Still no AF here! I'm so confused! I don't know what to do! I tried to get some cheap tests from amazon earlier, but postage for 1-2day delivery was £12!!!! The tests (ov and PG) and a basal thermometer only came to £5, on thier own, so I wasn't going to pay that for them!

The last test I done was last week, Thur or Fri , all have been -tive. Is it possible to be pregnant and still have -tives??

mabh · 23/11/2009 17:28

Oh, and go to New Moon in Kendal.. that Pattinson bloke does the trick

mabh · 23/11/2009 17:26

nymph oh I see. A592 and Backbarrow bridge shut. (**&%$£ this is going to be annoying! If it's any comfort, I couldn't have got there, either - Pooley Bridge flooded, St. John's in the Vale shut.

Hey-up -

nymphadora · 23/11/2009 17:08

I meant I couldn't have got there ^mabh

More BFPs please. We really need them. Congrats to Chulita, Queen and Kaylo.
Had convinced myself this was the month, but the witch caught up with me. Anyway, new cycle, new hope.

Sorry to hear that goldie .

Flowery I know what you mean about symptoms. I found the problem is that I got so unused to things not changing during the month when I was on the pill, that every little thing still feels odd to me and I used to convince myself it was a pg symptom. Sadly so far, have only been 'normal' cyclical symptoms! And are you another veggie?

Nymph we have more in common than living in the middle of nowhere. I too am a veggie and am at Zeffirellis cafe roughly every other Saturday. We find that the cinema is often very quiet for the Saturday afternoon showing, if you are ever free then. I don't know Backbarrow - I went to North Lakes Spa for my hen night.. ahem... are you sure we aren't related???? I'm not sure that the centre of Ambleside was flooded - I thought it was just the access road. Could be wrong, though. In the meanwhile, mainline that chocolate mousse.

mummy mrszac points I never got a +ve on OPKs despite getting ovulation pains. I now have a CB monitor and it picked OV right up, on the pain day. I don't know what it is about the sticks - maybe you have to have incredibly concentrated pee or something.

Sorry for the long post folks... you have been interesting over the weekend...

Shirazz · 23/11/2009 12:53

sorry to see you at the back Lou and Goldie do you mean retiring as in not trying again for another?

I am 8dpo and have a strange lower area dragging ache (around bikini line level) which I have never felt before. Or maybe its early AF pains - however it does feel different to those. I think perhaps I'm over analysing though - as you do Anyone had anything similar that resulted in positive test?

TheAuthoress · 22/11/2009 22:22

Hi girls!

I'm new to this & would like to join the August bus please!! According to the MN due date calculator if I'm sucessful this cycle my due date will be 27th August.
AF got me today, so my stats are TTC#1 CD1.....umm I think that's it!!
I'm 28 and tarted trying to TTC in October, after being on the pill for about 11 years, so this is my third cycle - first month I didn't really pay much attention to anything, last month I started tracking dates etc and I've bought some ovulation sticks in preparation for this month!!
Best of luck to everyone!!

PoppyIsApain · 22/11/2009 21:06

Cheers Muser

Muser · 22/11/2009 21:02

I've never done it Poppy. But from what I understand you need a basal thermometer. That's different to an ordinary one, it can record much smaller changes.

You take your temp every morning at the same time before you do anything. When it rises you're oving, but that's where my knowledge is a bit hazy. I think you can use the Fertility Friend website to help track your temps. That and monitoring EWCM will help you pinpoint the right time.

PoppyIsApain · 22/11/2009 20:53

Sorry but what is temping, i would like to try anything, can anyone please explain it to me

Loujalou · 22/11/2009 20:44

Have started temping and am going to carry on. Seems much cheaper and something to take to the doctors if I have to resort to that option.

manchestermummy · 22/11/2009 20:08

Hello and huge congrats to all the graduates!

Have peed on many, many sticks this weekend, aand all of them have been BFNs. I've had nothing that could even pass as a vague sympton, so I think I will be in need of the chocolate soon...!

SparklyAlice · 22/11/2009 20:06

Hello ladies

Congratulations to all those BFP's!
Chocolate to all those without

I am on day 15 of cycle today. Had EWCM on monday afternoon and tuesday. DH out til very late monday night, then abroad tuesday - wednesday, have had early nights wednesday and friday nights, and today getting cramps in left side (as usual) so going to go up to bed soon just in case it is ovulation pains and not some other random cramping.

Have been a lot more laid back this cycle, mainly i think because i have been so busy with other things i haven't had time to stress. At least with christmas coming up it should help take lots of minds off the stress of babymaking

Muser · 22/11/2009 19:57

Pour Lou, here have some chocolate cake. I hope you do better next month, do you temp at all? That might be a cheaper option than OPKs.

Loujalou · 22/11/2009 19:33

Am at the back of the bus and wondering if anyone has any chocolate cake, I can swap for some ice cream. Oh well onwards and upwards am thinking of getting one of those clearblue fertility monitors but not sure although they are cheap on Amazon.... 60 squid seems a lot but would be worth it if it did the trick. Am also ordering Taking Charge of your Fertility from the library as that is supposed to be really good.

Lia any word on the soy? Are you going to try it this month might try to get some.

Have been sobbing like mad as everyone seems to be getting preggers but not me. Feeling a bit more cheery now.

Forgot to say - Congratulations to those with the BFPs - wonderful to see them already, there should be at least another 10 BFPs before the month is through so there will be a few more lucky ones!

pointsmakeprizes · 22/11/2009 18:48

mrsZaC I use the clearblue fertility monitor - it is expensive to start of with but you can pick up a good bargain on ebay and resell it again later. I have also used the normal clearblue digital opks - the ones that give you a smiley face when you are about to ovulate, I liked those one - again expensive though but means you don't have to worry about interpreting lines.

i have also started temping this month but keep forgetting to take my temperature before I get out of bed.

I ovulated this weekend, think today which am really pleased about as it means I ov on Day 15 and not Days 20 - 22 as normal. Started taking evening primrose oil this month and using acupuncture so think this has regulated my cycle. Even if I don't get my BFP at least my cycle will be a week shorter than normal so I can start over again quicker.

Good luck to anyone testing soon

x

Hey ladies, sorry not be on for a few days, birthday weekend so trying to forget all about it. still no AF but BFN, think the pill is just taking it's time to wear off ah well! what would you ladies reccomend for ovulation testing? xxx
