I hope everything goes well for you highbury - I had to do about 10 tests after my bfp with DS as I couldn't quite believe it either! We didn't BD that many times this month either - you just never know when your luck is going to be in.

HighburyGirl · 05/12/2009 10:23

Oops - sorry pointsmakeprizes - I'm not very good at this! . Still in shock about the BFP I think - had to do another test this morning to make sure...

HighburyGirl · 05/12/2009 10:21

Thanks nymphadora. If all goes well, this will be our fist child. We have been trying since July and I was very surprised as we only BDed(?) twice last month as DH was tired from being very busy at work. (I'm finding these acronyms a little odd, but suppose I'll get used to them - ).

pointsmakeprizes · 05/12/2009 09:57

Congrats Highbury - is this your first? How long have you been trying for?

Floweryboots can't believe you haven't tested yet! It's looking really good for you, I really think you are going to get your BFP.

Asianbabe - how are you doing? Are you still holding out for our test tomorrow? My temps are still up today so a good sign. I am trying not to symptom spot this month as I have managed to convince myself I was pregnant every other month only to get the bitter disappointment at the end.

HighburyGirl · 05/12/2009 09:35

Hi everyone - I'm new to mumsnet, although I have been reading the messages for a few months now.

Can I join your bus? I got a BFP on Thursday and it is way too early to discuss with people I know (except Mum and DH). By my calculations and if all goes well, I'll be due on 10 August 2010.

BTW congratulations Plant, I still can't believe it myself, so I know how you feel!

PlantASeedWatchItGrow · 05/12/2009 08:33

Thanks everyone!

I went to doctors, got a different doctor to last time. He basically kept saying 'congratulations' asked me if I had a preference over hospitals (which I did after my last birth!!) , took blood pressure, weight and asked a heap of family related questions! Then sent off this form to the hospital. He said he would go by my dates for now (so I'll be due July 20th??) but he is requesting a dating scan to be sure!

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I can't believe it! Good luck to you all!

vix I never get sore boobs before AF, but had then this time, so you never know!

I'd better leave you all alone now, I know you've all been really kind, but you don't want someone hanging around going on and on!

UmBongo · 04/12/2009 21:36

Congrats plant - at least that explains that great long cycle!!!! How did you get on at the docs?

I too am "not obsessing" We have only dtd once this month - Man Flu! But still managing to think that every twinge is a symptom. Aaaargh.

vix206 · 04/12/2009 20:16

Yes my 'not obsessing' has gone out the window too. I am 6 DPO and for the past 2 days my BBs have been so achey and sore, and tingly at night. This is my main 'symptom'. I am trying not to obsess over it but they are so sore and this never happened before. Fingers crossed and lots of babydust to everyone on the bus

FloweryBoots · 04/12/2009 19:49

Could be implantation pains? I'm all for the obsessing today. I have officially given up on not obsessing

lucybrad · 04/12/2009 19:26

another symptom..... now have pre af cramping but I am only on day 18???? told myself I wouldnt get obsessed ...... so much for that lol!

FloweryBoots · 04/12/2009 19:17

WOW, so many BFPs!!!! Not been able to get on MN since last weekend as for some reason it makes my computer crash (hmm, DH claims he's not made it happen on purpose, not sure I believe him ) and really don't want to be cought on a conception thread at work!

So, just caught up on all the news, and what a lot there is. Congratulations to all the BFP woman. Plant, so so pleased for you!

Sorry to wave good bye to those off to Sep bus.

Nymph, hope you're feeling better.

Serriously starting to think could be prego, and also serriously trying to NOT get my hopes up. Bah to all you POAS on Sunday buddies who were weak and did sneaky tests! I'm on a later cycle day then the lot of you and haven't cracked yet!

Period due yesterday (or even day before)and nothing so far so fingers crossed. Really don't have any PG symptoms and did get AF symptoms a few days ago, but they seem to have warn off. Don't really know what's happening but really did think AF would be here by now. Been running to loo every couple of hours to, err, check ! Tendonitis has flared up, is that a symptom? Also got a manky cold sore, but that could premenstral hormones or prego hormones (or just over worked stress).

I think I'd like to crack and test tomorrow but DH keen to stick to plan and wait till Sunday so I'll be hanging on for the en masse POAS (if there is anyone else left who hasn't big fat gone and done it already)

Sorry, long rambling confused post. ARGGHHH.

lucybrad · 04/12/2009 17:09

I am cd 18. Had loads of ewcm on days 10,11,12,13. Had lots of BD on all days and now have reverted back to once every two days. Not sure what day I OV'd? Only symptom I can spot is lack of CM (usually I have creamy till just before period ) but not seemed to be having that this time. Any hopeful thoughts?????

congrats plant

PlantASeedWatchItGrow · 04/12/2009 16:45

Thank you everyone!

I'm off to the doctors in a min, but won't be able to update until tonight! I will let you all know! It will probably be another let down, and they will just say to go by my dates, instead of checking with a scan to be sure! They don't seem to like to do much more than is necessary!

Bewler It's nice that people actually care, so thank you!

jollster Berk!

Bewler · 04/12/2009 15:50

plantaseed I know I appear to be a random stranger [creepy emoticon] but I have lurked on this thread, read your posts with interest and always hoped you would get your BFP. I am really pleased that you have, you must be on cloud nine.

hohohojollster · 04/12/2009 15:43

plant AM SO happy for you!!!!! And please DO see that same doctor! What a berk (ess)... CONGRATS!!!!!

PoppyIsApain · 04/12/2009 15:30

PlantASeedWatchItGrow · 04/12/2009 14:05

Thanks nymph points & Lou

I really can't quite believe it! But it is definitely a positive!

I will let you guys know what happens!

Good luck to all of you, there really does seem to be loads of baby dust on this bus, enough for us all to share!

Such a rollercoaster this month has been. Thanks for all your support too. I've been so confused!

plant that is such wonderful news!! you've just injected hope into all the ladies on this bus. Please let us know the results of any dating scans.

PlantASeedWatchItGrow · 04/12/2009 13:47

If only you girls could see my face right now. I have a smile from ear to ear with tears running down my face!

Just gos to show that it really isn't over until AF comes! Even if you do get -tives!!

PlantASeedWatchItGrow · 04/12/2009 13:45

Sorry! That should be CD53! But who cares!

I ordered some tests off of amazon with ov sticks too, they turned up half hour ago. Tested straight away! The line came up within about 30 seconds!

I am in shock

All those other tests coming back negative! I knew I was PG! Stupid doctor making me doubt myself!

I'm going to phone docs in a min, do you think they will give me a dating scan as I've only just got a +tive after so many days? If I go by my dates I am 7 1/2weeks already!

I might just request to see the same doctor I saw earlier last week!

Loujalou · 04/12/2009 13:44
