Welcome mrsZaC sounds like you'll fit right in at this mad house on this bus

What are your stats?
TTC # (which child are you trying for)
Cycle (number of cycles you've been trying)
UCL (usual cycle length)
CD (which cycle day you are on)

TeaFan · 13/11/2009 09:33

Lia those are the same tests I had when I went to the doctor for a period that was 3 weeks late and also mentioned weight gain and chin hairs , they came back fine so does this mean i've had fertility tests? We weren't TTC at the time but it would be good to know if my body is definitely doing what it's meant to... Gosh, I just thought she was testing for a hormone imbalance, seems like she was very thorough

I hope that yours all come back ok

Chulita one of the ladies that just got a BFP on the July bus posted to all those in the 2ww saying not to worry about a lack of symptoms as she had none whatsoever

mrsZaC · 13/11/2009 09:18

Hello all...

new to this game so hope you will be gentle Oh and appologies if I'm not using the right terminology... it's all a little gobbledy gook to me @ the mo but I'll learn

Driving myself insane at the moment, convinced that I'm pregnant, however I have convinced myself (&had preg symptoms) a couple of times when i was on the pill and I wasn't preggers so I'm trying to take it all with a pinch of salt, but as I'm sure your all aware, that ain't easy.

I took my last pill on the 26th of October... with the first day of my last 'period' being the 22nd of October... Obviously it's hard to track my ovulation as I haven't had a 'real' period yet. I estimated ovulation around the 4th of Nov, and ever since then I've had the following...

0dpo - 2dpo nausia, very tired
3dpo - banging headache all day
3-5 dpo - creamy coloured cm (visible in underwear) -ewh!
6dpo-now - twinges in lower abdomen, constant bad lower back pain (as if AF is coming)_very bloated stomach.

I think the lower back pain is the one that's driving me crazy, I always get this the first day of AF, or just before but it only usually lasts 2 days at the most and this is day 3 now and AF isn't due till next week... if my cycle is still the same as when i was on the pill.

I know I'm clutching at straws and I wish I didn't do this to myself, it's all I can think about at the moment and it's driving me crazy!!!!

Sorry for the long post, just had to get it out of my system

Chulita · 13/11/2009 09:14

Argh! Got 2/3 more days to wait and don't feel at all pg I felt like I had food poisoning with DD when I was about 3 weeks in so I'm not holding out much hope. I keep imagining sore boobs but then I only stopped bfing about 3 weeks ago so any weird aches could be that. Anyone get pg and not have the slightest clue til AF didn't show up?

PlantASeedWatchItGrow · 13/11/2009 08:43

PlantASeedWatchItGrow · 13/11/2009 08:42

Morning everyone

Good Luck Queen

Well I might be able to get into town today to buy a test. But don't know whther to wait for FMU or just do it tonight. Going to buy a clearblue, so I know it will be accurate. Spent ages last night looking at evapouration lines/faint positives on the internet, still don't know what to think. Hope it's my lucky month, but I will soon know!

Was also going to buy Taking Charge of your Fertility. That is bound to mean I get pregnant. Its got to do the trick...

Look at you all with lots of restraint. I wonder who will crack first. Not that I have no faith in you or anything....

liahgen · 12/11/2009 22:32

Ah polly there you are.

Ok, it's a deal. Can buy some christmas pressies.

Fingers crossed queenie

PollyPoo · 12/11/2009 22:22

Lia I'm here buddy! I am being very good and not testing.... I'm not even wasting my time looking for symptoms as I have none, not even the usual hurty boobs. Which could just mean the droid is running late this month, grrr. How about we hold on til Sunday? Then if its a -ive, we wait until Thurs. Is that a good compromise?

Blimming 'eck Queenie, you didn't hang around did you?! How long did you wait before seeing the line on the test? Good luck with the text in the morning, let us know how you get on.

bigmuther65 · 12/11/2009 22:05

God CD4 not long now till the fun starts can,t wait for my 2ww.
How exciting QueenMercury fingers and legs crossed(well AF is still here) for you

QueenMercury · 12/11/2009 21:25

omg, i don't know if i'm seeing things but i just did a test (i don't know why because af is not due for 5 days)and i'm sure i can see a faint positive line!

i stopped taking the pill on 17/10, had a withdrawal bleed from 21/10 so counted cd1 as that day so shouldn't be due af until next tuesday/wednesday.

am i just seeing things or is this possible?

i'm going to do another test in the morning to see if it is any stronger

liahgen · 12/11/2009 19:37

Evening ladies

Where is my POAS buddy? I am getting itchy and will have £20 burning a hole in my pocket tomorrow. Due on 19th, that's 6 days early, shall I splash out on a FR?

Stop me wasting my money ladies.

