Hi
Thanks for the support. So so lovely to have all of you who understand and can help to pick me up and dust me down. Had a real sobfest last night, but, as usual, it has helped me to get things more into perspective today.

Mermaid Had a toatl heartmelt moment at your DH referring to you in plural. Keep eating whatever you fancy. In 7-8 months you can start the life-long diet again. Plus what you are doing now is FAR more important than writing Christmas cards.

LBM You are the best secret keeper in the whole world. Enjoy being reclaimed by RL.

Vjay I love hearing you talk of your boys I hope your first Christmas as a family of four is a perfect one.

Cupcake Good luck for today. It's the best sound in the world and will have you grinning for days.

My bump hasn't been moving very much over the past couple of days.It is moving sometimes but only with prodding . Should I get it checked out or stop being paranoid?

mermaidspurse · 10/12/2009 11:40

lbm 17 weeks that snuck by. I am mrs tubby now and don't think I can be hiding it at 17 weeks! You have done mega well to hide it this long and will have everything crossed for next week. Just take it easy out there in rl thinking of you heaps.x

littlebellsmum · 10/12/2009 10:45

Xpost mermaid - yes, I think my trousers are tight as I am eating all the pies and the houmous and anything that happens to be in the fridge!! I'm sure the tomatos help!!

littlebellsmum · 10/12/2009 10:43

4ever scan pictures are lovely - bubba's looking good

LovelyNeeko and Barbie Hope you are both having better days

MLS Hope DD is feeling better - horrible time to be ill, so much fun to have.

blue wow, 39 weeks - how good is that and not long now!!

Iggy great news - 7 weeks and growing!!

mermaid Good luck with the scan - hope you still feel rubbish!!

Hello to everyone else!!

I think that Cupcake might have her 16 week MW appt today? If so, hope it goes well.

I've got mine booked for next Friday at which point I will be 17 weeks..... And once, I'm happy there is a heart beat, I think we might get round to telling some people - all being well a little Christmas present for the dc's and grandparents!! Also, better tell work at some point - I am so lucky that I never show for ages.
However trousers getting tight and wardrobe getting limited!!

I'm probably not going to be around for a while - RL is claiming me back. I'll probaby lurk before Christmas and let you know how next Friday goes.

Good luck all - see you soon

mermaidspurse · 10/12/2009 10:35

bother. forgot 4ever omg fingers and everything how clever are you!
Well actually i think you are clever for getting photos onto your profie let alone making that little soldier of a bean Its lovely to see.

mermaidspurse · 10/12/2009 10:32

mn hq is probably feeling like me bah humbug
my name is mermaid and i have not written any cards yet

neeko it is a horrible feeling when it all gets on top of you.
sod the housework and definately no ironing and thats an order.
No one in our house had clean knickers this morning

It is horrible when dhs work so hard mine is gone at 6.30 back at 6 and then out again till about 9 but then at least I can take ds up to see him after school which has always made such a difference.

barbie goodness you could at least have tried falling in the icecream counter
I think we need to rewrap you in cotton wall with some kirsty type ribbons Roll on maternity leave.

vjay have you got more exams coming up? Glad you are ok and enjoying your boys. Think we all need to really look forward to our men having some time off over christmas.

mls I am hoping you are both tucked up on the sofa with dvds and make dd better goodies. They are so little somehow when they are poorly, big kiss to her and hope you are also okc and not too knackered being florence nightingale.

monkey I thought you were meant to be resting? But if you are indeed rushing then I guess its a good sign that you are feeling better. Don't forget the water and lots of it

jools worst nightmare and in a room full of men, the things we go through. I reckon though that its a good sign of your body having a good clear out. Glad you feel great though and looking forward to showing this year the door.

blue have you started retidying the cupboards? Glad you are ok, sounds like you are getting close. Everytime I think of you going into labour I hear 'we built this city'

iggy hope that you are still feeling on top of the world. I know its still a weebling time though and sending you lots of thoughts.

I have just read the fat content of the red pepper houmous that I am currently eating my way through every 2 days 12.4g Have started putting tomato slices on top to try and balance things up!

