growingbump2 · 10/12/2009 13:08

Congratulations Ruby that is great news, do you have any other children? I've got a boy who has just turned two. Not tested today, but I'm despeate to!

Loujalou · 10/12/2009 13:00

Will miss you Lia - well am only 4/5 days past ov and am feeling nauseous but that's normal.... So we will see. Don't have much faith it worked.

vix206 · 10/12/2009 12:51

Anyone else feeling really hungry but no appetite/can't face eating? I feel a bit queasy but I know I am starving because my tummy is rumbling. I made myself a sandwich just with cream cheese lightly spread in it but it tastes all wrong like its moldy. DH says it tastes fine to him.

I can stomach cream crackers so I've munched a load of them!

liahgenispreggerswithnumber6 · 10/12/2009 12:44

Hiya,

Ooh, about 4 hours ago now

didn't even have to squint to see the line.

Was gonna add to stats but can never get it right.

Was shaking when I realised, wasn't expecting anything cos tested yesterday and very obviously neg then.

Have to get due date now, am thinking end Aug.

Congratulations to all graduates and fingers firmly crossed for everyone else.

Loujalou · 10/12/2009 12:22

Congratulations - when did you find out Lia??? Like the subtle name change.

liahgenispreggerswithnumber6 · 10/12/2009 11:57

Hi all,

Haven't been on for a while. How is everyone?

Loujalou · 10/12/2009 10:43

Once an accountant always an accountant. Apart from when it comes to my own money. Maybe we could set up - a we're obsessive with detail help group on here.

PollyPoo · 10/12/2009 10:27

Hehe, I am an ex-accoutant, but still have the obsessive detail tendancy!

Loujalou · 10/12/2009 10:13

Polly that's why I do it on line - so DS doesn't spill water on it. I have found when adjusting it looks much clearer so it must affect it some how me thinks. Oh well its back up you can use for fertility specialist. Good luck with it all. I too am obsessed but am an accountant - so am sad like that.

PollyPoo · 10/12/2009 10:10

Louja I must admit my waking times differ a lot but I haven't bothered setting an alarm - I just take my temp as soon as I wake. Its really interesting that the first two weeks it was pretty level, then a big dip on Day 16, then from 17 onwards it is much higher. (and how sad am I that I find charting my temperature daily 'interesting'!!) Unfortunately DD scrawled all over my chart while I was in the shower this morning but thankfully I can still make out my dots!

Loujalou · 10/12/2009 09:55

Zita West has some affiliated acupuncture people. Might try one of them as a couple near me - also got some vouchers for alternative therapy place so might be worth a try.

My friend went to see the Zita West after years of trying - only for Zita to point out that maybe she was already pregnant. She took a test and she was. Hehe.

Thanks Polly - have been playing with FF as my waking times are not consistent and it definitely looks like I have a temp shift. Think we were having problems as for the 1st 5 months we were using what we now realise was far too much lube. I got TCOYF from the library think you can get quite a lot of info in a short time frame.

PollyPoo · 10/12/2009 09:49

Thanks Louja. I really must get that book... I've been putting it off thinking 'this month I will be/am pregnant so there is no point'. [shame]

I wouldn't worry Louja - I am not actually sure the FC is right. That is why I want to start doing my temps - just to get that bit more info. TBH the hospital were going by blood tests I had done at the doctor in June and Sept (and my fuckwit of a GP didn't twig that the June results meant I was NOT ovulating... grrr). The hospital are going to repeat the tests on my next cycle and give me an HSG before we start the Clomid. If you at all worried, ask your GP to do the Day 3 and Day 21 (or 7 days before period due) blood tests. And when they give you the results, ask them for the numbers so you can check out yourself what they mean - my mistake was trusting my doctor when she said all was fine.

As for acupuncture, I went to an alternative health clinic in Ilminster, our nearest town. She is a lovely lady and has got me ovulating again (the Sept blood results were back in the realms of normal after 2 months of acupuncture). That said though, she is not a fertility specialist so although I'd feel really mean leaving her, I think I will go to Yeovil or Dorchester in the new year where there are practitioners who specialise in fertility. In fact the one in Dorchester is affiliated with a private fertility clinic, and that is all he does. It is more expensive though but if I win a baby then its's worth it!

Sorry for hijacking the thread... BIG CONGRATS to the all the grads, we seem to be on a roll now! Who is next to POAS?

nymphadora · 10/12/2009 09:24

PS Polly where did you have your accupuncture? Was it with a fertility specialist? I might give it a go.

Congrats to all the BFPs. Fingers crossed we get more soon.

vix206 · 10/12/2009 08:55

Congratulations lovesaruby that is great news

Loujalou · 10/12/2009 08:45

Polly in TCOYF there is a bit that says you can have a temp rise without ovulating but its really rare. Its worth looking at the book as its really informative. You have me worried now - as I seem to be having temp rises and positive OPKs but not managed to get pregnant. But am only on cycle 8. Fingers crossed it all gets sorted for you.

lovesaruby · 10/12/2009 08:28

Growing - it mightve not shown up in late afternoon sample either? Last month I just kept testing everyday! Ive just caved - shouldve waited til tomorrow, thats when af is due, but really, really wanted to see if tuesdays spotting was implantation and.........bfp!!!!! Really quite a dark one too on an internet cheapy, feeling much more positive about this one! Sending everyone else dust...!

PollyPoo · 10/12/2009 00:17

So.... can I pick your brains laydeez? We are not really trying at the mo as we've just had our appt with the fertility clinic, and assuming tests come back ok, we will start clomid in Feburary.

Basically, the hospital think that since DD was born (she is 2.5) I have not ovulated despite getting +ives on OPKs, or at least not for the first year of ttc (how gutting is that?) and not every month for the 6 months since. I think it is only the acupuncture that started me ov'ing again. But anyway, I digress - we decided last month to have a few months break until the Clomid starts, but I thought I'd start charting my temperature as it may come in useful.

I have not bothered this month with OPKs and did not symptom spot in anyway. Literally the only thing I have done is record temperature and that went up on day 17 and has stayed up so far (although I'm only on CD21). So what I need to know is - is it possible to get the temp raise mid cycle, if you have not ovulated? Can anyone help? Thank you!

nymphadora · 09/12/2009 21:34

stomach feeling like period is on its way. Nothing yet though

growingbump2 · 09/12/2009 21:19

Congrats Vix on your lovely BFP! Ruby, I tested today late afternoon and got a BFN, not giving up yet tho as 2 days early. Last pregnancy when I mc I tested two days early and got a BFN, didn't get positive for another 4 days so will hold off till Friday, or even Sunday if AF isn't hear before then. Still no symptoms either way! Fingers crossed for you having implantation bleeding!

PoppyIsApain · 09/12/2009 17:31

Oh sorry just re read the stats, im abit to different sorry yellowmum84.

PoppyIsApain · 09/12/2009 17:30

Yellowmum84 i would like to POAS at the same time as you as im CD20 as well, what day will it be.

vix206 · 09/12/2009 17:12

I just did another IC and it was negative, BUT the FRER using the same sample was a very thick, dark second line so I am feeling very happy with that

But early testing is evil and I know that, I am just very weak
