Thought as there was 955 messages on our old thread that we should have a new one again, its very annoying scrolling down to the bottom.

{grin}

Welcome to our new thread girls.

Should we put our stats again???
saves us thread hopping, and we have had newbies.
I will try and copy some from the old thread.

maddyd · 28/06/2005 12:52

Lunar ask them straight out why they wont prescribe it for you. its awfull what your going through. I hope you get some posotive information soon. Take Care xxxx

Spacecadet you are so lucky to fall agiain so quickly im very but in a nice way. Go away and come back when your full of sickness, puffy ankles and all hot and cumbersome. Only joking, you take care and rest.

spacecadet · 28/06/2005 12:47

hi everyone scan went great, have a little nean measuring 6weeks 6 days

LunarSea · 28/06/2005 11:23

Maddy - I'm just waiting now for the results from the blood tests (14 of them!) to see where we go next which will probably be another month - goodness knows what they do which takes so long.

Depending upon whether they show anything which might explain it or not will probably affect what would happen if there is a next time (presumbly in terms of terms of extra monitoring/testing/scans or whatever), although I suppose it's possible that they could come back and say that there's something which means that trying again isn't advisable.

Best case I suppose is that they either find something which can be managed to reduce the risk, or find nothing and leave it as unexplained.

Then it's back to trying to trying to get a referral or some kind of treatment. Ironically just another 4 months of not conceiving would have got us a referral as 3 years of no success post ds would have been investigated for the possibility of being secondary infertility. In some ways we're worse than back to square one now as that has been ruled out.

I wish they would let us try the clomid - it's hardly an expensive/high tech treatment, it's specifically indicated for luteul phase problems and everyone else seems to be able to get it for general unexplained failure to conceive after about 6 months, so I don't know why I seem to be banging my head against such a brick wall trying to persuade docs to do anything apart from telling us to go away and keep trying.

Oh well - enough ranting, I ought to be working - oops!

maddyd · 28/06/2005 11:00

So when will you investigate. Do you have to wait to see if it happens again??? God Forbid it should

LunarSea · 28/06/2005 10:11

maddyd - no doc says that 3 conceptions in that time is proof that there's nothing wrong. See my other thread about it . I think I need to see if I can find out if any of the other GP's in the practice have an interest in fertility issues, or even change practice if necessary, as I'm not sure that this one really knows what he's talking about. But I can't do it yet as I'm still waiting for results of blood tests after the last m/c which was apparently so atypical (for which read no warning, then sudden instant bloodbath!) that it merits investigation despite not being part of an uniterrupted sequence.

maddyd · 28/06/2005 10:03

Oh Lunar how awfull for you. Are you on medication too as Chlomid or something. The pain and waiting each month is tremendous isnt it.

Good Luck Honey. Where are you in your cycle at the Mo?

LunarSea · 28/06/2005 09:59

They say on the instructions when to start using them - it depends upon the length of your cycle. It's day 9 if your cycle is between 26 and 29 days IIRC - about day 5 according to the instructions for me as I mostly have short cycles but in practice I know they don't give me a +ve until about day 12/13 of 21/22.

I've been doing this ttc lark for so long now (since '96 ) that I think I've tried every method going - ov kits, cm, little telescope/microscope thing, charting... Am so paranoid about it that I usually end up doing all of them together! Not that it's done me much good, as in all that time I've only conceived 3 times (and m/c 2 of them).

HellKat · 28/06/2005 08:55

No idea lol havent read through it yet. Lost when it comes to dates etc. Just normally go by bodily changes here as each month is different to the next.

maddyd · 28/06/2005 08:44

Think i will use those next month too so i def know if ovulated. Wht day are you meant to start using them CD1????

HellKat · 28/06/2005 08:28

Just going for it as always. Seems to work for me but will be using ov kits too.

maddyd · 28/06/2005 08:15

It was on last night after Little Angels. On BBC3. We got freeview.

Yes ill do 10 day dpo and then leave it. So ill do thurs or Fri.

So your af will be finishing soon Hellkat. Are you just going for it or are you charting too?

HellKat · 28/06/2005 08:09

*when.
No Maddy did'nt watch it. But I'm a sucker for the birthing programmes on Living.

HellKat · 28/06/2005 08:03

{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}} aww babe!!
As you said, still very early. Weird about the gum thing. Whehn I'm pg, my gums get very tender. Then the rest kicks in lol. When are you going to try testing again? What about 10 dpo?

maddyd · 28/06/2005 07:58

Sorry Girlies was a bfn. Not that i expected a bfp. Mind you my gums were bleeding this morning which is a sign for me. Saying that im only 8 dpo so still a chance, but i doubt it. Think ill start a thread a see if anyone has used these early e bay tests and if anyone actually got a postotive result.

Last night i watched desperate Midwifes and everytime a baby was born i cried. Why on earth did i watch it any one else do this or am i the only nutter.

HellKat · 28/06/2005 06:30

Maddy- Best of luck hun!!!!! Really hope it's bfp! You still testing around 7.30? Ohhhhh I'm all nervous for you lol
Humphreys- I had alot of cramps after mc too. Not sure what they are. So much so, constantly running off to check if I'd "come on". How are you otherwise?
Here's to a sunny happy happy joy joy day with millions of positive vibes sent to Maddy.
xxxx

HumphreysCorner · 27/06/2005 21:52

Evening all

Hot at work again today-drank endless cups of tea to try and stay awake.

Titania-how are you hun, did you see the Doctor-really hoping it is a BFP for you {{x}}

Cori-good news-fingers crossed for you.

Actually-fingers and toes crossed for all of us. Just received 3 more early testing sticks off EBay today. I keep telling myself I won't need them all but hey, who knows. The first time I bought 3 and tested positive with the first one and wondered what I was going to do with the rest (thought I would keep them for my third baby and in a way I have). Have bought endless amounts since.

Tabs-absolutely delighted for you-excellent news. Have everything crossed for you (ooh-er missus) {{x}}

Where's Diddle? Oh, there she is! Ha-Ha!

Maddyd-hope you are our next graduate. {{x}}

What will happen to our thread when we all graduate-it will be no more

But we will all be so excited so it won't be too sad.

Still no AF here so don't know what the annoying cramps are-perhaps the scan on Wednesday might show something.

Crikey, what an essay!

Right everyone,I'll be back tomorrow after another glorious day at work.

Love and hugs to all you girlies.
x

maddyd · 27/06/2005 20:06

Hellkat you put in yor temp, cm texture, moods, breast tendersness, when you bd,d just about everything really. Its good as in it passes the days till testing or whatever, but ill go my body i think as my temping is rubbish. For one i get up before i test and for two i use the kids ear thingy for my temps and its not very consistant. All fun though

HellKat · 27/06/2005 19:30

Diddle- {{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}} great to see you hun! Hope you're having a great time.
Be back tomorrow all. Ds1 wants comp.

great to see you Tabs. So glad everything's progressing well.
Maddy- on that fertility friend, what sort of data do you need to put in. My cycle's been all over the place so no idea of who, what, when or how lol.