Also been keepng an eye on the august anti natal thread, like checking on peoples symptoms and very supersticiously really happy that no one has pinched my edd yet nearly every date is taken except the 7th so I may if things go ok put myself in there next week.
dh is talking of me plurally(sp) so it is sinking in, bit bloody scared though. I have never seen a heartbeat on any of my mc 2 of then were scaned at 6 weeks and no beat so I am trying not to dwell. Tummy feels different though almost as though its tying itself in a knot. Not that dreaded pulsating low ache so we can but wobble from one day to the next.

moon I so hope that it does become a little easier for you now with the dates and births under the belt lovely lady.

mm come out come out wherever you are yes not long for you either.x

VJay · 10/12/2009 09:31

4ever lovely scan pictures, you can see so much, it's so exciting isn't it

blue what you said about the long journey to get where you are now is so true, I was exactly the same, I still think it now when I look at Ajay and realise how lucky I am. Not long now, I check everyday for news

neeko I do feel for you so much. In June my dh was put into a more stressful job at work and was told it was for 3 months up until Ajay was born....he's still there now and works so hard, long hours, doesn't switch off when he gets home, and is missing out on both ds's at the moment. He should be back to his old job in the new year and I can't wait

moon I do hope that you get some closure now and that will help you to move on, but if not you look into some councelling (sp?) it can't hurt can it

barbie hope you have a calmer day today

mm not long for you now either, hope you are ok

mls hope your dd is getting better the poor thing.

Big waves to everyone else, and yes, where are the Christmas smileys

Neeko · 09/12/2009 20:46

Beautiful pics 4ever - with pics like those a part of your heart has to believe.

Blue Glad baby is moving in the right direction and congrats on the hats. I bought a baby record book on Sunday and have forced myself to write in it already. It's such a hard thing to do when you know you wont believe it til the baby's in your arms - and then you'd need to trust DH to buy the hats, God forbid!

Moon you sound a bit better so hopefully you have turned a corner. If not we'll be nagging persuading you to keep that new year's resolution.

MLS's DD is really poorly again. This disease seems really nasty

Thanks to Blue and 4ever for your support. I've had a huge sob to myself once DD was in bed which has helped. For the record though, an early home for DH just now is two mins before DD's bath time at 7pm. He's constantly shattered too, poor soul. I'm with Moon in looking forward to a shiny new year!

BlueMoon1981 · 09/12/2009 20:29

aww 4ever your scan photos are lovely, he/she looks a decent size already!

jools i agree, the end of this year can't come quick enough. sod christmas and everything else, i just want a clean slate and a brand shiny new year full of hope again. sorry to hear you flooded, but men being men won't have had the first clue. good to hear you sounding so positive

thanks to curly, neeko, mermaid barbie and blue (and anyone else i have probably missed) for your words of wisdom. i am conscious i haven't done much lately except bleat on about how sad i am and and about everything. as for the councelling (sp?) i have promised myself that if i still feel like this in January, i will seek some help. i personally feel that now the 2nd edd and my friends baby being born are out of the way (in the nicest possible way) i have some sort of closure to deal with now, and i can start trying to find me again.

i have said it before but i will say it again - you lot are lifesavers, without you i think i would have fallen over the edge of the cliff. i laugh and cry with each and every one of you, you are all amazing women, and i truly thank you from the bottom of my (broken) heart for being there and offering your support.

bluesatinsash · 09/12/2009 20:20

Aww 4ever - what lovely scan photos - especially seeing the wee fingers . Its an honour to meet baby4ever . I'm thinking a girl?!!

Neeko - honey, wish I could waddle pop round for a cuppa. You work so hard and are always attentive to everyone on here despite having to juggle being pregnant with full-time job/DD/hard working DH/house etc. I really admire you and neither wonder you're feeling scunnered. Christmas holidays are nearly here so keep that thought in your head! Just remember it won't be long until you're off on mat leave and DD is at ante-pre giving you some well deserved and long overdue 'me' time (and maybe a wee trip into Glasgow to meet me and babyblue!)

Barbie - honey #2. Only 2 weeks until you can fully rest and relax. You've worked so hard and had to contend with your long hours, its probably feeling worse today as your mat leave is so near and yet so far...

