Thought as there was 955 messages on our old thread that we should have a new one again, its very annoying scrolling down to the bottom.

{grin}

Welcome to our new thread girls.

Should we put our stats again???
saves us thread hopping, and we have had newbies.
I will try and copy some from the old thread.

Diddle · 04/07/2005 18:05

xena - yep missed them towards the end of my hols and i had 4 days at home after we got back, and it was very strange not having them here.
Especially the little ones that i have every day.

Cori - You sound very positive about you're AF coming, and it won't do any harm to ahve another, it will ensure you're all cleared out ready for the next beanie.

maddyd · 04/07/2005 18:04

Diddle can we start a new thread soon. 'A fresh new start thread', most of you have just had afs and some having now and hopefully mine will be soon. I just feel such a fool now, i got such bad wind i know my af is coming

cori · 04/07/2005 18:01

Maddyd, am sorry to hear that it was a false positive. At least we all now know that it might be a bit risky using those ultra early tests.

My AF came four days late in the end. Probably to be expected as this only my 2nd periiod since miscarriage.

Spub, Welcome. I have been having Acupuncture too. It should help bring on AF, the day after I had it for that specific purpose my period came.

Xena · 04/07/2005 17:51

Oh MD i'm sorry extra BDing for you next month
Hellkat Very tempted but it will bugger up the wotk plans I've made.
Diddle do you miss the kids when you go away?

Diddle · 04/07/2005 17:45

you're not a plonker, you just want it so much, and false positives are very rare, so who would think for a 2nd that it wasn't really a positive. You take it easy and don't be too hard on yourself.

OP posts:
maddyd · 04/07/2005 17:42

Early tests are ok, the ones from the shops but dont get the ultra early ones. Its not worth the heartbreak

maddyd · 04/07/2005 17:41

Its ok i just feel such a fool now Everyone was so pleased for me. I was pleased for myself . What a complete plonker

Diddle · 04/07/2005 17:38

oh maddyd think i got the wrong end of the stick, forgot Af hadn't arrived. you never know you might still be, I want to be positive but also don't want to get you're hopes up.

I'm very pleased you told us about the false positive thingy, it has put me off testing now and i will be waiting until AF is due before i do any more, unless i'm desperate.

OP posts:
Tabs · 04/07/2005 17:37

Oh Maddy - really sorry to hear that then. Hoping that you don't have to wait much longer for a good strong BFP.

maddyd · 04/07/2005 17:25

Period is only a day late but its on its way i can tell. I wont tell you how i know as my af sign is embarrassing.

I have done shed loads of tests and theres no pint in kidding myself. I phoned the doctor and he said although rare it is possible especially with what ive been trough and for using the ultra early tests. he thinks they shouldnt be allowed. Anyway normal tests from now on. Hurray up af.

Good news is lots more bding i am sad, very sad, but its my own fault i set myself up for a big fall. Someone did warn about it on an early thread that Piliketh was doing and i was so 'what does she know' turns out she was right.

Tabs · 04/07/2005 17:18

Maddyd - you say that this period is late - so have you tested again? What was the result?

I'm so rooting for it not to have been a false pos!

HellKat · 04/07/2005 17:17

{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}} Maddy!!
Still could be though! Will keep everything crossed for you. How late are you now?
Welcome newbies! Sorry to hear Spub. Fingers crossed your af comes soon then things can be relatively "normal" again.
Xena- are'nt you tempted?

Diddle · 04/07/2005 17:14

bye bye lottie, have a good evening
xxx

OP posts:
Diddle · 04/07/2005 17:14

Maddyd - Oh Sorry hun Big Hugs x x

Lottielou · 04/07/2005 17:13

Diddle - Yeah you should see it! it's not what you will expect, believe me!
Missing you too huni, i will pop in and out to stay in touch, perhaps later this month i willbe ready to be back on.
Well off for the evening now, will catch you tomo hun.
Maddyd - Does that mean your not PG? x

maddyd · 04/07/2005 17:11

i think basically i tested too early and it didnt implant. Next time ill wait till my period is late. Mind you this one is.

maddyd · 04/07/2005 17:10

A Warning false positives do happen. rare but do!!!

There is a down side to extra sensitive pregnancy tests though. 25% of all pregnancies unfortunately end in miscarriage and many of these being very early pregnancies. If you use a very sensitive pregnancy test, where you test before the day your period is due, you could catch an early pregnancy but end up going on to have your period anyway due to a very early miscarriage. Some women will find it very hard to deal with this sort of emotional rollercoaster.or

False positive results can occur if pituitary gonadotrophin levels are elevated in the urine, for example, in older women when ovulation is failing and the pituitary excretes more gonadotrophins to stimulate the failing ovary. Haematuria, alkaline urine and vaginal discharge can also affect the test, but these false positives are decreasing with improved specificity of assays.

Diddle · 04/07/2005 16:17

sorry lottie haven't seen it, but will make sure i do now you've recommended it.
Very pleased to hear your bp is down, was a little concerned. I can understand you not wanting to be talking about baby making and getting pregnant all the time, and if you want to stay away then you should, but im missing you!!!!!!

OP posts:
Lottielou · 04/07/2005 16:10

Hey Diddle - Yeah i had it checked last Thursday. It was fine and back to normal. I have to have it checked quite a lot anyway cos of history of heart problems in my family - What with my Dad having a major one a couple of months back and my g'parents suffering i just need monitoring. I'm fighting fit tho.
Have you seen Million Dollar Baby? I watched it last night... OMG it was amazing. Not good for my emotions tho, it was so so sad. Have been non stop talking about it all day and no-one has seen it where i work so have been demand everyone hire it so i can talk about it. Please say someone has seen it?!?