So had my progesterone test today, they've done
FSH
Thyroid
Progesterone and LH

so we will see.

Anyone else sitting on their hands over the weekend. ?

TeaFan · 12/11/2009 19:34

Lol at DHs, mine has informed me that he won't do it unless i'm fertile because it's a 'waste' Am considering telling him a little fib tonight

nattiecake · 12/11/2009 19:02

evening ladies

based on plant and loujalous logic, im off to stock up on liver, cat poo and vodka

mabh - not sure how to explain the window licking without possibly offending someone dont know if its more or less offensive to just say that its a hint at being "special"

nattie x

PlantASeedWatchItGrow · 12/11/2009 17:54

lou I had the chemist own brand, probably similar to the e-bay ones but just inside plastic. I did go back up there to try to get a clearblue (I saw them in superdrug for £8.50 for two) but they only had digital ones which were £8.95 for ONE!

So I will have to wait until the weekend to go into town for the normal CB unless AF gets me before then!

Knowing my luck I will test, then Af will come along a few hours later!

lovesaruby · 12/11/2009 17:20

Mabh - the window licking was an idea of another mumsnetter - I was happy to just rock in a corner whilst I go slowly insane! I do hope you enjoy your weekend! No quickies allowed!

mabh · 12/11/2009 16:31

Can we have some bfps, please? I keep have to go over to the old July bus to see them.

weeks for me yet... still waiting for my new monitor to tell me when/if I ovulate!

LOL at the reluctant DHs. Mine started out thinking it was a great excuse for a shag-fest. Now month 4 and he has announced that he only has time for quickies... charming. Thank goodness this month's critical period should be this weekend, so I can force him into foreplay.

How romantic

I am completely mystified by the window-licking, but you seem to enjoy it, so...

lovesaruby · 12/11/2009 14:41

Afternoon ladies, hope everyone in the 2ww is coping better than me! Dh is even bugging me already to poas, what chance have I got of waiting if he's at it already! I did want to pick your brains though - anyone who temps know anything about implantation dips? I had a big dip in my temps yesterday (8dpo) and then back up again this morning and, looking back on my chart when i conceived dd2 I had a dip the day before an implantation bleed. What does everyone think? Am I looking too hard for signs?? (Trudges off back to continue rocking in the corner, maybe lick a window or two )

Cazzr · 12/11/2009 09:27

nattie: for you but will no doubt be joining you soon on the next bus.

Plant: test!test!test! Heh I am a bad influence.

FloweryBoots: I know what you mean, we weren't even trying with DS and it was a one time 'shot' if you get what i mean. Because this time round is 'planned' it seems harder/more stressful. I think I scared DH off too so have more or less written this month off (tho not going to jump off the bus just yet just incase) and have told DH I'm not instigating sex from now on till he decides to go for it!
I'm not temping but have known for months my cycle is pretty standard as I always get ovulation pains on day 14 so it's hard not to know the best time to try has arrived...

Loujalou · 12/11/2009 09:08

Plant you are right its a proven theory buy lots of non-pregnancy friendly stuff then you will get duffed. Well here's hoping. Fingers crossed it wasn't an evaporation line. Which test have you tried?

Although my temps are all over the place FF thinks I have ovulated. Hoorah! So we will see. I wasn't convinced and its my first month temping.

PlantASeedWatchItGrow · 12/11/2009 08:41

nattie no I havn't made an appointment, am guessing it must be an evapouration line, I just wish I know what one of those looked like, so I could compare. But if no AF by the weekend I am testing again!

loujalou That is bound to work, and a proven fact!

FloweryBoots · 11/11/2009 23:33

Crikey. Braved making my first ever post a few days ago, just logged back in and it's taken me half an hour to catch up! You're a keen ol' bunch!

Frankly quite terrified that here seems to be so much involved in TTC - Temps, OV dates, gunk I'm not sure about, OV pains I'd never heard of, all kinds of sticks to wee on and calanders to follow. I'll be going for the having sex and hoping it happens approach, at least for now (can't say what sort of a wrec I'll be in a few months if that doesn't instantly work!). Of course that does reliey on DH stopping being terrified and actually agreeing to sex, which as yet hasn't happened. Apparently waiting till after the weekend will make all the differece and he'll be keen as mustard. I'm not convinced! Trying not to get cross though - it's hardly romantic.

PoppyIsApain · 11/11/2009 22:56

so happy for your friend toffee, i love this thread cos everyone understands what each other are feeling, thank you for showing me support, going bed now night all x {smile}

ToffeeMuser · 11/11/2009 22:52

Aw, poor rabbit. It's so sad when pets die. I cried for weeks when my cat died.

I am currently basking in other people's baby news. Someone I know has got pregnant just weeks before she was due to start IVF. I am very, very happy for her as she's been waiting so long.