Iggy - another vote for reassurance scans! I had them at 6, 7, 9 and 11 weeks and helped, in fact were the only reason I kept sane. Roll on your 11+6 week one though

Well babyblue is heading in the right direction . Midwife said head is down at the brim of cervix, not engaged but not free any more either. Bought my first baby clothes today - two tiny velvet hats, one in pink and one in blue for baby leaving hospital. Had a wee moment there in the shop thinking how this journey started back in July 2008 and all the pain, heartache, worry and stress that's happened since then. I'm nearly there, so nearly there and just wanted to say a truly heartfelt thanks for always being there, asking after me and sharing your heartfelt stories too, oh I'm getting all full of emulsion as my FIL would say .

Right off to do the ironing and yes where are the xmas smilies?!!

OP posts:
4everhopeful · 09/12/2009 19:17

Aw Neeko hon - big hug again from me too you, at least Dh lates are only 2/3 daya a week, how long does he get off for christmas? It will do you both the world of good when the hols arrive, theres light at the end of the tunnel, only 2weeks to go!!!

........and where are the christmas smileys?!?!?

iggy good to hear you're healthily shattered! I was, and still am reguarly going to bed at 9pm & dont know how Id of survived if I was trying to work!

I have just spent FOREVER trying to upload some scan pics on my profile! I have so many scan pics already I could fill an album up! We have them in little frames all over the house!!!! Anyway I managed to get 3 of Mondays pics uploaded to my profile, they are quite clear, some are funny angles & the one where you can see bubbas little hand its face looks like a little monkey! The one where you can see its arm & leg its turning over so looks really skinny, and the one where you can see its face, you cant see its arms or legs, but you get the drift!!!

monkeybumsmum · 09/12/2009 19:01

Hello!!

Been madly busy and not had chance to post, but just wanted to say well done to Iggy and 4ever What fab news! Am so glad things are going well for both of you

Have to dash as just got in, but hi to all, and I hope you're all okay x

Neeko · 09/12/2009 17:52

Thanks Iggy I stop a week on Tuesday but unfortunately have lots of work to do before then and then Christmas dinner to organise.

I'd definitely have the reassurance scan. I had scans at 8.5, 11 and 13 weeks. The middle one was a reassurance one. i didn't think I'd need it but it really helped to keep me sane(ish)

iggypiggy · 09/12/2009 17:45

4ever I x-posted with you! Am not sure - I have been offered the option of a reassurance scan in 2 weeks time, that I can book at short notice. If I can cope with waiting my next scan would be 4th Jan - which should be 11 + 6. I might go for that reassurance one tho!

Stretching pains sound ok to me As is so good you getting such good care and monitoring through this pregnancy - you so deserve it.

neeko sorry you feeling down - I pretty sure Christmas on top of everything else is a massive extra pressure - do you finish work soon for the xmas break? Am hoping you do... I think it sounds like you need a break.. xx

Neeko · 09/12/2009 17:12

Hi all.

Jools The bleeding must have been pretty but glad you handled it so well. Hope it's a sign of your body having a massive clearout before a sparkly new BFP.

Iggy Early nights definitely help so indulge yourself. I started to feel better at about 14 weeks so it wont be long.

Barbie Falling into the salad counter made me laugh! Keep an eye on that bleeding and put your feet up while you can.

Blue I thought you might have been away as well (No pressure from us!) Hope midwife apt went ok. Don't suppose she gave you a wee rumble?

4ever stretching pain all good. If you think you're stretching too much now just wait til 30 odd weeks! Take it easy. Glad to hear work is being so understanding.

Mermaid sorry you were rumbled about the car but please do use the pregnancy as an excuse!

Curly hope you're managing to get enough rest. You can't have many weeks left til mat leave surely.

Heard from MLS this morning and her DD's temp was down, so that's a relief. There's nothing more worrying than a sick child.

Uni visit went well though their wee white scared faces suggested they've a bit of growing up to do between now and September.

