I used asda and chemist own brand they were loads chaeper than clearblue, but this is ovbiously the reason why

Are superdrug own brand better then? Better than clearblue? How much are they?

I really am trying not to get so excited because I feel I am in for a fall, but I HAVE to know!

liahgen · 09/11/2009 13:15

which tests have you tried?

If you ov about 14 days ago, FF website says to get a reliable result either way, test at about 18 days past ov, ( I think)

I hope this is it for you, it really is soul destroying every month.

I would try tomorrow with a superdrug or FR test and FMU. Good luck.

PlantASeedWatchItGrow · 09/11/2009 13:12

I know, but I am holding onto a little hope that it might be my month this month!

Not late yet, but I have a ridiculously long Leuthal stage, so I ov'ed about 14 days ago.

The thing is even though I would be giving the same advice in your position, now that it's happened to me, I'm finding it hard to take my own advice and am getting excited at the 'possibility' that it could be!

Oh well, if I am pregnant I will still be pregnant in a weeks time, it's just hard not to go out and buy a hundred more tests to find out for sure. If I'm not, then AF will get me and I can be for a few days and then again for my next fertile week!

Loujalou · 09/11/2009 13:01

I agree with Lia a line is only a line when it shows up within the time frame... Sorry.

liahgen · 09/11/2009 12:54

sorry to be bearer of bleakness but you should discount any line that doesn't show up in the time stated.

Try fmu tomorrow. Are you late yet?

PlantASeedWatchItGrow · 09/11/2009 12:54

Thanks everyone!

Does anyone have a clearblue test at home? I am tring to find out what measure of HCG they are, I though the ones I had were 10 Mui But I have just read the instructions and it says they are 25mui. I had a look on the website but it doesn't tell you the exact amount it measures??!!

Thanks!

randomimposter · 09/11/2009 12:45

plant, I have everything crossed this is August's first BFP.... Can imagine you are going through hell...

Can't add any expertise to the debate I'm afraid. Think sparkly's advice makes sense though...?

Hope it's not wishful thinking + imaginary lines = disappointment for you. Dunno what brand it is, but if it was -ve in the first place I'm not sure....??!! .

But here's hoping you prove me wrong!!

nattiecake · 09/11/2009 12:44

i agree with sparkly. go to the doctors, tell them you had a positive, and they'll test again. they dont need to know that you weren't positive it was a positive

PlantASeedWatchItGrow · 09/11/2009 12:33

Oh! I can't even tell if there is colour or not I been staring at it so long

I think what I need is for someone to come online and tell me by looking at my posts that I am, indeed PREGNANT!

< disclaimer..I havn't yet gone so insane that I actually think someone has these powers....>

TeaFan · 09/11/2009 12:32

Also see questions 6 & 7 here

SparklyAlice · 09/11/2009 12:30

plant hi, i think you should make an ante natal appointment with your DR. You have had a positive, they will check and either you will be or won't be but you haven't had to spend on more tests

If your Dr's are anything like round here, you won't get an appointment for at least 10days, and you will be sure one way or another by then anyway

TeaFan · 09/11/2009 12:29

PlantASeed most websites say that if the line is colourless then it is an evap line, if it has colour then there's a good chance it's +ve.

HTH

Keep us posted!

PlantASeedWatchItGrow · 09/11/2009 12:19

Gahhhhh!

I need your help fellow passengers!

I done another HPT this morning
Was -tive, then went back 20mins later and I can see a line!!!!! However the line is only visable to MY eyes aparently! I tried to take a pic to post up here, so that I could get opinions, but it just doesn't show up! I can only see it if I hold it up to the light at a certain angle I sound like a mad woman now!

I must admit, it is a very very faint line, and I think it could be an evapouration line, and it was after the time limit.......

I can't get another test, Ive gone through 4 in the past week, I havn't got any more money for tests!

AGGHHHHH! Help!

nattiecake · 09/11/2009 12:13

ooo, CD24, 2ww nearly up!!!

nearly time to do it all over again... (sneaky tactic - trying reverse psychology on my own body! mwa-ha-ha!)

SparklyAlice · 09/11/2009 11:00

It is a slippery slope.......

asianbabe · 09/11/2009 10:57

never thought i'd hear mysef say this but can't wait to ovulate!!!! I can feel the madness creeping back in.

SparklyAlice · 09/11/2009 10:52

Totally agree. Even now with AF at full flow (sorry tmi ) i still feel i have symptoms. Metallic taste in mouth, bouts of nausea, enormous boobs.

I shall compose myself and act in a dignified manner maybe

asianbabe · 09/11/2009 10:48

Sparklyalice I must be going TTC Mad as I had convinced myself I was prgnant had symptons tooo!!!!

This cycle I promise I shall try to behave in a more normal way. Its great we're on the same cycle day good luck to us and everyone else on this bus. Such a drag tho to start all over again.

SparklyAlice · 09/11/2009 10:39

Good luck, hopefully this will be the month for us It is nice to have someone with same stats isn't it, may help with trying to control the madness!!

I must admit, this is the worst i have had period pains in a very long while, talking about adding insult to injury huh?

asianbabe · 09/11/2009 10:21

Hi sparklyalice

I tried it last month as i'm on the August bus now needless to say didn't have any luck with it. But I will try it again this month just to see.

PollyPoo · 09/11/2009 10:20

Morning laydeez. How is everyone? I am feeling crap today - day19, don't think I even ov'd this month so it feels like a waste of a month and now AGES until I can join in the 2ww. I will hang out here in the mean time though, and probably still join Lia for POAS on 19th, if the dreaded witch hasn't got me first.

FrenchLimeBlossom I've updated your stats. I don't know how everyone else does it, but I just copied and pasted and overtyped!

Have a good day all

FrenchLimeBlossom · 09/11/2009 10:06

Hello ladies,

sorry but i think i joined this bus too early so my stats have changed to the below (i'dd add myself in but don't know if there is some complicated formula for making everyone add a day every day.... and do not want to mess with other people's stats!):