My bruises are healing but I'm really struggling with everything just now. DH was promoted in June and is on 6 month's trial. Things are really hectic with his work and he has been working 6 days a week, up to 15 hours a day (2-3 times a week) for a while now. I'm very grateful that he has a job right now but the strain of it all is getting a bit much. He's very stressed and even when at home is mentally at work, DD misses her Daddy and plays up a lot for him when's he's home and I'm just struggling trying to juggle a very demanding full time job, a ever-increasing bump, a demanding and emotional 3 year old, Christmas, housework and everything else. I feel constantly ready to cry and don't know how much longer I can keep it all going. Sorry for the me post but really felt it was time to write it all down. I feel like I'm doing everything and yet doing nothing right

iggypiggy · 09/12/2009 16:37

Hello all!

Has been quite quiet on here recently...

moon I was up to such a high newborn count for my friends in October I was v. sad about it, especially so close to my EDD, I think it was 10 newborns in 6 weeks or something.... Anyway, can totally understand the terrible sadness of seeing pics like that. I also think curly's idea for a plan is a really good one - I remember curly saying that to me and a plan did seem to help me feel like I was actually doing something. but obviously we all different, so I hope you feeling a bit better today x

barbie sounds like v. stressful day - especially seeing the blood. I hope you are feeling a bit better now and can relax tonight. x

blue am getting v. excited about our next cyber nephew/neice arriving

mermaid hope you enjoying the sand and the drugs.

cupcake I hoep you feeling a bit more cheery?

curly surely you deserve to stop feeling sick soon?

jools poor you with the flooding - but sounds like probably no-one noticed. I hope it is just everything getting back in sync and getting used to the new drugs. Also v. glad you feeling better.

big waves to everyone else and to all of our cyber nephews and neice!

I am feeling ok today - which is good cos yesterday was pretty bad (am not complaining tho!) - but i think it all relates to tiredness as much as anything, so am thinking that going to be at 9.30pm yesterday helped!

xxx

4everhopeful · 09/12/2009 16:29

Oh Barbie those horrormones are at it again arent they?!? So pleased your mat leave starts soon hon! Enjoy that bath & much needed early night!

Moon wanted to offer a big squeezy hug to you . My remaining bf was also due at same time as my last edd & I practically ignored her through the preg & broke my heart when she had her dd in aug, like Neeko said it took lots of chats & softly softly approaches to maintain the freindship, it was hard, & as Neeko also said I will always now look at her new DD & think what might have been, but in a wierdly comforting way too. Strangely another friend had a dd at same time as my 1st loss & she will be 2 in april & both called their dd's the same name, Ill be seeing them both together next week & it will be wierd.. Its so very natural too feel like that & sharing how you feel is definatley healthy. I also agree with the others, talk to your DH & explain that you will always remember your edd, not just to be maudlin, but cos there will always be reminders that put it in your face, like your friends birth has.. xx

Curly I was also very at the idea of you doing 12hr days! DH has been doing some lately & the idea of being preg doing it horrorfies me!!! No wonder you feel pukey & knackered alot of the time, whens that mat leave start?! I spoke to my work yest & well pleased that I have 5days hol to take over to Jan to add to my 28 quota for the year, Im officially back at work on the 11th Jan but have agreed first 2 wks I will do half days & 4 day weeks after that

Jools another non stop grafter! Poor you & super heavy AF, mine were a bit like that this past year, its horrible.. BTW sounds like a great time away in Germany at christmas markets with the girls, just the tonic to get in the festive spirit, great to hear you sounding so upbeat still as well! x

Blue wierd Barbie woke up thinking of you cos so did I!!! I was asleep & got a tx through about 8am & was gonna ignore it, but thought 'what if Blues gone into labour*?!' Hmm maybe its a sign!!! Make sure you let us know wont you!!!!

Still beaming for Iggy btw hope you feel reassured a bit now! Are you going back for another before your 12wk?

Mermaid you next hon! weeble away when you need too, you're doing really well, we're all here holding your hand! How you finding the cyclogest, bit yukky aint they? Sex not really an option anyway cos so gunky!! Glad to hear you're feeling sick Heard from your golfer wonderful consultant yet? xx

Neeko hope you are feeling less bruised & crappy today? Whens DH start doing normal hours again? Really pleased schools soon out for you & you can get some quality 'you' time back.. Big hug xxx

Cupcake my lovely, hope you are also feeling less down about things, those blummin horrormones damn them! As I said, I think you'll be the most fabulous mum cos you're such a kind thoughtful sweetie, remember that! Wanna hear all about your midwife apt tomorrow!!! xx

MLS so worrying about your poor DD, sending a spoon ful of sugar to help her medicine go down & all things sweet & lovely for a speedy recovery, hope you're haging in there... xx

Baking how you doing? Not been about for a while?

Big wave to Monkey too!

Hair smells & tummy rubs to our lovely cyber niece & nephews! Coffee, foot rubs & 40 winks to our yummy mummy saggy pants Buddha, Annie, Vjay, Sabs and Lion!

All ok with me apart from very achey ribs & tummy like stretching & contorting pains, then I worry Im overstretching myself as I ache, then worrying if all my aches are in fact normal or not? Hey ho, still embracing the fab scan on monday, grown so much & little arms & legs & hands just so big now! Next scan on mon as per usual, consultant on thurs, then a fetal meds super thorough scan on tues 22nd & another dvd hopefully all being well til then! Right off to bath, gonna wrap some more pressies tonight & do last last last bits of xmas shopping tomorrow!!! xxx

can i please borrow some stablizers??? This is one woobling weeble today....

Firstly though moon talk to dh, even if he still doesnt understand the truth will be out there and if he has at least one brain cell it might just sink in, failing that you might just feel better for talking about it...oh and by the way when my friend announced her pregnancy i threw a few plates and ended up sobbing on my mum for a few hours....even when she gave birth i was a bit cos she had no problems, sailed through birth and get pregnant on the first attempt, these feelings are 100% normal.

jools i hope you are resting up, i thought i read you had on a white skirt so was on your behalf! Like you said its probably just the tablets settling in and hopefully kick starting your body back to happiness

curly how the heck are you doing such long hours? im just about done in working 10-4pm, i leave on the 22nd and it really cant come soon enough, even clients are saying how tired i look....so i must like like crap!!!

mermaid ha ha at being caught damaging dh car, such a barbie thing to do! Least dh has a company car so the damaged caused by the tree that sprung up in my way didnt bother dh at all, in fact he loves telling the story Take it easy, the tiredness is a good sign.....

blue woke up thinking about you, havent seen you in a long time ad thought maybe something was happening....come on baby blue!

neeko I fell into the salad cabinate at the supermarket yesterday was leaning up against the glass balancing on the basket, basket slipped and i ended up flattened against the glass....i blame the weight gain, my poor legs are just so tired carrying the extra stone and a half hope you feel better soon, oh and pass on my love to mls

Hello to everyone else, im shattered and have had a v emotional day

This morning dh left at 6am and when i woke up realised he had also taken my house/ car keys...for some reason this seemed the worst thing to happen in the entire world and i went to pieces Two tearful calls to dh later he finally managed to calm me down and let me know where spare car keys were kept only for him to start blasting his horn and screaming before the line went dead.... i was walking the dog at the time and thought i was going to collapse, my over active imagination thought he was dead...i was crying and screaming trying to call him back.

Thankfully he was fine and just cut me off to concentrate on not being in a car crash but god did i panick!

And then earlier i think i saw a trace of blood on the tissue when i went to the wash room, not much but enough for me to notice...i have to keep an eye on it and keep an eye out for baby movements, any changes i have to go to the hospital. It seems ok now, no blood and plenty of movements so fingers crossed.

So im done it, both emotionally and physcially today, dh isnt home until late so i plan a nice bath and early night...

Speak soon love b xxx

bluesatinsash · 09/12/2009 11:09

Hi guys!

Still here just had a busy day with DS yesterday (well busy morning, we curled up on the couch in the afternoon and watched Kung Foo Panda ).

Mermaid - the truth will always out!! I scraped DH's brand new V70 Volvo alloys one week in and just told him noncholontly (sp?!)he just shrugged and said, well these things happen (whilst probably cursing me under his breath ha ha!) Hope you are taking it easy madam!

4ever - missing your posts! What are you up to this week?

Neeko - how are your bruises? That sounded v. sore . We actually just took down the stair ate after the decorator was here. I think I've got more risk falling down the stairs than Ds these days . Hope you manage to sneak in some shoppng today . Send our love to MLS and her poorly DD, wee lamb.

Iggy - still delighted for you .

Curly - 12-hour shift . What do you do again?

Jools - sorry to hear AF was so heavy. I used to flood through at school and it was mortifying. Lovely to hear you're still feeling miles better!

and finally Moon - EDDs that coincide with babies being born are just so so and full of what might have beens. I agree that you should try and talk to your DP about how you are feeling. Have you thought any more of speaking to a councellor? I know you say you are too much of a control freak but I think its us control freak types that benefit the most from speaking to someone and not trying to muddle on on our own.

Well I've just got up as DS stayed at Grannies last night . Off to meet friend's for lunch then have 39-week midwife appointment this afternoon.

Later ladies xx

Good morning from dingy old Gloucester

Moon - still thinking of you - you will get through this patch. I think both of us are just looking forward to the end of this year.

Mermaid - glad to hear you are feeling shattered

Neeko - how are the bruises ??

Poor MLS and her DD Hope today is better

Well, AF arrived one day late and horrendously heavy I actually flooded yesterday - have not done that in years. In the front of a classroom, teaching a roomfull of men and it went though a lined winter skirt and stained that and the chair - eek. I casually grabbed my jumper and hoped nobody noticed - then got a lift to the hotel and noticed a slight stain on the guy's seat Makes me wonder what is going on, but am hoping it is just the tablets changing my mood / hormone levels etc.

Still feeling loads better :0

Right, I'm teaching in ten minutes and I need coffee ! Back later I hope - no internet access in this hotel though

mermaidspurse · 09/12/2009 08:13

morning girls
curly a 12 hour day geez that's looong. I feel utterly pathetic, yesterday I seemed to do nothing constructive at all and suddenly had to collapse for half an hour at 4 completely dead to the world. Guess that's a good sign, no sickness, just dont want to eat anything sweet just loads of hommus. You just reminded me that I have a scan, thats another thing I can't remember anything.
dh is beginning to get over the shock and has noticed dent on car luckily no decernable dent on his bloody bike!

4ever how are you this morning? Please remind us what appointment is lurking next. Have a nice cosy day.

blue you are quiet.... is something happening? Please report in

mls poor dd, I so hope she begins to bounce back. At least she will be better before Christmas. Hope you are ok too lovely.x

moon hope you are feeling a little bit better todayxx.

Neeko · 09/12/2009 07:39

Morning-quick post from me.

Moon Just remember what you are feeling is completely natural and no one is expecting you to feel otherwise. My best friend and I were due on the same day and it took an awful lot of effort on both our parts to keep the friendship strong after I lost my LO. I've now decided that her DS will always help me to visualise my angel and know what he would have been doing at each stage and that strangely gives me comfort as do cuddles from him. Not suggesting that it's a magic answer, but it has helped me. Please talk to your DP - he might not understand, but he never will - being a man - unless you explain it to him.

Mermaid You're sounding chirpy. Hoping the meds are making you feel more in control. Has DH tried to put you in an exhibition case yet?

Heard from MLS last night. Her DD is really unwell with a temp of 39.3 which can be scary stuff. She asked me to say she's thinking of you all and will hopefully be back soon.

I'm off on a skive trip to uni today with my senior class. Might try and fit in some extra Christmas shopping...

Have a good day all.x

CurlyBigPants · 08/12/2009 22:59

Still smiling for 4ever and iggy btw

CurlyBigPants · 08/12/2009 22:58

moon just after my edd I went to visit two friends who had just had their babies and I cried all the way home. It all seems so horribly unfair as it should be you holding the baby in your arms Try and get through this month and as mermaid says, we need to sweep this year out of the way for you. Just hang in there honey. We will help you get through this. We need a plan to get you back to the moon that was, and a plan for TTC, and maybe this time next month we will be getting good news from you. I know it feels lonely right now but you are not on your own. big hugs missus xxx

mermaid bless you for being so lovely as always. Monday will be a massive day on this thread. How are you feeling? Any more symptoms?

cupcake sorry to hear you are feeling down. For what it's worth I think you should let your dh know how you are feeling. You will be a great mum and anxiety is normal. Maybe all of us london ladies should meet up in RL at some stage. We've got sabs to tell us how to do this mummy thing

Sorry for not catching up with everyone personally. Did 12 hour day today and am feeling v pukey so I'm off to my bed
